@ delong

Got your kicks already? Fine. As long as you are happy, I am happy.

It may give you some clarity, perhaps, if I quote JFK quoting (apparently incorrectly --it's all in Google...) Edmund Burke:

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

I know you would not understand the relationship with the matters at hand, but there's one, profound, direct one... strange as it may seem to you.

In the unforgettable words of Dirty Harry, "A man's got to know his limitations".
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin (XPY) is scam on: February 05, 2015, 10:29:21 PM

Amazing... As soon as I read the article yesterday about Josh getting ready to step down and then this article that the whole company is going into FUBAR mode, it's clear to anyone what is about to happen next. I dumped all my XPY this morning, sadly just under $1, hoping for that $20 Honors program is a mistake, it's not going to happen. I have a feeling that XPY is going to be a penny-coin here in short order.  Thanks for the link!

You seem to have acted as sharply as usual. But if you feel good about it, I'm very happy for you...

Next time if you give us the heads up just before you pull the trigger, we can benefit knowing, for sure, that's time to buy.

And just like clockwork, trading at 20% above where you sold... ain't that uncanny? actually make that 30%...

1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | ViorNumber | Cheap International Calls on: February 05, 2015, 10:22:42 PM
Is it perhaps time to consider a non-censored thread instead of the usual kiss of death one? I would strongly recommend it...

By the way, staking the coin is, at this point, quite profitable. Perhaps current holders should try rather than dumping in panic? Just a thought...
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SLR] SolarCoin | PoW to PoS v. 2.0 | Solar Proof of Generation (§1 = 1MWh) on: February 05, 2015, 10:15:31 PM
You guys are making this so incredibly and unnecessary complicated that it is ultimately, sadly, quite off-putting. No one, no one sane, let alone even slightly interested in understanding what SolarCoin is and wants to achieve, would even remotely attempt to go through the incredible amount of blabber  posted just in this last page. What a pity.

If you can't make your pitchs in 15 seconds or less, you don't have anything worth pitching.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: February 05, 2015, 09:53:01 PM
Hey jyap,

People are quiet wondering what is happening with NAUT ?
We know that you have started working on it, but what is it?
Is BK still with NAUT? Thanks.

Yes, BK just retweeted me and we are in communication.  So yes.

https://twitter.com/jyap/status/563428884234780672

But you guys enjoy spreading FUD. So whatever.

BTW, he wrote a book about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. More words than any of you guys can string together.

Nicely done - thank you for the update and for answering the FUDsters in the way they deserve to be answered!  Glad you are onboard and active on NAUT.  Cheers...

Why keep you mentioning me when responding to someone else? I have nothing whatsoever to do with that butthurt idiot that started the censored thread and sold 5 minutes before it doubled in price, which is simply fitting to his level of idiocy and kind of poetic in some way. I never, ever spread FUD, shocking as you may find it. Yes I speculate in scenarios, all more reasoned than you will ever be able to articulate anything. Most of the times, those scenarios fit reality and are fully demonstrated eventually. Like it has happened with NAUT... or what, now that it has gone to 9000 we are supposed to forget that since it was above 12k (and down heavily from high teens and 20s), BK hasn't bothered to even give an update on his intentions, done anything to try to protect those who invested in his piece of shit? What he has NOT done is censurable, no matter what side of the coin you are in. Any decent person would come forward and admit that the "stability fund" is a total failure and has been abandoned. He KNOWS this is FORCED BY LAW in the world he lives in, and yet hes behaves like the worst anonymous scammer, hiding from criticism and facts for months on end. It is inadmissible, reprehensible and shows what kind of despicable individual he is.

And all of those are FACTS, no matter how much you want to lick his ass, ok? not FUD. Got it boy?
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New ZiftrCOIN Presale Launched! on: February 05, 2015, 07:03:13 AM
Shitcoin scams just never end

Filed yet another sec complaint

The chamber also seems to support ziftr, scum are everywhere
Ziftr gives users a guaranteed $1 value up to $5 when buying a item from their marketplace. nothing like paycoins $20 promise.

It's not nearly so blatant, true. Some of the red flags with ziftr are outlined here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=894605.80

Looking at their page (http://www.ziftr.com/) makes me even more wary.

Quote
Over $348,705,036 saved, and we're just getting started.

Quote
Ziftr users save an average of $24.57 per order. Per order!

If the savings average $24.57 per order, and total $348,705,036, then we can calculate that there were just over fourteen million orders. But they launched less than two months ago. Their Chrome browser plug-in has 4,237 users and a total of 63 reviews.

It could be legit. Even if it is, to me it just doesn't make sense. I don't see consumers being sufficiently attracted by the small discounts to make it a success.

And, amazingly, people keep on falling for them like flies.

This one is just a scheme to promote their business. Except for those big pocket local investors that surely, as their customer's mandate is, will dump to coins as soon as it becomes adequately profitable.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - MODERATED on: February 04, 2015, 11:06:14 PM
Is Halinyo another Barrabas sock?

