a new thread, this is great.  NTRN is one of the better altcoins with MNs with the "just right" specifications Smiley

IGNORE any posts from CraveIt  - he is a troll and is desperately spreading FUD to drive the price down.  Best to add this user to ignore permanently

342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NTRN] Neutron - New Nucleus wallets released! - Next developments soon! on: July 14, 2015, 03:45:05 PM
I wonder what's wrong with the other block explorer then...
Also the rich list is completely wrong then...

Regards

Goldmaxx

The block explorer is broken and buggy, its mixed in another altcoins addresses these are the ones that start with 'N'.   Neutron address starts with 9
'N' these do not belong to Neutron and no record of them on blockchain.

Remove the N addresses from that list and you will have only the neutron addresses. Owner of that BE has somehow corrupted DB with another altcoins ledger.  Its also impossible to pull any tx history for those addresses, while the neutron addresses are fine.

I will send him a PM...Thank you!

and the altcoin that is causing the problems is this one DEM DEUTSCHE EMARK http://crypto2.net/dem/wealthiest.php
see the same addresses Wink

- out of the 100 addresses in richlist only 28 belong to Neutron, the rest is info taken from some other altcoin

Can someone tell me how many NTRN are out there ATM?
The Blockview block explorer says 4.656.562
The GCpool block explores says 21.783.446 (!!!)

Both block explorers show about 94.190 blocks

Any idea what's wrong?

Any good news or just bad news? This coin is becoming ridiculously cheap.

You think 900 is cheap for a broken coin?? please buy into my sell orders if you think so  Kiss

coin is not broken please dont exaggerate, enforcement is undesirable in the early stages of a MN coin as it would risk the blockchain stalling from lack of masternodes/excessive orphans, this is why crave and dash turned it on in later in the life cycle of those coins.  whether neutron is at the stage where there are enough nodes/stakers to warrant enabling it is up for the devs/community to decide.  If they want enforcement turned on then it a simple update from latest dash or crave source, you are likely more then aware of this fact and are seeking to drive price down for cheaper coins.
Neutron is currently the most stable PoS/MN coin to be found after crave.
In future update when enforcement is turned on those that is still bypassing MNs will only get orphan blocks and lose out, so the cheap sell offs is allowing more masternodes amounts to be created cheap before enforcement ends the days of free staking -  so maybe enjoy it while it lasts Wink
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CAPT] CAPTcoin - Best distribution! - Best API! on: July 09, 2015, 08:40:06 AM
my client is out of synch for couple months worth of blockchain
and when I re-synching, I'm getting this message:
Quote
WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers.
eventhough I notice there's small data transfer
but current/best block on my client is not advancing at all
what should I do now to force resynch properly?

Most probably you will need to re-sync the blockchain. Close the wallet and go to the folder %appdata%/CAPTcoin. Delete blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat (make sure you don't delete wallet.dat) and open the wallet again. To sync faster you can download the file bootstrap.dat. Read this: https://ecua.mobi/how-to-create-bootstrap-dat/

Actually my client managed to synch a few hundreds blocks everytime I restarted it.
I checked the logfile and it seems able to download about 500-1000 blocks (continuing my best chain)
before it gets flooded/overwhelmed by the new most recent blocks data sent in by other peers
and this is the part that slowing down my synching and wasting my bandwidth
last run wasted 80mb just to advance 1500 blocks,
looking at the logfile most of the blocks received are unneeded blocks (yet) for my chain

is there a way to somehow just download exclusively my needed blocks first,
before involuntarily accepting any other recent blocks sent by other peers?

remove/comment out addnodes in conf and add a connect=<node ip here> to download only from that node.

dont expect too much a speed boost, i sync capt once a week and it is ridiculously slow.  hoping the dev will consider making hard fork to space out the blocks with increase block time.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GlobalBoostŪ BST - A CryptoCurrency To Help Wounded Veterans on: June 29, 2015, 07:43:02 AM
GlobalBoost is losing one of its remaining exchanges and blockchain is dead "Last block for BST wallet has been seen 5 days ago. All operations for BST disabled untill new block will be found."
https://comkort.com/cryptocurrency/globalboost

what sort of attitude is this? Devs dont appear to care about either the veterans or supporting their coin after they pump and dumped? Angry
where is the accounting of the $100M USD that was promised to goto charity?  Who are the wounded veterans that have been helped to date apart from the dev?

