No, I expect to pay something for the board.  The more boards going out the better the innovation will be.  No reason to limit them as long as they are recouping their costs.

Limited numbers of boards, limited numbers of chips,  Limited time to bring boards up and test them and provide the admin on the engineering samples. Lots of limiting things.

I was surprised how many names came up.  I really would be surprised if they are able to get so many dev boards.  If making them by hand will take quite a while.

I do like that SFards is making them available no matter who ends up with them.

Since they will be "sample" boards, probably hand made, you can expect to pay something close to 1$/Gh (nominal hashing speed).
I'm also interested in sample chips since in july and august last year I worked on a design for Gridseed chips that never came up because I was unable to source the chips.
Maybe this time will be the good one.

Agree 100%. This could be a pretty revolutionary product and the more minds working on how to make them perform ideally the better. I don't mind paying for a board or two in order to help this along.

I don't know but I believe the op mentioned a working model demo in May.  I am waiting for it.

So how do these power specs translate into watts per chip in both modes? Or is there a mistype and those specs should ready J/s? .19J/GH makes no sense.

maybe at the wall .25watts per gh.  best case number

they are vague  as to exact numbers as I type.  152 gh is mentioned but is that for 1 chip?

or is that for a multi chipped testing board?

152 GH/s for a single chip sounds (at least for now) like a pipe dream.

Spondoolies last chip was 200GH, Minion chip was 100GH, so 150 GH seems fine.

Anyway, we'll soon know with the test boards
