what's the status of the design?

Yes, like Matthew said. The source code is done and the website looks fantastic! Smiley
Thanks, could you please show us some screenshot of the website?

I'm the type of person who only wants to show the finished thing. The problem I see is, if you see an unfinished product you will not get such a big of a WOW moment when you see the finished one.

But I will tease you a bit. Smiley

Crypti Website Teaser

(Please remind, that the content is not yet integrated into the site. Some terms may also change, like the OS terms on the buttons!)

I also want to involve the community more. Above you see a call to the community to help build the wiki out. It is currently down (http://wiki.crypti.me/ and http://crypti.wiki/, because it was spammed with thousands of messages. I want to build it up from scratch with technical descriptions, guides and useful information. So it will be the #1 source for everything regarding Crypti. If you want to help, get in contact with me!

I also want to create a Crypti Community Task Force to help build momentum. There will be different teams inside the task force, some responsible for the wiki, some for twitter and so on. You will get bounties if you are a member, so if anyone is interested. PM me! Smiley

Thanks Passion_ltc!

@Starik

This is a good question and one we will be working on. Our network will work on a different reward system for delegates than what BTS uses. It will be more similar to what we initially envisioned for Crypti, which is a fair and equitable distribution of transaction fees to those who are running the network (now delegates). We will get into more detail in regards to how this will work as we outline some of the features and changes we are making.

I mention the differences in our reward system because I think it will attract interest when we launch. With the NRP running (possibly at a higher rate during the launch window), we will be able to ensure that the blocks will not be empty. With new users coming to Crypti to try out our new system, we will also hopefully have increased transaction volume, interest, and therefore rewards for delegates. We may also run promotions for respected community members who come to Crypti to help them get setup as a delegate at little to no up front cost (with a little added bonus). These are all things that are still under consideration.

As per # of delegates, this is something I am not 100% able to comment on at this time. We are still testing some of the changes and parameters which we will use to run the network.

@Wulf

We have been testing internally already. Our testing phase for DPOS will be sort of a phased process. We have tested the ported code with baseline parameters to ensure that our network, blockchain, and everything else are running smooth. We have now progressed on to the changes we are making to DPOS and testing those changes. The first of which is our major change to fee distribution, which we are doing now. We will monitor it to see if we are happy with the implementation and then determine whether we are ready to go public testing at that point, or make adjustments / additional changes.

Okay thanks for the update GreXX Smiley. And also congrats to Passion_ltc!

Passion_ltc, could you give us an update on the status of BTER? Are deposits enabled yet?
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: January 28, 2015, 02:06:07 PM
Okay so now, that 0.1.9/0.1.9a has been released and the Crypti network is now "stable", when will we most likely see 0.2.0, with the introduction of DPOS, being released? Then I think the most important question, how far down the line are Custom Blockchains and the other planned features?

In case anybody is having the same problem, Boris said he will fix today the syncing issue I had . Thank you Boris.

Yes, he will send me the download links soon and I will publish them here. Smiley

Hey Passion_ltc

Have BTER enabled deposits yet? I've still got around 20 000 XCR stuck in limbo on the way to BTER

Any update GreXX? How much longer till 0.1.9 will be released? Have the exchanges given the go ahead yet?
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: January 23, 2015, 05:53:11 PM
The launch of 0.1.9 will require we bring down all exchanges and stop transfers. We are going to be re-setting the entire network essentially. This requires a coordinated effort by all parties. We have scheduled to accomplish this at 0000 UTC. Once we get the exchanges and our network re-set and re-loaded with 0.1.9, we will ensure everything is up and running correctly and then we will post the clients for download and the official announcement. This is a huge re-invention / re-launch of the code for the actual network, as important, in my mind, as launching our DPOS solution. It is a complete re-write of the code to be 100% optimized and much more efficient. We literally changed almost everything.

I will keep you posted throughout the day as well as update once we start preparing the exchanges and getting everything worked up. Sorry for the short delay but coordinating with 3 exchanges and ourselves with everyone on different time zones has required us to work around multiple schedules.

Stay tuned to this thread and our blog. We will have more info shortly.

Hold on, so now 0.1.9 will be a reset of the entire network? What happens to the current network? GreXX, this is going to be the second time that you are going to be "re-setting" the entire network. You can't keep on taking the network down whenever you feel like it. Please give us some more info regarding this.

