981  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 15, 2023, 12:05:44 PM
For those working for government or an entity, try  to  start a small business and grow it gradually while still doing your 9am- 5pm job.

We might not feel the importance of it until we have been lay off from the job.
I have a question for those working for an entity or government, if you are being sacked today, what will be your faith? Will you still be financially strong, can your other sources of income keeps you going or you will be devastated by the loss of your job.

In this current economy, it's suicidal to have only one source of income.
If you must live well you must be ready to grab the bull by his horn am make life changing decisions by having more than one source of income.
Don't put your financial destiny in the hands of your bosses, you might not know the importance of having your own business till you have been sacked. think about it.

Honestly this post makes me question myself but I already have an answer, Having an 8 hrs job per day is not bad, in fact this is one if the easiest way to earn money by having a fixed monthly income. It is true that we don't have to rely in a 1 source of income because we have no guarantee that it will last for a lifetime and it is possible that something will change in the future so we should always be prepared but let's be real here, finding other source of income is not that easy in terms of time and money and that is one of the common problem to us.

Having your own business requires a lot of time and effort which is somehow might cause a neglegence in your work, unless you're good at time management or your have other people who's willing to support and help you in your business.

983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 15, 2023, 10:57:49 AM
Why spend less? This is the time of the year that there's a lot of spending and you have to buy a lot of gifts for your loved ones so I don't want to spend more on gambling I don't want to face this holiday losing money.

Tell us your opinion.
Aside from the gifts, I don't feel the need to spend more because I couldn't find a lot of good holiday promotions this time. There are still a few decent ones, but they're not good enough compared to the previous years where you can get your money's worth.

It's nice to have a bigger bankroll, but there's no need for it when I could take advantage of the cash prizes I receive from the casino i'm playing at and that's more than enough to save myself from making another deposit.

Wow, That's a great Idea and for me, we don't have to spend more aside from buying gifts and budget for foods this coming holidays, It's better to keep our money and holiday bonuses or invest it to some good investment for our future. we can save a little amount to add it up to our bank roll but that's not my priority right now, what's important for me is to have my hard earned money in my pocket before year ends and by welcoming the new year.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 15, 2023, 10:43:05 AM
~~~
The worst thing a gambler will do is gamble with loan money, which is very risky. Whether you win or lose, gambling with loan money will not favour a gambler, so therefore, I consider those who take loans and gamble as people who have become addicted to gambling, so they are looking for a way to gamble just to derive pleasure. However, I will advise all gamblers to avoid taking loans and gamble, even if they think the game they predict is a sure one that will come and they will get their money back with profit. This is not advisable, and if they continue, it will end in financial losses and the loss of property, so therefore all gamblers should avoid taking loans and gamble.
Casinos are places where rich people have fun by spending a little money regardless of whether they win or lose, but poor people try their luck. The mindset about gambling must be changed so that gamblers don't fall into trouble, of course this is difficult but it will be much more difficult if you never want to change it.
I have seen so many gamblers never feel happy about gambling because of their wrong mindset. They gamble and risk their fate, even forcing themselves to gamble with borrowed money. There is no fun for such gamblers because all they hope for is to win without considering losing.
Having a wrong mindset with leads you to a worst case. this is true that many gamblers went to casino to gamble and have fun especially those rich people but there's also avarage person goes to casino to have fun and the reality of hoping to win big prizes. Changing your mindset will help yourself to prevent some kind of obsession and addiction. One thing that a gambler should avoid is to use loaned money for gambling because it may lead you into bigger problem.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Target your wins in a series of bets on: December 15, 2023, 10:35:43 AM
Such an approach or strategy as shared by the op could really work, but the truth remains that there is absolutely no guarantee of any kind as long as its gambling we are talking about, there are times and days I place up to 20 different bets, and still end up losing all of them, and there are times I win may 4 to 5 out of 20 bets, my joy still is that, I usually don't stake too high.
