501  Economy / Economics / Re: I went London i have questions now the wealthy life there on: March 01, 2024, 05:17:03 AM
I don’t think that they are trying to show off. If it’s in the US, I may decline to answer or say that it could be show off but I think that what you saw is actual wealth. Also, don’t forget the fact that London is not a small place. It is wealthy and filled with different kinds of jobs. If you’re still there, ask the cost of getting an apartment and you’ll know that these people aren’t kidding there. But then know that there are places you’d go in the UK and you’d rather stay in your country or won’t believe it’s actually there.

and everyone probably knows that the UK is one of the richest countries in the world, they are known when it comes to fashion, expensive lifestyle, so it's no wonder if you see local citizens there who dress lavishly even on normal days. The cost of living is high if you live in that country but they also pay a lot for the people who work there so it's really just a balance. That is no longer surprising in countries that are in the 1st class country and because they are well managed so all the taxes paid by the citizens go to the right place.
502  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: March 01, 2024, 04:49:06 AM
One of the strangest things I have noticed about humans is how we never stop being greedy. It is something we consciously or unconsciously drown ourselves in. Sometimes I sit and wonder why the richest people in the world want to make more money. I mean why not just make use of the one you have, it’ll last for all your generations. The person you speak of got drowned in greed. He didn’t even have enough funds to purse political power but he wanted it so badly and couldn’t wait till his business can stand the loss.
It is indeed something that humans can do that they will never feel enough with everything they have achieved and indeed there are those who realize it and there are also those who are not aware of this and even those who already have a lot of wealth that they can pass on to their children and grandchildren. they are still looking for all forms of income for various reasons they give and this will never end before they die.
If someone really wants something and they can never get it, of course they will continue to try to get it and if that person will try in various ways and even spend some of the money they have and still can't get what they want.

There's no such thing about contentment on this world. Human beings are naturally born greedy on which they would really be tending to have it all as much as they could. There's no such thing about
being contented or be enough despite on having almost all or able to attain on the things that other people wasnt been able to attain. This is the sad reality and even on what means that they would really be needing to do
then they would really be definitely be doing it. Money is never been enough, even if you are on a rich condition or situation but still you are really that aiming for more.

Even myself im guilty with this. Ever since i have dreamed about a certain car, yes i do able to buy it and on the time comes that i do get bored or getting used to it on everyday
usage then here comes that feeling that i do want to step up the game and now aiming for some luxurious car which i havent driven before. This is i could say
that contentment is something a main issue for most people.

People have a habit of not being satisfied. In truth, there is nothing wrong with being greedy or having many dreams in life, as long as you don't do harm to others to get everything you want. For me, if you are capable of doing something and you know yourself that you can achieve your dreams, there is nothing wrong if we aspire even higher.
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: March 01, 2024, 03:57:14 AM
I had a friend who use to play the gambling only when he consumed drugs,Sometimes he use yo win the money. But most of the time he loss the funds,
When a gambler gambles under the influence of alcohol or drugs, it has the ability to affect their decision making. Drugs, alcohol or substance use in gambling can make a gambler over gamble, go over their budget, chase a loss, and be totally numb to feeling the effect of losing.

In casinos where free alcohol are served to customers who are gambling, the gamblers will most likely gamble more even without knowing.

As for the sleep aspect it is even logical to conclude that such a person is an addict because the big question is why would someone feel sleepy and still continue to gamble.

because they have time to chase, so when it comes to gambling especially when a person loses a lot, there is their eagerness to continue to gamble because they want to recover the money they lost, which is definitely wrong, because when you try to get back the money you lost, you will run out even more because your mind is only focused on one thing, which is chasing your losses. You don't realize that you are becoming addicted to gambling and lack of sleep is a symptom.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 02:17:15 AM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?

