The old "Arabic trick"? Arabic is just a human language, there's nothing special to it and is far from untranslatable. Actually it didn't even exist by the time of Muhammad, was invented by the VIII Century some 100 years after Muhammad's death.

If Islam wasn't so violent, and so violent even within itself, it would had prevail by now. But the truth is Islam has nothing to offer to the World, it's stuck at VII Century, way outdated and will just keep causing conflicts as long as it exist.

I'm not saying however Islam is the only cause of conflicts, or that by eliminating Islam we will eliminate war and fights. But at least we would get rid of one of its sources.

About that quote, it's a nice example of how incoherent Islam is:

So... where do we stand? It says two completely different things. And to make it worse, the Quran isn't write in a chronological order, so there's no way to tell which of these 2 verses is newer and therefore which of them prevail over the other.
The usual is to apply the "Muhammad's way", that is, make the rules as you go and use one or other as convenience.

It makes me a bit confused still how come that Muslims insist so much on Sharia. Sharia makes or will, for those who are lucky enough to not live under it, their life even more miserable than what it already is but they keep pushing for it.

History and Legends are different subjects. Unlike most religions where someone claims someone else was talking to God, Muhammad is the only one who was bold enough to say "I'm talking to God".

Still, Islam is one of the biggest "WTF!" moments in History!
To sum it up it goes around one illiterate guy - who never knew how to read btw - claiming to be talking to an angel and instead of a natural reaction like "Are you stupid or on drugs?" you get a Monty Python sketch of "No way! For real? You talk to God? How cool!"

I'd also been to majority muslim countries and wasn't harrassed or anything like it. But there's a huge difference between "been to" and "live at". Makes me sad to know some people is being forced to live at the VII century just because some schizophrenic decided to made up he was talking to God back then.