I don't know but I love the hard work they have put into knocking the NAUT price in the dirt.  Wink

Barrabas only has socks in the drawers. And no interest whatsoever in "knocking" the price of NAUT ... Kelly, Yap and other inept individuals have done and admirable job of that. I just pointed out the obvious perhaps earlier than others, but, inevitably, eventually everyone will see reality, as it always happens.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is UNB price on fire? on: February 04, 2015, 09:18:36 PM
I managed to squeeze a bit of BTC from this as well. Mining/Renting, not speculating. One thing for sure is that Unbreakable has been broken (for a while anyways), with the 2,016 block difficulty change. After the insane amount of PHs pointed at it for a few days and the difficulty going from 8 then 13 to 53 M and then the PHs being taken away after the dump UNB is now experiencing 2-4 blocks per hour instead of 12. At the current rate this is going to remain this way for weeks.

The descriptions above point to several "reasons" for this particular debacle. I have a different version, a worse one: It seem that, as Drkman notes above, a few decided to buy/mine the vast majority of coins, along with Blasco, controlling up to 1 million or more of the then available coins and with and implied if not explicit agreement to not dump their holdings at least until the announcement of Turpin was made and or the 100,000 sat mark was reached. It worked very well... for a while. Classic pump. Until something quite predictable happened: The big miners were alerted that UNB was, by far, the most profitable coin to mine, so the amount of hashpower pointed to it grew insane within hours, flooding at least 200,000 coins in around 24 hours into the exchange. And the dumping started... Many people had been cashing in on the way up since only about half the coins in the current float were controlled. After the dumping got into high gear, a lot of other people liquidated resulting in a lost, from highs, of more than 75%... and counting.

Because those miners are done with UNB. Never to touch it again unless it becomes very profitable again. Which it wouldn't. Because now the difficulty will decrease, the credibility of Jim Blasko has disappeared completely even though he probably has nothing to do with the whole debacle, and UNB not only won't be profitable to mine but will actually, in all probability, continue liquidating. The top 8-10 holders have seen their holds lose practically all it's potential value because if they sell, even orderly, they will be left probably with less than they actually put in since all of them have been trying to help stabilize the price by buying the little that the can afford, so they have no resources whatsoever.

The price is important always but vital in UNB's case since the potential of it's auction's site depends completely on it and at the current price and below, nothing will ever be sold there because the amount of coins required to win anything will be ridiculously high. Similarly, the price determines the situation with the miners: Too low and no one mines it; too high, everyone will for a few hours and then dump. Lose-lose situation either way.

The only variable is the hiring of Turpin. Best case scenario, it will contribute to rise in price... thus meaning the scenario repeat itself and a new much bigger dump will take place; worse case scenario, he will do nothing but send a few press releases out with no practical effect whatsoever. Turpin comes to this immediately after KNC Miner where he was in charge of PR and everyone in crypto knows what a PR nightmare NKCMiner is going through resulting in the practical destruction of the former most respected mining company in crypto, both reputation-wise and bottom line. Not the best background imaginable for Turpin who, apparently, is only paid in UNB so his payment will probably amount to less what he spend in shoeshining in a given week.

Another sad page in the history book of crypto.

Someone bought/borrowed the Barabbas account for this one. It was a big one

very likely, saw the pw was changed.  is this enough for neg trust ?

Excuse moi? who bought/borrowed my account? what password change? what neg trust?

This is and always will be the ONLY and REAL deal... although I am open to offers for sale always, of course...

Both UNB and Paycoin dumping in the same day, you are as accurate as Nancy Grace predicting OJ, Michael Jackson, Casey Anthony and George Zimmerman would go down Barry...

Predictions? Nope, I don't do those either. You seem to be quite confused.

I think we can safely say this is the END of paycoin as far as Gaw is concerned. I don't think we will hear much more from him going forward. We will hear lots from the losers with the usual lawsuit and "lets track down Gaw" types of threads.

Perhaps the community can resurrect paycoin later on but they will have to change the name to shake off some of the scandal.

That is your conclusion? You do know that wishful thinking doesn't achieve anything, right?

PayCoin will eventually thrive. And the Honors program will go into effect ON SCHEDULE... your wishful thinking notwithstanding.

Hey Bud. The honors program is running a little late. Could you let us know the minute it starts so we can buy some really cheap coins to get in on this once-in-a-lifetime-offer? Thanks.

I will, promise. Oh, and just to clarify, the Honors program's RULES were to have been announced on 2/1/2015; the actual implementation of the program was to run exactly a month later.

I know that facts are not of relevance to you but, as it stands, the program could easily be implemented ON SCHEDULE. We'll have ton wait till March 1st to see if it is in fact delayed of not. I also promise to keep you posted on that.

