1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: January 03, 2018, 11:46:41 AM
This is a problem for nvidia.

You need an update to install any recent driver packages;  which will not be pushed to you or install-able until activated....  It will fail to install the windowsupdate nvidia driver until the update is performed;  which is reliant on activation.

It was a recent hurdle I learned about when doing machine upgrades.  Couldn't install any nvidia driver until it has the OS updated to the creators update I believe.

Yeah, that is a tricky one. Fortunately, you can get the 1709 build ISO from http://windowsiso.net/windows-10-iso/windows-10-creators-update-1709-download-build-16299-15/ then just make a bootable USB or DVD and install as per usual. Then I manually d/l'ed and installed the NVIDIA driver package (sans GeForce Experience) and aside from some incredibly annoying things as a result of Win10 not being activated, it is mining away.

Simplest solution:

Install and activate 7;  do not use AutoKMS to activate....  Now update 7.  Install 10 as upgrade form CD or USB after SP1 has installed, and one more round of updates install after the SP1 portion; don't install 10 before this point.  10 will be pre-activated when finished.  Just process updates and you are off ot the races legitimately with no out of pocket expense.

Hmmm, don't you still have to pay for Win7 in this scenario?

My recent issue with win10 was with a recent download;  well, the ISO available not long ago.....  Ill see if a newer ISO is available on their website.  Most of my internet links are via cellular;  saving on update bandwidth will be a godsend.

You can easily use an OEM license as is found discarded on old laptops/desktops and whatnot.....   Or if you have access to an OEM activation tool for manufacturers/distributors....

But AutoKMS;  the kind that gets broken by a future windows update;  will not work with the 10 free upgrade;  as its a way they kept people from getting illegitimate copies of 10.

So far the six-slot Onda with integrated CPU works well. Just the annoying Windows stickiness (allegedly linked to the 1709 creators' update - other rigs now seem to exhibit some sort of UI stickiness as well since I updated them).

That's good news; I've got two of the same board (with the Celeron CPU) on their way from China now.

Question for you and the group in general: do you bother with activating Windows 10, buy sketch keys from Kinguin, et al., or pony up for an OEM license from Newegg or the like? I wouldn't bother but it looks like you need to activate Windows if for no other other reason to stop Update from rebooting your machine every night, as it seems prone to do...

I don't bother.. it's still legit even without activation AFAIK.

i too have to vouch for ledger wallets.... they are pretty awesome.

Glad to be in on the 2018 thread.   I'm sure it will be quite a ride in the coming months!
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any guides to setting up Zpool.ca mining? on: January 01, 2018, 06:58:10 PM
so if I'm mining lyra2rev2 with ccminer and want verge coin and monacoin how would I go about doing that? they are both the same algo. is it like this:

-u walletforverge, walletformona -p c=XVG,MONA

This is not a solo mining pool, you pick an algo to mine, and you pick one payout coin to get paid in.   Your miner(s) get pushed whatever workunits the pool wants you working on.

-u vergewalletaddress -p c=XVG,lyra2v2

Hey there,

Im interested in pointing my L3+ on zpool because it has so much more scrypt coins to mine than MPH.
I hope to not miss out on some profitable coins that are not on MPH. (Is that an right assumption?)

Does anybody have a go-to setting how to do that?
Its running already, but im unsure about the d=128000 setting shown on the frontpage of zpool.ca
Does it do anything?
Also, I would like to set the payout currency to LTC.
Does it make any sense, can the pool payout in LTC?
Which coin would be better to be payed out regarding the high transaction fees of Bitcoin?

Can someone enlighten me with up to date info? Wink

Thanks!

I've been milking two GTX960 and a GTX980 for quite some time now...

I bought the GTX980 when it was first out;  cost me ~750; and mining on nvidia wasn't really that profitable then.... I think you got maybe 14Mh out of Lyra2v2 back then?  But it did end up reaching ROI at current active market rates as time moved on.  Most of the earnings were spent to pay the cost of living in '15 and prior.

I still keep those three cards in a trio machine;  They happily hash away at default settings around ~500-580w depending on algo.  The only things I have done are:  re-paste all cards twice now, and replace both seized cooling fans on the GTX980 as I ran them at 100% due to the low airflow of where I was running it originally and after.

