I didn't sell any of the coin because it of the nature of the event. But still will expect from the core to audit the code to make sure there is no vulnerability in remaining code anymore. This was shocking the way this flaw left on the withdraw side to validate the amount. This project came out as good alternative of many coins and it should be strong enough to avoid such incidents in future.
Correct yourself, this was a problem with Bitgrail's bad code, not Nano. |

Currently it's a very hard time for Masari. Buying support is very thin. May be people just don't want to invest in a "just" Monero testnet project?
At this point is more of a "this seems like a good concept, I'll get some coins and at the same time this supports the developer indirectly by giving the coin some volume." It was mentioned before, it's completely experimental. |

Masari is an experimental coin with its goals not intended to compete with Monero, as they don't really overlap in objectives.
Masari's most recent improvement however does overlap, and surfaced exactly because of adversarial market effects on Masari's existence and not due to randomly fiddling with a testnet, seen in the pull request above, replacing an inefficient difficulty algorithm implementation in Monero.
The purpose of Masari is for on-chain scalability initiatives that have not been delved into in the CryptoNote space, starting with uncle mining using a variant of the DECOR+ protocol, followed by research into sharding/partitioning potential of the transaction outputs into a "blocktree" structure (pending a whitepaper draft and peer review).
Although there will likely be more upstream contributions (bug fixes, minor features, etc.), these goals differ greatly from Monero's as its team pursues 2nd layer solutions. I'm not one to say that on-chain scalability is a better pursuit, nor whether or not 2nd layer solutions are the best, and we're seeing new innovations coming out all the time that may take market dominance in the future (i.e. blockchain alternatives like Hashgraph, Raiblocks, IOTA, etc., ignoring decentralization concerns.).
I'd like to re-iterate that this is an experimental coin, with value outside of just being a local testnet, and for all intensive purposes is not necessarily intended to be one for you to invest in - there is little to no marketing here outside of organic community growth.

It seems to me that it would be much safer for anonymous users to ultimately use a succesful on-chain scalability solution than a 2nd layer solution like Monero is trying to do. I mention this because of the recent discovery that those who try to stay anonymous with Bitcoin while using Lightning with a tumbler might actually expose themselves publicly. If Masari is succesful, I can see it becoming a big competitor to Monero. If I am getting the wrong idea, please correct me. P.S. Might want to also explain what Masari means, at the moment I keep relating it to Mass Effect's Asari alien race. |

A rating of C is not bad like in school grades and actually indicates to hold that investment. You mean the way they gave AAA ratings to subprime mortgages right before the great USA recession of 2008? C+ is better than C (I'm talking about the results, not the programming languages  ) ? If it is, then our position (amongst other cryptocurrencies) is really not bad. On the other hand, I don't think this report will pay too much attention at all and thus this will not have some crucial impact due to price level/trading volume. I think this is all bilge put together by grabby chancers but it is now a thing and it's probably not going away. There are also enough creeps and benders out there who will put some faith in it. I'm now interested to see what it takes for a coin to move up a grade. Yeah seems like it’s already impacting price. Crypto is dumb sometimes. I’m still finding the recent price action to be rather worrying. Ask the publisher what the concept is behind each coin and how it will interface with the tech being developed for the coins, you will get an "I don't know" They are trying to treat crypto like stock, crypto currency is not stock. |

Why alot of people are talking shit here and are promoting THC, CANN and DOPE? Because you are afraid to loose your investment on these 3 coins, so you want other people be afraid of the POT market to join in the other coins. However, look at DOPE and CANN, they are in red of the 50% after the pump of yesterday when POT coin has a bigger support also on high prices, it lost only a little part of the pump, lost the 25%, that is more healty for a coin, and show that here, and in THC there are no manipulations on the price, or even, not so big manipulation as DOPE and CANN that are really shit coins.

I have tried with the repo available but have not been able to compile wallet.
You can either follow the PDF guide, video guide, or there is also a script in the #how-to-links channel of Discord which will compile the wallet for you. The problem is I don't want to set up a masternode. I am trying to set up a GUI wallet in a Linux environment but the Github download is missing a lot of files when it comes to compiling the wallet. Maybe devs can upload a compiled Crave QT like they have for the other versions. Updated the script available on discord (#how-to-links) to allow a GUI install. Tested on ubuntu 16.04 LTS Drag the script somewhere : chmod +x crave-install.sh
