101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Price Soon on: December 05, 2017, 07:22:55 PM
Waves Already hit $ 7.82.Hopefully, the price of the wave increases further.Waves best coins for long-term. Waves future is so bright.I'll hold the waves in 2018.
Based on what MonaCo pulled off in the last two days I wouldn't be surprised if Waves jumped to $14~$21 with Waves NG next week.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 0.01 BTC, what should I do with them ? on: December 03, 2017, 06:16:52 PM

you can try to invest in cloud mining or just hold it for 5 years and exchange it for home or auto =) Grin
That's way too little to make mining worth it. Nevermind cloud mining.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is buying WAVES? on: December 03, 2017, 06:16:15 PM
I am buying Waves regularly. I really believe waves is a good coin because it has its own blockchain and other asset can be easily created using Waves.
I am much more interested in their own exchange. Seems like it'll be an advantage over Ethereum, NEO and other "smart contract/token creation" blockchains in the future.
That is the aspect I’m most interested about waves too, but it seems lately people are more interested about the ability to create smart contracts, while to me is a lot more important that we get a solid decentralized exchange with good volume and a lot of coins, since it seems very heavy regulation is going to come to exchanges and we need something like a decentralized exchange to avoid that.
Seems like people haven't fully realized the utility of a decentralized exchange yet. But without a doubt they will become one of the most important features of crypto in the future.
I think people are going to begin to understand the importance of decentralized exchanges with the recent decisions by the US court to force coinbase to reveal the data of a lot of their clients, this is going to become more common in the future and at that point people will begin to call for decentralized exchanges to become a more predominant part of the market, this is why I think waves is going to be a great investment in the next years.
That's one of the major reasons why I got into Waves in the first place. The market is shortsighted, impulsive and emotional, so most people aren't anticipating the future. That also means that once shit hits the fan the floodgates for decentralized exchanges will open. Might be a longer term investment than some other coins, but it's one of the safest bets to make in my opinion.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 0.01 BTC, what should I do with them ? on: December 03, 2017, 06:13:18 PM
Park it in a paper wallet and forget about it for the next 10 years. There's no point in cashing out 0.01 BTC unless it would save your life.

Alternatively find a value creating altcoin that is actually pecked to the profits of whatever platform or company it belongs to.

Also stop trading unless you have spent large amounts of time studying technical analysis and know the theory in your sleep. Sure, people keep going on and on about how some people prefer learning hands on. But those are just lazy and generally less successful.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a real asset, but it's in a bubble state. on: December 03, 2017, 06:07:06 PM
I’m a huge optimist when it comes to bitcoins and altcoin. However, I really do think it’s in its bubble state. People are buying these coins and holding onto them instead of spending it. That’s what’s causing the huge increase. Eventually, the price will stop increasing, I just don’t know how far we are from that
Even if they started spending it, the fact that more and more people are joining the market would drastically increase the velocity of money, which would drive the price up due to the limited supply.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: December 03, 2017, 06:00:53 PM
I am so glad BCH is doing well. 0.1365 is not bad at all. Rising faster than BTC. Watch for a possible hard dip in BTC and get the f out to USD if that happens. You can then jump in when it goes up again. Seems BCH is here to stay and I could not be happier for those who invested high. Keep an eye out for a possible huge correction across crypto though. It may happen when BTC hits 12K or it may never happen.
The only reason BCash is rising faster than Bitcoin is its drastically lower market cap. And BCash is not here to stay. It's trying to be Bitcoin but it's very clear that it failed at achieving its goal. Given the characters that actually created it it's quite likely that they will just get out at some point. Sure, the coin will stay around, but it will just be another altcoin, and a bad one at that.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a real asset, but it's in a bubble state. on: December 03, 2017, 05:58:45 PM
At the CNBC global CFO conference, 97 CFO were asked about their views on bitcoin. 27.9% of them think the encrypted currency is trueBut in a bubble state~ Smiley
Seems like even the CNBC doesn't understand the term "bubble" anymore... We don't know the value of Bitcoin, but it could easily be several trillion USD in market size. In that case it would be very far from being anything close to a bubble.

Will the price retract for a period of time? Probably, that's what happens most of the time in most markets after a bull run. But that doesn't make an asset a bubble, which would imply that the asset is overvalued (which with Bitcoin nobody can assess right now).
Yes, the last time I checked, something or an asset can be considered a bubble if it exceeds its intrinsic value.
Just like you have said, we do not even know the extent bitcoin is going to end up as and looking at the charts, we have not really had a very huge retraction except just some few corrections which are normal and totally show the support of the coin.

As far as I am concerned, the fact that bitcoin have limited supply, totally makes it undervalued right now compared to the number of population not yet making use of it and I would not consider the increase in value right now a bubble.
The limited supply is just one of many factors in Bitcoin's price. There are so many facets to it that it's really hard difficult to quantify all of the individual contributions into a total price. But even with the aspects considered individually I still don't see a bubble anywhere in the near future.

