Hope this isn't a scam -- I've done some business with BlackLilac in the past and didn't have any problems with him. That said, I do have a residential address associated with him, so if anyone wishes to pursue legal action, I'd be willing to provide you with my contact information. I won't give out his address to private individuals (sorry!), but I am willing to provide it to law enforcement so that they can track this guy down. Here's to hoping you folks get tracking numbers or refunds. Mail fraud is serious stuff, the RCMP hates it

(10) 2013 1 BTC Silver series-3 hologram - 2 BTC
Are those the gold and silver? UberBills says that the one you pictured is. If so, I'll take one. UberBills is incorrectly identifying *ALL* 1 BTC silvers as being gold-plated. These ones are silver-only, first-funded batch.

would you entertain a (local?) trade:
MY 1oz Silver w/ gold accents 1BTC 2013 coin (only 700 made) for YOUR 2x 0.5BTC silvers with the 2nd gen hologram.
I am located in downtown Toronto, just west of Lansdowne. Shipping (Xpresspost) is fine too.
alternatively, I would entertain 1 of the 0.5BTC silvers and 1 of the 0.5BTC brass
I'd be willing to trade a 0.5 brass and a series-3 0.5 silver (I only have one) for your 1 BTC silver+gold, but not a series-2 0.5 silver -- they're much too rare for that trade For reference, the lowest and highest prices I've gotten for the series-2 0.5 silvers are 1.5 BTC (first sale) and 5.5 BTC (most recent sale), respectively. Feel free to counter, though

These coins are hard to take pictures of. 1 BTC silvers are all from the first-funded batch, so they have the desirable 1Ag1 prefix: 0.5 BTC silvers are the very rare ones with the series 2 hologram. There were only 45 of these ever made. Unlike the series 3 silvers, these ones don't follow a numbering scheme beyond "1Ag" (note in the picture below, there's a 1Agv and a 1Ag8). If you'd prefer a capital/lower-case letter or a number after the 1Ag, I can try to entertain specific requests. I neglected to take a picture of the brass coins, but they've never been touched bare-handed. Several of them are in these cardboard-and-plastic holders pictured below, and others are just loose (but will be shipped in acid-free cotton paper pouches).

Hey folks, thanks for the interest. I'll take some pictures later today; the coins are in a safety deposit box at the bank.
I'll accept escrow from trusted providers, at the buyer's expense. For purchasers of the silver coins, I have a pgp-signed document from Casascius stating that I'm the original owner; I can sign a similar document for buyers in order to extend the chain of custody to you.

I've got some Casascius coins that I'd like to sell.
(10 7 3 1) 2013 1 BTC Silver series-3 hologram (1Ag1) - 2.75 BTC
(1) 2013 1 BTC Silver+Gold series-3 hologram - 2.25 BTC (20 19) 2013 0.5 BTC Brass series-2 hologram - 0.9 BTC ( 4 3 2) 2013 0.5 BTC Silver series-2 hologram (only 45 made) - 7.5 BTC
(2) 2013 1 BTC Brass series-3 hologram - 1.5 BTC (1) 2011 1 BTC Brass series-1 hologram - 4.5 BTC
Prices are negotiable if you purchase more than one coin! The silver coins come in air-tite cases; the brass coins will be wrapped in 100% cotton acid-free art paper.
Shipping from Canada. I've sold coins on the forums here before, and my packaging is very secure and discreet. All customs forms list contents as "collectible token" with a stated value / insurance coverage of your choice.

This is indeed the rarest Casascius round that you can buy in public. Check the strike numbers here: http://casascius.uberbills.comThat being said, there's only so much of a premium you can add to 1 Ag oz before it gets absurd. *cough* The rarest Casascius round that you can buy in public is a 2013 0.5 silver with a series 2 hologram; there are only 45. That said, Anduck is correct in that you can't really find these coins for sale, so it's a seller's market. Time will tell whether the market feels his asking price is appropriate, but go ahead and try to find a better price on this coin, and let us know what you find

Your unbridled optimism would be refreshing if there was any sort of basis for it. Price at all-time low, still no dividends in sight, virtex still hauling in money hand-over-fist. They've probably collected around 2,000 BTC in fees in the past six months alone. These shares are severely undervalued
At this point, the only thing that's severely undervalued is the shareholders

Trying to get rich off something not worth even half of that. If there was a way to make a wager against this selling for 5 BTC or more, I would for surely accept that. However, I could not since obviously you could just make a new account and "sell" it to them. Just because something is low numbered or a 1 of 1 doesn't mean its worth 20x its face value. I can show you many "extremely rare" baseball autograph jersey cards that fit this description for example. Your coin and its rarity is worth 2.5-3.5 BTC tops.
My BTC0.02
Hey imardern, thanks for replying! You could always attach some conditions to the wager, I suppose, but the point remains (and is duly noted). One of the problems with low-mintage, high-ticket items like Casascius coins is that the buying market is pretty thin -- it's difficult to get a sense of the true worth of an item when it's out of reach of the majority of interested buyers. I will note that I have sold one of these coins for more than the range you suggest, although just one! While I haven't yet had any bites at 10 BTC, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to prices long-term. I'm in no urgent rush to sell these, so stay tuned, I guess, and we'll hopefully figure out what people are willing to pay for these

...personally enriched...
Seriously, the entitlement...
Dude, he is cool...
Fair enough. Just that line about "personally enriching" you sent me off. Apologies...
Just wanted to take a moment to clear the air before I stop cluttering up this thread (and before more people start thinking I'm a boorish cad). - Mike has delivered above and beyond on his promise to provide signed documents, as he in fact followed up with a second set of signed documents after another method of digital signing was made available to him. This was mentioned in another thread, but not here, and I apologize for not following up here after my issue was resolved.
- I really do like my coins, they're beautiful and I don't regret buying them.
- I paid a premium (above the btc+silver cost) of roughly $70 per coin. Sure, minting coins isn't free, but even at a $20 per coin minting fee (this is crazy), that's a $50 profit per coin. That equals $1600 or 16 BTC at the time of purchase. I can't imagine that Mike cashes out all of these profits to USD. I apologize if my choice of words offended you, but I was simply calling a spade a spade. I was entitled to precisely what was offered, which was a set of documents.
- This bears repeating -- I don't begrudge Mike the premium he charged on his coins. I really do like my coins, they're beautiful and I don't regret buying them.
- Apology accepted, if indeed it was directed towards me.
As for a legal fund, the well-deserved thanks can go to those who have bought my coins. I believe I am decently equipped to engage in a constructive effort.
In retrospect, I suppose I was personally enriching his *legal fund* to the tune of several thousand dollars. I, like many others, will be eagerly awaiting news of developments in this witch-hunt, and sincerely hope that Mike gets through this intact.
