1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty][ICO] BetKing Bankroll Token on: July 31, 2017, 01:55:16 PM
Bounty website isn't working. How do we get paid? Last time I checked I had little over 1200 stakes. You should update the main page so new people don't start joining this campaign.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OAX] openANX - Real World Application of Decentralized Exchanges on: July 30, 2017, 04:15:13 PM

Liqui also a wallet . But cannot be traded.

those are IOU. You cannnot withdraw/deposit. You should wait for openANX to announce the exchange.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Rollout of 260,000+ Bitcoin-Accepting Stores in Japan Begins on: July 29, 2017, 06:00:09 AM

I doubt any store would openly accept bitcoin and wait for hours just to confirm customer payment. Imagine the line queues. LOL
What a joke. Bitcoin is not for store transactions. Litecoin is the way to go.

I would prefer to use BTC directly even if I have to wait for transaction to go through instead of converting it to fiat and then paying fees on top of that and most people shop online so waiting time shouldn't be an issue.  Wink
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: July 29, 2017, 05:44:47 AM
Do you leave your computer on all the time? What about the cost of electricity? What happens if your hard drive crashes and you lose their files? Do you lose the tokens from your collateral? I have a junk pc set up that I don't use, perhaps I should use it for this.

- Yes, you need to leave it on 24/7. Hosts need to fulfill Proofs of Storage over the course of the contract. If they don't (uptime of 97%) they lose both the potential earnings of the contract and the collateral put on that contract

- If done properly, electricity costs can be negligible (under 50Watts). Consider low TDP CPUs, 5.4k rpm instead of 7.2k rpm disks...

- If it crashes and you lose the data, you miss the Proofs of Storage and so you lose the contract and the collateral. If you have a multi-disk setup, using some RAID redundancy is a great idea to prevent data loss

Interesting. Thanks for the valuable info, I'll see if I can set it up and get at least one contract running to see how things work. IfI use 20 TB, what's ROI on that with lets say $1/TB
1025  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing Online Casino Relaunching Platform Alongside ICO on: July 29, 2017, 05:38:43 AM
It has been closed before and Dean wants to relaunch it but I dont know why theres a need for an ICO if he affords to do it so. But business is business he wants to get some investors to support the relaunch just like any other alt coin. It can increase bankroll and maximum winning amount.
I think reading this(https://www.bitcoin-millionaire.com/business-betking/) interview with dean might help you understand why ICO is needed. i'm gonna invest in both the icos betking and bitdice.

I think you can't go wrong when it comes to investing in Casino ICO. It's a huge market and there is profit to be made for investors.

anyways, does anyone have a link to betking ann thread? I can't find it anymore.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OAX] openANX - Real World Application of Decentralized Exchanges on: July 29, 2017, 05:32:13 AM
Tokens received. Thanks to the openANX team for smooth transaction! I will keep an eye for future updates.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: July 28, 2017, 12:15:57 PM
Is it still lucrative to "mine" Sia by providing disk space? How much will I need in order to make good revenues?

Offering your disk space is called "hosting" or "farming" (In opposition to "mining"). You set up your own pricing, but you have to be competitive in order to get file contracts. Top hosts target to $1-2/Tb/month.

If have access to cheap HDDs, under certain scales and setups you could make ROI in less than a year. Right now the network is still underused, but the usage is growing fast, so probably in half year or 1 year good hosts will be able to host dozens of Terabytes an be profitable. Of course you'll still need cheap hardware (24/7 server-like infrastructure) and good bandwidth. But the advantages, compared to mining, is that electricity costs are minimal and there is not a increase in difficulty over time: if you remain competitive, you keep getting contracts

Do you leave your computer on all the time? What about the cost of electricity? What happens if your hard drive crashes and you lose their files? Do you lose the tokens from your collateral? I have a junk pc set up that I don't use, perhaps I should use it for this.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO bubble on: July 28, 2017, 12:06:39 PM
I don't think so, mate. As much as we want bubble to pop, it's not happening anytime soon. ICO has been going on forever and they'll continue as long as there is money to be made.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex.com gona delist LTC !!! on: July 28, 2017, 12:03:13 PM
now why would Poloniex or any other exchange delist a coin with huge market cap. This makes no sense, there is nothing on poloneix twitter or anywhere else. It sounds like regular maintenance.
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop all the ICOS now! SEC is coming! on: July 27, 2017, 12:54:48 PM
You mean ICO will be regulated and most of the new initial coins offer will be stop or if you did not meat up to the standard your coins will not be listed. I have find out that most of the regulatory agency are control by government and politicians who are almost the same with scamming ICO owners! No different, just the same.

exactly. now you won't be getting scammed by individuals but rather big corporations. lol
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX [ICO] end of June: making Blockchain assets spendable on: July 27, 2017, 12:11:48 PM
Though this listing has zero impact on the health of project because this exchange is almost dead for legit coins. I like the changing situation of ICO's where some strict regulations are going to protect the users. I am happy that I hold Pay tokens because they will be among winners and become more valuable in future.

