I'm an omnivore that can enjoy a nice filet mignon, beef carppacio, and a steak tartare once in a while, but calling my food pets, giving them names, then having a ceremonial funeral with a picture on the 55" while you consume their flesh sounds like some messed up sacrificial woodoo ritual. Hey why not start them early as kids get old enough to hold a knife force them to slaughter their favorite pet they bonded to the most, that way the lack of their nutrient deficiencies would be the last of your worries
Whoa. I'm not the one who raised the meat. Nor did I name it nor slaughter it. I doubt the kid who raised it ate any of it. Yes, I honored Murray while I ate him, but I'm sure I also saluted the accompanying vegetables for giving up their lives. Remember, plants have feelings too. The problem is that they don't allow their kids to cheat. That's child abuse.
Not allowing kids to eat meat = child abuse Slaughtering animals = humane treatment, totally not animal abuse, see that only applies to dogs and cats Dogs and cats? Isn't a shot of Euthasol the preferred method of slaughter?

No disrespect to anybody living in a city or especially to you. I know by your posts you appreciate fine food and can see in your great photo a man who lives well. Just that lots of folk are very lacking in knowledge about where their food comes from. Lucky you getting a taste of that fine ethically raised steer.
No hate for vegans just pity for them and more so their children who unless their diet is very well formulated will suffer from nutritional deficiencies affecting their neurological development.
A very long time ago I spent a year in Kerala India, as the majority of the population being Hindu do not eat meat nor did I. But the diet of fruit coconut brown rice and vegetables lentils beans with home made yogurt which provides long chain protein is sound keeping them healthy. The process of making milk into yogurt also prevents them getting ill as many Asian people are lactose intolerant, losing their ability to make lactase after weaning. The first steak I eat after this period was fantastic but gave me diarrhea, sudden change in diet.
I owe a debt to you in encouragement to continue accumulating bitcoin by your constant posts with reference to " just been down to the ATM, purchased more Bitcoin"
Happy days all round.
Thanx for the kind words. No offense taken. Indeed, many people (especially suburbanites) shop in supermarkets and think food comes wrapped in plastic. They've never seen their food bring raised and harvested. Children are the only reason to take veganism seriously. From what I've seen, most vegetarians/vegans cheat and occasionally eat animal-based foods. The problem is that they don't allow their kids to cheat. That's child abuse. I'm glad my posts have had a positive influence on your accumulation. Happy days indeed.

Another city boy who knows sweet FA about producing beef.
Not all of us city boys are clueless about our food. The Angus steer on the right is Murray, being held by the lad who lovingly raised him like a pet, knowing full well that he was destined for slaughter. He was reserve grand champion at the prestigious Royal Winter Fair a few years back. The guy with the glasses, second from right, is my local neighborhood butcher in downtown Toronto. He sources his meat from small, humane producers like the happy family in the rest of the picture. Happy meat is good meat. Of course it's free of artificial hormones and unnecessary antibiotics. Murray was raised on forage and silage and finished with barley. Needless to say he was harvested humanely, locally. I was lucky to get a couple of steaks from the front part of his rib section (with large spinalis dorsi muscles), plus a couple of flat irons (infraspinatus muscles). While we were enjoying him we had his picture up on the 55" display and toasted him, thanked him, and complimented him on his fine flavor and texture. He was delicious. ____ Don't hate on vegans. They're just victims of a neurosis-based eating disorder.

In the case of the government, they will probably give it away.
To millionaires and billionaires, just to be clear. The poor it's claimed to be taken for usually only see a small fraction of it. Rob from the rich and give to the bureaucrats. Oh wait. We're the rich. Fuck the bureaucrats (and the Bureaupublicans).

Good morning Bitcoinland. Well, here we are again, battling for $50k... currently $49485USD/$61845CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Thank gawd I finished paying for our lake last week. Let's hope that was the bottom. POLL: Whom, on this wall, will cop the Biden CGT increase??
My guess is nobody.
NOTE: I don't believe it will affect Bob, you can go ahead and buy the rest of TX!
If I was an American, this would affect me. Luckily I'm not. I sold a little over $2m during March and April to buy our lake. I'll have to sell another half mil worth next year to pay the taxes. Then enough in 2023 to pay the taxes on that, ad infinitum.Top CGT rate here is 26.76%... bad enough. At least my remaining coins are tax-free. No wealth tax here (yet). Bawb? I'm pretty sure the bulk of his ranch came from coins liquidated in 2020, so he escapes the worst of this. Others? I was curious about that. I'm sure a few OGs qualify. Once again, I think Elwar's cruise ship money came from coins liquidated before 2021. Anyone else? I wonder if gembitz is completely or just slightly retarded.
Or just a kid trying to be cool.

I sold some BTC in February at the 57K top. The problem is, I bought crypto back after the dump. So all in all I do not have any fiat in my hands again
You sold Bitcoin and bought crypto? You should sell all your crypto and buy Bitcoin.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still going basically sideways since last weekend's little correction... currently $54762USD/$68425 (Bitcoinaverage). OK. Enough consolidation. Onward and upward. Go Bitcoin go. It's just so hard to take profits. I never took any profit in the last 8 years. And it's always this greedy thinking "what if I take profits and we go higher...". I bet many here are trapped in this swampy thinking as well no?
My first goal was to take profits at 40k. Then I Moved it to 50k. Then I said ok 60k for sure. And so on... Now I say ok 95k.
Just don't "take profits" according to price. Spend your coins only as necessary.

It’s a daily chart spanning around 6 months or so. It's upside down (flipped vertically).

I feel like it’s starting to come around and start going on an uptrend after going down for a couple of months or so.
What are you talking about? Bitcoin has hit a new ATH every month this year. There's no reason for that to stop now. Start an uptrend?

Poor.

We can't stop traders, investors, and holders to take the opportunity of selling their Bitcoin high price. Of course, I will do the same. Holding is not forever, we sometimes do selling.
This wasn't about profit taking. This was leveraged longs being liquidated... fools losing their money.

Cascading liquidations caused by leveraged exchanges traders. Manipulators will manipulate.
ftfy Leveraged trading in Bitcoin is just plain stupid. You can't blame the exchanges and manipulators for shearing the sheep. _____ Edit: Oops. Forgot to make it a haiku. Leveraged trading In Bitcoin is just plain dumb. Tarders are morons.
