1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 14, 2024, 05:22:38 AM
So it turns out that this is another UFC vs boxing war? How simple. And stupid. Imho these are two different audiences, and fighting for their purse isnt smart. A true boxing fan will never turn his tv channel to watch UFC fight. Simply because boxing is a gentlemen fight and it isnt fair to "hit grounded opponent". The same as UFC fan most likely will see boxing as boring, because of limited variety of strikes.

I very much disagree if everyone has assumed that this is a UFC vs. boxing war. This is a business vs. business war and the winner might be the promotion of Al Haymon on Canelo's fight if the earnings of each on tickets and payperviews are compared hehehe. The UFC can also be victorious because of the Sphere. The fans might be very excited on this and how this will appear inside and on the screen. However, if Canelo's opponent is David Benavidez, I am quite certain the UFC will lose on business vs. business for the Mexican Independence day weekend.

I predict all of the Mexicans in UFC 306 will be victorious. According to uncle Dana, this is his love letter for the people of Mexico.

2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: September 14, 2024, 04:28:04 AM
You are correct on surveys and polls, however on prediction markets, you are mistaken, I reckon. The participants in the prediction markets are betting real money and they have their desire to win from this bet. If to choose between the polls or the prediction market as a guide on how this election might conclude, it might be better to choose the percentages of the prediction markets.

On depending on them completely, who is doing this? They only guidance on where presently are each of these candidates on their chance of victory heheheeh.
It all comes down to the human size factor. All of these polls, surveys, betting markets etc only focus on a small sample size which is why they are meant for reference only. If the sample size was big, this would be a completely different conversation.

Also, there are many people out there who completely depend on these statistics like fools thinking they are 100% accurate. This is why many of them were stunned when Clinton lost against Trump.

I very much agree. This is also certainly similar for prediction markets. If the total amount of bets is small, this would not give a very accurate reference on what is the reality of each of the candidates' ratings. However, it appears that the total amount of bets are reaching a size that might give everyone a very close reference on each of the candidate's ratings?

Polymarket approaches $1 billion in bets for 2024 presidential election winner

The decentralized prediction platform Polymarket accumulated a nearly $900 million bet for the winner of the United States 2024 presidential election.

U.S. Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris leads the way with an estimated 50% chance of winning and a bet surpassing $127 million, according to the platform. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump comes in a close second at 49% winning odds and a nearly $144 million bet.

3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gloom Boom Doom thread on: September 14, 2024, 03:11:43 AM
There is another boom news published.

Michael Saylor has again bought bitcoin! Is everyone beginning to become more boomish? Many good news are happening in the cryptospace. On September 29, CZ will be released. This might also cause another pump which would certainly increase bitcoin's price to more than $65k.

Another is Sam's appeal which might shorten his sentence to less than 10 years in prison. This might be good news for some executives in the cryptospace, I reckon.

Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy Purchased 18.3K More Bitcoins for $1.1B

The firms holdings have risen to 244,8000 bitcoins worth about $14 billion at current prices.

The new purchases was made at an average price of $60,408 per token, Executive Chairman Michael Saylor said in an X post on Friday morning, boosting the company's holdings to 244,800 BTC. MicroStrategy's cost basis for those holdings is $9.45 billion, or an average price of $38,585 per bitcoin. At the current price just under $58,000 the stack is now worth about $14 billion.

4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX comedy and might be another exchange that bites the dust? on: September 14, 2024, 02:45:13 AM
News update.

It appears that we might witness another court trial comedy show on Sam Bankman-Fried hehehe. This will be very good entertainment for the bull market when everything is beginning to pump to new all time high.

In any case, will the market also pump more stronger on news of Sam's early release similar to the storyline of the release of the savior CZ?

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has formally appealed his fraud conviction, requesting a new trial and accusing the judge overseeing his case of being unfairly biased against him.

Last November, a New York jury convicted Bankman-Fried of seven counts of fraud and conspiracy tied to the collapse of his crypto exchange in November 2022. In March, U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan of the Southern District of New York (SDNY) sentenced Bankman-Fried to 25 years in prison for his crimes.

Bankman-Fried's lawyers also charged procedural violations, saying the judge ordered an "unlawful" forfeiture and "Bankman-Fried was erroneously deprived of Brady material" – evidence that would have favored the defense which, if deliberately withheld, could result in the case being thrown out.

The 32-year-old Bankman-Fried's trial lawyers had suggested a lighter sentence of 6.5 years. The government had sought a much heftier 40-50 years in prison.

5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Harris Vs Trump - Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election on: September 13, 2024, 04:08:22 AM
Trump's only chance to get the lead again on the polls and the surveys will be an economic recession that will cause more than 50% of the voting population to choose the republican than continue with the economic policies of an ally of Biden.
An economic recession within the next few weeks doesn't seem possible to me, but who knows. Time will tell.