So only 28% of the CFOs think that the bitcoin right now is in bubble state and the rest 72% per of the people are saying the opposite? Since minority of the people are saying that it is a bubble which might burst soon, you come to a conclusion that it is a bubble?
Majority are saying that it is not a bubble, so lets trust them.
This is the internet after all. I don't have any hard data, but it does seem like 72% of the people on here don't even understand what they are saying themselves, much less what they are "investing" in.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your target with your alts profits on: December 02, 2017, 03:08:47 AM
At this point my only target is to increase my wealth while making sure that I will always have enough to live off of a passive income for the rest of my life.

Stay away from "lending" coins, all of them are scams.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: December 02, 2017, 03:06:18 AM
Many speculations were proven wrong by bitcoin. Perhaps, it's part of the game where bitcoin is already adept because every time it falls down, it always come back strong too. With that, i think i have to stay in bitcoin rather than shifting to alt with no insurance of earning a real profit all year long.
You don't know what Bitcoin will do, and going all in on anything is never a good idea. If you stay in both Bitcoin and some altcoins you'll be fine, as long as you do proper research for your alt picks.

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Price Soon on: November 29, 2017, 01:05:02 PM
$7-9 is too less for Waves In the current scenario, i dont get why waves never get its chance to pump like how Monero and Litecoin did.

IMO, like how Ripple, Lite and Monero Pump, i would say Waves should worth at least $20 per waves

Actually, the current scenario fits me fine, I have no issues with a coin that doesn't jump and hop all over the place without any actual development pushing it. Waves is one of those projects you just have to be patient with. It is not getting it chance to pump simply because it's patiently developing. For me, 2018 and even 2019 can take its time. Price is not an issue at all.

What I would REALLY like to see is the volume growing on the dex. And I believe that is already happening, slowly but surely. When that happens, you'll see steady value upwards for sure.
I've been waiting for the Waves DEX volume to go up as well, pretty sure that will start happening once the NG platform goes live.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: November 29, 2017, 01:03:49 PM
This is a hard question to answer because some ICOs were a super lucrative investments and some was a really shitty investment - This is a fact.

See here are the ICOs with the highest ROIs: https://icowatchlist.com/finished/best-returns

Here are the ones with the most crapy ROIs: https://icowatchlist.com/finished/worst-returns

So basically, you can either lose almost all your money or multiply it x1000.... it's not very symmetrical.

That's why it's best to only invest what you can afford to lose but also be a little adventurous - some people made really nice returns with ICOs.

Good luck!

It really isn't symmetrical. The odds are currently in favour of profits... But who knows how much is hype and how much is value.

Now we can see that your prediction was not right BTC reached 10k$
Maybe BCash is just taking a short break to give us false hope?
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ignore this Alt Speculation sub-forum until bitcoin price stabilises? on: November 29, 2017, 12:55:22 PM
I think what is happening now is just market sentiment, people are still not confidence hold Altcoins when Bitcoin is rally, when Altcoins rally they call it bubble but it is not so with BTC which is a concern to me
What do you mean? A lot of people have been calling Bitcoin a bubble for as long as it has existed.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: November 24, 2017, 09:00:28 PM
That's giving *BCash too much credit. Although the BCash CEOs seem like they would be into that.

Is there a CEO in the Bitcoin Cash?
Yes there is. Which is quite funny considering they pretend to be "decentralized".
There's even a "letter from the CEO of BCash" floating around on their website.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex getting attacked? (DDOS & FUD) on: November 24, 2017, 08:45:37 PM
Didn't Bittrex have a history of locking accounts quite frequently and taking forever to respond to queries?

I don't really use them and when I do I've never had problems, but that's the impression that I got of them.

119  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin ever be safe for any investment ? on: November 23, 2017, 11:20:28 PM
At present situation government actually not so much concern about such kind of currency for that  reason people are not so much interested for using this currency. it is now use as a electronic currency though computerized system.
in terms of purchase and sales bit coin holder's are safe but the  lack of proper monitoring system by implementing different protocols client are demotivated for using this currency on investment projects.Every country's government should established a policy for securing those client who are holder of bitcoin like an cash or deposit account holders and this types of policy help to motivated bitcoin holders for investing different sector for establishing new entrepreneur in order to development of economical condition.

I think you need to define safe before continuing answering this question. I think that bitcoin will be "safe" at some point in the sense it will stop having -10%, +10% days so that you can actually put a huge amount down

and gain or lose a little. However I think it will take at least 5 years to get to this point so it wont be for some time before bitcoin is deemed safe.
What I believe is that bitcoin is the safest currency right now not only among digital currencies but also among paper money. If don’t know what makes people doubt bitcoin when it is trusted by even millionaires. There is no single people I have seen on this forum who is against bitcoin and the reason is simple that bitcoin is continuously increasing in value. No one is going to believe that bitcoin is unsafe in any way.
Of course you won't find someone who's against Bitcoin on a Bitcoin forum.

On the other hand, Bitcoin is still very young and most people don't know anything about it, which is why they don't trust it.

The same was true with the internet and it took decades to take off into the mainstream, even though its utility was obvious to early adopters.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here lives on crypto currency daily? on: November 23, 2017, 11:14:54 PM