And talking about placing bets on 5 odds, this is another big risk to be honest, winning a 5 odds bets is highly risky, and to me, there is still a very high Chance that, if one place 10 bets with 5 odds each, he or she may still end up losing all of he or she is unlucky.
In essence, don't treat gambling as a do or die affair in terms making money, be comfortable losing, just as you are happy when you win.
Exactly, mate. There's no guarantee of target winnings when it comes to gambling as we know that it depends to your luck. You can't tell the exact amount to win based on your series of bets. Even if you placed a bet in a different platform, chances to win is still in low level.
Malaking tulong itong post na ito, talagang matutulungan ang mga kapwa natin dito sa forum na makahanap ng other way once dumating na ang final results about binance issue. Idodownload ko nalang muna ang wallet na 'to pero sa ngayon hanggat working pa naman si binance ay susulutin ko muna ang pag gamit sa kanya but make sure lang talaga na may mga naka ready ng wallet na lilipatan.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With gambling, it's probably easier to quit cold turkey on: December 14, 2023, 12:16:33 PM
It's a good idea if someone wants to get rid of their addiction to consult a professional. Usually this psychiatrist will advise whether a person should reduce the intensity of their gambling slowly or cut ties with it immediately.
But I think if a person wants to get away from his gambling addiction there is no other way than to cut ties with it completely. Because if a person decides to end their addiction straight away, and learns to restrain themselves, they will be able to control themselves better in the future. The problem of withdrawal symptoms is normal, you can stop yourself from doing that or, if necessary, take sedatives.
Yup especially now that people are getting addicted in gambling quickly even those young people nowadays are experiencing addiction in playing online casinos, that's why it sounds perfect if a person is aware on what they are experiencing and comes with a solution of getting rid of it. seeking a professional help is more important when it comes to this kind of scenario especially worst cases of addiction. Medication and rehabilitation is one of the best way to exclude yourself in this kind of activity.
989  Economy / Economics / Re: my mum want to make a lot of money, money can fix everything, me hurt not import on: December 14, 2023, 11:26:30 AM
do tell her that health is as important as money you are her child but I’m guessing that she treats you almost like as if you are her employee if the truck has already damage, driving it would just make it worse and would most likely harm you and your business in the long run your mother needs to reevaluate her priorities
Seems like the main priority of OP's mother is money rather than the safety of her child, One way to distinguish a typical Toxic parent just like Human ATM and Retirement plan, Toxic parent's doesn't care how would you feel, they didn't even bother to ask you if it's okay for you to do it, what's important to them is money, more more money to come. if you ask me, they should not wait for something bad to happen to their children before they realize that what they are doing is wrong.
990  Economy / Economics / Re: my mum want to make a lot of money, money can fix everything, me hurt not import on: December 14, 2023, 11:17:08 AM
my mum want to make a lot of money, money can fix everything, me hurt not important.
So the truck is broken, the coolant is leaking the tyres is flatten and it is overloaded and dangerous to maneuver, but mum keep nagging must drive the truck for one last time and make the one last time money, must make a lot of a lot of money, money can fix everything, she said it, must drive the truck, she order me to drive the truck, it is she tell to do, but the one who would drive the truck is not her it is me, she want to make a lot of money but the one who would go and earn that hard earned money is, I need to work for that money not her, how is it even fair? Is it a priviledge? What is up???
That's how money manipulates our mind. Everything includes money that's why it is very important to all of us because we can't live without it and Let's be realistic here. However, based on your interpretation, Seems like your mother doesn't even thinking about the situation and how you will feel, what's important to her is to generate an income even if it cost you harm and damage. give yourself a time and break for now and try to talk with your mother and just say all your thoughts about the way she treated you and how you really feel because sometimes they didn't know that it is too much for you. last thing, just set a limitation to yourself and learn how to refuse sometimes.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A hero or a fool? on: December 14, 2023, 11:04:22 AM
What do you think? This is an insanely move on oneself to stop addiction, something done right? Would you do the same if such is possible in your country?