Here in our country, if a person is deeply in debt and he borrows from a bank or lending company, it is necessary that you put collateral with them just in case you can't pay your debts, they will take the collateral instead with the money you owe, If a person owes money to other people, here I can say that children can inherit their parents' debt because even if the parents are gone, the creditor can charge the various family member
505  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: February 29, 2024, 11:50:21 PM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?

Well that's true. In fact, I don't have a child yet but I've seen a lot of people have that experience, when they have a child and a family, their time for gambling has decreased as well as the money used for gambling because it's only allocated to the needs of their children. The responsibility of having a child is no joke, so you should really limit the vices you do because the situation will be different unless you are an addict and you can't stop it, it is possible that you will just ignore the child because you don't have money to support him.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: February 29, 2024, 11:32:37 PM
I want to know how it feels among those of you who gamble using altcoins or bitcoins, basically the crypto you are using today has increased significantly, we know that in 2022-2023 coins that are small are not so valuable, and how does it feel today? Is there a little regret or do you not care because the money you lose in gambling is a necessity for you, so you don't care about the crypto you have lost in gambling for the past two years?

Actually, I don't have any regrets because when I was gambling with bitcoin/altcoins, I really made sure that I wouldn't exceed the budget I set for myself, because I know that anytime after the pandemic is over, it is possible that the value of bitcoin is just like what is happening now. Maybe the biggest regrets are the people who have been using bitcoin for gambling since the beginning. It is also risky, so for me it is not advisable to use it for gambling, it is better to just hold it and wait for it to grow, just like a typical investment.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: February 29, 2024, 11:14:04 PM
Do you have a sports that you keep betting on even though you don’t watch this sports live or you don’t know the full specifications of this game?

In my case, I keep betting on tennis whenever I have spare money on my casino balance from my VIP rewards(Rakeback) after my long game session on live games. I’m not really a fan of sports betting in general but I do place bet randomly on tennis especially the Asian Handicap on live match. I’m always betting on the underdog that already has 1 set advantage to the favorite players. I do this bet just for fun no string attached.

I believe this is the literal definition of “gamble what you can afford to lose”.  Grin

Definitely yes!! Same here, because here in our country, there is a season where the bet is strong in what we call gambling "ending" That is a lengthwise card with a numbers written on it. It is related to the game of basketball and you can bet on any numbers that do you think it will be the last game result of the two teams that will play. Actually I don't like to watch basketball, the only reason I bet is because my friends and relatives at home like to watch basketball games and most of them bet on the ending. It's also fun to do especially since I have no idea about the possible final score of the two teams, you can bet on any number and any person who is offered ending cards as long as you can manage the money you put in there, there are as many prizes there, it can be a cash and can also be gadgets.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling still pays regardless of our losses on: February 29, 2024, 10:50:31 PM
So I brought this topic to let us know that in gambling, if you just play it as though you don't take it seriously whether you win or lose then you might surprisingly win an amount that will amaze you one day and it would look as if you're smart or you know how to predict the outcome of events and in most cases, when a gambler wins they doesn't really care much about their previous losses regardless of the amount they won.

So I just felt like making some predictions in sports betting today and the events was about 8 matches, and it all played according to how I predicted them to go and I won the bet though I spent less than $1 just #1000 in my local currency to place the bet and i won close to $23 which is about #32000 in my local currency as well. Congratulations to me as i didn't expect this winning.

Exactly! when we win even just once, it's like we forget the money we lost here, maybe that's how gambling really affects a person especially when we've experienced winning, but if you add up all the money you've spent before you get it the minimum to jackpot prize, sometimes you even lose and subscribe. This is one of the reasons why most people say that gambling makes players happy when in reality it is not. it just returns the money you lost from them. Anyway, Congratulations in your winnings.
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: February 29, 2024, 10:34:07 PM

however, my question here now is : is gambling restricted to some certain kind of individuals or class?  or is there any stratification when it comes to playing gambling ?please your opinions here here will actually quench my curiosity.

