1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 08:39:44 AM
Just trying to get the communities opinion based on their experience about the topic.

Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?
For me, I don't want to watch a match where I have bet because it gives me a mixed emotions and possibly I can't concentrate on watching. It's better for me to watch a normal game without my own bet so that I can watch and comment freely without thinking how's my money. sometime It's kinda disappointed if I didn't place a bet especially if my instincts about the winning team is right but yeah, that's how gambling works.
1003  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 12, 2023, 11:18:21 AM
Most people tend to have a mindset of blaming and seeking some reason for their losses, few admit that it's their own fault. And your friend is also a case in point. If they succeed or win big, it's because of their talent. But if they lose, they'll blame external factors. Sounds illogical, doesn't it? Yet, it's a common occurrence, and to some extent, we've all been there, haven't we?

To be honest, there were times when I deeply regretted getting into gambling or the market I was pursuing, which is crypto. Those were moments when I had to endure significant losses. But after all, I feel grateful because it helped me grow, realize more, and acquire new financial knowledge that I wouldn't have thought about if I hadn't been involved. There's a saying that resonates with me: "No success comes without pain." Regret is inevitable in a long journey, but if we persevere, not giving up, at some point, we'll realize that we've gained more than we lost.
And I think that's normal for people though, they will have to point out fingers on how their life turn into because someone has teach them gambling early when they are young. But nevertheless, you also have to look on the what if. So for me there should not be any regrets whatsoever in life.

What we learn what we go into our life, it's part of whether we grow up as a individual.

And the what if he win big in gambling? So is he going to blame anyone around him as well? I don't think so.

It seems like normal nowadays because people tends to be ungrateful, they will blame the one who teach them how to do it or the one who helps them  but once they experiencing winning, As usual they can't even give some token of appreciation for that person. So it's better to know everything on their own because there's a huge possibility that once they experienced any negative outcome, they will blame it to others no matter what happen.
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you wrap up your gambling session? on: December 12, 2023, 06:41:32 AM
If it's time to rest then even if I am at lost I will wrap it up. There's always be another day to gamble. Gambling sites will not be gone in a blink so better take care of your health first and rest as much as possible to avoid the stress that is being given by the bad habit.
I remember last month when I was trying to chase my losses and I didn't even notice the time. When I looked at it, it was already 2AM and I felt so bad that I instantly shut down my computer because that's just not right.
Being disciplined in gambling is a hard task to do, I know that. But at least keeping it in control should be our main goal to avoid getting addicted in the long run.

That's good to hear that someone here still prioritize their health instead of pursuing gambling even if their health is at stake, so it's better to create a schedule for gambling, resting and doing some chores and with the help of creating schedule, gamblers are unable to abuse their health just for their gambling addiction. Everyone here needs to control their time and have to balance gambling to prevent any health related concern.
1005  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gamer Streamer to Gambling Streamer? on: December 12, 2023, 04:45:36 AM

1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 12, 2023, 04:35:11 AM
First, I’m glad to see that you are very much aware that Bitcoin price could go down, and you have taken full accountability and responsibility on that. Secondly, the bank is the worst place to put your money because they loan out the money you deposit to someone else, make a lot of money in its return, and give you peanuts in return. That’s why Bitcoin is better because if you make some money off hodling, you’re not getting a fraction of it but will actually get your complete money. The interest rates that occurs with Bitcoin over the year is not to be compared with what the bank has done in that same period of time.

