1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Kiyosaki Cautions Against Bitcoin ETFs on: Today at 04:06:55 AM
I think this is not new but an old tweet like some weeks ago.

Robert says don't touch the ETF's. Alright fine. I am not doing it. Will it change a thing? No it won't. Then why even care?
He cares because he knows bitcoin ETF is not the real bitcoin while letting people to know that also. Some people will not even see what he posted on X but that does means the truth should not be told.

Institutional investors would buy BTC through spot etf's, even if we tell them that they are not buying BTC in the right way, and the only way to truly own BTC is if you have your own keys, because not your keys, is not your coins. I would not buy BTC through spot etf's, but if people find it suitable to do, then each to their own, people even do worse things, like storing their coins in centralized exchanges, i know it is similar to buying BTC through etf's, but i think it is worst.
ETF is safe than those having their coin left on centralized exchanges but I strongly against both because as storing your coins on centralized exchanges is like not your key not your coin, bitcoin ETFs are also indirectly like that.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Hated someone because he/she win too much, when you are constantly losing? on: June 30, 2024, 10:43:50 PM
- will you (for the sake of peace, maybe to hide your envy, jealousy) continue to go gambling with that friend? And continue to lose your money?
Why will I be jealous. I can not be jealous of something like that. I have a friend like that many years ago and I did not jealous of him. I can not even be jealous of my friends progress. But I wish for progress also.

- or will you tell him point clear that you are no longer interested in going to gamble with him? How are you gonna do it so he doesnt suspect that you are not happy with his constant winnings, when you are constantly losing?
Why not just follow my friend and gamble what he gambles  Grin
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH Senator pushes a Ban to POGOs and All Sort of Online Gambling... on: June 30, 2024, 10:35:39 PM
The proposed bill is due to the recent illegal POGO raids where human trafficking, murder, and money laundering were uncovered. Due to this, one of the Philippine senators believes that the best move is to ban POGOs and online gambling all in all and punish any person who is involved in online gambling activity if the bill is approved.

What about you do you think banning offshore gambling operators and online gambling will solve the spread of illegal gambling activities in a country?
Instead to focus on regulations and ways to reduce illegal activities, they want to ban gambling. Those are two different things.

If gambling is banned in a country, it will result to more illegal gambling activities.

it won't. instead of banning them, they need to take full advantage of the revenue offshore gambling will bring to the country.
According to what I know, offshore gambling may not bring revenue for the government. Local casinos are the government focus because that is where they see taxes from. Although some countries have strict regulations that makes any gambling site that wants to provide gambling services for their citizens to have physical presence in the country.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone has stolen my passphrase and bitcoin on: June 30, 2024, 03:14:07 PM
I thought he could not be able to organise them. But now my bitcoin is gone from my wallet. What should I do now?
It was around 0.1243 BTC. Just crying. Is there any law infrocement unit to help me?
Screenshot your personal message and the personal message the person sent you and upload it on this forum. Also include in the post the txid of the transaction that you are taking about. This is how we can know that you are telling the truth.

I also think that this could be a lie but a made up story in search of merits.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Investment Calculator on: June 30, 2024, 12:09:49 PM
Crypto investment calculator is nice however, I have always had the idea that there are categories of people that it use it. Whales and those who invest to take profit later that is short term holders(pardon me if there is no term like that but you get the idea. Right?). Short term holders who want to make predictions of what the likelihood of their investment would amount to after some time would find it quite handly. Of course it is for those who already have a balanced view of investing in cryptocurrency knowing that there are other factors that are at play and affect the market. Long term holders just invest and forget about it. While there are the category of those who do not care about any investment calculator. They invest in bitcoin and promise themselves that they won't take profit until bitcoin hits $75k.
I can easily use the trading calculator on the exchange for investment calculator as well. But I found it difficult to use the trading calculator even while trading not to talk of using it for investment. I do all investment and trading calculations manually using my phone or computer calculator and the calculations are very simple to do. I guess OP also just only wants to promote that calculator site.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the reputation or guarantee of casino sites being advertised here? on: June 30, 2024, 11:54:16 AM
You can tell them to use Livecasino. It is a reputed gambling site on this forum and almost no complaints. If there is any, they are solved fast if legit. It is a good casino site that someone can gambling.

