I think it is necessary to stablish the value of the Bitcoin. Today we don’t know if Bitcoin is a reserve of value as gold is, if Bitcoin is a practical way to pay on the internet, if is valid on non-virtual environments as FIAT money, etc.
This is the preliminary point to get stability in the value, of course few people more volatility and more sensibility to external factors (economic, political and regulation).
In my opinion the most important value of the Bitcoin is the technology itself, and its use on others business –not only in the money-. It will be necessary to developed these other business to get the real Bitcoin value and to stabilize it.

I do not know what might happen in the future of the Bitcoin but the only thing that I am predicting is that in 2017 the Bitcoin is going to be in the thousands.
It has to happen because it did not happen with in 2016 which was a real let down.

Guarantees of course no one will. Yet there are forecasts. Judging by these forecasts the price of Bitcoin will grow. I believe in it. There is a growing demand - goods more expensive

well i dont really agree that in 2017 the price of bitcoin is at $1000 it is sort of really big i think the ranging  price of bitcoin is at 800-900 but we dont know if that will be achieve if a big event that will happen on that time then it is really nice to happen!

We can obviously not predict the right things of future but we can just say what we feel and we say that by seeing the current progress of that thing or the things planned to be done in coming time, and seeing all that we can only predict a better tomorrow for bitcoin.

Of course we can't 100% correctly predict future, but we still see how price changes now, and after some events (like halving) so we can think how price will change in future

I think there is a big problem here. The more acepted Bitcoin becomes, the more laws appear regulating it. And maybe Bitcoin won't be controlled by one country but I think that it still will eventually be controlled by a few of them (Russia, China and USA, I guess). So the more popular it will become, the less from idea of Bitcoin will stay.

Yes, experts are already predicting the price of bitcoin to hit $800 in few weeks but I think it might even reach $1000. I always have hope that bitcoin will never ever fail and so it will be. The two factors you have mentioned, are interlinked. When adoption rate of bitcoin is increasing more investors will come into bitcoin buying. In my country, smart phones are into the hands of old people and illiterate people too. I agree, now that bitcoin price is getting more stable.  Merchant would adopt bitcoin anytime.  High volatility was the reason why merchant are aloof to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment for their goods.  And now that we have seen bitcoin being stable around 620 USD to 640 USD, merchant worries lossing because of high volatility is getting cleared.
