101  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 10, 2024, 08:08:42 AM
Money can never be wealth
Because money is controlled by the government and the value of money keeps decreasing
Money is never wealth but knowledge skill and ability to achieve something properly healthy body and happy beautiful mind is the real wealth.

Which has never been done with money and will not be done in the future.

Money is just a piece of thing that may leads into wealth. There's a lot of things that we might consider as wealth and it's not all about having a money. Sometimes, people think that just because you have a money, you are wealthy but that's not true because there's no perfect in this world, you may have your money ,investments and everything that other people wish to have but you are lack in some thing as well that money can't buy. and that's the reality, that's how life balance is.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be wealthy you need action on: May 10, 2024, 07:42:56 AM
Index investing and DCA is the best that the majority of people can do to become more wealthy. But this only works if you have big enough income
I disagree. You can still do dca method even if you do not have that huge amount of income. The idea that you cannot invest unless you are wealthy is just wrong.

If you know how to manage your finances well and you are able to save some of your income to direct to great investments then surely it is possible. If you manage to invest even in small increments but regularly then you can see some profit already after quite some time. Though of yourself you have to be careful with your money.

That's true! There are many investors here who are not really rich, but because of the strategies they do to invest, they earn extra income and sometimes the investment they earn is even bigger compared to their monthly salary. It's not enough reason to lose hope or be discouraged just because we're not rich, everything today requires hard work and we need to be strategic to rise in life. if you really want to save or earn a large amount of money, you must also know how to appreciate or properly handle the money that comes into you, because sometimes when we are overwhelmed by what we earn, we don't realize that we are already spending our money on things that are not that important. Discipline is the key.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recommended slot game provider for newbie on: May 10, 2024, 06:24:55 AM
If you are looking for a beginners slot games, I will recommend Blackjack, Roulette, dice, video poker, Slots, baccarat, crash and plinko. I have played Roulette, crash, plink and dice and I can say it's a game you can make some profit with. For the other games, I have not but it have been recommended by someone before now. Stake.com offers a handle full of these games.

Agree, this is one of the most played slot games for beginners especially the blackjack since it's easy to learn and very accessible but even if it is beginner friendly, y'all should aware of the consequences once you didn't handle well your gambling time and spending activity. if they want to learn more about it, they can research it on the internet or they can watch live streaming for that particular slot games so they will gain ideas and strategy.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: May 10, 2024, 03:16:16 AM
Hey house someone need a few clips here, don't know if a post of this exact nature has been discussed though.

In a situation where the both spouse are gamblers. Husband gambles, wife gambles, how can both of them manage the situation in terms of finance and the family affairs especially when children are now involve so that the time both spends on gambling doesn't affect family moments and affairs in general.

Would it help if  one of the couple quit for the other and if that's the case who should quit for who.

Smiles, seems like a job lol. If quitting is an option both short quit as gambling isn’t a means of income or survival. The family solely depends on both and if both gambles without limitation wether one or the other the family will still get wreck. The Husband might use the money meant for household needs to gamble likewise the wife using money for cooking or purchasing items, shopping for children to gamble too.
This could only happen when the person in question lacks self control, as well as the ability to get hold of their emotions, because if a gambler is in control of their emotions, it'll be very difficult to use money meant to sort another expense to gamble and hope to winning and replacing it.

Such a person would know that gambling isn't sure and anything can happening the missile of the game,  winning isn't certain and the potential of losses are very much there.

we really need to be able to handle our own emotions because once you fall on what you feel, the barrier that you have created may be broken so that your own decision, financial securities and sound thinking are not affected because we know that one wrong move can lose everything. When we gamble, we always set aside other issues because we are only focused on our goal and it cannot be accompanied by other issues because it will be a reason for us to lose focus on gambling and lose.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peoples expectations about casinos free spins on: May 09, 2024, 09:06:31 PM
What do you guys think that free spins are supposed to be like?

Have you ever used free spin to make money? At least a noticeable amount and withdraw it?

If you are running a new online casino will you feel good to give money away for free through free spins?

Here is my own believe, I hardly believe in free spins, because even if it turns out fine it's free money, and free money without breaking a sweat feels wrong with me, I believe this path is for the greedy people.

Free spins are not supposed to enrich you, take them as a demo to see how the online casino feels like.