Currently, I am seeing ~0.008/mo on those 3 cards....  Which isn't too shabby at all.   They will get moved to the secondary location to die; or until sold (out of my home) when I get my onda D8P board populated with eight 10 series cards soon.....   Waiting on a few cars to sell to make that happen......

So yeah;  It so far, has been extremely profitable to keep my old junk online.  7 series and prior cards are electricity hogs.  I will only break those back out once I start running a generator here full-time to run a large farm at home off the grid.  I have ~25Kw of generator here.... waiting to be used.....

The 980 has paid for itself more than 3 times now.  [figuring its value at each instance] When it paid itself off the first time, it was still worth $400.   The second time, it was worth $250.  The third;  $250....   and guess what its still worth.....

The 960's, I took each in instead of a payment of $120; a few hours of physical labor..   Totally worth.   I haven't even cared to calc ROI on them..... who cares at that price... lol

I replied to this shortly after you posted originally. Yobit is not on the same chain as ccex and my pool. And not by a little. Seems they are vastly different.

oah god... more yobit shenanigans.....  I didn't see your original reply.... thanks for the heads up.  Ill push a request to them to re-check which chain they are on and if its the correct one.  Who knows, maybe they will take some action...

Hey crackfoo;  did you ever get around to enabling vsync (VSX here on zpool) on yobit which labels it as XVS?   I noticed its still offline on the xevan algo.....  which is assumed to be caused by the other exchange being disabled for now....

I will admit;  solo mining BSD has been pretty profitable.......
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 26, 2017, 03:00:38 AM
Should I run .bat file as administrator? If I remember right I was supposed to run multipoolminer's .bat as admin, dunno if it did anything.
Also, still would love to know a way to stop miners from poping up and stealing focus.

If you don't mind it being completely in the background;  and only close-able through the task manager, check the batch link in my sig... miner hider... its a little script run as admin that puts it all in the background/system space.  Instead of creating miner.bat, point it at the nemosminer batch.... as well as create the files in the nemosminer folder.

Hi!

NemosMiner-v2.3c-beta
Loading BTC rate from 'api.coinbase.com'..
Loading pool stats..
Error contacting pool, retrying..

Maybe something happened with the pool?

Not sure, im seeing API online, and miners connected:
http://zpool.ca/?address=1kLsGT9egk3utSKZH46ydTbKj5oMnmBoN

how often are you re-checking the stats in your config?  Might play a part, but not sure personally.   The nemosminer thread may be a better place to ask about this type of question.

can i receive Verge instead of Btc ?
Thanks
Henry

yes.

use a verge wallet address for username, and use a password similar to this example:
c=XVG,scrypt

Looks like XVS and AMS are offline on the xevan port. (greyed out)  Did the coinbox go offline?

We're disabling @CryptoCurrEncyX exchange for the next month, until Jan 20th+ so they can enjoy their extended holiday season. Currencies found on only this exchange will have 0 value so please switch to something else if you are getting paid with one of these currencies. Notably BitcoinZ, Futcoin, BitQuark, CryptoEscudo, GoldenBird, Vsync and probably a few more I've not noticed.

Vsync is on YoBit under the name XVS.  I'm not sure if you can do something to enable it, but I thought I would mention.
1054  Economy / Goods / [WTS] QSC ISA 750 & 450 Amplifiers on: December 23, 2017, 03:02:40 AM
I have a huge lot of amplifiers to sell:

Currently I have:

17x QSC ISA750 https://www.qsc.com/cinema/products/power-amplifiers/isa-series/isa750/

12x QSC ISA450 https://www.qsc.com/cinema/products/power-amplifiers/isa-series/isa450/

They are all packed in boxes that the upgrade units came out of for easy transportation and storage.

They all came out of an air-conditioned environment and were in active use.  The location I got them from upgraded all amplifiers and speakers.

Accepting offers.

Picked up in the south bay area, California.

If you want to arrange a shipper to pickup and pack for shipping, you can, but I am not going to be responsible for any of that... but that will happen after payment is received in full and cleared.

Estimate for keccak -- is it per GH or MH?