other people look down on people who gamble because of the initial reactions of gamblers, that's why normal people look down on them because of the actions they show or the results of their gambling especially that is when your money is so depleted that you end up addicted to it. Gambling is not forbidden to everyone, actually it is open to everyone as long as you have money and can play it. There are only a few people who are prohibited from gambling, it depends on their religion but we will not discuss that further because it is too broad and there is an open topic about the gambling-religion relationship.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: Beginner questions on: February 29, 2024, 05:05:14 AM
If we invest in Bitcoin, I think the possibility of losing all our capital is small, but if it experiences a decline in value, it can happen, as long as we don't panic sell, then we still have the opportunity to make a profit. The current problem is that many people think that by investing in Bitcoin they will get rich quickly. Before we have an understanding of Bitcoin, I think this is a high risk investment, because of factors within ourselves.

That's what's wrong with other people's mindsets, that when they hear the word bitcoin, they immediately think of instant money even though they have no idea how the bitcoin investment works. if we study it carefully or have an idea about it before we enter it, it is possible that you will earn a lot and you will be careful in handling your investments
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 09:41:28 PM
If you know anybody trying to stop the addiction of gambling to become better for themselves and their family, try and show them support by not criticizing them. If you observe that they experience some kind of relapse and go back to gamble even when they said they were not going to gamble, try to encourage them to remember why they wanted to stop gambling for the time. It is not an easy decision for some of them to make, and even imagining that they will never gamble again can make it worse for them, most of them need all the support they can get to help them maintain the decision to give gambling some time away. If you criticize and mock them, they may nurse in the heart the mindset that gambling is impossible to stop, or even stop trying to stop gambling because you have already made them feel like they can never do it.

This statement is on point, It's a mind over matter so we need to be more careful on our actions and words that may come out in our mouth, because we have no idea in the struggles of other people and maybe the words that come out of our mouths are one of the reasons why a person's addiction never goes away. This situation is not a joke and it is really difficult to overcome it especially if a person is in a severe condition, because it also depends on the person how he will help himself, also we can't rely on giving advice, medicine, extra care from the people around them because sometimes, they themselves are the ones who can help them the most.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: February 28, 2024, 08:44:04 PM
There are a lot of options you can do but not this. Forcing a person to quit gambling where they are addicted will never make you achieve the goal of stopping them. There should be the right process to conduct to make them stop without forcing them. The right thing to do is to help them by making them realize the important things they need to do or prioritize instead of spending all their time being addicted to gambling. Forcing them will only make them think to spend more time gambling and make them more addicted than their current situation until they are no longer able to help.

i also think that forcing someone not to gamble is the same as making them even angrier and will actually fight us. the approach taken should be with understanding and empathy, where we should be able to advise them face to face. if they still resist in the process, give him more advice and don't allow him to gamble more than he can afford. because stones that are dripped with water will also change shape, like people who are addicted, if we continue to give advice and empathize with them, maybe it will help them to soften and reduce the intensity of their gambling.
It should come as no surprise that forcing someone to stop gambling against their will can backfire, resulting in increased frustration and resentment. Taking the time to speak with them face to face and offer advise and support is far more likely to have a positive impact. And an analogy of the stone being shaped by water over time is extremely powerful; it implies that change is possible, but it requires patience and persistence.

Definitely changes from an addicted person is truly possible by the help of having a lot of patience and persistence but I assume that it will also take a lot of time before they overcome this addiction. Speaking with them by face to face is one of the best way to guide and to help them because if you only know, that's what doctors like psychologists do mostly, they talk and give a lot of advice to a person so that he remembers again and again that what he does needs to be limited, in this way, a person's time is reduced in gambling.
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much does it cost to have your own Casino? on: February 28, 2024, 03:06:49 PM
It is indeed quite easy to build an online casino, I don't know how much it costs to provide slots in the casino you own, I don't think it's that simple, is there no audit, and other stages, there are many service providers on the forum or outside the forum for build a casino site, only at a fantastic cost