Agreed, because the democrats will use everything in their machinery and all of their tactics, maneuverings to manipulate the monetary policy to cause the recession to occur after the election. Have you watched the Big Short? The banking crisis in America was noticed already by dr. Burry and other traders since 2005, however, the recession and bubble burst occurred on 2008. This will be certainly something similar to the present occurrences in their economy hehehe.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: September 13, 2024, 03:26:26 AM
Dana was risking UFC 306 by scheduling it on Sphere right next to the place of the Canelo vs Berlanga fight which is also dedicated to Mexican Independence Day.

It appears that you are only saying something because of your own opinion and your own assumption without reading news updates heheheheh. The UFC had the slot already for T-Mobile arena similar to UFC Noche last year where they also celebrated the Mexican independence day weekend. However, the people from MGM who were in charge of the arena gave the slot to the promoter Al Haymon without asking permission from uncle Dana and the UFC. Their contract in Las Vegas only allows the UFC to organize their payperviews in T-Mobile but the owners allowed them to organize this in the Sphere because of MGM's mistake.

As mentioned, Dana White and the UFC were forced to move their Mexican Independence Day special event to The Sphere after the T-Mobile Arena was unexpectedly booked for the Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga fight on Sept.14.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Vitalik might become the new John McAfee hehehe on: September 13, 2024, 02:50:52 AM
I do not trust the posts of this Vitalik in social media anymore. He was sharing bullish thoughts on Ethereum for this month, however if you look onchain, the Ethereum Foundation which is under his control and his personal wallet were sending ETH in exchanges for dumping.

Is his plan to publicly mention these projects that are in stage 1+ in decentralization are really the tokens of projects that he and the members of the Ethereum Foundation are holding? This is very headshaking behavior.

I take this seriously. Starting next year, I plan to only publicly mention (in blogs, talks, etc) L2s that are stage 1+, with *maybe a short grace period* for new genuinely interesting projects.

It doesn't matter if I invested, or if you're my friend; stage 1 or bust.

Multiple ZK-rollup teams have told me they're on track to be stage 1 by year end. I'm excited to see that happen!

Of course we should not throw away training wheels become we're actually confident that the proof systems are secure; that would be irresponsible. But stage 1 (75% threshold on council to override the proof system, 26%+ of council must be outside the rollup team) is a very reasonable moderate milestone. The multisigs I'm in have not had a single liveness failure in years, let alone 26%.

The era of rollups being glorified multisigs is coming to an end. The era of cryptographic trust is upon us.

There are speculations and unconfirmed declarations in social media that our favorite uncle, Gary Gensler is being investigated. There was no information shared, only a statement that has said Gary Gensler is being investigated.

However, I wish that this was true heheheeh. Uncle Gary's tactics are an abuse of being in the position of an SEC chairman.

Trump is leading against Kamala with only 8% on Polymarket.

https://polymarket.com/event/presidential-election-winner-2024?tid=1725946334167
These surveys, market polls etc are just useful for reference and never tell the complete story which is why depending on them completely is downright silly.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Harris Vs Trump - Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election on: September 12, 2024, 06:09:10 AM
It appears that the Donald Trump is losing this.

That's what I've read, that as it seems Trump has slacked in the debate, or that Kamala has clearly won it, if we prefer to put it that way. I even saw a Fox commentator say in a short Youtube clip that Trump had a bad night.

https://youtube.com/shorts/5vB_Y7HeE1E?si=51sySyB_g35QBvWv

It's from another channel that brings up the debate that was on Fox, I'm not sure if Fox itself is going to make a big deal out of it.
there was never any agreement for a debate on Fox. Trump lied about it, and the media repeated it.

The next debate that was planned after this 2nd debate was cancelled with both from the team of Trump and the team of Kamala being in agreement of the cancellation. If there are mentions of another debate, this is certainly fake news.

This debate was the decider of who will be the next president of America and it very much appears that this will be Kamala Harris. Trump's only chance to get the lead again on the polls and the surveys will be an economic recession that will cause more than 50% of the voting population to choose the republican than continue with the economic policies of an ally of Biden.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hong Kong regulators might allow spot ETF on: September 12, 2024, 05:47:40 AM
News update.

Bitcoin's spot ETF in Hong Kong might have been not be in the discussion or in present storylines, however, according to the head of research of FalconX institutional brokerage firm, there is a chance that this will change soon.

The article also mentions that inflows from China might not be coming because of China's policy against the cryptospace. But I speculate that this might change because China will clearly need to join the cryptospace market or be the last in the race to rule the cryptospace. I predict that Hong Kong will be the proxy of Shanghai in the beginning.