If you want to really stop an addicttion then you have to take a very stringent step to do that otherwise you will see yourself going back to it from time to time. So if this person has gone to gambling commission of his country to ban himself from gambling it means he is serious about what he wants and that is good.
He is not a fool but would have been a fool if he has kept pretending to himself that he would stop gambling whilst he kept losing on it. Someone who wants to stop an addicttion need to go the mile to achieve it like he has done for himself which is really a step in the appropriate direction and from the information, he has not gambled for the past 10 years and perhaps would have saved more money more than if he was still gambling.
Correct, what he did is something really serious because that person really did an effort to go in his country's Gambling commission just to report himself as gambling addict. In that way, He proves to us that he intentionally wants to get rid his addiction however it's not that easy as it will take a lot of time to become addicted free and it requires professional help too.
992  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 14, 2023, 10:20:19 AM
Yes, Banking is one of the oldest means of savings, apart from money, you can also save your valuable things like gold, diamond, legal land document etc in the bank but you can not save them In cryptocurrency , in aspect of savings you can make use of cryptocurrency like bitcoin, teterer while for your local spending you use banking services
Same here! I'm still using banks, Actually I have multiple savings and credit account in banks because this is one of my essentials in our daily life.
Every transactions using the bank is beneficial for us, just like today's era that all of us are using payment via online bank transfer instead of cash, Even those small businesses, they way they give their employees salary are using debit card transfer instead of cash that's why it's hard to get rid of using the bank especially since everyone is used to it. When it comes to investment, I prefer bitcoin because it will be more worth it when it comes to returns.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need for mental section or public orientation for new gamblers. on: December 14, 2023, 10:08:34 AM
Getting advice from non experts can lead to some harmful circumstances.
If someone comes to the point of being a problem gambler and facing addiction, it's always best to seek accredited help from professionals, join group therapy in a recognized organization etc.
So I don't think it would be a good idea to create such section of the forum. Let alone all the promotion and interests going on here. For problem gsmblers it's best to abstain.
well said! for non experts, It's a little bit diffucult for us to give an advice because we are aware that every people has a different perspective, Challenges and problems and we can't assess that by simply listening to their stories. So, this public orientation idea is much better and helpful once implemented and I hope proffesional advice will be given since some people doesn't have much money for consultation and professional fee.,
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 14, 2023, 09:46:24 AM
Less numbers of women are into gambling and that's because they mostly don't like losing, its easier for women to get rid of gambling than men, it could be different at your end but this is what I have noticed in my own surroundings, they don't like taking too much risks and they also don't like losing, if it happens gradually they find it easy to just quit.
It will be definitely more ugly if a woman gets addicted to gambling, it will be way worse and that's why you need to choose your partner very carefully, and if they just develop the habit after you get together you need to make them quit or turn them into a responsible gambler, I believe I can deal with an addicted gambler as I believe my method always work on them.
I will just make sure you gamble together, you don't have to make them feel that you hate gambling, you just have to play along and expose them to some gambling reality, if done right they will end up opening their eye to the truth behind gambling.
As you've noticed, most of gamblers are men than woman because I believe that woman can give up easily if they have experience losses, you have a point that women can get rid easily the gambling addiction than man but It's not that easy as we think because if a person used to know a thing, there's a possibility they may return to that habit once they have a capability or money if their pockets.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: December 13, 2023, 12:00:30 PM
Referral may seem an easy money for some, but it isn't. It requires willingness and determination to accumulate certain amount before you can successfully withdraw. Most referrals will generate a commission the moment you use their link or their code. The referred person will benefit and the referring will get something too. So it's a win-win situation. But you must have a wide reach of audience and not just a wide one, but an audience that is interested also in gambling so that they could sign up using your referral. It takes time to hit the target amount of commission so patience is really essential. Daily posting of encouragement in signing up will definitely help too.