348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CAPT] CAPTcoin - Best distribution! - Best API! on: June 29, 2015, 05:33:33 AM
The big problem from this coin for me is the sync of wallet...why it is to long to my capt wallet to sync...now i left about 263000 blocks to sync it is a big problem...can anyone help me

I am having the same problem
Who is staking so much blocks Huh
Create new coin and maybe diffrent stake specs. premine it. and offer 1:1 to change with entering captcha Grin

its because the block time is 30secs which is TOO FAST.
CAPT block time needs to be changed so as to be 4 or 5x slower eg 2 or 3 mins.  this will help reduce further blockchain bloat, and speed up the sync after the change.

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NTRN] Neutron - New Nucleus wallets released! - Next developments soon! on: June 28, 2015, 08:41:14 PM
9pRj6xxcpsvP2mF5D1oynVuEpXRHsNUTsr is the most recent one
9gtbKMhhtdRY8WYHvPazwgkuxPg7kitU5R is the first one that stopped connected (so created the above one instead)

9gtbKMhhtdRY8WYHvPazwgkuxPg7kitU5R This is address staked and does not have a 25000 input anymore so will not work as an MN.  You can see in block explorer it is the first thing that happened after you sent 25000 to it, so it never would have worked as MN.  important to disable staking or set reserve balance 9999999 so nothing is staked.  25K input will stake very fast (within a day), so if you want keep MN functioning staking should be disabled so it doesnt interfere and disable the MN.

9pRj6xxcpsvP2mF5D1oynVuEpXRHsNUTsr is a pefectly working MN from what i can see on block explorer, you are getting paid for it.
I can see it in the masternode list
http://neutron.blockview.space/address/9pRj6xxcpsvP2mF5D1oynVuEpXRHsNUTsr

but it seems you are confused about what you get a block, MN payment is always ~25coins, you will never get more than that. the number you see in wallet is the value of all the transactions that were in that block, not what you get paid. eg if someone send 10,000 coins, someone stakes 2000 coins, you would see ~12038coins, and if you look in the details or on block explorer it will show your MN getting 25coins. If you restart walletqt the displayed amount on those mined blocks will correct to show only the MN payout ~25coins.  Its confusing and maybe a visual bug to be fixed by dev, but you are getting everything, nothing is lost or missing Smiley
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NTRN] Neutron - New Nucleus wallets released! - Next developments soon! on: June 28, 2015, 02:22:49 PM
So...i have a masternode...and my transactions show I'm getting payments...but I don't really get those payments?

I'm sorry, whats the point of MN then? I should have made a couple thousand coins by now, yet they're nowhere to be found. Someone enlighten me, please.

You are getting payments for masternode. You have not set up MN correctly and probably staking only.   25000 exact to MN address and disable staking in wallet used for Masternode.  If your staking then you will get less then with masternodes.  I'm have been getting ~1000 daily from MN, but it decreases as more MNs come online.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NTRN] Neutron - New Nucleus wallets released! - Next developments soon! on: June 28, 2015, 05:06:39 AM
probably i didn't explain clear enough.
1) i don't have a masternode, nevertheless some of my tx add full 38 coins to balance, not 1/3 (13), or 2/3,
(which probably means some masternode out there gets nothin of that tx)
2) wallet's tx list shows all of them as 38, despite some actually give 13 and some 38 coins, which is simply misguiding

examples

this one goes as you described, 25.3940676 for MN and the rest for me:
http://neutron.blockview.space/tx/27759a9a5976300d862f5397bb426b24c111a1f832abe297ae222402d18c17de

and this one is all mine:

masternodes, u-huh  Roll Eyes

https://dashtalk.org/threads/masternode-payment-question-not-all-blocks-have-mn-payment.3759/

Safer to not have it enforced for now.  Maybe the dev will update using latest dash code in future when there are more MNs. PoS coins with MNs - 007, 8BIT, CRAVE, SLING, NANAS, SKB, SHELL etc are all 6 months behind the latest DASH, and are probably waiting for original PoS coin with MN (sling? crave?) to do the work needed before they clone it.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NTRN] Neutron - New Nucleus wallets released! - Next developments soon! on: June 28, 2015, 02:52:17 AM
i guess we'r all missing smth....
in my wallet all staking transactions show ~38 coins per tx,
which is sheer crap, actually most of them add ~13 to balance, and some ~38, without masternode

What are you missing?
1 block is worth ~38 coins.  2/3 goes to masternode = ~25coins, 1/3 goes to the staking address = ~13coins.

