you have to prevent staking while you syncing the blockchain or just use an empty wallet.dat first, then switch to your real wallet after its synced.  use a reserve balance and disable it when you want to stake is the simple to way to avoid a rush of orphans and slowdown while wallet is still downloading blockchain.

add the nodes from cryptoid to your conf, restart the wallet.  with CBX I find its a good idea to make a backup of your blockchain folder every month if you are running a node for it, and then can copied that back in if a resync is needed.

CBX is on also on Crypto-Trade.net which has ANY-ANY and FIAT pairings.  I have not used this exchange (sites with this name really have bad history for me now   ) but it exists and has CBX on it

The situation with the Chinese based exchanges, BLK has proved itself as reliable way out of some exchanges that have locked out users from their BTC and LTC.  If you stuck in an exchange that also has BLK, try converting your BTC or LTC to it and then withdraw to an exchange like Cryptopia or Tux

Considering exchanges are playing dumb right now with regards to the intent of the Chinese government directives and only blocking BTC and LTC, it might be wise to take advantage ASAP of any reliable altcoins like Blackcoin to get something out before its all locked down.

It seems obvious here that you got scammed by someone who has found your thread and because your email is publicly displayed, they were able to scam you by emailing with a fake Polo email.
don't underestimate the lowlifes that lurk on here looking to scam newbies. unfortunately these scammers are everywhere and will seize any opportunity they can to steal bitcoins from people. 

needs to be a snapshot and full release of information on the various scams and their issuers that originated here.  apparently even Paul Vernon (or Bitjohn or some ex top level Cryptsy staff with access) was able to release and dump more CRYPTSY shares a few months ago, this should not have been possible  

Cryptsy coins are less of an issue then the HUGE question mark that still hangs over what will happen to the CBX foundation coins that were used in the SPK ICO.  
One third of the SPK ICO contains coins that came from CBX foundation wallets and can be tracked from here down (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cbx/wallet.dws?125039.htm) to the SPK ICO

No explanation has yet been provided as to how this will be addressed now that Vonspass has said he cannot integrate CBX into his new coin project.  If CBX is not going to be a part of SPK then those CBX need to returned for CBX development.  60,000 CBX is alot of coins, and with such a large amount it can only be expected that this donation to the SPK project would development CBX further. :\

So what is going to happen to those 60,000 CBX taken from CBX foundation wallet?  If SPK has no CBX related developments or benefits as Vonspass has said, why have they not been returned so they can repurposed for CBX developments?

any block explorers?  website has not been updated for years and full of outdated information, dead exchanges, block explorers etc

why is the premine not shown on the block explorer? If this was a coinswap from another coin (JBS), how come the available supply is not higher? and will there be a PoS component like JBS?

Would really like to see UTC on there as its a really nice exchange and crypto site.  They have marketplace for selling stuff and can be priced in any altcoin

Bleu feels abandoned, and i read alot of reports that the support no longer even responds.  Its been said they have new owners but never seen anything official about this.

They do not reject coins because of premine anymore. and unlike bittrex mafia they do not extort and delist coins based on trade volume, only scams and broken blockchains/code are at risk of being delisted from there. Would be the best exchange a coin could be added on imho.

ETH was there but was removed because of their consensus breaking hardfork of their blockchain to bail out DAO investors, then they added ETC in its place. (This is what was supposed to happen on exchanges, ETH hardfork was rejected and then forced by its developers)

Who is the company and what were you trying to do with them?

POS 3 is already here and lots of coins have benefited from the BLK teams original dev work. Recent example is QTUM using POS 3 (might be of interest to BLK devs as they have mashed together PoS3.0, Bitcoin 0.13, & EVM - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1720632.0)

Sad that there are so many big successful ICOs/crowdfunds now that have benefited from Blackcoin yet don't give anything back to the coin that made it possible for them

Did you delete everything that was in there first? (xcept wallet.dat & .conf)   Add "txindex=1" to .conf? 

It works perfectly for me so I don't know what error you are getting or why, but try the above, i left my .conf out but i can take a look later and see if i had any other options in there that might affect it or post a copy here.

Have they not disrespected insulted the devs and blake coins community for long enough?   

Is it not time now to stop rewarding Bittrex for their behaviour and instead throw more support behind the other exchanges like Cryptopia that actually have a policy to not delist coins based on trade volume? 

Look at Cryptopia, they are now supporting almost the entire family of Blake coins, and no weekly threats from the owners of delistment due to lack of volume (its actually their policy to not delist based on trade volume)
How many Blake coins are on Bittrex? there are BLC, UMO, PHO & LIT and the 7 base markets they are paired to on Cryptopia. Thats a total of 28 markets on Cryptopia for the blake coins vs 1 on bittrex. 
So why continue  people to keep throwing money at these exchanges like bittrex.   PHO even has a BTC market which was never available on Atomic, it was trapped in a LTC pairing there.

Its time to move away from there, bittrex time is over.  its not helping a coin to continue with paying them imho.  The best way to send a message to these exchanges that employ these tactics is to stop paying them, move the volume to an exchange that is not set on exploiting a community.  , and let the blake devs keep more of their money, so they can eat better and less time, energy and money wasted to stay listed on a dying exchange like bittrex.  Why do they matter? - when the Blake coins take off those greedy buggers will add it back

These are synced upto 16 Jan 2017 or block 1773967. 
Once unpacked/bootstrap it will continue and sync the remaining blocks that been created since then.