Yes, it is not easy for most people, especially those who are just starting to get to know the world of the Internet or those who are already familiar with the Internet. They have to find a way that works well and have to go through trials one by one to find it. And it does require will and determination to be able to collect a certain amount so that they can get bonus commissions given by the casino or other sites. They have to keep trying if they still want to get the bonus commission and even though it feels difficult for them, they can still do it. They should focus first on gathering a lot of followers so that when they share their referral link, many of their followers will see it and ultimately be interested in registering via their referral link.
I've tried it before, Referral bonus will cost you a lot of time in exchange of little amount but at least there's a monetary exchange instead of none. Usually those newbie are the target person to participate in this kind of referral bonus activity and sometimes those people who has a lot of viewers and fans like streamers and vloggers, they earn a lot by inviting people to join or participate in the game they offer but for those normal people, it really takes time to earn big like the gainings of those influencers.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 13, 2023, 11:23:28 AM
I know there are bettors here who dream of investing in sports betting and hoping to consistently make money from it.
So, I'd like to ask the following questions:
1. How much bankroll can you afford to start with?
2. With your bankroll, how much expected profit do you anticipate in a year?
3. Will you be content with your profit? If not, have you considered increasing your bankroll, even if you cannot afford it?
Here's my answer on your questions:
1. For this question, I can't say the amount because there's no specific amount. I just use my extra money for sport betting and I do not
place it all at once. I'm just using the amount that I can afford to lose.
2. Honestly, I don't know because I play sports betting for fun if I have spare money and time only. So, I don't expect any profit since I'm using small amount only.
3. I am contented on my budgeted money for gambling and I don't consider increasing my bankroll since my budget is limited only and I'm more focusing in my essentials than my own leisure.
That's all!
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 13, 2023, 10:51:10 AM
Apparently this is a true live event happened in my State this week and almost everyone is talking about it. About a young man that killed himself after a gamble loss, he even left a message for his family and friends before taking his life.  But I wonder why should someone take his own life  just because he lost  #2.5 million to gambling an amount  equivalent to just about $3k. I can relate to his loss but taking your life is something unimaginable and unjustifiable to do. No matter the regrets suicide isn't an option to be taking as a solution , you are only leaving bigger pains  behind for your loved ones.
This is just another reminder to we all gamblers that no bet is sure and guaranteed, don't ever use an amount of money you are not comfortable to lose just because you feel convicted in your mind that the game will play as predicted. There's no such thing as sure bet in gambling.
Question: Is there any amount lost that can make you commit suicide?
If yes, then don't ever use such amount to gamble.
It's sad to know that there is someone who committed suicide because of losing money in gambling. We can't deny the fact that all of us has a different ways on how to deal our problem, but this one is the worst case scenario which I can't imagine that I will do it if I'm in his situation. Stress, depression and lot of problems can lead us to do this kind of thing and it is very alarming, sometimes those people we see laughing and smiling but deep inside, they are carrying unsaid thoughts so it's better to check some of our family members and friends. This is an eye opener to those gambler who doesn't have a control in their spending habit, ya'll should know in your mind that always gamble what we are afford to lose so that we don't have such a big problem in the future.
998  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bitcoin Mixers industry illegal na ba talaga? on: December 13, 2023, 10:31:34 AM
Hindi lang ito ang unang mixers na na seize pero kung merong na close, meron namang bagong mag ooperate, parang recycle lang talaga ang nangyayari. Kinatatakutan ko is baka balang araw wala na talagang mixers na mag exist. Anong say ninyo didto?
Hindi mawawala ang mga mixers kasi mayroon silang malaking market, pero kung sakali na gawing ilegal na talaga lahat ng mga mixers baka sa clearnet lang sila mawala pero sa darknet na lang sila mag exist.
Pero kung makakagawa sila ng paraan na wag sila magamit ng mga money launderers may posibilidad na maging legal na sila at pwede na sila makapag promote dito sa Bitcointalk.
