101  Other / Meta / Re: fillippone merited thread need more support of merit source. on: June 24, 2023, 01:30:15 PM
I personally think fillippone is doing a great thing and helping new members, but many other merit sources are also doing it in their own way, without saying too much about it on the forum.
I think fillippone should answer your question and suggestion and not other forum members.
Why didn't you ask him first?
Other merit sources also help newbies and may not be able to directly help fillippone because they don't have enough merits to help everyone, have you thought about that?
If fillippone thinks he needs more merits, then it's best if he asks directly theymos and not other forum members.
I've had this thread on the Croatian local board for 5 years now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4265795.0, where local members can report their quality posts and get merits, and I'm sure that many other merit sources do the same thing.

OP, this forum is an online community of bitcoin and crypto enthusiasts.
Of course we are not all at the same level and some members know a lot more about crypto and bitcoin and some less.
The best advice I can give to a newbies is that in the beginning they should read more posts from others and learn, and if they want to ask something, they should first check if someone has already answered their question.
Nothing is more annoying than when a question like how to get merits or make money on this forum is asked a thousand times over and over again.
When new forum members gain more experience and knowledge about crypto, they will become more active on the forum and this is a natural way for all members to progress on the forum.
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you start your posting life as a newbie??? only for full mem, Sr and leg on: June 24, 2023, 01:07:41 PM
I have been a member of many Internet forums in my life, so it was not difficult for me to get used to this forum.
I've been a member of this forum for almost 10 years, and since I didn't really know much about crypto or bitcoin in the beginning, I mostly wrote in the offtopic and read the posts of other, older and more experienced members.
Over time, I started writing in my local board and later I became active in the English part of the forum.
As I learned more and gained more experience about crypto and bitcoin, I started writing more in other parts of the forum. I think it's a natural path for all forum members.

Ajde da probam drugačije formulirati;
#1. Ako račun ima tvoje ime (e.g. kupovina nekretnine), plaćaš poreze i sve što ide na to.
#2. Ako račun nema tvoje ime (kvadratni metar parketa), platiš trgovini koliko traži, ali ne moraš nigdje prijavljivati da si ti potrošio koliko si potrošio na parket. Nitko neće ić ulazit u stan gledat koji parket imaš i koliko si ga platio ukoliko nisi red flaggan.
#3. Građevinar koji će ti to u fušu napraviti se može nać na svakom kutu, platiš mu keš i ideš dalje.

Pokušaj smanjenja realne cijene nekretnine odmah pali ''crvenu lampicu'' u poreznoj.
Porezna odmah ima i uvid u sve tvoje prijavljene prihode i ako postoji nesrazmjer u tvojim prijavljenim prihodima i novcu s kojim si kupio nekretninu možeš očekivati porezni nadzor.

107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 22, 2023, 02:14:57 PM

Argentina is a very special country where everyone is crazy about football and nothing is recognized as success except winning the world cup. Any other result is a disaster and a failure, and so it is in Brazil. It is very difficult to play under such enormous pressure from the public, and this can be seen in the example of Brazil and Argentina. Brazil has not been able to become the world champion for 20 years, and Argentina managed to become the world champion after a long 36-year wait.
Messi was also constantly compared to Maradona and it was said that he could not be the greatest Argentinian footballer in history if he failed to lead the national team to the world title. That was a huge pressure even for a football player like Messi. I think that winning the South American cup title before the world cup in Qatar helped him a lot and that he played in Qatar with less pressure.
Messi is a charismatic footballer and one of the best footballers in the history of football, but for me personally Maradona was still better. He practically single-handedly led Argentina to the title of world champion in 1986 and no one has ever been able to repeat that, such individual dominance in such a team sport.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I am not aware of a statistic where Maradona was better than Messi. In 1986 Maradona scored 5 out of 14 team goals and Messi scored 7 out of 14 team goals. Maradona did not score in the final, but Messi did against France. They had an equal amount of scorer points due to assists. I know what you are saying about Maradona and how he has pushed the team, but the same applies to Messi. Both were/are exceptional players with abilities that are out of this world. For me Messi is the best ever because he was able to do all these genius shenanigans, like the free kick against Atletico Madrid . Everyone who has a clue about soccer knows that a goal like that is too good to be real. This is not the only goal of this category, he did that all the time. The smartness in his game is unprecedented and will probably not be surpassed by anyone ever. There isn't a single quality he is lacking that is not limited by his physical being, like saying is headers are bad doesn't really count for a guy who is 1.70. There is only so much you can expect in terms of headers from a guy of that size.