What about you ? How do you feel about about free spins?

free spin is one of the common ways of a casino to promote their own business, usually you will win in free spin just like what others called "beginners luck" and if that happens, what will you do? of course you will tell this to other people you know or to other people about the free spin, in this way you can share with other people about the good reviews of a casino, it is like a verbal advertisement because it comes from those who have experienced the free spin and that's the target of the casinos why they give different perks because that way the clients and users that enter them increase.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the main points of gambling? on: May 09, 2024, 08:45:02 PM
Gambling thus requires three elements to be present: consideration
(an amount wagered), risk (chance), and a prize.

I noticed that people now don't actually know their main points of them gambling, some people gamble to earn daily and some people just gamble cause they saw their friends won in gambling. That's how they develop their gambling lifestyle and from their they get addicted to it. I've over heard people complaining about them losses, for me I think they don't know the main points of gambling. What do you think about this people losses much? Does it mean they don't know the main points of gambling?
Do any of us still think about what the main points of gambling are? it's like it's gone now most of the time if you ask the participants what is the reason why they gamble, the only answer they will give you is to earn money or to have fun with friends, that's how the reasoning of the participants revolves gamblers and even the beginners, they focus more on the thought that "I will make a lot of money in gambling"
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 09, 2024, 10:36:46 AM
I have noticed couple of times, that people suggest to spend 1% of monthly salary on gambling. Even though online gambling allows to make ridiculously small bets, wont 1% of monthly salary be to little to get the taste of gambling, if OP plans to gamble during whole month? I am saying that we dont know much about his motives. If it just a wish to gamble, or wish to have fun, or earn. 1% will be enough to gamble once per month and have fun. Based on the amount of salary, 1% out of 100% is really nothing. Even if OP gets lucky and wins, will that amount really satisfy him?

You are right, we are not sure how the set up will be done by OP? Is it daily gambling or once a month? because if 1% of the monthly salary is used daily for 30 days, the OP will end up spending a lot more because when you save that, it's like 30% of the monthly salary will be the total expense, maybe we'll just depend on the gambling set up how much or what percentage is possible for us to suggest to him.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 10:31:29 AM
It would be better to look for medical school fees from other source that is not gambling. I am wondering how medical school can be very costly like that. But you did not state the exactly school fees but your target.

If you want to use 0.05 BTC to win 1.7 BTC, you need 34 odds. That is very difficult to achieve. The chance that you will get that is small but the chance that to will lose the money is very high.

I agree, it would be better if you get something else for your medical school bills instead of gambling. I'm not against what you do, but this is risky, we're not sure if your bet will win or not, it's better to have a back up plan just in case the thing we expect doesn't happen.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 08, 2024, 08:59:53 PM
Turning a hobby into a business sounds so fun! But I bet it has its challenges too.  What did you do for fun that you managed to monetize? I wanna hear all about how you went from hobbyist to entrepreneur!

Tell me, what struggles popped up as you worked to turn your passion into a profit? How did you push past them? Got any pro tips you can share to help other hobby lovers try to make it big? I love hearing stories of folks who bet on themselves and won.

I have a full time job and at the same time, I'm doing some commission based work, If you guys know how affiliates works on the black app? Since I really love taking video and doing online shopping, I decided to try doing affiliates by making a video and doing a reviews in every product that I purchased and tadah! It really works, I didn't earn that much when I was just starting until now because my followers weren't that big so the engagement was low but it's a good feeling that someone buys in my product basket even if I only earn 5-12% commission per product, what's more those videos with trending views and producsts, for sure they will earn a lot, It's just funny because even though the income is small, I enjoy what I do because the only investment I have is a cellphone and internet.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: May 08, 2024, 08:17:01 PM
In order to maintain a good standard of living in retirement you need to take care of this in advance. I don't have a financial advisor, but common sense tells me to put money aside so I can use it in the future. I cannot trust the state and I want to take care of my own well-being. Now there is no better way to save your money than investing. There are many ways to invest money in a profitable business and ensure a normal life in old age

Did you know? Even though I don't have a financial advisor, it's not that I don't have trust, but from what I know now from other people, what they experienced with their advisors, I don't like it, you're just important to them because their insurance sales depend on you, but once you've secured the, you can't approach them when you have questions, you're abandoned. Anyways, it's better that way mate, you know where you should and must put your money even if you don't ask anyone because it's your own money, you decide how to grow it and keep it.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: May 08, 2024, 11:33:08 AM
It wouldn't always be about the money, there are other things that would be affected on our addictions.
The most affected ones would always be their family, they wouldn't just feel the financial problem, but also the gamblers negativity (violence and presence of the gambler).
They would spend less time for their family, and if they would most of the time they would be thinking about gambling.