Sa tingin patuloy na mag eexist ang Bicoin mixer maaring di na lang sila maging maingay dito sa clearnet sa darknet na lang sila kasi mas ligtas sila doon.
And hindi naman lingid sa kaalaman natin na meron other side hindi lang ang clear net and yung mga gumagamit ng mixer sa illegal na actibidad patuloy lang silang mag eexist, mahirap lang talagang banggain yung gobyerno pag tinutukan na sila kaya posibleng matuluyan yung pag papasara sa mga ganitong uri ng negosyo unless magawan nila ng paraan yung pagbabawal ng mga illegal na transaksyon na dumaan sa serbisyo nila.
Tignan na lang natin ang itatakda sa mga darating na panahon kung makakasurvive ba sila or tuluyan na silang mawawala at
ipagbabawal na magamit sa usual internet base access ng publiko.
Tama, paniguradong hindi lang dito sa forum nag eexist ang mixer pero hopefully malinis na nila ang mga dapat maiayos lalo na ang usaping illegal activities like money laundering para tuluyan padin silang makapag promote dito sa bitcointalk. Sa ngayon, ang mga member ng mixer campaign ay gumagawa na ng paraan para makahanap ng mallilipatang campaign dahil mas mabuti ng maaga dahil wala pang kasiguraduhan kung ano ang magiging lagay ng mixer pagdating ng bagong taon.
Isang balita nga nanaman ang maaring makapagpasama sa crypto
isang malaysian ang nakidnapped dito sa pilipinas kung saan ay humingi ang mga kidnapper ng ransom via crypto currency.
nakakabahala ito dahil maari din itong mangyari sating mga kababayang pilipino, kapag nalaman ito ng ibang mga msasamang loob
at lalo lang maging masama ito sa imahe ng ating mga kababayan at gobyerno, natagpuan daw ang katawan ng nasabing malaysian
kung saan nagmmatch daw ito sa discription ng tao,
Anung masasabi ninyo dito mga kapinoy Btt?
https://www.nst.com.my/news/crime-courts/2023/12/989089/malaysian-kidnapped-manila-ransom-paid-cryptocurrency-body-found
Parang noon pa naman nadadawit sa masamang gawin ang crypto lalo na siguro sa panahon ngayon na tumataas na ang value ng bitcoin. Siguro ang nasabing malaysian ay talagang minanmanan or baka kakilala lang din nila ang kidnapper kasi paano malalaman na may bitcoin or any crypto investment ang mga taong nakapaligid sa biktima?
1000  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID is dead, "long live the new COVID". World economy get ready? on: December 13, 2023, 08:53:04 AM
Our country's economy has not yet recovered the devastating pandemic way back 2020 and now new variant is coming out again and is more fatal than the previous ones. Is this an economic sabotage? I might be wrong but for me this is some kind of biological weapon to weaken the worlds economic growth. This originated in a country that has everything ready like vaccines, masks and any medical kits needed for this specific type of illness. Aren't they creating something that could destroy others but gave them an economic advantage? Is this depopulation? Please share your thoughts on this as I am really tired on this issue.
About the possible version of the last pandemic as "man-made" - has a valid point, but it's not clear whether it was intentional or not.
But about the place where it all started and readiness - a controversial issue. China was the center of spreading, but there were neither vaccines nor sufficient preparation at the first stage. The fact that the industry was able to increase production of masks is simply an indicator of the adaptability of the industry and its margin of safety. The vaccine came much later.
But here the question is whether the virus itself is the work of Chinese "experts" or someone "helped" them, putting China under such a blow?
the said speculations are "viruses spreading in our country is already man-made", just like covid19 but there's no solid evidence to prove the speculations rumors around, and the pinpoint of the viruses came from china, and the whole production of things needed for safety and precautious are also from them. seems like, all of this are planned but I'm not really sure.
