Meanwhile BTC is literaly exploding -above $2,000. within hours-. Get ready for NXT (and ARDR, along with the ret of alts) to tumble further. Significantly

Nxt has a little troll now, a good sign it is doing something well Smiley

Really? A legendary member with hundreds of posts on this thread is a "now"? Wow. But, paraphrasing yourself, to each his own. Love the argument about the facts stated, though.

Yes, now. It was quiet here in 2015-2016. Now that Nxt is doing better, there is this little trolling happening. Keep it up! Wink

Not too much for credibility but hey... As for NXT "doing better"... well, considering that even that proven scam (Bobsurplus even bailed out when caught) named BAY has gone x10 -along with every other worthless project- in the last few months, NXT is doing only relatively "better". Hopefully, for those of us that hope to benefit greatly from the scheme by these developers, the money that is pouring practically indiscriminately across the boards onto every coin project, will continue or, at least, won't run after being taken. We will see.

Stating facts, such as the ones stated above, can be called "little trolling" only if one has not very legitimate interest in keeping them unaddressed. But, like I said, the scheme is working, so let's benefit all.
But in knowledge, not chosen ignorance -or blatant deceit- of what really is going on.

Bottom line.
Withdraw ARDR assets and NXT coins from exchanges to your own wallet and sleep well.

Really? And watch how it goes up or down 20-25% -or more- some days? I don't think that's quite realistic...

I do it all the time, no problem Smiley

What is realistic, emotional trading and getting goxxed from time to time? Well, to each his own, I guess.

I'll take your word for it (no choice). But a lot of people will, and indeed do, trade it rather. Myself included.

NXT > ardor > ignis all getting tangled in blockchain.   Grin

Well, it's ... complicated. By design. It is, in fact, one and the same the whole thing. It is "splitted" with the only purpose of generating more money -and very successfully so far-. NXT will become (slowly) obsolete -and in fact not developed after a while-, once ARDOR is implemented. ARDOR will be the new name of NXT. IGNIS is the first by-product of the new NXT (ARDOR), designed, again, with the sole purpose of being sold to corporations for profit. As the first of such by-products (called technically "child chains"), the developers will give 50% of ownership of IGNIS to those who still own NXT -they need to keep the number as high as possible in order to secure the network- at the specific time of the snapshot. After that the existence of NXT will start slowly fading away completely. The whole shebang is that subsequent "child chains" will be the sole property of the developers of NXT -or, more properly, of the centralized, private, company they have created to such purpose-. The ONLY "benefit" ARDOR holders (NXT ones will have none) will have is whatever is derived from the potential fact that the buyers of such childchains, including IGNIS, will have to pay for them in ARDOR, supposedly by doing that creating more demand for ARDOR.

That, of course, is if you believe what the developers tell you. They are not bound by anything but their words, so they could freely sell the child chains for BTC or any other instrument of exchange.

Hello!

What I do not understand:

Ardor was sent when I had nxt on exchange automatically.

I thougt nxt was done then.

And now You have to keep nxt how long to get next round ardor or is there no next reund of dropping ardor?

You got Ardor.

Now holding NXT you can also get Ignis in Q3 2017, when the one time snapshot happens.
There are two caveats:
- the exact date of the snapshot is not known yet, some time in Q3,
- there is no agreement with exchanges yet to distribute Ignis, to be safe withdraw NXT from exchanges and store in your own wallet, then you'll be sure to get Ignis.
Withdraw Ardor token to your own wallet too, this is how you will get the Ardor token in the Ardor platform. If not, exchanges will get your Ardor.

This is a bit confusing: What does Ardor have to do with the IGNIS distribution? I thought it was limited to NXT at the snapshot time...

It doesn't.

To clarify: if you have ARDR assets at a centralized exchange now, Ardor tokens will be given to that exchange in the new Ardor platform as well, because NXT accounts and Ardor accounts will be opened with the same passphrase. Exchanges have the private key to the ARDR assets that you keep with them and hence -> to Ardor tokens in the future Ardor platform. Since there is no agreement at present with exchanges on what they will do with all that treasure, it's a big risk to leave the ARDR assets and NXT coins with them.

Bottom line.
Withdraw ARDR assets and NXT coins from exchanges to your own wallet and sleep well.

Really? And watch how it goes up or down 20-25% -or more- some days? I don't think that's quite realistic...
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: THE OFFICIAL ARAGON (ANT) CROWDSALE AND PROJECT THREAD on: May 08, 2017, 03:42:09 PM
On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a dog. This has been extremely beneficial for the development of communities around the world, and crypto is perhaps one of the most remarkable examples.
But who doesn’t like to have a beer with people that share common interests? It’s part of our human nature!
So aside from being on Slack all day and night, we’ve organized a series of meetups for Ethereum & Aragon enthusiasts to get together to talk about exciting projects and have a few drinks!
We had our first meetup this Monday in the beautiful town of Zug and had the pleasure to present and have a relaxed discussion with some projects we’re huge fans of, AKASHA and Status.
The meetup was an enormous success! We even had a wait-list for attendance. If interested, Mihai from AKASHA recorded so those that couldn’t make it in person can watch it on our blog

Upcoming Meetups
We have some additional meetups happening in the near future:
Madrid: May 8 — thanks to Jorge Vallet (who’s been doing Ethereum meetups since ’14) for organizing it!
New York: TBD but likely May 24
Berlin: June 9 — thanks to our friends at BlueYard (especially Philip) for making it happen!
Barcelona: TBD but likely the first week of June

Anything in Los Angeles?