If you thought you had a masternode and only have a series of 13 coin rewards then you already staked your masternode input and invalidates it as a MN input.  to get back MN regroup and send 25000 exact in one input to a new MN address.

353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 1 BTC, how will you make it to 1.1 BTC in the best way? 10$ Prize on: June 25, 2015, 02:47:07 PM
The simplest way is to run a 3 day raffle with a prize of 1 BTC to the winner.  Sell 1000 numbered tickets/entries @ 0.0021 BTC each.  Use a trusted escrow for the prize and provably fair method of picking the winning number, winner gets 1BTC and you get your 1.1 BTC from the ticket sales  Cheesy

354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: June 23, 2015, 01:31:16 AM

DONT USE COINS-E

they are a scam exchange.  Their support email addresses bounce, site is barely functional and I still have not gotten back the carboncoin from months ago that i mentioned here previously.  Angry
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: June 19, 2015, 12:45:28 AM
We are moving up..... Now is the time to buy cheap....last chance...soon we will actually be back on track....Very few coins. Read the op.....We have masternodes, anon, and a low price for now. On many exchanges too.

if you are buying 8bit for a MN then DONT buy on cryptsy as their wallet is not working properly.  i was lucky i only bought a small amount so its not much to lose.
After confirming it gave a txid, but this cannot be found on 8 bit blockchain and coins are either stuck or lost.    It could be a problem with cryptsy or the 8bit wallet itself is broken.  the logfile still show every block received is an orphan, and has misbehaving peers errors that ips get repeatedly banned.  Syncing the wallet is incredibly slow because of these errors on 8bit network. :\

over a week now and 3 replies later from support they are working on a technical error that has occurred with this coin and still no 8BIT refunded or received.  Cryptsy has now put 8BIT in maintenance.

356  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM **COINS-e.com***SCAM list of unhappy customers on: June 15, 2015, 12:07:51 PM
My issue was resolved... after many phone calls, twitter messages, one support ticket, facebook messages and posts, and forum posts. I suggest anyone that has a problem to email saif@coins-e.com ... It seems he is in charge and has the ability to make financial transactions within the company. For what it's worth, he was very nice on the phone and emphasized he was working on improving customer support. More FWIW... it seems this site is not a scam site, but is just somewhat mismanaged and under staffed.

I will remove my prior posts/tweets/facebook posts as promised.

Thank you coins-e.com for clearing this up.

Sooo...this is the guy that stole my Litecoins Angry

Could you explain a little on that?  Is CoinHoarder involved in coins-e?  Huh

Considering this is a 100% PoS coin, if there are for example 150 masternodes and someone owns 100 masternodes, what currently prevents them from double spending or doing something malicious when they control over 50% of the MNs?

359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: June 12, 2015, 07:58:14 AM
is this coin broken in some way or was there a fork? its impossible to sync blockchain.  all masternodes keep getting banned and have the error "dsee - Got mismatched pubkey and vin" "Misbehaving: 9X.X26.X6.X5:9999 (13300 -> 13400)", after 1 hour every peer is banned and sync of blockchain stops.
log is also full of orphan errors and the coins are going missing trying to deposit or withdraw to exchanges  Huh

Why is it so difficult to sync the 8bit blockchain?

I'm using the the wallet posted in the OP, is it the latest and correct version to use?  There seems to be a mix of different versions on the network as well.  Undecided

You are doing something wrong. My masternodes are still spinning like a charm.

I'm not trying to run a masternode, just trying to sync the blockchain with the latest walletqt.  the errors in the logfile from trying to sync show these errors of mastenodes on the network, and stream of orphans and reorganising.

its getting ridiculous, 6 hours and its only synced 16 megabytes of the blockchain while its wasted nearly 1 Gigabyte in traffic in back and forth between the peers.  Undecided