I totally disagree that it is easy to built or run a casino. Not everyone can own or develop a casino. You need to know How Much Does it Cost to Open a Casino? [Land-Based & Online].
This is not like getting a website, applying a theme and you are ready to start a business. In this business model, you need to have a big initial capital so that you can pay off the gambler's winnings initially from your pocket. Also, the cost and scenario is different for the  physical and online casinos and a proper case study needs to be analyzed before you think of starting this business.

exactly! the step to be taken for this will not be easy, a large amount must be released to do this and it also requires intense study and analysis before it is implemented completely. I think it will cost a lot for installing slot providers, and a larger amount if you build a physical casino itself, It will cost millions, not just a typical amount, that's why we were not know the exact amount we need because we haven't tried it yet.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 28, 2024, 12:51:41 AM
I've never bet anything so large that I would end up in a much worse position than I started in.  I know serious gamblers, or more so professional gamblers, which I think is the more appropriate word, tend to take such large risks, but it's part of their game/job and it's just how they have to bet to make it work as a career.  This is why unless you're that, I just wouldn't ever recommend doing something of this nature.
There is a significant distinction between recreational and professional gambling. A recreational gambler is doing it for enjoyment, thus they are likely to be more conservative with their wagers. A professional gambler is doing it for a living, thus they are more prone to take risks in order to win big. People should comprehend the difference between the two and only gamble with money they can afford to lose.

It's like the opposite if we understand it, right? because those who play gambling just for fun, they should be the ones who don't care about the money they take out, they should be the ones who are stronger to lose money compared to the gamblers who make it a means of living. Anyways, no matter what the explanation is, there is only one thing that is most important of all, we should always be careful when gambling and we will only use the money we can afford to lose or spend without regret.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 27, 2024, 10:39:47 PM
You can add these two:

When you win little, do not gamble on that day again. But some gamblers will feel like they should continue to gamble and they will lose at the end of the day.

When you are addicted. Quit gambling for a long time.

That's one of the best strategy that I've been doing since then, and it works to me that's why I didn't lose big chunk of money in my pocket because whenever I win, especially if it's smaller amount, I thought carefully first if I can still place a bet for the money I have or if I should stop first because maybe in the end I will continue to lose. Gambling is really risky and you need courage especially when it comes to money and the values of money used or consumed in it are no joke.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: February 27, 2024, 11:28:37 AM
That's right, I know about it too, the stremers or influencers who do gambling shows with very lucrative results are nothing more than casino agents who act as a party to promote certain sites that do cooperate with them along with certain agreements behind the scenes. They get large amounts of winnings and it looks very easy for them, but on the other hand you already feel that it is very difficult to get such winnings when you are playing yourself

Yeah. Some casinos offer them direct cash for such streams and some other casinos do not give them cash but the streamers get the affiliate commission from their players who sign up after watching their stream. It depends on the steamer's popularity. If there are some popular streamer who has millions of followers, they earn hundreds thousands of dollars per month just from those streaming promotions.

They simply make us fool and we are nothing but just victims. Players should not follow streamers and should not try the same way they did. Some of those streamers does not even check if their players get their winnings or not.
Casino streamers usually work to fulfill strategies for their interests. Their streams are usually done very professionally definitely all these streamers are fake just watch them for fun never believe their wins and losses they sometimes fake it to attract new customers. To lure gamblers and sites like stake and roubet are paying popular streamers to play casino games on their channels sometimes offering hundreds of thousands of dollars per hour.

that's true, most of the streamers act only because it's part of their job, there are a few who just naturally enjoy what they do but the majority is just for their income and that's fine because we all have that side and all of us will do any way to earn money even if we don't like something because we don't have a choice.
The promotion of gambling using streaming is one of the easy ways to earn a lot of money.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: February 27, 2024, 02:26:17 AM

Let's just say when it comes to influencers, generally their following is of mixed followers from newbie's to pro gamblers..
and the fact that some users aren't influenced by these streamers could mean you aren't the target market simple as that .
.

