Why does the guy tease the hot chick? Looks like someone wants some of the hot Silk  Buyers are getting anxious at the moment. You can see it by monitoring the market. Around 20 minutes ago there was a "panic" buy, that bought up all sell orders from 3000 Satoshi to 3600 Satoshi. After that "panic" buy, another 5 BTC has accumulated in the buy order book. If the price level stays the same it will most likely indicate a new support floor. |

I am running windows 7 and google chrome, is it normal to get this warning when downloading silk wallet? also, I am really interested in silk, but there is literally only one thing that is holding me back from buying 50,000 sc... the premine. I do not have any intentions of fudding or talking negatively about silkcoin, let me be clear, I think this coin is awesome and the wallet looks sick. And now I feel retarded for writing this one off on day one because of the premine. Would someone mind calming my quells about the premine? The only reason why I even care is because historically, premine coins have not done well. I think devs should be rewarded for good work, but it makes me nervous Has the premine already been spent? With regards to the best time to buy in, there are a lot of variables that could affect the price, most notably the number of coins that ends up being mined by multipools. So no one can really give an accurate estimate as to when the best time to buy is. In my opinion I think you should buy 50%, now before the 2nd PoW phase and 50% during the 2nd PoW phase, that way you limit your losses if the price goes either up or down. With regards, to the pre-mine, generally we try to pay with our own funds rather than using the pre-mine. The pre-mine has only so far been used to pay for bounties in some of our ventures, such as the Shock & Awe campaign, and the Oculus Rift competition. |

On the exchange front, two distinct walls are forming, one buy wall at 3100 Satoshis and a sell wall at 3700 Satoshis. The market is currently in a stand-still moving between these walls. On another note a large portion of sell walls have been removed, at this point we only need 17 BTC to get to 5000 Satoshis, see the depth chart below. It could be an attempt to manipulate the price, given the fact that there are only 900 000 worth of SC sell orders currently on Poloniex, or it could be sellers hoarding coins.  |

Maybe it would be a good time to start new topic when Silkcoin reach 10th on Mintpal . I mean selfmoderated one. We will attract more trolls and jealous people. It is inevitable and I for one would like to reduce the toxicity I think we'll lose a lot of momentum if we do that. A prime example is BlackCoin which was getting close to 2000 posts per week before they switched threads and now after a month they've accumulated only 4000 posts. It fractures the community to some extent when switching threads. Yeah well its just a suggestion. I mean it would be propably wise to do if there was much more negativity. This is propably still nothing If the FUD spreading and toxicity in the thread goes past a certain level, then yes action will need to be taken |

It's a logical thought. I'm not personally gonna risk it, but it does make sense. I think the dumps are gonna be more from people doing what you're thinking rather than miners. 15 mil over 7 days with the popularity this thing is getting... mining dumps might be a lot less severe than people think. The main reason why multipool dumping was severe in the first PoW phase was due to the fact that SilkCoin was virtually unknown. Therefore multipools managed to take advantage and seize control over a large portion of the coins which the then dumped onto the market (creating a good distribution of coins). For the first 2 days of the PoW phase there was over 140 BTC worth of buy support, which kept to price level at 2500-3000 Satoshis, before buy support exhausted and the multipools started dumping. Our community has grown probably 10x as big during the current PoS phase. This means more miners, a bigger hash-rate and a result fewer coins going to multipools for them to dump. In my opinion, and I'm sure many here will agree with me, multipool dumping is factored into the current price. This means that if the multipool dumping is not as bad as people thought it would be, then we will see the price rise dramatically as more people buy into the market. Another thing to remember is that not everyone is mining to dump their coins, some miners will look to hold their coins. |
