1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Activation of segwit via BIP141 = $10,000 overnight on: July 09, 2017, 03:31:15 PM
Stop playing the stupid price games.

There is not enough BIP141 support for over half year, and nothing changed in this regard. But fortunately there is enought support for SegWit2x. So get ready for SegWit and 2M.

You can break Bitcoin in half only if many people and services wont support SegWit2x, because SegWit and 2M going to happen for sure. But except for few zealots, I dont see any significant services not accepting SegWit2x, thus at worst few hundred radical people going to create their altcoin (or just stop using Bitcoin).

Nobody is supporting segwit2x, and these few that do, will pay for doing so. No big stakeholder in bitcoin is supporting the inferior code by Jeff Garzik. Nobody with a functional brain will risk their money by running unsafe, untested, rushed code. Anybody attempting to hardfork will suffer the consequences, just watch and see.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Activation of segwit via BIP141 = $10,000 overnight on: July 09, 2017, 01:16:55 PM
If miners stop playing stupid games and really want the best for bitcoin, they would stop stomping on the hardfork drums of war, and they would activate BIP141 as they have been told by everyone worth listening to in the space. But what happens when you give stupid janitors the ability to vote on engineering matters? that they will don't do the right thing.

Enable segwit with no stupid hardfork drama, and see bitcoin skyrocket.

Break bitcoin in half, see the price crash, and see everyone involved in the forked chain going bankrupt, with the price going to 0 on Forkcoin, and with Bitcoin crashing but going back 3 years in price and taking another 3 years to recover.

Your choice.
1003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin after 1st august = Unstoppable? on: July 08, 2017, 07:28:31 PM
Only if the hardfork is a failure as expected. In order for the bitcoin price to go up, the Bitmain/Roger Ver/Wright/anything that could lead to a hardfork/ must die and fail. XT, Classic, Buggy Unlimited, and segwit2x, they all have failed because it's retarded nonsense. This should not be any different. Im not even counting BitmainCoin's hardfork proposal.

After all these morons give up with the HF fud, we will go to $10,000. As long as the stupidity continues, we will stay as we are now or crash indefinitely.

We could go to $10,000 tomorrow, if miners acted accordingly and activated BIP141, or we can continue playing games.
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long time lurker, looking for your opinion about these coins and when to invest. on: July 08, 2017, 06:18:24 PM
These are the ones i think could be profitable in the long run. (I mean 10 to even 20 years)
I dont think i will start trading because i can be a fuckup, but i see a future where crypto will become mass implemented and i want to be on that train as soon as possible.

I started with a free trading course https://www.babypips.com non the less to become familliar with the business.

Waves, Ripple, Dash, Monero, Maidsafe, Steem, Golem, Antshares, Stratis.

I have no idea how much percentage i will dedicate to what crypto so i would love to get some advice from you guys. Maybe you could sort them in your favor?

I know that this is a lot to follow up so maybe i should lose a few cryptos and only buy 4 kinds for instance?

I think that buying 1 bitcoin is stupid because in the long run it !may! Get to 200% or more but i rather buy 1000 small coins that can boost to 50$ in the long run. So what coins is would you think is best suited for that? Some coins have a lot more availability so it is hard for me to descide. I think about Ripple being my highest investement but i would prefer some input from you guys! Tomorow or the next day i will probably buy. Or would you suggest to wait for another crash?

Thx, i have read a ton of posts on this forum and i think this community rocks. Will defenatly stay here for the long run as well :-)

It's not as easy as waiting for some small coin to pump. The pump must happen with enough volume for you to dump properly. If it pumps, but the volume of buy orders is not big, you are not going to be able to sell everything for a decent amount.

BTC has realistic chances to hit $10,000 within the next decade. Some of these coins could pump, but I don't see why exactly.

Ripple is not even a blockchain, I hold none of that.
Maidsafe still has to show that is not vaporware.
Waves, I dont know what it does.
Golem, i've seen accusations of it needing to solve some seemingly unsolvable problems for it to work.
Antshare, no idea, some chinese thing.
Dash... has been proven to be scammy.
Steem, im not sure, but i've seen some scam accusations too.
The only two I like from the list: Monero and Stratis. Monero has it's own problems, but it's an honest project. Stratis claims to solve ETH's problems with sidechains, im yet to see it, but unless something changes, ETH is pretty much doomed, so I guess Stratis could be a good hold, but we need to see if it will hold the previous resistances.

PS: Anything can pump in the world of crypto, including scams.

1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 213: Nunes vs Shevchenko 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: July 08, 2017, 05:42:49 PM
Their first met on Nunes vs Shevchenko 1 is really close match imo and i want Shevchenko win this 2nd time their met because i hate nunes and she is so cocky af. I think Shevchenko has a good chance to win too and she has a damn good odds though, worth to try imo.

Nunes is on an unstoppable streak. I think she is the best ever right now, but you cant discount Schevchenko. She has an amazing Muay Thai record and she has also defeated Holm, but I think the overall better fighter is Nunes. She has an amazing physique and strength, almost looks like a man to be honest, it's a pretty scary sight.

But the great UFC event is the next 214 one. We got Cyborg, Northcut, Woodley too beside the main event. A great night for fights and gambles.
1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitmain-Ver agenda exposed on: July 08, 2017, 04:59:42 PM

The Bitmain-Ver PBOC sponsored attack on Bitcoin is increasingly obvious as the spam attacks become increasingly less organic and happening right in key moments where hardfork FUD is being spread.

Segwit2x will soon join XT, Classic, and Unlimited into the also ever increasing list of Failed Bitcoin Takeover attempts.