the thing that really affects us the most when we reach the point of becoming a gambling addict is our family, that's true because whatever problems you're experiencing in your current situation are also their problems, it even becomes a reason for the trauma of one of the family members because an addict sometimes is not really aware of the things that are done or said,  they can hurt others through verbal words, why do I know? because I also have a relative who ended up being a gambling addict, I see their situation and really the most affected are those children because I notice that they are gradually becoming more distant from their parents, causing their family to be destroyed forever.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Legality and Myth of Card Counting in Blackjack on: May 08, 2024, 11:03:26 AM
If for instance card counting is legal in the UK but outlawed by casinos doesn't it makes it illegal?
Not sure how laws works in the UK but a lot of casinos are privately owned establishment, they can have their own rules and they can kick you out or ban you from their establishment if they want to.

If you are curious if there have been people kicked out for card counting there videos on YouTube that you can probably watch.

Casinos usually have their own rules and regulations and you have to follow them strictly or else, you will be sanctioned and they can ban you from their casino, the owners often know each other and have connections to different casinos and they can call it out and ban you from entering if you do something wrong or violate their rules. Anyways, it is not that easy to do or study card counting, you will need intense training experiences or skills and that is why it is prohibited because when you know how to do it, there are the possible chances of winnings that you will get.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you disguise on your real gambling lifestyle just to help a friend/relative? on: May 08, 2024, 10:34:15 AM
I beg a pardon if a thread like this has existed here.

I have been around my gambling friends and I have always acted to be 100% sticking to my gambling budgets such as how many times, a specific time and how much to spend on my gambling.
Once awhile I actually breaks that budget but though it does not affect my daily life and my bankrolls.
I literally claim this righteousness on my friends who are running out of their emotional control from gambling and psychologically I expects them to have me as an example whom they should emulate from in other to be recalled and take back control of their emotions while gambling.

Does any of you guys have any negative side of gambling habit in you which literally you advices anyone not to exhibit it?
Or can you afford to hide your real disreputable gambling life just to help an astray gambling friend or relative?

you give good advice and comfort them by giving examples from your own experience but you yourself can't apply the things you tell them to yourself, you just pretend that you are in a good state when you face them but deep inside you are facing problems and you are not always okay. I've never experienced what you did but the only advice I can give to you OP, maybe it's better not to give advice to other people even if you improve your self image in their eyes, it's better to choose and help yourself first before other people.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: May 08, 2024, 10:11:12 AM
As a member of a family and there is a gambling addict within, which method do you think it's the best to rip off the addict from your family member?

1. Talk to them and don't leave their side for too long, show them some love and make sure they don't have anything to do with gambling ever again, be soft and gentle with them.
Sometimes they way you guys describe a gambling addict, it looks like someone who is psychologically isane that need a psychiatrist or a sick patient that needs a doctor. All this idea propounded here looks pretty like someone who needs medical attention or a case that need people around you as if something tremendous has happen to the person. An addict just need an advice on how to control his emotions on Gambling habit, not some sort of pampering him like a sick person. We should be able to differentiate between a sick person and a gambling addict.

Fyi, there's a different level of addiction, if it is easy to cure them by giving advice, maybe there is no addict in the world, but it is not that easy especially if the person has reached the worst case level of addiction, they can no longer be taught or cured only through counseling because the only thing that can help them is the guidance of the family and intensive observation from medical experts. Maybe you will understand better what the purpose of psychiatrists or psychologists in the world is when you have encountered an acquaintance or relative who ended up being addicted.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: May 08, 2024, 09:52:28 AM
A gambler must always know when to draw the line even in the middle of a winning streak as much as it's also important to know when to draw the line in the middle of a losing spree.
A lot of people of who loses more often in gambling are mostly those who do not know when to take a break, it's not as if they don't win more often, they do but for somewhat reason, they still gamble away their wins with hopes of winning more, and after they've lost their wins for the day, some go home with nothing but regrets, while some decide to chase the loses, I believe we already know how the both stories would end.
The step we need to take is to stop no matter how much we want to win big. We still can't be greedy. Sometimes being greedy can result in bad luck in the end because you lose everything, know that winning big is very difficult to get. So we have to accept whatever wins we get without we need to chase more, as well as losses, we must not chase losses too much, we must be able to control our thoughts so that we don't get too involved in gambling and we must know when to stop gambling and rest, the more you experience big losses, the more restless your mind will be. So before the losses get bigger, it's better to stop immediately and take a break.

