First rule of Bitcoin: you don't talk about how many bitcoins you have.

Your rule I guess, stop claiming shit for the whole community....
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MANDATORY UPDATE ██ ZEITCOIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ on: January 20, 2015, 08:20:52 AM
Done exactly what it say but then all my coins are now unconfirm.
It finish sync though

I Shut down my old wallet 2.012, copy this new blockchain. ensure wallet.dat still there
Rerun my wallet 2.012 every synce correctly but coins all unconfirm.
Try repairwallet still no good.

Please help!

Did you try -salvagewallet ?
If you were on a version <2, I would say your coins are gone. There was a hardfork and you are not the first one who lost coins due to this.
But you are telling us, that you are working with 2.0.1.2. That's not optimal, please update to 2.0.1.5. This is urgent and needed.
Every client < 2.0.1.5 is not working anymore.

What does the explorer say? Are your coins safe?
Enter your address here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/zeit/

Let us know when you need further help.

Cheers,
Ray

Eventually I got it right, just take an old backup.dat file, should work in the new client, succes!

Cann wallet is a win wallet and i didn't do any thinks that u mentioned. I just haven't opened it for a 10 days and after sync i noticed that there was a withdrawal. So correct me if i am wrong but there is no option for me in that case?

PS. For person who stole my cann and btc (maybe he read this): each and every day i will (i don't belive in God but i will) pray that u die painful death! because of u i am aut of businness! i ve been collecting those coins 4 2 years.

Is your password not long and random? nothing is fullproof, but a secure password isn't easy hackable..
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: January 20, 2015, 06:01:38 AM
As a strong supporter of Bitcoin, Litecoin & Dogecoin, the amount of division and one way thinking, on all sides, baffles me. I do everything I can to contribute to the economy of all of them, partake in charities, purchase goods/services at every opportunity, mine, and stay active in the community and each of them have their own merits that I can only see as helping with adoption. It seems a lot of people here think that if you're into Litecoin that's all you're into, but a lot of people that have Litecoin or Dogecoin or whatever else have Bitcoin too and are just as into it and believe in the crypto/blockchain technology and only want it to prosper. I don't see the sense in hating on one crypto or another, there are a vocal few in every crypto community that do it and it does absolutely nothing to help your coin, if anything it just hurts it. Unless you have a crystal ball there at home(and if you do, I want proof), give it a rest, would ya?

My thoughts exactly, the rivalry prooves that mankind isn't ready for the evolution crypto brings us... the hate is astonishing...
1005  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam accusation against... Myself and my partner on: January 20, 2015, 05:49:41 AM
Ponzi is scam, the one who is running a ponzi is a scammer, regardless of running away with the money or not.....
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MANDATORY UPDATE ██ ZEITCOIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ on: January 20, 2015, 05:40:43 AM

Reason, I moved to Comkort,
Cryptsy's trading engine is like play money , if I can never pull the coins out ,they are of no use to me.
No wallets need to be offline to the extent they are on craptsy.

 Cool

Yeah, me too. Comkort is kewl and ZEIT is in the TOP 3 there.

But I have some ZEIT at Cryptsy and I don't want to sell them under the price.
I want a stable price at Cryptsy. All we can do now is waiting.
Zeit Knights don't have a word for panic.  Wink

You can hold them and wait till further price rise.

I had 0.05 ltc left over, I place the highest and the lowest bid on zeit @ cryptsy, now I have 0.09 LTC Smiley
1007  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Turning off miners on: January 19, 2015, 08:57:03 PM
Solar is definitely the way to go if you can afford a $30,000 solar system.

I’ve been looking into Proof of Stake altcoins like NXT.org.  Both systems have their issues but PoS doesn’t have the need for massive equipment and power requirements that Proof of Work altcoins need to function.  PoS makes more sense to me since people are invested in the currency, not the equipment & power needed to support it.

Yet ONLY pos, can lead to holding and not using it as an currency.

1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MANDATORY UPDATE ██ ZEITCOIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ on: January 19, 2015, 04:41:59 PM
Holy Cryptsy

Now QUARK / PTS / NXT / ZEIT is offline.
And Apex is still online.

Some coins are in maintenance mode for over 6 months.
That one takes a bad end.

Wow! So glad I didn't leave any coins on that exchange.

So sad you have to wrub it in Grin
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGED] DogeCoinDark [POD] - Scrypt - Global Darknet is LIVE! UNTRACEABLE! on: January 19, 2015, 04:12:04 PM
Really seems a strong project. I am hopeful it continues to gain traction. So much going on here.

definitely it is! don't get deceived by the 1 satos sell someone is buying and selling his own orders trying to buy cheap completely out of market prices. with current hashrate and availability 3 satos is way under priced.

How do you know this....
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping Nxt and here's why you should too on: January 19, 2015, 03:59:56 PM
Source code? Really??? Who cares?

Ripple had this debate years ago. They have top cryptographers working for them. They made the decisions (as close to perfect as possible) and they've gone and built it.

You guys are still arguing among yourselves and getting all pedantic about what it and isn't in the source code. Sigh.

