If you had posted with your BTC address then you can sign a message with that address and thermos can reset your password for you
Can't. It was an address generated @ Cryptsy so I can't sign it. I offered to send a small transaction from that address to prove it was me, but never heard back. No big deal at this point though. I've got the new account, I've been posting under the new account. May as well keep the new account I did use a different BTC address this time though - one that I can sign a message with if need be. Cheers, Cynthia

4 Mill diff in 24 hours that's insane. Guessing lot of people jumped on this coin at the beginning now all ran away into the air to jump on to the next coin that is coming out.
True the diff is high but thats normal for Sha-256. I rented three 1.6TH rigs for 0.02btc ea (which is cheap) and hashed the shit out of it. Reaped a large amount at first and then slimmed off. At peak diff i was getting about 50 coins every 15min. Now sitting on 150K PRO and probably going to rent a few more rigs. Nice. I managed about 8.5k but I didn't have much to rent rigs with. Still, happy with what I got.

lets look at nicer things That is STUNNING! Did you do that? You mean did he rip off the Superman logo? You're damn right, he did. Actually I was referring to the coin itself and not necessarily the field behind the S.

You could also PM Staff and Global Mod., I'm sure they would give you a hand for this.
No, we can't help. Sorry. I thought you can. Thanks for pointing out. OP, then try contacting Theymos. Been there, done that. No reply. It's really a non-issue at this point though. But thank you for offering suggestions

No, we can't help. It's no big deal at this point. I've got the new account and people are getting used to seeing me use it. It's all good

Check your spam box. That's where mine ended up for some dumb reason. Empty... I'm afraid about that I can specified the wrong email As long as you have the bitcoin address you sent from and the TX id, I bet you can get in contact with them and sort it out

I think there's easier ways than that. One password on the file itself would be enough but i guess you could always rar them as well.
I thought about that but if you're dealing w/ several wallets and back them up regularly, zipping and unzipping a compressed file archive like that can become a pain in the butt. This way, once you enter the PW for the folder, you just cut and paste your backups, and you're done.

Im just wondering if putting a password question in the account will protect it as well as you will know the answer to the question and hacker wont?
There are any # of additional measures that can be taken - 2FA, secret question, secret pin, etc... Any of which would be fairly easy to implement. As it is a Bitcoin forum, binding it with a bitcoin address for recovery is the best option and that is implemented. Just people need to be aware of it or at the time of registration there should be an exclusive mention to it. There are lot of profiles on this forum which is not associated with any address. It is difficult to recover them if they face a hack. I had a BTC address bound to the previous account. Still no joy from on high. No big deal now. At this point it would be an even bigger pain in the ass if the account got restored to me. If u posted an address from your account, then why dont u show theymos that u can send Tx out of it. Just ask him to provide an address and send him a negligible amount to show your ownership. Then what stops u from recovering your account ? I already offered. He never replied to me. Not publicly and not privately.

There is a certain forum you must fill out and sign you BTC address and send a PM to him. Then you can only wait.
I already sent my BTC address do him. Couldn't sign it b/c the one I was using was generated @ Cryptsy. For a personal signature, why would you use Cryptsy? I guess there's no point in telling you now, as you've already learned after it's too late. Good luck, hope you get your account back. Don't expect Theymos to do anything though. It might be a huge deal to you, but your account is only one of tens of thousands, and these are little nuances to him. I resigned myself to that fact last week and decided to just bite the bullet and start a new account. A pain in the ass to be sure, but another valuable lesson learned.