But to close our exchange of opinions ( Wink ) I would still hope to see Messi be around for some time. Was always a pleasure to watch him play and I also always liked the good old videos about Maradona.

Ok, let's then talk about Maradona's contribution to Argentina's 1986 world title and Messi's contribution to Argentina's 2022 world title.
As you know, one's contribution in a game depends not only on goals but also on assists, and both factors are important.
Maradona may have scored less goals than Messi, but almost all of his goals were in the knockout stages of the competition, when it matters most, and not in the group stages of the competition.
Maradona scored all four goals for Argentina in the quarter-finals and semi-finals against very tough opponents, England and Belgium.
His goal against Belgium in the semi-finals, when he went past 7 players of the opposing team, is still considered the best goal in the history of the World Cup.
Diego Maradona participated in 10 goals at the 1986 World Cup, 5 goals and 5 assists.
His final assist in the final against Germany brought Argentina the World Cup title.
So, when I say that Maradona practically single-handedly led Argentina to the World Cup title in 1986, it is not my opinion or an exaggeration, but an obvious fact.
However, Messi did not have such a big impact on Argentina's performances at the 2022 World Cup.
I advise you to look at the performances of Argentina in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals of the 1986 World Cup, as I did, and then compare the performances of Argentina in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals of the 2022 World Cup and then we can further discuss this topic, based on concrete facts and arguments.
I'm sorry that not everyone likes this but Maradona contributed much more to Argentina's 1986 world title than Messi did last year, especially because of what he did in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, when he single-handedly beat opponents.
Yes, Maradona is better than Messi, whether you like it or not.

I would add that Maradona didn't score his goals from penalties but from play and most importantly, Maradona led an average Argentinian national team to the world title in 1986, and Messi still had a much stronger team behind him last year.

Benzema had a good performance and he scored many goals for his team, Real Madrid. Karim Benzema achieved many titles with Real Madrid but any player should get retired one day and Benzema had to choose the Arabian teams to earn more money at the end of his career.
On the other hand, Real Madrid should start seeking a young and talented player to fill his position.
Real Madrid have started looking for a replacement for Karim Benzema at the moment, and I think Real Madrid needs a few replacements for the line Karim Benzema has put in before. In the next season Real Madrid will probably have more young players than senior players in their team so that Real Madrid's strength next season will probably be very different from the previous season. Although in terms of team strength it is still uncertain now, whether it will really improve or not for next season.

I think there is too much panic and fear in the public about Benzema leaving. Ok, it's about a great striker, but the same situation was when Ronaldo left. Everyone was afraid and wondered who would replace him, and today everyone has already forgotten Ronaldo.
I don't think they are too worried at Real because they already have great players like Vicinius, Josela and Rodrygo in attack, and Mbappe will come next season. Real has a very smart policy of bringing in new players and that's why they are always among the favorites to win the Champions League.
Given his age, it was not realistic for Benzema to play at the top level for a long time, and now he has decided to go to Saudi Arabia and earn some more big money before retirement.

~snip~

Life is made up of victories and defeats, and this defeat should still be viewed as one transient thing that will quickly become a matter of past. I have no doubt that Croatia will be on the Euro 2024 and that it will show good games there, but if it wants to make a good result again, it will need something more than luck.

The fact is that we are missing something that can push us to the end, and it is up to the coach and the expert staff to analyze the team and try to maybe introduce some new players into the game. Croatia must prepare for the fact that in the future they will play without some very important players, and it is still unknown whether Luka Modric will continue to play for the national team.

