What do you guess about he future of bitcoin?

Bitcoin will not replace USD, please be realistic. Bitcoin can replace USD only if the USA decides to acknowledge btc as a default crypto-currency. Which seems impossible atm.

My point is, without a strong country behind them, every currency will die sooner or later.

(more likely "sooner" in before you say; "every currency will die anyway")

I also think this will not happen like MinerHQ said , banks have many other uses aside for saving our money there ... like in case of earning from interest rates of the money we put in the bank for a period of time , these can't just go as many earn this way

I think it will increase bitcoin members from various countries, and maybe you can withdraw your money via atm bitcoin in your city

there are already few atm machines in few cities , forgot which one's though ... its just matter of time before atm machines be in every city , needs more demand perhaps

I think the future of Bitcoin depends greatly on the adoption rates.
I mean it's important that we get more people who actually use bitcoin, not just merchants.

It will happen, it just needs more promotion. Right now all we have is a few hippys on reddit and facebook and twitter.

We need some celebrities and well known people to endorse bitcoin too, people like to listen to role models.

Perhaps Justin Bieber can help us promote bitcoin Cheesy

The thing that excites me is not so much the wealth it could bring to me personally in the future but the amazing things it can and will do in the third world. Giving the incredibly poor of the world access to the worldwide economy will be a revolution in human rights and dignity as well.

I don't think bitcoins will become global currency any time in future, it will just an alternative currency to buy online.

the future of bitcoin imo will be fine because they are
creating bigger block size if the users of bitcoin gets bigger and bigger
so that it can handle those large amount of transaction per minute

Bitcoin's future depends on how XT succeeds with its larger block size. However, due to the controversies of this new alt coin (if I'm correct) Bitcoin's price has been going downward. But I still think that in the future this issue will be solved and thus Bitcoin's price may skyrocket to $1000 and above. Just my opinion Roll Eyes

At this point with all the XT drama happening and devs fighting each other over control, all I can say is bitcoin's future is uncertain, I hope that it becomes bigger than what it is right now but I really can't predict how will it be in future.

Future of bitcoin is what its presenting itself on what its used for mainly..

And thats towards 90% gambling or forms of a money transmitter, just more in volume in the future.

I think bitcoin has a bright future ahead, though its going to take some time to break into the mainstream. I don't think it will ever take over fiat or become so popular that you can spend it everywhere

Up to now, I couldn't really see the benefit of a celebrity endorsing bitcoins. Yes, the celebrity could bring some attention to bitcoins because he/she is using it, but if asked how does bitcoin actually work, if this celebrity knew nothing about it, then it is a massive facepalm. Fame and exposure helps, but it is greatly boosted by backing it up with knowledge.

I was watching the movie Zeitgiest which argued at the very end of the film that we are slowly moving into a world governed by technology and not politics. The way I see it, Bitcoin is one way the world is moving in that direction. I suspect by the year 2018, Bitcoin will be a mainstream currency and it will be accepted everywhere. We will not need federal reserve notes or debit or credit cards. You will be able to pay for everything with your phone.

can't wait till all the 21 millions btc are mined and they slowly start getting lost. then the price would skyrocket.

I think next years will be determinant for bitcoin future, I hope they are as good as previous years