Trust me if don't own Coval at these levels you are going to be piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiised next year.

Just some friendly advice so I can say told you so later.

Not that I don't trust you... or your friendly advice... It's just that this is a piece of shit with ZERO chances of being even remotely successful. ZERO.

Anything new?

How many developers are currently working on the project?

You cannot possibly be THAT dumb...

With all the good developers supporting NXT platform, one thing and the most important thing they have being getting wrong is the marketing side of their platform, why in the world would the price of Ardor launched less than a month be close to 1000sat. I think the price is ridiculous and they need to truly protect investors add value to this platform, what makes Ethereum and Even Maidsafe (has been relying on Potential even before Bitcoin) more valuable that NXT and Ardor?

I've always said that. It's like the focus is on the NXT website, where people who are already into NXT reside. There should be more activity and promotion here on Bitcoin talk. Though I do understand that NXT is the original Bitcoin 2.0, that didn't start out with a massive ICO.

So many real arguments to signify the differences with ethereum and maidsafe it would be ridiculous -on top of an absurd waste of time-, to list them... as for the "value", "potential" and promotion (lacking, according to you), well, reality is that nxt/ardr have no real value whatsoever and promotion is being done rather abundantly (and some times in mainstream media, which is rare). So what are we left with? "Potential". And the potential are some chimeric "child chains" that are supposed to start appearing a year from now at the earliest.... BUT -and here is the kicker-, other than 50% of Ignis, the first chimeric child chain, holders of nxt/ardr will be left with NOTHING, regardless the success of those chimeric, potential child chains, sin e all profits will go directly to the devs who, to that effect, have already established a centralized, private, for-profit corporation. Again: no benefits whatsoever to holdes of nxt/ardr. Furthermore, any and all perceived benefits from that 50% of Ignis, can be obtained by buying nxt at the time the devs will be liwuidating their holdings to qualify (the buyers) for the one time snapshot previous to the distribution of Ignis. Why will anyone buy either nxt or ardr now? No reason whatsoever. So they arent. Nothing to do with lack of promotion at all.

But, most of all, ardr was conceived as an scheme to hide another ico that will allow the devs to reap very nice cash from the sale of their huge, free, chest of the ardr they gave themselves. And it worked beautifully (chapeau!) for them: price remains, still at these levels more than4 TIMES HIGHER THAN WHERE IT WAS before the announcement scheme. So question yourselves who continues to do the dumping even at these "bitter" prices that are more than 4 times higher than they were only 3-4 months ago and had been at that level for many, many months. Beginning to get the REAL picture, separated from your wishful thinking? That would be a good start...

just start my bag of ardor Grin

Me too. I believe it is an excellent price for the purchase, in view of all the news of this crypto.

Getting excellent-er by the minute. Congrats for such keen  momentum choosing and continue loading that bag. Oportunities galore just ahead!

just start my bag of ardor Grin

As long as you know it, you won't be disappointed. Because you are going to hold that bag for a loooong time.

Value of this entire project: A big, fat, ZERO
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: October 25, 2016, 09:37:39 PM
Still holding my nxt I have never seen a wallet like this before. It seems nxt has had features that most devs on other projects claim are new but been here all along. People crying doom now but maybe good news coming.
Any big projects coming before ardor launches?

Haha, and this wallet is almost 2 years old.  Cheesy
Nxt never got the attention they deserve. Nxt is lightyears ahead of the competition.

It really is and once people wake up it may be too late because price and tokens will be under the peoples control by then. The glory of early adoption I guess Smiley

No, there are no more projects "coming" ... except the certainty that the devs will stop supporting it after one year, more or less, from the Ardor launch. So you have a big, fat NOTHING there.

Do you need another NOTHING, also big and fat? ARDOR. except for the very dubious profits of Ignis, of which you, holders, will receive 50%, IF devs keep their word, ANY AND ALL profits from the project will go to the private, centralized, for-profit company the devs just established. ANY AND ALL. So, only if you "forge" you will be receiving some crumbs for helping mantaining the network...

I believe the market is quickly realizing what the sum of ZERO plus ZERO is. More to come, keep on watching.

You should do a search right here, in bitcointalk.

This accumulation that is going on right now tells me a big pump is gestating. Are you here Bob? The pump would take this crap into the thousands. If I am right, you could make quite a bit of dough... as long as you get out and not left holding the bag.

The accumulation period should last a few days/weeks, done discreetly and the pump timed with some bogus announcement.

Text book procedure.

Says legendary pump and dumper. Anyway accumulation has already been going on for weeks now. People who accumulate dont always want to pump and dump like you might, some might just want the price the rise steadily as the project deserves. I believe it's called investing.

This is why developers avoid this forum and I can't really blame them.

Stupidity really knows no boundaries... for those who may think this idiot knows anithing about anything, I have never ever recommended to buy any altcoin. Ever. None. One exception: bitcoin itself. For those investing -for real, not like this idiot-, i believe bitcoing can produce significant gains... if willing to settle for 15-25% at a time or, may be just holding for years. I believe chances are good for it to go higher with limited downside risk at these levels. The rest of altcoins are two kinds: pure speculation vaporware and straight out scams (with plenty of hybrids of both about). It is up to you to decide to which of those groups this piece of crap belongs.

That said and on PURE SPECULATION I believe Bob surplus and his soldiers have entered an agreement with mr. Code to pump this crap and they are -and have been- accumulating slowly for a couple of weeks. They will pump it hard and then dump it to below 100. Do with this quite experienced and educated opinion what you will...

And, please, learn to identify the idiots fast. Like the one quoted. They will cost you money if you dont.