Does the casino itself worth the blame or bitcointalk forum is to be blamed for convincing bettors to accept any advertised gambling sites to be legit and unwavery to bridge their reputation?
The casinos worth the blame and not us.

Lastly, has there been any casino site advertised in this forum which has ever bridged its reputations?
Yes. Well know one is 1xbit.

I needed to know these so that it does not feel like I am misleading my friends. Behold, they have been disappointed by so many casino companies by their disrepute.
How are you misleading them? I have been using some of the gambling sites and no issue. You see something right and you told them is how I see it
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Was it a Gut's feeling a Mathematical calculation or a Coincident? on: June 29, 2024, 09:42:31 PM
Does a human have the instinct to feel or know the outcome of gambling?  In this article it was said that the winner have the positive guts after buying the ticket and eventually won $2m or is it just a coincident?
It is possible but the same instinct can also fail the person. If his instinct failed him, he will not talk about it. But if his instinct did not fail him, he will tell people about it. His instinct could have truly helped him but what makes him win is luck and not instinct.

So in case where you are buying a lottery or scratch ticket, would you abide by your gut's feeling whether to purchase to bet on the combination of a number?  Do you believe that instinct can help a person win in a chance based gambling games?
No
8  Economy / Lending / Re: loan request | collateral on: June 29, 2024, 01:46:18 PM
I see this more as currency exchange and not lending. You want to borrow $550 worth of coin and give the person in fiat. That is just like currency exchange in form of lending. Why no just buy the coin with the fiat like aliveNFT said already?

You need to let us know your country so that people will know if to have the deal with you or not.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think as a gambler we should allocate specific amount to gamble? on: June 28, 2024, 06:15:27 PM
I use 2% of my weekly income to gamble. It is the same in percentage if you calculate it in month but higher 4 times or slightly more in amount. Sometimes I go up to 5% if I really wish to gamble more. I can not go more than 5%.

I think 1% is good for people but getting less than that would be very little for me.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you also panic when bitcoin price falls more than 10-20% in a day ? on: June 28, 2024, 01:55:28 PM
I invested small amount of bitcoin and I have started another DCA. If the price continues to fall, it would be a profit for me later as it is giving me another opportunity to invest in bitcoin at a lower price.

Bitcoin fall but I do not really see much loss as it would have been with altcoins.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platform require wager on first deposit before withdrawal on: June 28, 2024, 10:22:27 AM
I've recently come across in a platform that has a requirement fora customers to wager their first deposit at least five times before they can make a withdrawal.
This is my first time to encounter a gambling platform like this.
Are you sure it is up to five times? What I have seen before and even the first gambling site that I used requested for is that I should at least gamble with the deposited money at ones.

Which countries side did you see that?

So I want to hear what can you say about this. Is this even legal and good?
This is common. I do not see any issue with it. Maybe because I read the terms of service of the first gambling site that I used and I know all the rules.
12  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-06-28] Bitcoin Attempts to Reclaim $62,000 on: June 28, 2024, 07:22:02 AM
If you want to invest in bitcoin, do you know what you should avoid at times but not all the time? It is analysis. I can remember when bitcoin was rising in price, many of them have been speculating at the time that bitcoin may get to $75000 and then $80000. But bitcoin has been unable to have strong support at $70000. What I think more of is to DCA bitcoin. The price is high right now, it is better to invest with lesser amount of money.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The benefits of Gambling on: June 28, 2024, 07:10:06 AM
1. Socialization
2. Income Generation
3. Employment
4. Support to the Gambling Industry
Online gambling do not really help in socialisation because you can be gambling even in a way that people will not know.

Income generation for the gambling perform owners and their workers. Not for the gamblers because most gamblers are losing.

You need to also explain what you listed for it not give wrong information to people.