I've looked through this project and it looks very similar to Monaco, Xapo etc. What makes you think this will be the winner? just curious
1032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: July 26, 2017, 04:23:52 PM
Damn. How can other exchanges be safe from this? I don't think any one of them tries to verify where the money is coming from, that's the whole point of bitcoin. anonymity.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: July 26, 2017, 03:58:52 PM
How long does it take for transaction to go through, transferred some MCO from myetherwallet  to bittrex and hour ago and it hasn't arrived. Where can I check the status of the transaction?

https://www.myetherwallet.com/#check-tx-status

It usually takes less than five minutes.

It reversed after few hours. I had to change the gas limit to whooping 55000 to make it go through.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens when ETH is the #1 coin? on: July 26, 2017, 03:54:43 PM
I'm not sure how ETH could ever take over BTC when it's moving up and down with BTC price. It's not as independent and it seems like it relies on BTC.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: July 26, 2017, 03:50:08 PM
It's not stable because it's used globally. Bitcoin in China is same as Bitcoin in US or anywhere else. If everyone in the world was using $, it would not be stable either. You never have to convert it to something else (other than fiat).
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex problem on: July 25, 2017, 03:41:35 PM
just sent small amount of ETH to bittrex and they are not showing up. Does anyone know what seems to be the problem? They show on blockchain

You should wait for it to show up and don't be panic since it's so early to decide wheter you've got a problem regarding to your deposits their, And I tried that before when I put some low fee on my ETH deposit that's why if I reached bittrex I make sure that I placed a huge fee to make my transaction faster. Your balance will reflect soon so relax and chill   Cool.

Thanks man. How long did it take for yours to show up? It has been 8 hours still no show

Please make sure you have sent greater than .05 ETH after the fee to your address.  You can enter your address on a site like etherscan.io to see the current balance in the address.  If it is under .05 you'll need to deposit more until it reaches an amount greater than .05 ETH at which point we will credit.

This is already listed in the deposit instructions on the site.

If you continue to have an issue please join our slack and post a ticket number and we'll take a look.

http://slack.bittrex.com will get you an invite.

Thanks!

Ryan @ Bittrex

I see that must've been the problem. I'll have to try this week again to see if it goes through. I'll let you know if I face any issue. Thanks!
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are being used. on: July 25, 2017, 07:32:34 AM
So many of these ICOs are really outsiders who have no interest in crypto but just want to grab from the pool of the crypto community.

I look at many of them and they are just fucking bankers who have hired a crypto developer to make a grab for the crypto community's money. Here is a perfect example, why do they need the blockchain to start a hedge fund?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2003741.0

I'm not against all ICO's but most are just using us as a crypto community. Until we refuse to be ass raped by these banking interests we are destined to lose money to them. We need to invest in projects that are pure crypto and not get all wet pants about any project involving some big money interests. We all lose then, they win.

BTW play spot the crypto nerd among the bankers selling out in the pictures of the team!

People have been going on about this for years, there is not much you can do except save yourself. People will keep investing no matter what you tell them but they'll learn when they get burn.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another Ethereum ICO get hacked. on: July 25, 2017, 07:29:21 AM
Again, again and again.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/07/24/yet-another-ethereum-ico-gets-hacked-veritaseum-loses-us4-5m/

Unstopable hacks!

This time Veritaseum ICOs token based on ETH suffers from atack with 4.7 million $$$ looses.

Obviously Ehtereum Network have a massive problems. And devs will always tell you that this is imature of experimental technology  Wink
How far this will goes?

Its madness I never heard before about so many hacks on blokchain before Ethereum and ICOs appeared.
It is the 3rd hack for the month. Its just tooo much.
Bitcoin was never hacked at all so as many other coins around. Just WTF is going on???

I think that has more to do with ETH price, that's why you didn't hear of it as much. Not as many people bothered to hack when it was at $1.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitDice - Join The ICO Of The Biggest Crowdfunded Casino With 2300Ƀ PROFIT on: July 23, 2017, 12:19:00 PM
What about USDT? Can I will invest in Tether? I think, investment in BTC after 1 August will be very risky.

ICO doesn't begin till 15th, you have plenty of time. You can use other currency if you aren't comfortable using BTC.
