101  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Interest check: original-owner Casascius coins on: June 18, 2016, 12:27:14 AM
What type?

2013 1 BTC Silver, 1Ag1 series, roll 1Ag1-C (third roll ever funded). PGP docs and signed PDFs from Casascius. Ungraded but never touched; other sellers can vouch for the quality of my coins and my unwillingness to give those ANACS scammers any money.

You can assume the coin is in tip-top shape; photos can be provided privately to anyone who's seriously interested.
102  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Tips from people with Cascasious coins on: June 18, 2016, 12:24:33 AM
We are meeting at a police station to exchange cash and coins (her brother is a cop).

I lol'd.

At the risk of being dismayed by your answer, approximately what volume of cash/BTC are we talking about here?
103  Economy / Collectibles / Interest check: original-owner Casascius coins on: June 18, 2016, 12:21:27 AM
Just like the title says. Just like my signature says. Anyone interested in being the second owner of a 1 BTC Silver Casascius coin? Don't think there's many others still with their original owners.
104  Economy / Collectibles / Re: What happened to Casascius premiums...? on: June 14, 2016, 01:00:26 PM
buy ungraded coin, ANACS is a joke

Preach. Remember the MS70 dime with a dent in it?

I've still got two 1BTC Silvers, 1Ag1, first-owner, PGP docs; won't be selling them until I have a grey beard that reaches my knees. Cool

Good news: all posters shipped to germany arrived in Hamburg.
Bad news: DHL package center Hamburg is an effing bermuda triangle.

But let's wait and see. Glad there was a shipping update yesterday Smiley

Sadly, the entire Atlantic Ocean is a Bermuda Triangle for tracking packages.

If you take a look at a map of Canada, you'll find St. John's on the very, very eastern edge of the island of Newfoundland. Roughly 2,000km to the west, near the Great Lakes, is Montreal.

International packages sent from St. John's must first travel to Montreal, THEN they're sent overseas from there.

Wildly inefficient system, and now you know why shipping costs so much Wink

(Anyone who has received a "tube" / rolled poster is welcome to share a photo of the postage -- I lost HUNDREDS of $$ underestimating the cost of rolled shipping)

One of the reasons I like silkscreen so much is that I can use INTENSELY vibrant ink colours. Not possible with digital prints Smiley
107  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [81/83] "What is Bitcoin?" silkscreened posters [UPDATED DESIGN FOR 2016] on: May 07, 2016, 09:19:28 AM
Sorry guys, all the packages were awkward sizes, and it's prohibitively expensive to mail a large package via express. All of the rolled posters ended up costing me 2x what I charged for shipping.

Packages are all on the way, I don't have any more info beyond what Canada Post says, your packages will eventually arrive, and any that don't arrive will receive a 100% refund. Patience Wink

30 posters were purchased yesterday by a bulk reseller. I believe i have just two posters remaining, probably #82 and #83. If anyone would like to purchase these specific numbers, please let me know. I'll likely only ship within North America. Please see IOTUSA or minerjones for all other purchase enquiries.

Thanks again for helping support a small print shop, maybe I'll see you all again next spring Smiley

The private key QR code is printed on glossy plastic too, so you could probably soak these in a solvent bath to remove the holo. Lotta work for $0.50 tho.
110  Other / Archival / Re: . on: May 04, 2016, 10:01:06 PM
BUT.... They can be sent indirectly, as a gift!! Cheesy

I was specifically asked not to sell mine Smiley

What numbers did everyone else get? Mine were sequential around the range pictured above, 9625-9628.
111  Other / Archival / Re: . on: May 04, 2016, 04:57:41 PM
Yeah, I just emailed them.

There's a free 0.001 BTC up for grabs here if anyone's quick:

Honestly, the only bummer so far is that the vending machine only accepts weird tokens. Probably easy enough to get it modded to accept local currency.
113  Other / Archival / Re: . on: May 04, 2016, 11:57:55 AM
I requested pricing information for 1000 custom coins and they offered to send me some samples.

Judging by who has received them and who hasn't, I suspect the makers are only sending promo coins to "known collectors" -- but I could be wrong.

I didn't even ask for any samples; they just asked me for my mailing address Smiley

EDIT: finally reached legendary status  Shocked

received  tracking number.
Expected delivery: Europe — 1-2 months  Shocked

Does Canada Post use water snails for transit??? Roll Eyes

Doh! Didn't see this thread. Received a few of these a while ago. Super neat.

Hi folks, sorry, our provincial government released a brutal austerity budget two weeks ago and there's been a flurry of protests since that's happened -- been really busy pumping out propaganda and rallying folks. Over 2,000 leaflets & posters distributed, with rallies doubling in size each week  Shocked

Indianacoin and IOTUSA, please PM me with a BTC address and I'll return the cost of your posters to you, with my sincerest apologies for the delays in shipping. They're finally on the way Smiley

Others who are still waiting on posters, please PM me (again! sorry..) and I'll sort out your tracking numbers. I still have all the slips here. Some of the packages in last year's batch took several weeks to arrive; I think only a single one was actually permanently lost in transit.

I'm much too busy right now between running my business and doing activism work / opposing the new budget, so at this point I will probably halt all retail sales of these posters and turn it over to other distributors. I believe MinerJones has shown an interest in reselling.

Links about our government's insane decisions (book tax, closing most libraries, huge gas tax, regressive taxes that hurt the poor, dismantling healthcare and education, etc) and the public reaction, with photographs of me if you know who to look for Sad

Thanks everyone for your support so far and please don't hesitate to PM me with any questions or concerns. Just too much happening at this moment to keep much of an online presence at the moment. Cheers.

All orders have been received and all remaining packages will be sent out tomorrow. If you're still waiting for a tracking number, please PM me again to remind me, as packages seem to have started arriving.

Just realized that I still haven't posted photos of the completed poster, thanks minerjones Wink

Busy busy times, I'll get to the photos when I get to 'em, otherwise feast your eyes on the above Smiley

Stay tuned for news on an interesting promo another user is running, and you'll also be pleased to hear that a deadbeat who wanted 5 posters didn't pay, so there are still 32 left to grab.

I'm currently accepting wholesale buys (10+ units) to help clear out the remaining stock.

Cheers!

Paid for a poster. https://blockchain.info/tx/80f5da1cf2a2f09c334ef50d7d4daf0772537f5bfdfa6d61e0d0d4a0ac91b8e1
Hoping to get my hands on this one. Grin

Btw, am I supposed to preserve it with 14-layers intact? I mean 14 layers make up to a single poster giving it a 3D appearance, right? I know I sound ignorant but I have never dealt with multi-layered silk-screened poster before. Tongue

Got it, thanks!

You will be able to feel the texture of the different layers of ink. It's not like a 3D sculpture or anything, but there is a small amount of depth to the ink. Try rubbing your (clean) hands over it when it arrives Smiley

Is it possible for you to provide tracking numbers? Asked this via PM already but maybe it has been overlooked Wink

Yes, sorry. It will take me some time to sort through the piles of receipts from the post office Smiley