I just read the news that Modrić rejected a very rich offer from Saudi Arabia and a salary of several hundred million dollars, and that instead he decided to play another year at Real, and he wants to play for the national team at the EURO and try to win the first historic trophy with the national team.
If this news is confirmed, it will only be an additional argument of what kind of man and character he is.
As for the national team, what we miss the most, since Mandzukic left in 2018, is a real and deadly striker.
We have a great defense and the team is very difficult to concede goals. The midfield with Modric, Brozovic and Kovacic is one of the best in the world, but what good is a great game in defense and midfield when you don't have strikers who will regularly score goals?
In any case, Croatia will be a very difficult and unpleasant opponent for everyone at the EURO.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: June 22, 2023, 01:37:45 PM
Considering Iceland's style of play, this is a good result. And by the way, despite the fact that many criticize Portugal now it has 4 wins in 4 games, many other top teams have worse results, and for example Poland failed altogether.
Ronaldo is doing everything as before - every game is an update of some record, what kind of player!  Smiley
Portugal managed to wipe out the 4 matches they played with perfect wins, and that put them at the top of Group J.
Talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, at his no longer young age he can create something that is difficult for football players to achieve, and now he has scored his 200th goal with the Portugal national team after he scored in his last game and at the same time the goal was the winning goal for Portugal . This player who is currently playing in the Arab League with Al Nassr is extraordinary.

It was the 200th game, not a goal. He scored 123 goals for the Portuguese national team, and even taking into account the fact that FIFA is raping the game calendar by inventing new moronic competitions + expanding the number of teams in the final part of tournaments, it’s hard for me to imagine that someone can surpass this result (maybe Mbappe?). I hope he will not stop and raise the bar as high as possible.

yes, but he's starting to be no longer as young as he used to be
and he can't pull a whole team by the hair, I don't think this is the case but it's just my reflection

as a professional I consider him a very serious person, but as a man I don't respect him very much
At an increasingly old age, many other players have started to have no faith in Ronaldo and there have been many cases where one of his own team, if in front of the opponent's goal, prefers to shoot directly rather than having to provide feedback to Ronaldo to have a chance to score.
For the Portuguese national team, I admit Ronaldo has been very meritorious and has provided many goals for Portugal.
If it is said who will surpass Ronaldo's achievements in scoring goals, I have two player options, namely Mbappe and also Haaland.

Ronaldo is definitely a great player and legend, both in terms of the number of appearances and the number of goals for the Portuguese national team.
However, Ronaldo is no longer a young player and no longer plays at the top level.
At the World Cup in Qatar, with his selfish behavior and public expression of dissatisfaction with the selectors' decision not to play the first match of the knockout phase, he damaged the result and the game of the Portuguese national team.
Journalists wrote more about why Ronaldo wasn't playing but about Portugal's game and this led to a conflict in the team and ultimately Portugal's premature exit from the competition.
For Ronaldo, his personal records and goals are always the most important for him, and unfortunately he obviously doesn't want to admit that he is too old and that he no longer plays at the top level.

Croatia loses the national league championship to Spain. It was a challenging game characterized by excellent performances from both parties; everyone was concentrating on the title and put in all they had on the field; nevertheless the game ended in extra time and penalty shootouts with brilliant performance fulltime. That was a completely another level, and we all know how nerve-racking taking penalties is. Those who scored were ecstatic, while those who failed to score were booed by the supporters. Spain won the current champions of the national league trophy.
The goalkeeper of the Croatian national team, every time he plays against Spain, turns into a calamity with legs and gloves. He didn't stop any penalties, they scored five goals against him in the Euro, it's that ancestral fear that some goalkeepers have when playing against certain opponents. Spain lost on penalties 2018, 2020 and 2022. Why they had to be so good and confident now, when Croatia had a chance for first trophy? And mind you, Croatia have good record on penalties.