* values in mBTC/MH/day, per PH for sha256 & GH for scrypt, blake, decred, x11, quark, qubit, kS for equihash
Does "GH" part here need any updating?

ill break it up for you:

* values in mBTC/MH/day,
per PH for sha256
& GH for scrypt, blake, decred, x11, quark, qubit
kS for equihash

The transactions FEEs for BTC are incredibly expensive and no end in sight...  BTC transaction processing is so ridiculous right now!!

Is there anyway that the POOL can change your primary payout currency to something other than BTC???  Like LTC, BCH, DASH or ETH?

I know individually you can change your worker password to get another currency but that only works if there is enough in the pool's wallet for that coin.  Is anyone doing this and this works without issue?

The BTC transactions are killing the small miner's profit...!

This is why the blocksize increase was necessary, but that's another discussion.

To lay it out clearly like it was just a few pages ago:

you do not pay the TX fees to get paid.  The only TX fees you pay a part of out of your share is the coins being sent to the exchange to be sold, and the coins being sent back to the pool to pay you.... those come out of the lump sum.  The pool pays the rest out of their % share.

In the end;  its less profit for the pool owner.   Paying the TX fees for exchange is the cost of having your funds auto-exchanged.... a small price to pay to not have to deal with holding, selling, transferring, receiving, etc etc etc.

Vosk's new video on the D8P board was nice to see.   Seems pretty seemless to run 8 GPU, and I can only imagine doing risers for the extra 4 GPU to see if there are any quirks there.  But I am super stoked i jumped on the first batch.  first time for being a "first timer" lol;  I normally test the waters first.

I Hope to finally get my board up online soon so I can have everything at home consolidated into one machine outside finally.   Depending on how well it works, I may recommend them to friends to build using them and the frame that could be bought here on BCT in the future.

Phil;  Ive been meaning to get back to you about the cpu... i'm going to wait for the market to settle a little then resend the pm with confirmation before I shoot =)

OP, due to Bitcoin network = trash and high fee friendly, 0,0025BTC payouts are getting stucked more than days to be paid because the low fee adopted, please change the minimum payout to 0,005 or 0,01BTC and increase the fee for tx confirm fast, please.

I'm about to receive a new payment and the other one didn't even get confirmed: e85b944e5614ceed445e650b3b38c7b1a7b62018220872ecc3a3a8c46c0270b4

I am new here from the NiceHash, same block didn't get confirmed. e85b944e5614ceed445e650b3b38c7b1a7b62018220872ecc3a3a8c46c0270b4
Is this an usual thing for Zpool, since payment from NiceHash quite fast usually within few hours.
I guess I will just wait.

post mine to address so i can verify its a tx number coming from the pool, as it will be publicly on your wallet page.

doing a google search yielded no results on the site.

My recent tx have all come through fine.

http://zpool.ca/?address=1kLsGT9egk3utSKZH46ydTbKj5oMnmBoN

without this information I ask for, nobody can help you.
I clicked on your resent transaction and it shows 0 confirmations... My last 2 daily payouts have 0 confirmations. I'm sure it will sort itself out.

Previous TX's I was speaking of mostly.

this current one you are clicking makes me give you this link: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

That's not a small number.  You have to wait in line like the rest of us.....

So this is exactly why I say my recent tx have come through fine;  because they are recorded on the network, if not already paid to me......

0.00234518 BTC payout unconfirmed

to

0.00000706 BTC Fees?
0.00139486 BTC Fees?

wtf?

I suggest you read from page one of this thread.  it has been discussed.  that is an estimate.  Its always an estimate right up until they are sold on the exchange and credited back to you.   Read up on how the yiimp exchange process works and fees involved for each different coin type exchanged as well as for each step in the process, etc.

I' m having a big problem, and would like help.

I'm trying to mine xevan with a rx570 in zpool, but the pool provide only a few works and show a very low hash rate like 5Kh/s.

This is very strange, because i made tests with cpuminer and in this case the pool provide work at every second an the site show hash rates much higher than with my GPU.

Why this is happening?  Someone in the pool could help to fix this?

my guess is the miner app you are using...

These are all nvidia cards:
http://zpool.ca/?address=1kLsGT9egk3utSKZH46ydTbKj5oMnmBoN

I see nothing abnormal... aside from the common frontend dropouts.