David Lawant isn’t giving up on Hong Kong crypto ETFs.

Lawant believes the prediction Hong Kong ETFs will reach $1 billion in assets by the end of the year can still be achieved.

On the bankers, the rulers from Wall Street and CBDC. Do you know how much of control over money will be given to your rulers if a CBDC is used by a country? Also, Wall Street is only all in bitcoin as a speculative investment heheheheh. Do you not understand this?

Why would a CBDC make any difference whatsoever? Something like 90% of USD is already held digitally. Why especially would making the last 10% that's floating around in paper change anything? The US isn't going to have a CBDC because there's no reason to have one. Physically dollars will be used less and less and eventually they will just be gone from everywhere but eBay in the collectables section. Those physical pieces of paper will be replaced by credit cards, payment services, and (actually scalable) digital currency.

And yes, Bitcoin is, to almost all of it's holders, nothing more than a speculative investment. It requires $30 billion in hardware to process the transaction load of few busy shopping malls at Christmas. Bitcoin is not a threat to become anything else than what it already is, and there's no government or anything else stopping it. Bitcoin's limitations are technical, not caused by some Illuminati conspiracy.

The difference on CBDC and digital payments is very big. CBDCs will be issued by your central bank which will certainly come with mechanisms where they can check all of your transactions directly, collect your data and invade your privacy. They presently cannot do this directly because there are processes they need to follow before they can invade your privacy and collect hehehe. On CBDCs and knowing how the government behaves, we cannot be shocked if these CBDC payment platforms are designed to invade on everyone's privacy. It would be headshaking and very much stupid if everyone trusts the government for data protection and privacy protection hehehehe.

I am very much disappointed on mr. immunized Aaron on having a performance that was without the very much hyped Rodgers resurgence. I thought +4 would on the Jets will win against 49ers without McCaffrey hehehehe. This rookie Jordan Mason was a good replacement.

In any case, on the very important news on why I am presently posting here. Taylor Swift has officially endorsed Kamala Harris! Travis is very shocked and feeling very betrayed heheheh! He should officially endorse Trump to reclaim his manhood!

Ladies and gentlemen - meet the next president of Ireland
People in power will never allow McGregor to become a president of Ireland, and I am not sure people should trust him when everyone knows about his connection with Irish mafia.
And in case they allow him to win, that means he is just another controlled player of the system.
He was to scared to say the full truth about some things happening in last few years, and I remember him posting and than deleting posts on X.
His UFC carrier is going to be finished if he decides to go fully into politics.

I very much agree. President is a big ambition for Conor hehehe. He might win if he will run for mayor of Dublin, however. The Irish mafia can certainly help him on this.

@cabron. It also appears that Alalshikh is the sponsor of UFC 306 heheheheh. Did you hear what he said about Canelo's fight on September 14? He said we will eat him.

Turki Alalshikh is sponsoring the UFC 306 event on September 14th at the Sphere in Las Vegas, which will be held on the same night as Canelo Alvarez’s fight against Edgar Berlanga at the T-Mobile Arena. Canelo won’t be happy to hear Turki plans to sponsor the UFC 306 event, which would stymie his scheduled event on the same night.

Turki’s Bold Prediction: “We Will Eat Him” Turki told ESPN that his sponsored UFC 306 event on September 14th will “eat” Canelo’s fight card on the same night against Berlanga.

Dont think that people would be ready to buy both translations, and forcing them to buy PPV to watch Rosas, might work and make people not spending on Canelo fight. Dunno... Weird card.

You might have forgotten that the preliminary fights are not included in payperview heheh.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Harris campaign now accepts Bitcoin on: September 11, 2024, 02:40:11 AM

You are very much correct, however, what I was telling the mr. democrat legiteum is there is no evidence that can implicate the government that they are hacking directly on the people. However, because of these laws very much similar to what you have mentioned and these laws like the Patriot Act, the government are giving themselves the right to invade the people's privacy.

I am quite certain Harris cannot mention that she is against CBDC because this would certainly make the rulers from Wall Street and the banking industry very angry heheheh.

LOL, I am anything but "Mr. Democrat".

There are many millions of Republicans in the USA who oppose Trump:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Republicans_who_oppose_the_Donald_Trump_2024_presidential_campaign

The existing laws about banking in the US are absolutely nothing like... the Patriot Act. That doesn't even make sense.

Harris has not stated whether she is for a CBDC. Harris has also not mentioned her views on C++ versus C, either. Or which side of the toilet paper roll should face outward. I doubt she'll get into that when there are things that Americans actually care about to talk about.