We can do it again tomorrow with a calmer mind and we shouldn't think about defeats before, let alone try to chase them because that will make a person uncontrollable and someone can lead to gambling addiction, someone who experiences defeat is indeed disappointed in his heart but this doesn't mean that disappointment can control our minds and be careless when gambling, so we have to accept that if we lose, that's the risk.

We know that when a person is too addicted to gambling, it is difficult for them to stop it, even if our advice to them is temporary, it is really difficult because they are at a stage where they can no longer fight or control it. when they think, all they want to do is to recover their losses or even if they lose, as long as gambling satisfies what they are looking to do, but if the person you are giving advice to is not that bad, we can still save them and be away from the possible outcome if they continue gambling without limits being followed.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: May 08, 2024, 09:08:45 AM
        -     Maybe the only thing we can really do for beginners is to remind them that if they are entering a casino gambling platform, they should first learn to read the rules of the casino.

And don't train them to be greedy when gambling because this is usually what causes the gambler to develop an addiction later or later. I just hope they don't become too stubborn.

As a gambler they should know their basis and, before they stepped into casino house or gambling site they should be away of these things. Is just like someone who is wanting to drive without knowing the rules, its looks crazy so they should learn to control their emotion and avoid gambling excessively without having limits for themselves. Most times what gets most people into addiction is being too greedy, and wanting to break a particular records.

being aware of what we are getting into is important but not really something easy to do at all times
sometimes it's more about learning as you go
with gambling the most important thing is awareness of your emotions, bankroll management and knowing when to stop but some people have a way harder time to control themselves...

On point mate! sometimes it's easy to be said than done so much better to focus on our own, on how to handle our emotions like how will we react if something bad happens to us during gambling session, How often we spend money in our gambling activity and mostly how often or how much time we devote to gambling rather than prioritizing more important things. everything I mentioned we must be aware of so that we do not end up addicted to gambling. It is difficult and challenging to avoid it, but there are a few people who know how long they have been gambling, they manage themselves and never lead to addiction.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 08, 2024, 05:01:35 AM
Because nowadays the younger ones take gambling more seriously then school. Yesterday i got back home early so I decided to step out and go to a betting shop to catch some fun while gambling, I saw two teenagers gambling with their school uniforms on them.

I asked someone besides me why did they allow this boy's to come in with their uniforms and gamble, he said did they put any restrictions that younger ones are not allowed to gamble. I said but it's not normal, I replied him what if this are your kids would you be happy seeing them gambling with their uniforms on them. So what do you guys think about this situation at hand now.

Having a restrictions when it comes to gambling is also depends on which country you came from because there are countries that gambling are not allowed not unless you are age 21 and above and we need to accept that but you have a point, minors should not allowed to gamble because it will leads them in more serious problem in the future, we shouldn't normalize or tolerate them in doing it because there's a possibility that they will develop addiction by doing it at very young age.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get your Dad (or Mom) to buy Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2024, 09:14:46 PM
I remember my dad always talking about bitcoin back in the day and how it was gonna be the next big thing. Unfortunately i guess he never actually purchased any lol he just talked about it alot. I was young still so i had no idea how to get any but i tried. I just remember signing up for crypto exchanges and being too young to buy damnit!  Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided

If your dad's mindset was like that then, there is a good chance that you will persuade him to invest in bitcoin because you can see his interest in that matter. if at that time you already have the ability and deep knowledge when it comes to investment, you and your dad are definitely talking about bitcoin investment. it's just sad but it's not too late, you can still help him if he wants to or you'll be the one to continue doing things he didn't do before.
119  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Scam phone call scheme on: May 07, 2024, 08:03:23 PM

120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A person's browser history is a window into their online Identity. on: May 07, 2024, 07:18:29 PM
Firstly, I must commend your effort for sharing the beginning of your journey in Crypto and BTT. Secondly, I can't tell where this post fits, but I suggest you think about taking it to the Beginners and Help board to trigger replies from newbies who keep track of their browsing history.

Also, seeing that you still have all your crypto history on your browser is quite surprising. You should have known that companies sell customer data and even keep it for other reasons. I personally clear my browsing history and even wipe out password related data occasionally. Keeping all history makes searching faster, but don't choose it over privacy.

You have the patience to save and not clean the browser history, for me it's like I clean it annually for a fresh start every year, but if I look or remember the old history on my old phone, it's the same as you, year 2017 at first I started to get interested in bitcoin and I read only articles about btc every time I did research on google. nothing, it's just fun to remember, you also have a point, sometimes we can better recognize what type of person an individual is based on what we can see in their browser history.