Some people say that they are not influenced by the streamers because they are not interested in gambling, but if we survey, many viewers are truly influenced by the streamers because first they idolize them and the second is that streamers are the first one who recognized the gambling that they are playing now, if it wasn't for the promotion of streamers, they would have no idea about that. There are still a few people who don't trust what they see or read on social media, so if many viewers are influenced, it just means that you are an effective promoter and you are good at attracting players.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: February 26, 2024, 11:44:05 PM
Just trying to get the communities opinion based on their experience about the topic.

Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?

That all depends how you define "fun" I guess. Some people would watch horror movies or go to roller-coaster rides, get scared (which is a negative emotion) but still consider it fun.
Placing a wager on a game is a bit similar. It provides way more excitement than watching a game without having any stake in it.
If you value nice, relaxing time over high emotions and excitement, then watch without betting.
I would always advise against betting too much. It's a bad habit and will cause too much stress. You don't have to bet a lot to have a feeling of having a skin in the game.

Watching while having a bet is giving you more excitement and a little bit of nervous because of the money that you've risk on that game that's why whenever you watch betting game, It will give you a roller coaster emotion that you can't explain if you are supposed to be happy, sad, nervous etc. I agree to you, placing too much bet money that you can't afford to loose will give you a problem and stress, so do not pressure yourself to placed larger bet just because other people doing it, You have to follow your own instincts as well.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it ethical to break your gambling rules on: February 26, 2024, 09:53:53 PM
My recent experience from gambling, prompted me to ask this question,  and just as the title stated clearly,  you can easily deduce what I am trying to ask in this thread

My experience
In the last two weeks, I have been on a steady roll in gambling and most of the stakes I placed are mostly in sports bets, dice, and spin, all these games are luck-based games unless for football that requires a little bit of analysis.

That being said, this week I noticed that I have continued in the same trend despite that I have a personal gambling rule, not to gamble for two weeks consecutively,  but unknowingly for me I am already in the third week without adhering to my own rule.

So this led me to ask the general public if I am gambling too much, although this excess didn't affect my finances in any way since I still managed to come out with little winning at the end of the day and at some level, my losses are still below 30 percent of my set out money.

to me, since you set rules for yourself and you didn't follow them, it's like you said that all rules are ignored in other things. Is that why you set rules for yourself to prevent you from reaching the point where you become addicted to gambling? If yes, there is a big chance that you will become a gambling addict because of the mere fact that you don't follow your own rules, what more if you experience winning a large amount of money? maybe you'll break the rules you made even more, or worse, you'll have no one to listen to.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: February 26, 2024, 02:50:48 PM
When I was addicted, I lost money than I won. It was even a huge loss.

Later I do not gamble often. I can count the number of times I am gambling annually and not many at all. I only go for the games that I know I will most likely win. Because of this infrequently gambling, I make profit than loss.

But if you gamble frequently or not, just use the money that you can afford to lose to gamble and do not go more than your gambling budget which should be a small amount of money that you can afford to lose.
Nice strategy. I did the same thing after I lost the biggest bet I have ever placed in gambling before, I think that was less than a $100. I have a hard time moving on that time that is why I abstain for awhile until such time I just accepted the fact that I wasn't that lucky for that game. But I just came back to gambling few years back and yeah I have more control of myself than before and even spend only extra money I have so it won't hurt if I lose all of it.

Wow, that's a nice strategy and I also want to do that because I have this thing that I don't want to monitor all my gambling activites especially the money that I've spent because I'm strictly following my spending habits and I'm sure that I'm not addicted into It, but yeah, I just wan't to try your strategy so that I can lessen my gambling time and I can have more time in other important things.