Agree! I consider bank as one of the worst place to put my money especially if I'm considering having a big investment return from the amount of money that I've deposited to them. Truly bank is safe to secure money but the thing here is how about the interest that we can generate from the money that we put to them? So It's better to invest your money to other way like buying bitcoin, invest in stocks, land and property. You just need to remember that bitcoin is volatile but It will surely give you huge profit after years of hodling it.
1007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no reward on: December 12, 2023, 04:14:50 AM
It's this, "No risk no reward" thing that will make a whole lot of difference among hodlers as we approach this incoming bull run. We're going to have those who will not want to risk much but we expect to earn as much as those who risked much. It's a recipe for disaster because fearful investors will want to put their $20 in tokens they think will cancel out so many zeroes and give them unbelievable ROI. It will cause them to invest in shitcoins because of its cheap price. At the end, the risk they take becomes needless risk.
Truths be told, it’s possible, it’s possible to get a lot from altcoins but, the chances is really rare and having to find that one coin that would give you just about enough multiples is not what you come by just easily. It’s easy to find a needle in a hail stack than to find just the right altcoin that would give you good returns in numbers. Maybe that’s where the risk is but, most times, your going to end up loosing your money to gain experience on why should avoid altcoins and do Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is where you can have some safe investment especially, when your holding. All you have to do is, have fate the currency will continue to evade ban by the government and have the patience to hold till you feel it’s a best time to withdraw on profit.

Finding profits from altcoins during bear season is really difficult but during bull season, I think things will become a lot easier. So I think we should not miss that opportunity as the price increase season is getting closer and closer. In my opinion, instead of focusing 100% on bitcoin, why don't we allocate a small portion to altcoins? During the bull season, almost the entire market will grow very strongly, especially small-cap altcoins. We should take advantage of instead of ignoring the golden opportunities that appear only once every 4 years.

I will invest 60-70% in bitcoin and the remaining 30% will be in altcoins, I think it is a good profitable opportunity and we should not stubbornly ignore it.

You're right mate, even if we find it difficult to gain profit on some altcoins, we cannot take away the fact that a few of them have a value when bull season hits. You have a point that some of us shouldn't focus on bitcoin itself and we need to invest small portion to some altcoins but still bitcoin holds the larger percentage of our holdings. that's one of the common thing when it comes to investment, you need to diversify your money to avoid risk of losing it.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are slots hard to understand on purpose? on: December 12, 2023, 04:08:45 AM
If anyone has gotten used to gambling through crypto casinos, it's likely that they've become accustomed to games like dice. With dice everything is crystal clear: You know your winning odds and how much you are going to win if you roll within your target.
However with slots, you never know your win chance. You don't know what increasing your wager or coins does to winning chances and it's generally all so opaque.

Instead of winning chances there's terms like volatility and RTP,  which make little sense unless to the individual gambler. Honestly dice was complicated enough, slots are just too much. Makes me think that it could be on purpose. Players of slots seem to be unlikely to look into these details due to how complicated it is.

Has that been your experience too?

I have several friends who are quite good at playing slots in my opinion. The pattern that I see when they play is memorizing the image pattern, that way they have confidence that there will be some kind of historical sequence of the pattern.

Indeed, to me this doesn't make sense, because it is very difficult to break down the many image patterns in slot gambling. But my friends were successful and had a winning rate above 50%. I've tried doing it but it makes my head spin.

Fortunately, slots are quite fun because they are quite easy to play even for lay people, because you just have to place a bet and spin. Because currently the majority of slots are ones that are quite popular and are played by many users.

That's one of the techniques of pro slot players, they are relying on historical patterns and use them as their basis of setting a bet and with that, they experienced majority of winnings but I can say that it's kind of luck or it's just a coincidence. Just like you who are unfortunate to win when it comes to slot games, I find it difficult to win too even it doesn't requires skills.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: December 12, 2023, 04:03:16 AM
Ever heard about financing a gambler? No I mean maybe there is a person who loses in gambling and borrows some money But in financing trading I hear it a lot. some high-yield investment program has a similar case like that.
But gambling is a different story in my opinion even tho there is person like that I don't want it tho.

But the last time I remember there is someone out of nowhere DM me in telegram and said that he is one of employees gambling company and he said to me "I can make you always win" he showed me but the website was total cap. and the chat deleted.
We can borrow money to bet if we want but we don't have to make it an habit. Gambling can be very interesting when we are making consistent profits from it but that should not make us to be too focus on gambling since we can easily get accustomed to it. If we are generous gamblers, it shouldn't be a hard thing for us to sponsor people around us that might be interested in gambling. Gambling is suppose to be simple and less often.