Status Update

I am trying to get back in full swing after the holidays and a few issues rose up for my day to day life.

v0.1.9

v0.1.9 is now officially in open testing. You can read the official blog post announcement and notes here: http://blog.crypti.me/test-net-release-v0-1-9/

This version has HUGE improvements in performance over previous versions and is a complete re-write of almost every facet of our client. The differences are noticeable immediately if you have been around and using Crypti for a while. I highly recommend everyone download it and help us test so we can ensure it is the best possible release client.

DPOS

As Max mentioned in his previous post, we have now hired a 3rd developer who will be working on custom block chains soon. Boris and Pavel are making great progress on DPOS and we are well on the way to completing our implementation.

Web Design

Many have been curious as to what is happening with the web design. The truth is that towards the holidays our designer sort of disappeared on us and was less than responsive. After some harassment, we received PSDs for all completed work up to this point and Max is helping complete the web wallet design based off of the already completed work with the designer. As it turns out, she had a baby and was fairly pre-occupied, which is understandable and so we have begun the final design piece on the web wallet internally. We had already completely the logo and website and had strong design elements to use to spruce up the current web wallet design (which we all were already very fond of).

We currently have a front-end developer building the new website and we should be able to launch it very soon. Our goal is to make it public as soon as the code is complete rather than wait. We are really excited about the design and looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

What's Next?

Now that v0.1.9 and the optimizations are essentially complete, we will allow a couple days for testing and then officially launch this release. The next release, 0.2.0 will be our DPOS release and will be another major milestone for Crypti. With the addition of the new developers, we are making huge strides with our client and core code that I think everyone will be really excited about!

As always, I will keep you up to date on any news! Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year GreXX, thanks for the update. You got mail!
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: January 09, 2015, 11:12:37 AM
Sorry guys, I was busy yesterday evening. Else this would have been released yesterday already.

So v0.1.9 is going into open testing. You can all test it by your heart's content. If you find any bugs please report them to bugs@crypti.me. Please remark, that this is a testnet version. So this version is not running on the mainnet! This will come in the following days. If you have an old testnet crypti client installed, just delete it and install this new one.

How to install?

You just need to follow this guide. Please note, that you have to install sqlite3 now as well.

What changed?

Core changes:
- Complete revamp of the source base
--- 100% rewritten with an all new structure
--- Now the code even more efficient and clean
--- The blockchain structure changed completely (same data! But you can't reuse the old blockchain.db)
--- Also the P2P changed a lot to be more efficient and effective
- New API, it is now more useful for developers. You can find all commands on Apiary.io
- The blockchain.db is not stored in the memory anymore, this saves a lot of memory usage.
- Fixed all bugs with CPU (the cases in which the CPU went to 100%). Now it can only goes to 100% while loading the blockchain.
- The Peer/API moved from Express 3.0 to Express 4.0.

Client changes:
- There is now a label to see how many blocks are left to be up-to-date.

Where can I download it?

HERE!

I hope you like the changes. We just hired our third dev, he will start working next week. We also have a front-end developer for our website now. You can expect progress here as well. Once we have the new website ready, we will update the OP as well.

Great, just a quick question where is GreXX? He usually does the announcements, haven't seen him here for a while now.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: January 01, 2015, 08:06:38 AM
Hey Guys,

We should be more active again in the forums and IRC in the next few days. A lot of people have been visiting with family and celebrating the holiday season. I myself had a lot of family in town at my home and so wasn't nearly as active as usual. 0.1.9 is currently in limited testing with some of the IRC crowd as well as our internal team. It will be in open testing soon. Our process kind of works like this:

1. Internal testing by Boris and Pavel.
2. Internal testing by our test team.
3. All of the above + IRC regulars.
4. Open test.
5. Release.

So as you can see we are on phase 3 of testing right now for 0.1.9. We will be announcing the start of open testing soon on the blog and usual methods. I think everyone who has been here a while and has used multiple versions will immediately notice the difference. All aspects of the client have been optimized and improved drastically. We are very happy with the performance increases.

Also, on a side note. We are already working on DPOS (0.2.0) and Boris has been interviewing new candidates for our 3rd dev slot. We will make an announcement when another developer is hired.

Great thanks for the update GreXX!. How's things coming along with the design?

We hit a slight stumbling block due to being way past due and the holidays hitting. We are working through it. We have not completed the web wallet design as of yet and I am hoping to finish it asap after the holidays. I hope I can give an update on all of it soon.
Ah okay, is Christine still on contract?