Sorry, no hard forks for you.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 08, 2017, 03:48:00 PM
By underperforming I also meant unreliable. Alonso wants a car that can win, and a car that will not break. He is getting really pissed. Sure you can think he has accepted it, but he keeps complaining.

http://en.f1i.com/news/270281-alonso-win-september-i-will-stay.html

The problem with Mercedes is, they don't want to give Lewis competition, so it depends on if Lewis stays or not because he said he may be retiring soon, so that is an opportunity for Alonso to become a Mercedes pilot.
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone please give me an exact answer on alt coin taxes in this case? on: July 07, 2017, 03:36:05 PM
I will use a very specific answer. Lets say I bought NXT when it was very low. It has now gone up. So on the NXT exchange through the client I exchange the NXT for Ardor. Do I need to pay taxes on this exchange? Or do I pay the taxes when I actually turn the Ardor into USD? I am in the US. If I would need to pay taxes now then how would I even go about something like that since even tax guys don't understand this?

This is pretty obvious concern because accounts professionals don't know about Cryptocurrencies and crypto professionals don't know about accounting stuff, so both lack answers.
Well in your case. You can freely exchange cryptocurrencies (NXT to ARDR here) without any worry of taxes. Government can't in the hell spy your exchange account no matter how much profit you made. But yes when you exchange ARDR to USD and withdraw it to bank, tax authority may throw torch light on your face and inquire about sudden surge in balance. Best is to show your cryptocurrency income as profitable income from stock/shares in your tax return and pay considerable tax then to worry later.

Well, governments can ask exchanges about their records, and if you use your real data, they can find out about your trades. For example, to register in bittrex, you need to give your real name, place of birth etc, and they check against public records, so you cant enter fake names.

In any case, always pay your taxes, and try to keep track of your trades, even if you shoud only pay capital gain increase tax once you sell for USD, but what if they ask where the money came from? you are going to be able to give an explaination.. so save your trades.

I lost my trades in Mintpal because the exchange is dead and now I dont have these trades so im a bit worried about that in case they ask.. but how would they even check? they trace the bitcoin addresses? how thy know if it belongs to an exchange or not?

Honestly this is so new that it becomes so confusing.
1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum scaling issues on: July 07, 2017, 02:43:06 PM
Can Ethereum scale? How bad will it crash again with the Tezos crowfund? Just like with the Bancor crowfund or ICO, it was a disaster, the exchanges had to stop ETH trades.

Are casper and sharding scams?

Can Stratis solve the problem with the sidechain approach or is it another scam?
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites that hosts E-sports betting on: July 07, 2017, 01:45:27 PM
I used to play Starcraft an was really good at it, but as I grew older I got bored of videogames. I still watch some Starcraft matches so I would like to do some betting in there, but I dont really care about the newer games. Even Starcraft 2 was a disappointment compared to Starcraft BW. I was also looking forward to see the new Quake game, but turns out it's a bit of a flop compared to Quake 3 Arena... modern games are disappointment after disappointment unfortunately.

1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 07, 2017, 01:07:45 PM
Alonso continues his descent into frustration and madness because of the underperforming car. The team and the driver are really upset at each other. The driver because he is always complaining (with a valid reason) and the team because he is too outspoken about the car being trash.

It's unfortunate and I hope next year he can get a better car and fight for the tournament.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: July 06, 2017, 04:02:36 PM
I have personally regretted selling my STRATIS at $0.3 cent, even though i was lucky to enter into its ICO and had about 55,000 strat as at then. While i sold all my coins at profit at more than 10x, i would have made about 1,000X should i have hodl, with stratis at a time hitting $10. That would have given me a $550,000 from an investment of about $400.

Having learnt from this experience do you think any already listed coin or upcoing ICO has the potential of replicating such STRATIS success story? If you are to Hodl for atleast a year which coin would you hodl and why?

Thanks

Who knows what coin is going to able to pull a STRAT success story? the STRAT was a really incredible uprise, because it went under the radar. So you have to focus on interesting projects that are under the radar. If you buy something that is incredibly hyped, you end up buying a coin that will underperform (for example Bancor).

If you end up buying the right coin you can retire in a year, the thought task is finding the good project that's under the radar.
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 August 2017, Does everyone think it is effect to bitcoin price or not? on: July 06, 2017, 03:34:21 PM
This is obvious: It's just more FUD by bitmain and roger to trigger newbies into panic selling so they can buy cheaper coins, they also delay the activation of segwit to get more fees. They know that if they hardfork, they would be ruined by the whales. They can't hardfork or they will go bankrupt. Just hold through it and if there is a dip buy more.
1015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BIP141 support going up = price going up on: July 05, 2017, 10:43:23 PM
As we have seen in the past few hours, f2pool is already showing NYC agreement is a joke, and now it's signaling BIP141.

The certainty of BIP141 passing = price going up, so anything that makes BIP141 go up to avoid the upcoming mess of any other option makes the price go up.

Miners: stop being retards and signal for BIP141, or be ready to go bankrupt.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UET.. best ICO Ever? on: July 05, 2017, 02:08:24 PM
Pretty funny, but I will pass this one.

On a serious note, the best ICO ever was Stratis. The amount of return of investment is the highest ever, probably except Ethereum itself which also had an ICO at the beginning, but Stratis isn't a scam and ETH is.

Reports: https://www.halfpasthuman.com/Hph_reports.html

I have some offers, MP for more info.

Not curious people.

Regards!

I've never believed Cliff High report is legit. How can he predict what's going to happen just by analyzing google with some bot? because that is what the bot does as far as I know.

What are his past predictions that became true and what are his mistakes? whats the % of accuracy?