And why would "the rulers from Wall Street" care about a CBDC anyhow? Wall Street is all-in on Bitcoin, and a CBDC wouldn't make any difference to Bitcoin anyhow. And there's essentially no constituency anywhere for a CBDC in the US left, right or center, so... it's not going to happen.

Heheheeheh it was joke. I am quite certain that you are not a democrat, however, it only appears that you are very angry when someone talks about Kamala hehehe.

In any case, on the Patriot act, banking and the people's privacy. This has a very big impact because the Patriot Act changes how bankers manage bank accounts. Banks are very much closely more monitored, data collection from the people are more strict and any transaction can be suspicious. The implementation of this act is dangerous and it can be certainly abused to invade a person's privacy.

On the bankers, the rulers from Wall Street and CBDC. Do you know how much of control over money will be given to your rulers if a CBDC is used by a country? Also, Wall Street is only all in bitcoin as a speculative investment heheheheh. Do you not understand this?
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Harris Vs Trump - Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election on: September 11, 2024, 02:00:10 AM
I am presently watching the debate of Trump vs. Harris on this channel live!

https://m.youtube.com/live/kRh6598RmHM?si=KPavDfy-iC_qG0R6

It appears that the Donald Trump is losing this. This is very much different from his debate against Hillary where he has done his research and has said many of the correct facts together with his exaggerations hehehe. On this debate, he does not have much facts, only exaggerations. I will not be shocked if Kamala's ratings in Polymarket will pump to 60% after this.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 10, 2024, 06:12:29 AM
UFC having a hard time competing the Canelo fight. Alalshikh is about to sabotage UFC, he is more of a boxing fan AFAIK.

I would very much agree if the Canelo's opponent is David Benavidez or if this is a superfight between Canelo and Bud Crawford. However, if you say this without considering Canelo's next opponent on saturday, this is very headshaking hehehehe.

On Alalshikh, I agree! He is a boxing fan who loves this sport very much. This might also be why there are speculations that uncle Dana's next project is a boxing promotion with Alalshikh. I reckon this project might also be with uncle Dana's original partners in the UFC heheeh.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: September 10, 2024, 05:38:50 AM
I dont want and like to turn into direct politics discussion, but from the moment it was decided to replace Joe Bined with Kamala Harris, I think it was clear that Trump is going to win this race. You cant just promote Biden all the time, and on the finish line replace him. Not an expert in US history, but I dont remember that a woman was ever a president of the US. Again a signal for Trump. I dont know if it is possible to cheat during election, but it is clear for me that it is going to be Trump. However, I am not going to bet on US or any president election. I dont want to "earn" or peoples future. Who know what Trump second presidentship would be. What if his first decree would be a war against everyone, and I have earned with winning bet selecting him. That is not for me.

It appeared to be very clear that Trump will win the presidential election on November after the assassination  attempt on him by someone's Manchurian Candidate. However, after Biden was replaced by Kamala, the ratings of Trump has lowered to 50%. I was a very headshaking change and it would not be shocking if this is a manipulation, trending tactic by the administration. They have and control the machinery to make something like this very much possible.

Trump is leading against Kamala with only 8% on Polymarket.

19  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Charts/Price Update by ImThour on: September 10, 2024, 05:11:26 AM
BTC Bull Flag - 1D Timeframe:

- BTC has been in a price range since March of this year. Q4 tends to be a stronger quarter for BTC price gains, so I’m hopeful we’ll see similar growth this year.

This formation of the bull flag is very much underestimated by many market observers, I reckon. They appear to be predicting that this will be broken this month, however, they might have forgotten that this bull flag has also formed because the liquidity is also gone once it dumps to the bottom of this formation. The traders who short sell on the bottom will certainly be losing on those trades hehehehe.

There is also the underestimated storyline of CZ's release from prison. I predict the pump will begin 1 week before CZ is released. Another positive storyline for bitcoin might be if Trump is victorious in the debate tomorrow against Kamala. If it increases his ratings in the polls and the surveys, this will certainly be good for the cryptospace.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Harris campaign now accepts Bitcoin on: September 10, 2024, 04:46:25 AM
Agreed that there is no evidence, however, the government always wants to inquire very much closely on the people and invade their privacy if they want this.

What are you talking about? How is there no evidence?
They wanted to make wallet providers ask users for KYC so they can assign wallets to IDs! This was a real legislative act they wanted to push through Congress.
How is that not an attempt to deprive people of privacy?

The Democrats see self hosted wallets as aiding tax evaders, money launderers, drug traffickers and other criminals. Republicans believe self custody preserves basic freedoms in a digital world.
Representative Sherman (Democrat) compared self hosted wallets to bearer bonds which were banned in the U.S. in the 1980s.