Honestly, I also expected that Croatia would be more successful in penalty shootouts than Spain, especially considering that Croatia has been very successful in penalty shootouts lately and Spain has been very unsuccessful.
However, this time the players of Spain were very well prepared for penalties, both mentally and physically, and did not give Croatia's goalkeeper Livaković any chance.
Penalties are always a lottery in a way and you can't expect to win every time like that. Realistically, even in the regular part of the match, Spain was closer to victory and deservedly won.
It's a pity for Modric and maybe the last chance for him to win a trophy with the national team.

Higuita was one of the few players that understood that this is not only a sport but also a spectacle that people watch, and if the players do not make it exciting then people will find other things to do with their time, some may argue that his antics risked scores against his team, but the fans loved him precisely because he was willing to take some crazy risks just for them to be entertained, unfortunately there are not many players like him anymore on the world of soccer these days.

Yeah, it is an spectacle basically.

The players that are most entertaining are usually the ones that are most respected and loved by the people, even if their skills are not that great.

The same is true in reverse. It doesn't matter if a player skill is incredible if there's not charisma from the player. People won't like that player as much.

What do you understand as charisma? Wink

Ronaldo hasn't been charismatic. Zidane has been charismatic (except for his head kick against Italy). They can also be polarizing and still contribute to the spectacle.

But in reverse a player that is burdened with high expectations can also create a lot of disappointment. What would people have said if Messi didn't win the World Cup? He would be called a loser, incomplete star. There are very fine lines when it comes to how people treat the players.

Argentina is a very special country where everyone is crazy about football and nothing is recognized as success except winning the world cup. Any other result is a disaster and a failure, and so it is in Brazil. Belgium got a very comfortable win against Estonia just as expected. Lukaku put on a good show with 2 goals. However yeah this isn't an indicator that Belgium have improved their general effort. Their group is quite an easy one here in the qualifiers stage. They might be likely to finish it behind Austria though but it would still be enough to carry them to Euro 2024.

But the problem is they don't look like they can be a great title contender there. There is still a long time period to talk about it maybe. But since the World Cup there isn't much change we can see now. Belgium have had a  wonderful generation to make use of with winning multiple titles. But in-team personal issues between the players turned everything into a nightmare for this team. There are still players who don't talk to each other as far as I know.

Yeah, I just read the news yesterday about the problems in the Belgium national team. Their goalkeeper made a statement saying that their coach gave out a private conversation that they had. If that is true, it's a disaster for the team. The team (club or national team) should be above personal grudges because that kind of stuff can really ruin the morale and once a great team can start playing very badly.

In recent years, Belgium had a great team, with some of the best footballers in the world, such as Courtois, De Bruyne, Hazard or Lukaku, but apart from third place at the World Cup in Russia after a great victory against Brazil in the quarter-finals, they did not really achieve any great international success.
It seems that the "golden generation" of Belgium is slowly leaving without achieving the result that everyone expected from them.
I wondered why this was so and it seems to me, after this affair between Courtois and the coach, that I understand why.
You can have great individuals in the team, but without team spirit and team unity, you cannot achieve the desired result.
Croatia is the best example.
Of the other national teams in these qualifications, I was very pleasantly surprised by Scotland with a great start, and very unpleasant by Serbia and Bosnia.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 21, 2023, 11:54:24 AM
The 4-0 defeat in the second leg of the UCL semi-final last season was a very embarrassing blow for Real Madrid, they have always been the favorites in this competition but Manchester City threw mud at Real Madrid face. It's hard to forget how a team like Real Madrid was defeated with a crushing score in the semifinals. Real Madrid will try to do anything next season to add to their collection of UCL trophies that they failed to achieve last season.

The big name that Real Madrid has is very easy to bring in quality players, Bellingham has been successfully brought in with great value. Real Madrid are still not satisfied with Bellingham arrival, they are looking for a striker who can be relied on to make their front line even sharper and more dangerous. I hope Mbappe will join Real Madrid next season, at Real Madrid it is easier for him to win the UCL trophy than the team he is currently defending.