If we keep gambling and we don't control ourselves we can become a bad gambler which the endpoint can be addiction. Once we are disciplined and know how to reduce our interest in gambling, then we end more as a reward.
That is a door which must never be opened, asking for a loan to gamble or giving a loan to someone else so they can do so is a bad idea.

One of the most basic principles when it comes to gambling is to only do it with money you can afford to lose, and money that you have received as a loan does not qualify as money you can afford to lose, as by asking for a loan you are basically admitting you have no money you can dedicate to your gambling hobby, and if that is the case then you must not gamble.
Precisely! You should gamble what you can afford to lose and you don't have to find a financer or borrow a money to a bank or other lending company just to satisfy your gambling addiction because if you do so, You're giving yourself a chance to ruin your life because we all know how debts and addiction ruin everything especially if you cannot control them.
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 11, 2023, 12:35:35 PM
The end of the month every year is what everybody is waiting for throughout the year, because this is the time you get your Christmas bonus and other bonuses like 13th month pay from other countries, because of the huge money coming in this holiday.

Are you spending more or less on casinos this holiday season?

Why add more? this is the only time of the year that you have additional funds why not enjoy playing more time with more funds if you get lucky you're holiday season will be merrier and prosperous.

Why spend less? This is the time of the year that there's a lot of spending and you have to buy a lot of gifts for your loved ones so I don't want to spend more on gambling I don't want to face this holiday losing money.

This coming holiday, I decided to use my christmas bonus on some important things like expenses for christmas feast, using it by buying gifts to my love ones and save or invest the rest of my money. I voted No because I don't want to spend my bonus just in gambling because it might end up losing and running out of it. for me, it's better that we have money in our pockets for the upcoming Christmas and New Year so that we can welcome the new year peacefully and without thinking about money problems
1011  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 11, 2023, 12:18:08 PM
Your uncle is old enough to mend his activities and change his lifestyle. A simple word of telling him that we're no longer young and we're not getting any younger would be sufficient for him to think of the important things in the remainder of his life. We're not that young anymore to do stuff but if he's got this reason about YOLOing then let him do his own thing and let him wake up one morning to realize what he has been doing instead of saving for the rainy days. I know that we're here to enjoy life but too much of everything isn't good.

Well, that's right, or maybe his uncle needs professional help because it somehow related on his personal decision making since he shows symptoms like being impulsive on the things that he want once he makes money. Also I agree with you that maybe his uncle only needs a sympathy advice for him to realize that he's no longer young and there's nothing wrong for leisures as long as you are able to maintain your well being and finances.
1012  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Paalala]Bawal na ang Mixer promotion sa forum! on: December 11, 2023, 11:55:31 AM
This is a big move for a crypto community, though malaki talaga ang reason siguro kaya ipagbabawal na ito. Magingat tayo dito and make sure you are not promoting any kind of project like this anymore, and seriously baka kahit sabihen yang word na yan is hinde ko na gawin.

Nakakatakot maban dito kase sobrang laking tulong ng forum na ito sa akin and syempre andito ren lahat ang mga updates and topics that you might need. Any issues with this project? Or in relation paren ito sa laundering?

Actually may naunang thread dito sa local about banning binance in our country, halos 1 week nadin ang nakalipas.
1014  Other / Off-topic / Re: Making a New Year resolution plan is Important. on: December 11, 2023, 09:05:15 AM
You don't have to wait for new year to make resolution, whatever factor you wanna improve on, just do it right now. Suppose, you wanna stop drinking alchohol, you just stop with that right now, don't wait for new year.

Exactly! but traditionally, people will follow this idea by starting it in the first day of the year, It's a belief that once you've done things at the first day of the year, it is possible that this will continue and you will completely stop the things you want to avoid. but for me, I agree on your opinion, if a person really wants to stop a certain thing, They can stop it as soon as they want, no need to wait for a New year, It's all about willingness to do so.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one you are good at? on: December 11, 2023, 08:47:40 AM
Hello! I'd like to pose a question to my fellow gamblers here. Since the topic of sports betting has been gaining attention recently, allow me to ask:

So, the question is... Which are you better at: selecting the right bet or managing your bankroll?