The birth of UNB
Create a standard bitcoin clone and add no tech to it other than a 4X faster inflation rate because that's all you know how to do.
Then just go daily to Cryptsy chat for weeks/months and with the help of Cryptsy management create a pump group that lives in Cryptsy chat to engineer a pump by getting your pump group to buy literally all the coins of an unknown coin at 300-2000 SATS and then its easy to engineer the price upwards since you own ALL the coins.  Especially when Crypsy is a part of the scheme and bans users from chat who question the pump by all the used car salesmen in the Cryptsy chat who can't wait to pounce on any unsuspecting people who go in there.  They never suspect that they have walked into the IRC den of the UNB pump group led by Jim 'Surplus'.  The message is strongly controlled and new naive users are led into 60,000 SATS buys strongly and happily by the crew who all bought at 2000 SATS just days prior.

It's a novel take on the same old scheme.  Price fixing and pumping at its finest.  Bob Surplus will be very jealous and this pump model will be copied again in the future.

But does the coin have any feature at all?
Just look at what advertising the coin offers.  Even in the title he advertises "3X Bigger then Bitcoin"  Like having 3 times as many coins is a good thing or worth anything worthy at all?  Really?  That's what you are touting as a benefit of UNB Jim?  "3x bigger then Bitcoin?" That's not even correct English.  The auction site is also a ruse as noone is buying the rare stamps they have for sale there.  The only reason this has moved higher is a fake "story" of "honest dev" to pump to the naive here and the fact that they planned this by buying literally ALL the coin supply at 300-2000 SATS just a couple weeks back.  It's similar to other price fixing scams (ocupy, fuel) just better engineered via the "honest dev" story which is easier to market to people tired of GAW coins and other scam coins so they are desperate for any perceived alternative and thus easy victims for the Cryptsy sponsored pump crew.

These are just the facts and the run will run for however long they can keep the fake story going and keep recruiting new buyers at the used car lot, AKA Crypsy chat room, to buy at ever higher prices.

Given what has been happening in the last 24 hours, you are absolutely right.

Classic P and D.

Without the "D", of course. Classic, indeed.

yep absolutely no dump.  we "promise".  until tomorrow that is.

No on e has promised diddle doo. But so far, no "D". What are you going to do if no "D' at all. Tomorrow or any other day?

Oh I know, you jjust won't show up and somehow will convince yourself that you were right and that the rest just did not "get" it.

Must be nice...

This. It's a classic coin pump.

You probably meant "classy". Just hit a new all time high at 87K

In a class by itself indeed.

This coin has a dedicated and transparent developer in Jim Blasko. It is more than can be said for the vast majority of altcoins out there, so it is no wonder that the coin is taking off on announcement of upcoming major PR launch.

LMAO!!

Vericoin has dedicated and transparent developers but that didn't stop you from bashing them dozens of times daily for months.   And now you cite the exact same reasons for this taking off!?  It's due to Cryptsy pumping it and the currently low coins outstanding, so few owners to sell.  Let the multipools and the HUGE 50% UNB inflation rate catch up a bit and this could drop like a stone in the deep end.

I still do. They are, besides transparent, totally inept and unsuited for the job... as thoroughly proven for months already. That is NOT the case on UNB, obviously. The Three Stooges are very transparent... except for that maneuvre by one of them sending 250k coins to the exchange when VRC was attacked. It never computed, you know...

You have to catch up on the %, because the difficulty just increased big time today and that 50%? Not even close. But hey, keep on throwing money away with the stooges, you seem to be content doing so...
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 31, 2015, 06:23:01 AM
Hey everybody,

We've just published MangoCoinz v0.5.2 and it will be available to update in a few hours.
This is a security update, and updating from v0.5.1 will not result in coin loss.

A short time after the update is available, it will be the only version able to interact with the system.

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

Actually it HAS resulted, again, in coin loss. This is NOT working guys. Not at all. twice it has taken the coins out in 48 hours and a third time now with the update.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is UNB price on fire? on: January 31, 2015, 04:40:38 AM
P.S. Get the dev to tell everyone the total auctionwebsite sales over the past month.  I bet its not much more than 0.

That is a cheap shot man. How could they sell anything when the price of the coin was so lows that you needed thousands to pay just for shipping items?
Now it is a different reality altogether and you will see the auctions move really fast as the new price stabilizes. Plus a huge majority of people in crypto has never heard of UNB yet. Wait till they do...

I don't know if it will continue going much higher or not, but I do know that if the price stabilizes around 60K, the auction site will get very, very active. Guess what? A digital currency with immediate use case in the real world. Shocking ah?
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is UNB price on fire? on: January 31, 2015, 04:34:51 AM
Maybe, but supposedly UNB had no pre-mine .. very odd.
You don't need a premine when your coin is virtually dead for months.  You can just buy it all for dirt cheap.
The coin is recently up over 30X over the past several days.  Was a great and fast pump that may end in a bloodbath on Feb 1st. as the coin really offers zero tech, expertise, or value and has been pumped too far by everyone who is waiting to hear about the "new marketer", rolls eyes.  Smart money will have dumped all before then or during it.  The built in annualized 50% inflation rate is a doosy too as those find their way into the market to be dumped.

Aw man, and I was going to suggest it to be added to the SN... I guess no ah? Better to stick with VRC, that's a gold mine indeed.... lolololol.

You do know about the auction site, don't you?