After all, even though Real Madrid is the king of Europe because they have won 14 Champions League titles, but that doesn't mean they have to continue to win consecutive Champions League titles. Because after all, Real Madrid won the Champions League 14 times and I can say it was obtained in stages. That means, it would be natural if in a few seasons Real Madrid failed to win the Champions League title. Because after all, even though Real Madrid failed to win the Champions League title in several seasons it also would not make Real Madrid look weak.
I agree as we know Real Madrid is surely brand in Champions League and their history is also amazing in this competition which make them King of the Europe but still they can face results like they have in last season because it's also part of the game with no team can stay at same level ups and downs are also part of the game now they are facing some issues with the departure of their few star players with Karim Benzema is gone to Saudi League, and they also lost Casimiro to Manchester United and now few more players are also on departure which is not ideal and can bring some troubles for them but with this all still they have good potential to bring the best players in business because playing for the Real Madrid is dream for millions and surely things could be on his best in just one or two seasons which is part of their strategy as well.

No one has won the Champions League more times in recent years than Real.
Unlike most clubs that play in the Champions League with the desire to achieve the best possible result, for Real players anything but winning the Champions League is a failure and that is the main difference between Real and other clubs in the Champions League.
Real has a winning mentality and self-confidence that other clubs in Europe do not have in European competitions.
Real will have a very strong team in the Champions League next season, the defense is almost the same, Bellingham is coming to the midfield, another quality striker Joselu has arrived, and Vinicius and Rodrygo are also great strikers.
Even after Ronaldo's departure, it was said that Real would not be able to find a replacement for him, but it turned out not to be the case.

Sunday's gossip:

Manchester United are preparing a Ł45m bid for Everton's England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, 29.
Manchester United are expected to increase their bid for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount to Ł50m, having had an initial Ł40m offer for the England international rejected. Manchester United is once again spending a lot of money on new players, but so far this strategy has not really paid off.
Chelsea have asked Inter Milan if they would include Italy midfielder Nicolo Barella, 26, in a swap deal that would see Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 30, make a permanent move to Italy. It seems that Lukaku is definitely staying in Italy.
Chelsea are also looking to sell Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 33, Morocco winger Hakim Ziyech, 30, and Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, 31, to Saudi clubs. Who will end up staying at Chelsea from the old players?  Grin
Paris St-Germain have spoken to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta about becoming their new coach, with talks having broken down with former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann. Has PSG finally found their new coach?  Cheesy
Bayern Munich say they have no intention of selling Joshua Kimmich and criticised Barcelona for 'flirting' with the Germany midfielder, 28. It seems that the relationship between Barcelona and Bayern is seriously damaged.
After terminating his contract at Real Madrid, former Belgium forward Eden Hazard, 32, is considering a return to his homeland to play alongside his younger brother Kylian at RWD Molenbeek. Is Hazard retiring from football?

Congratulations to Andy Murray on winning the tournament in Nottingham!

Andy Murray won the Nottingham Open for back-to-back grass-court titles to maintain a perfect Wimbledon build-up.
A week after victory in the Surbiton Trophy, the 36-year-old hoisted more silverware with a 6-4 6-4 victory over France's Arthur Cazaux in Nottingham.

It's great to see that Andy Murray, after so many injuries and after not playing for so long, is not giving up and is still trying to play at the highest level. After this victory, he will enter the top 40 tennis players in the world.
His biggest prize will be a performance at the upcoming Wimbledon, although his chances of a big result at Wimbledon are probably very small.
I wonder how long we will see tennis masters like him or Nadal on the court.

~snip~
Brazil coach Tite was a total failure in the quarter final match against Croatia. The changes in some of the first-row players towards the end surprised me. Then Neymar scored a great goal for Brazil in the very last minute of the game with only one and a half minutes left in the game and at that time there was no point in attacking Croatia from the defense. A minute of defense would have ensured Brazil's victory against Croatia. I think Brazilian coach Tite forgot to teach his students this lesson. Brazil needs a top level coach as every current player is top level. The World Cup has been over for a long time, but Brazil has yet to select a quality coach. Choosing a good quality coach is very important for them.
In my view, the Brazil-Croatia quarter-final exposed Tite's weak strategy. His lineup adjustments were baffling. Neymar's stunning last-minute goal didn't fix the bad plan. Proper defense could've won the game for Brazil, a tactic Tite missed. I agree that Brazil needs a top-tier coach to match its players' skills. Even after the World Cup, Brazil is still hunting for a competent coach, vital for their future triumphs.

