I don't know if I'm too optimistic or not but I really have high hopes for bitcoin in the future like.

1).  High Price
2). Will be widely known and used
3). Almost all merchants accepts it
4). The seed that we planted will bear a fruit (The bitcoin that we kept for investment )

And lastly,

5). The future bitcoin related products and services

Exactly! That was my prediction also. Due to increasing number of bitcoin users, its demand is continuing to increase also causing its price in the market high. Because of that, companies large or small will see its potential and will then tend to accept it as payment for their products and services. Due to its increasing price, we the bitcoin holders will earn money as we sell our hard earned bitcoins in a high price. And lastly, since it is well knowned, most of the new businesses that offers new products and services will be Bitcoin Centered and we can buy it using bitcoin.

Even with my little foray into the world of Bitcoin I couldnt but wished I had come earlier because the today which is the future of yesterday is brighter than yester days and it can only get better. So, in the future which could be tomorrow or next or even 2years from now, I see Bitcoin soaring higher and also see regulations coming and even me not leaving this world.

yeah you're correct in that one dude. bitcoin definitely is going nowhere but up and that means that most likely the government would be involved. im just hoping that it doesn't change that much once the government tries to regulate bitcoin because I'm also seeing in the near future more and more people being aware of it's benefits and using it

The future of the bitcoin is hard to predict because it stays a market that is unstable and can go all ways these days.
I think it will rise more and more and that it will also be more known in the future.

Everyone has his own prediction of bitcoin but at the end we must accept that every prediction is just an opinion. You are right, we're still waiting for that to be happen in the future maybe in 5-10 years later I think.
Bitcoin has been made as digital currency to be an acceptable payment to collaborate with anothers currencies in every country.

Although, now there are some countries more advanced and more extensive used of bitcoin like in China, US, Brazil and Europe where government had been released regulations about bitcoin which increase bitcoin user and price, still there are some zones which bitcoin not developed well enough.
When bitcoin spread widely in those regions, it would be the great time in development of bitcoin. I mean, every one know and use bitcoin as trusted currency at mostly payment like US dollar now.

I also agree on this.  If bitcoin will die it could have died in its infancy.  So the future of bitcoin would be as you stated,

More adoption and people using bitcoin means bitcoin will increase in price.
More people having bitcoin and using it means more merchant will accept bitcoin thus making bitcoin economy stronger.

A few months ago I would have said that I gave bitcoin maybe about ten years.
After that I thought bitcoin would be replaced by another currency.
Now with upcoming segwit I think bitcoin has way more time.

Yup this is just an beginning and bitcoin has a long way to go and I don't think that bitcoin will disappear in short span of time and it will gain more popularity and will gain attention from many people in future so the future of bitcoin is pretty safe and it will reach to new level in coming years.

   I don`t like to guess, I take a good look on facts and then evaluate possibilities. Bitcoin can have bright future, its already accomplished a lot, bitcoin is stable on high price longer then ever. Every week there is some news about adaptation of bitcoin in some country in whole world. This is turning out to be an amazing project.
   Seems like nothing can stop this progress, bitcoin is getting more popular and people start to like it. If nothing disturb this growth bitcoin will have rich future with many followers and users across the world, but I dont think that can happen is some close future.