And, how has it been going so far? Are you profitable or not, and why?
It's giving me a realization as of now, I think I'm good at managing my bank roll, because I can manage my spending habits and I always set an allocation on how much should I spend in placing bets. Am I profitable by doing it? Yes because once I won,  I immediately save money for my gambling activity then the rest is for my own savings.

Quote
easy to fall for the same mistakes even though we've experienced them before.

The worst mistakes are those you repeat because its a vulnerability you have to overcome and learn better that lesson.    The best way to learn is to gamble and and on smaller amounts, I always think the biggest lesson is just manage the money dont overstep dont over bet as it wont increase luck if anything slipping on your control and reasoning in a game can make a player far worse.

That's correct, mate! The best way to learn a lesson is by having a mistake by doing a thing, just like in gambling, you can learn things from it by experiencing winning and losses and with that, you will realize some things because you're the onw who already experiencing it. One thing that you must keep in your mind when it comes to gambling is that, you have to control your time, self and spending habits.
1017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 11, 2023, 07:56:15 AM
Hey house someone need a few clips here, don't know if a post of this exact nature has been discussed though.

In a situation where the both spouse are gamblers. Husband gambles, wife gambles, how can both of them manage the situation in terms of finance and the family affairs especially when children are now involve so that the time both spends on gambling doesn't affect family moments and affairs in general.

Would it help if  one of the couple quit for the other and if that's the case who should quit for who.
It depends to a situation, if there's a worst case scenario that will ruins the whole family, I think it's better to both of them to quit gambling. quitting may be hard especially if there's a symptoms of addiction but both of them should know that they have a child who needs guidance. If they are having difficulties in quitting because both of them are stuck in the house, I think it's better husband will look for a stable job to divert gambling  activity to working activity, same goes to the wife, she needs to divert her attention to taking care of her child and doing house chores and such other things instead of gambling.

1019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risk only what you can afford to lose on: December 10, 2023, 11:09:21 AM
There is no such thing as "100% safe" with hardware wallets or literally anything anyway. Everything has risk tradeoffs. All we can do is to make our coins as secure as possible, to the point that it's not 100% safe, but virtually almost impossible to break.

You're right, even if you already secured your coins in a trusted hardware wallet, it will not guarantee you a 100% safe because there's a pros and cons of securing your assets on it. The best thing you can do is to check and monitor your holding daily so you can see if there's any changes like lossing some of it. But hardware wallet is the safest way rather than software wallet which is exposed by using internet and prone to hacking incident.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: December 10, 2023, 10:24:10 AM
I am quite suspicious of most newbies who just get involved, out of 100% I think 70% of them come with the intention and purpose of earning, because lately I see more suffering from even large losses than enjoying the fun. If you are one of them then my hope and advice is to immediately change your mindset and point of view on gambling from now on, this is really dangerous, the chances of getting a win are not as easy as you think, and you never know how many losses have been experienced by people you see successfully get a sizable win.

So the bottom line is, the mindset and goal of earning in gambling is really not recommended because there are far greater risks than what you see as tempting, think about it and consider realistically from some of the facts that have happened about the adverse effects, set limits and keep awareness. you have to do that if you really want to stay safe there.

Also it is strange to see these newbies asking for advice or strategy to win. And they expect to win in every single game they play. As if we know some kind of secret to become rich (while still wearing signatures to earn a bit, go to work and hope Bitcoin to grow and makes us rich).

I would advice newbie just to play they way they play and want, and dont focus on earning. Little depends from them. If they are lucky, they would win. Gambling is mostly about random to majority.

more beginners come to gamble hoping to earn income and hit the jackpot. even some who ask me about gambling don't have a game they really like. meaning they are only interested in winning and making money, not in having fun. and if the goal is to earn an income, more of these novice gamblers will become entangled in addictions that destroy their finances.
Hopefully, more beginners will quickly realize that gambling is not a quick way to get rich. some may be successful, but they are not beginners.

Yup, I've noticed that too.I have watched a mini vlog with a gambling promotion at the end of the video and it really hooked the attention of majority i