I think that Brazil played as well as the players of Croatia allowed it with their great game.
In the first half, Brazil could not do anything against Croatia, who played a perfect game and hid the ball from the Brazilian players.
Only when in the second half did the Croatian players get tired and the concentration drop, Brazil finally showed their strength in attack, but not enough to win.
However, during the entire match, it was clear that the players of Croatia matched the players of Brazil very well, and even after the lead of Brazil, it was clear that the match was not decided.
What do you think Brazil's players should have done after taking the lead? Play only in defense, defend desperately and forget about attack? The fans would never forgive them for such a cowardly game and it would not be the real Brazil. It was logical that Brazil could not just defend and that they would try to score the second goal and solve the game, but they failed because of the quality of the Croatian team. Croatia didn't beat Brazil by chance and did not win medals at the last 2 world cups by chance. Whoever calls it luck is underestimating the quality of the Croatian team.
I think Brazil needs a good team spirit and less selfishness in the game much more than a good coach.

Yes, it is actually very interesting. Barcelona has won more Spanish championships than Real in recent years, but Real is much more successful than Barcelona in the Champions League. In the last 2 years, Barcelona did not even manage to make it to the knockout phase of the Champions League. I really don't know how to explain it rationally.
Barcelona has had major financial and organizational problems in recent years, and the loss of Messi was irreplaceable.
Honestly, I don't see Barcelona as one of the favorites in the next season of the Champions League, unlike Real.
Manchester City remains the main favorite for the next season of the Champions League.
Since 2015, Barcelona never won Champion League tittle and the best achievement lead until semifinal stage, but tragic last two season under Xavi Hernandez era Barcelona have been eliminated from group stage. Its seven years Barcelona can't win Champion League tittle and difference with the rival team Real Madrid success dominance become the winner in several times.

Talking about next season, seems Barcelona is not favorite team exactly when facing bigger team like Bayern Munich or Inter Milan in group stage. Can't guarantee for Barcelona has good performance in domestic league get impact in Champion League, this season Barcelona success winning La Liga and become fewest goals conceded teams but in Champion League Barcelona conceded many goals on group phase. Lest see with Barcelona participants in Champion League next season, will fail reach to knock out phase or success lead until final stage.

Yes, unfortunately I'm not optimistic about Barcelona's chances to win the Champions League again next season.
Barcelona has been in organizational and financial chaos for a long time.
As a result, they lost their main player Messi and have not yet recovered from it.
The last time Barcelona were competitive in the Champions League was when Pep was the coach at the club.
I believe that Barcelona then had a chance to become what Manchester City is now, but it didn't happen due to internal problems at the club and Pep is now creating a new football dynasty in Manchester, a club and team that will dominate in England and in the Champions League for a long time.

On paper Spain seems to be the favorite, but Croatia is just as much a favorite in my eyes.Croatia defeated the Netherlands 4-2 and we are talking about a team that came 3rd in the world cup.Croatia will at least want to succeed here and lift the trophy and I think they are ready to give their all as a team. They will play their hearts out for the sake of injury.Spain is of course a strong team, but I think Croatia will push them very hard.

Croatia has never been among the favorites at any major competition, and in recent years it has won a medal almost every time.
At the last 2 world championships and in this edition of the League of Nations, we beat well-known and strong national teams such as England, Brazil, Argentina or France, for example.
It can be said that Croatia does not care who they play against and who is the favorite in the bookmakers, Croatia always plays at the highest level and loses important matches very hard.
Spain has changed the team and currently has a lot of young players without experience playing in major competitions. Croatia is a more experienced team and I think this is a detail that could decide the winner.
In any case, we are expecting an uncertain and exciting match with probable extra time and maybe we will see penalties.
