Hi WCX team, Well, congratulations on everything you are doing and I wish you and all shareholders (including myself) huge success. As others have said, dimensioning a crypto currency platform to be capable of handling millions of transactions a second is a huge undertaking. I have questions on this. WCX will be trading BITCOIN, ETHERIUM and mostr other popular blockchain currencies. Now, BITCOIN has some serious dimensioning problems in its own right. The transaction history is never archived, so every BITCOIN gets bigger and bigger and slower and slower. The press have reported backlogs in BITCOIN transactions amounting to more than 165,000 transactions with no confirmation, and it is growing, not getting less! http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/05/12/bitcoin-network-backlog-grows-165000-unconfirmed-transactions/My question are these: when BITCOIN transactions are made on WCX, who will confirm the transaction and process the BITCOIN chain? Will this be done by the WCX platform itself, or will the BITCOIN that are traded by WCX just join the ever growing global queue (and growing backlog) to be processed by a distributed server somewhere else? And if WCX servers will be able to process the BITCOIN transactions directly, then is it possible that the WCX platform could also be used to process and reduce the global backlog? And if so, how will WCX earn money by doing the work of other traders for them? Thanks a lot, RobZorba WCX has its own trading engine through which all trades are processed. You can learn more about it in our whitepaper. Elaborating on this. Bitcoin transactions are confirmed by miners, and no exchange has the capability of processing or confirming any transaction. There is no distributed server that can confirm transactions either. There is no way any exchange platform can 'reduce the global backlog'. Deposits and withdrawals are handled by the bitcoin network, and confirmed by miners. Trades are handled internally on the platform by the trading engine. |

c. The website informs that "20% Profits" would be distributed amongst the token holders .
Assuming if 1 Mil is the profit at the time the token holders are 100k and assuming the token holders increase from 100k to 500k in 5 years .then the 20% would be every decreasing (assuming the profits are not increasing at the rate the token holders are ). The policy is not equivalent of holding a finite number of shares in a limited liability company. Nor does it mimic the bond bearer instrument. (am confused)

wcxofficial says earlier in this thread that the tokens sold in the ICO are the total amount ever (no later token/coin sales). So it shouldn't go from 100k to 500k tokens/token holders...it should just be the number of tokens sold during the ICO (all excess will be burnt, they say). This is correct. Why do I can not sign up with @outlook type mail???

There is a network to be overloaded, it is the network that the server runs on, essentially bots will spam a large amount of tiny transactions, which requires a separate POST call for each transaction, many bots doing that at the same time will essentially cause an unintentional DDOS attack on the server's network, so it would be in their best interest to somehow limit the number of transactions these bots can perform in a certain time period, of course this limit should be relative to the number of people and bots who use the website at a single time, and the capacity that the server can support
Rest assured that our system can handle it  . We can do guaranteed a minimum of a million transactions per second, and our infrastructure allows us to easily scale the system to support additional demand if needed. Thanks for this project. ANXPRO charges trading fees as low as 0.05%, and we don't charge any transaction fees to trade bitcoins.
None. I used to work for ANX a few years ago, but there is no affiliation between WCX and ANX. From where i can check who excatly are in WCX dev team? Or are you planning to be anonymous?

The project is very interesting. I'm afraid of very small commission. The commission is significantly lower of other exchanges. It could trigger arrival on the Exchange many bots. Sir, how will you deal with bot?
Um why you against bots? the exchange would make money on every single trade regardless of if it was human or bot traded, in my opinion the more bots the merrier Low fees generates a lot of small spam transactions. There is no sense in commission, if you can't sell or buy the right amount. And spam transactions will be hard to overload network. There are several ways around it, for instance you could put a cap on the number of transactions under $5.00 USD value per 24 hour period per account, make the minimum transaction amount $2.00,or more if need be. People are clever and they will always find a way around the rules, so instead of fighting them it is best to try to cooperate with them, and allow bots with conditions if the network can not support the number of transactions happening at a time. Otherwise the exchange will just get stuck in a never ending game of cat and mouse trying to chase away bot users. Not sure what you guys mean. There is no 'network' to be overloaded - WCX is not a decentralized exchange and trades are not made on-chain. Bots will also have to pay our commision like everybody else. |

WCT will be available to trade after the ICO ends (likely within 7 days). Is WCEX going to create coins after the ICO? Tokens for sale during ICO and then any remainders burnt....but is WCEX then going to create coins?
If so, will they act as tokens (and if so, wouldn't that lower the dividend value?)
No WCT will ever be created after the ICO. Unsold coins at the ICO are burned and whatever is left will be the total supply of WCT. Do you mean WCX? No. This is not a decentralized exchange. Users will be able to trade anonymously, but the exchange itself is not decentralized. Wallet decentralization is on our roadmap though. |

I believe they are now recommending the use of ElectrumX over the normal Electrum Server. Is there a reason you aren't using ElectrumX?
Basically because I spent like three days configuring the normal electrum server to work properly, and I don't want to go through all that again for ElectrumX. Have you tried downloading the UTXO database instead of generating it from scratch? Electrum maintains a daily version here: http://foundry.electrum.org/leveldb-dump Yep, but I still have some blocks to catch up since I'm only on a 30mb down connection. I just wanted to know if there is some other way, like tweaking settings or something. |

Hey guys, a complete noob to linux here. I've managed to get bitcoind up and synced, and I'm trying to configure an electrum server using the standard method (not ElectrumX).
Problem is, its taking ages to sync up. I've tried changing the cache sizes to 12GB (I have 16GB ram) but it just goes even slower. Any ideas?
Running off an old i3 3250, 16GB ram and a 1TB hard drive.