We've seen a lot of things enough to consider why gambling must exist. Maybe we just correct our views that gambling is bad because this also helps other people. We don't just focus on the bad things like addiction and debts that a person may commit by being an irresponsible gambler but also, must see the benefits it gives to the community and in our personal lives.
We also focus on the bad side as a means of telling people to avoid addiction and not to use more than what they can afford to lose to gamble.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bookmaker's predictive mistakes. on: June 27, 2024, 11:54:07 AM
I would like to explain in more detail what I mean by bookmaker errors: these are prediction errors. That is, when your bookmaker miscalculated the odds and your bet on an outsider, for example, worked and brought you a big profit at a high odds.
Sometimes you will think that the bookies are wrong but when you select the match, the result can be not in your favour. I saw two recently but I did not bet on the matches because I was kind of not to take it. The first was over 2 odd while the second was over 3.2 odd. The 2 odd drew the match while the 3.2 odd won the match after 90 minutes during 5 minutes extra time.  I have won bets like this before also. But I do not look for them, I saw them when I am looking for matches to bet on. It is not often at all to see such matches.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: basketball or football: Which sport is more profitable in relation to sports bet on: June 27, 2024, 03:22:10 AM
He said that basketball is more profitable than football because of this.
I bet with basketball and tennis less often and I have not lost any bet there before. If I can remember, I have not bet with both more than 5 times before. But if I start to gamble with it like football, I believe everything will change and I will begin to lose just like football. Your experience, how less frequent you gamble and your analyses is what that matters because you can bet with some football matches and win or lose and that can happen with basketball also.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the merits and demerits of casinos setting withdrawal limits on: June 26, 2024, 12:39:10 PM
This is the reason I felt we can discuss the merits and demerits of casinos setting withdrawal limits. What is your opinion?
I do not think this is what discussing. If I win huge amount of money, I will prefer to withdraw the money at one time. If I am not able to withdraw the money at one time, I will continue to withdraw the money every 24 hours until I finish withdrawing the whole money. I will prefer gambling sites not to have withdrawal limit at all as long as I am verified on the gambling site.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Won $4 Million and Died… on: June 26, 2024, 08:42:03 AM
Have you ever had a time when winning a large sum caused inconvenience and did not bring you the joy you expected?
If I win a large sum of money, I will feel good and enjoy myself before I will start a big business. This kind of news should only bring joy and not death. I have not heard of or seen any news like this before. Probably the man may be suffering from cardiovascular disease and that news may trigger heart failure is what I guess.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY on: June 25, 2024, 03:03:24 PM
That is my personal text. It is good to gamble responsibly. It saves time and money. I always advice all my friends to gamble reasonably.

There was a recent case in Australia where a man lost his entire life savings of $400,000+ in a 48 hour gambling spree.

The gambler lost $12,000 in a single bet and then tried to chase that initial amount but ended up losing his life savings.
Give us a link to the case so that we can also read it. Although we have seen many of it and we have learn lesson for us not to make such mistake.

I am a seasoned and experienced gambler and my one piece of advice to people is to only bet what you can afford to lose otherwise you are setting yourself up for failure.
This can begin with good risk management and having gambling budget. 1% of weekly income is recommended.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Components In Marketing A Casino What's The Best Option For Owners on: June 25, 2024, 01:17:12 PM
If the casino has money, he can go for many of the marketing option. The more the option gone for the more people will join the gambling site. The more the options gone for, the more people will think the casino has money and people like something like that.

If there is no enough money for marketing, you can begin with a signature campaign on this forum if you have like $10000 to $20000. But one thing that someone that wants to begin a gambling site should know is that marketing can take money just like the amount you used to setup the gambling site.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone really win the max reward on Free Wheel Spin of a casino? on: June 25, 2024, 12:48:18 PM
The max win would be difficult to win. The max win of the free spins that I have tried before are more than at least 1000x. They are even more than 1000x which I will say is an underestimation because they can even be 5 times more than 1000x or even still more, depending on the game. I have won over $200 before and not more than that. If $1 for each spin, I suppose to win probably $1000 or even more. I have not being towards max win before.