The energy should not be on the degree of open-source purity and/or technical disagreements, but on winning hearts and minds.

Proof of Beluga Caviar

Nice try  Cheesy This is a sign of madness, you know...

The reason why this is so important is decentralizition, which can't be achieved by private code.....
1012  Economy / Economics / Re: 80 richest people on the planet have the same wealth as the poorest 50% on: January 19, 2015, 02:23:01 PM
It's simply disgusting, if you're interested in making a change, investigate the Zeitgeist movement, they offer real solutions, yet I don't see any changes without violence. Mark Twain once said, the earth isn't dying, it's being killed, and the people responsibe have names and adresses.....
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping Nxt and here's why you should too on: January 19, 2015, 01:33:07 PM
Another valid criticism is the fact that most of the core devs within NxT are anonymous. Within bitcoin all the core devs are transparent and that is true for even the other stacks and implementations from even paranoid anarchists(like myself) with unsystem.

yawn, satoshi was anonymous, very valid criticism.

I don't really know why you need to know where your dev lives and how his faces looks like.

Yes, that is indeed a valid criticism of Bitcoin... at the time , except for the fact that all of his code has been peer reviewed , audited multiple times since he left and most of the code changed by known developers.

You honestly don't see why that is a valid criticism and need me to explain it to you or are you just trolling?

No I really don't see it. Nxt's source code was peer reviewd by known devs too, and by anon devs.

It's the good thing about being open source, everyone can review the code.

You still didn't tell me why "being known" matters?

NXT is not opensource, a part of the code is private....
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, ROI 2 months on: January 19, 2015, 01:14:43 PM
i hope today is day we get paid

After a month of "next day"

Sure, there is no way we get another delay Wink

Not gonna happen sadly, accept and move on Grin
1015  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The difficulty HAS BEEN REDUCED!!!! on: January 19, 2015, 11:54:21 AM
Holy shit - I didn't think we'd see that, the difficulty has been REDUCED!!!  Mining fun is returning!

not a big difference, btw i didnt know when was the last time that it happend.

Maybe this is because "small" minners turn off after discover mining BTC is not profitable anymore Tongue but who know, maybe is just like an anecdote, nothing more.

What I find funny, a close friend of mine was an innovator and he mined at a los from 2009 untill end 2012. After the bubble, mining bacame profitable, but it never was..... People were in it for the concept, in stead of a quick buck...
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: January 19, 2015, 07:56:30 AM
Small merchant update for Litecoin, 3D printing webstore www.ISG3D.com will be integrating LTC Litecoin payments through Shapeshift.io!

The team is currently moving the site to Shopify, we will be able to buy a 3D printer with Litecoin in a few days!

Stay in touch, hope the price is close to a bottom!

The more merchants being added, without new blood, the lower the price will become, look at bitcoin or every other crypto for that matter, merchants leads to dumping...

This is subject to discussions, but for the record, my friend Samuel Guillemette (CEO of ISG3D) is bagholding a lot of LTC litecoin from last year's prices.

I'm not sure they intend to dump all the crypto on the market because this is a team of cryptocurrency enthusiasts!

But I understand your concern, just wanted to share the news!

Progress is progress, but people seem to think acceptance leads to the moon, which isn't allways true Smiley
1017  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: This time the hash rate really took the dip on: January 19, 2015, 07:53:51 AM
OP is clearly wrong, the hashrate didn't really "dip", it has stabilized at around 310-315 PHS which is a jump from 280-290 a few weeks back. Next diff will be around 0%, after that we will see another 0% diff, followed by about 10% increase due to btc price recovering and more people buying S5's and SP20's.

IF the price recovers, which I hope it will Smiley
1018  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod Identity Found...If he has hurt you, join in. Do a service to all. on: January 19, 2015, 07:46:44 AM
Vod's Identity found. Recent info though suggests he has moved.

His username link here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=30747

I will also pay $5 extra for any phone number that is related to him or his family.

Thank you.

In all reality, if you can truly prove to me he is Vod the reward will be higher. However, most can only offer tips or "most likely its him" proof.

More info on Vod AND his friends are all over this thread. Please continue reading for the info and please support any of the info with more info.

It seems he crossed one to many Smiley
1019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cold storage - HACKED easily on: January 19, 2015, 07:41:54 AM
Old news. This attack (bugged ECDSA implementation) has been known about for a long long time, before Bitcoin even existed.

Quote
The attacker must first create a compromised version of ECDSA. This is achieved with a kleptographic 'SETUP', or 'Secretly Embedded Trapdoor with Embedded Protection', which was first described in a 1997 paper by Adam Young and Moti Yung.

One of the weaknesses of cold storage is if your cold storage machine is compromised, you're fucked and there is almost nothing you can do to prevent that. There are many many ways an attacker can exfiltrate the private keys from a compromised cold storage machine, including as used in this case a bugged ECDSA implementation.

I have an old but freshly installed never been online computer, solely used to generate new .dat files on clients in an offline environment, that's how a store my crypto's, good luck with that Grin
