1041  Economy / Economics / Re: Ethereum managed to pass bitcoin in transaction fees last week on: October 04, 2019, 07:58:48 AM
The same problem in terms of scalability has been affecting both Bitcoin and Ethereum but we have already seen the easing of the Bitcoin network on this matter I am not sure if it is because transaction volume is going down or because of changes implemented on the network like Segwit or Lightning. Considered as possible heir apparent to Bitcoin, from time to time, we are seeing many problems and flaws cropping up with Ethereum which one way or another push many to doubt the platform in terms of its long-term viability and stability. The challenges for Ethereum is known by the whole industry and even acknowledge by no other than Vitalik Buterin himself. I am still a strong believer of Ethereum though so I am wishing them the luck they need in answering the many possible problems clogging the whole network and putting everything on question.
1042  Local / Pamilihan / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Ban rate. 96/310 members = 30.96% on: October 04, 2019, 04:34:31 AM

I spoke with the yobit account and they're talking about implementing a merit requirement(no timetable). Agreed I wish i had more control so that users couldn't join and get paid for a few posts before i ban them.

I have been expecting this move from Yobit and Yahoo so they can further control the avalance of spams and shits happening in the forum. Now, I am also hoping that I can qualify with the minimum merit requirment. We participants are hoping that this campaign can last for months so we have to do our obiligations to follow the rules at all times.

Sa ngayon, malakas pa rin naman ang negosyo sa mga malalaking exchanges though they are always experiencing the ups and downs also of the marketplace which is just normal, anyway. Going towards the end of the year, medyo di talaga very rosy ang marketplace but we are already looking forward to the year 2020 which many expect can be the better year for cryptocurrency...or so we hoped.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Market Cap And Bitcoin Facing Resistance on: October 04, 2019, 03:02:35 AM
I've seen the price of BNB few months ago doubled but now it's lesser than that. But I'm more concerned with bitcoin, this is the foundation of the market and all of these alts are putting themselves at the back of it. I'm not so very good at analysis but all I can say that we're still good unless we see it go back to $5,000 or below. We are at the very last quarter of the year and I'll remain patient and will wait for a good run.

BNB was hailed as one of the brightest coin of the year with the potential to reach as high as $100 supposedly before the end of 2019 but right now, following the trend by Bitcoin, it is also pulling back and is currently at $15.63 as I am posting this. The same thing happened to Ethereum which has no choice but to also go with the path trudged by Bitcoin and is stationed at $174.71. Right now, Bitcoin is holding on to the $8,200 level though there is that continuing pressure for it to go lower.

As we are entering the last quarter of the year, the market is looking for some good developments that can be the catalysts or bait for the bull to return and make a roar. Sadly, the last quarter is known as a lull period and that can mean that we might not be seeing some good upswing movements in the next three months. Though we have to remain very positive here as long as the fundamentals have not dramatically shifted in my view we can be fine looking at things long-term. I am now fixing my eyes on 2020 and the things that next year can bring to cryptocurrency.
1045  Economy / Economics / Re: How did the Bakkt launch go? Quick recap on: October 04, 2019, 02:36:39 AM
Alright so Bakkt launched this thing and then the price of Bitcoin sank faster than whale shit.   What happened? How do I sign up and get an account at Bakkt?  Did Bakkt get rekkt?  Or did Bakkt do the rekkting?

Sadly, the Bakkt launch became the biggest contributing factor to the recent and still continuing dip of Bitcoin. Or to be specific, it is the fact that Bakkt failed to get the expected volume of transactions which many assumed can be an avalanche but turned to be a dud. It tanked. It bombed. And then it pushed Bitcoin downward.

I read in this article, that there seems to be a similarity with what happened to the IPO launch of Facebook back in 2012 where we saw that days after the said event the value nose-dived significantly losing as much as 50% of its value but right now things are going right.

In other words, there can still be a hope for Bakkt and maybe what we are seeing now are just birth pains and that they can eventually avoid the fate of the Bitcoin futures. Otherwise, this can mean that the market is not really that ready for a platform like Bakkt...maybe we can say right platform, right product but introduced at the wrong section of history.
1046  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin in Bangladesh. on: October 04, 2019, 01:46:11 AM
Many people say the bitcoin system in our Bangladesh is illegal. but i think every people have wants equal rights. Angry

I understand what you are trying to tell us here. People should have access to Bitcoin regardless of race, religion and economic situation and all countries and their governments should be respecting this right. However, as you may know, we are not living in an ideal or perfect world and the reality is that power is on the hands of the government and not really on the people. A person living in a country that decided to ban the ownership, use and trading of Bitcoin has no legal choice but to obey although, of course, there are many ways one can get hold of Bitcoin counteracting the ban but has to be done in discreet manner otherwise you can be feeling the heat and great inconvenience which we don't want to encounter in the first place. Maybe the best thing to do is to associate yourself with a group of people who are on the same mindset on Bitcoin and then start influencing people in the government so they can reverse their decision though this is never an easy task.
1047  Local / Pamilihan / Re: You Can Renew Business Registrations Online Thanks to PayMaya, GCash, LinkBiz on: October 03, 2019, 02:39:37 PM

Magiging malaking tulong ang option na to using online payment gateways para makabayad ng dapat bayaran sa pag-renew ng mga business registrations. This should have been done years ago as the country is getting behind with the digital and online revolution.  Now, I am hoping that more and more government offices (including local government units even down to the barangay level) will be adopting the same. I am not sure if there is already a laid-down policy by the government on this but this is a good direction that we should support and encourage. This can save a lot of time and a lot of effort and of course money on the side of the  business owners and also with the government as well. This can significantly minimize red tape which we know has been bogging the government for a long, long time. Lastly, I am wishing they also consider cryptocurrency linking with Coins.ph for that matter...that would be a blast!
1048  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-02] Bitcoin Logo on Futsal Florentia, Serie A Women’s Football Team on: October 03, 2019, 01:34:07 PM

Instead of discussing whether this sponsorship will have a good impact in promoting for more awareness for Bitcoin, I would instead concentrate on any positive contribution this development can have towards the much-dreamed adoption of cryptocurrency by the general population. I know that this sponsorship can just be a drop in the ocean but who knows one or two of the audience can eventually be persuaded to a part of the Bitcoin bandwagon. We have to remember that raising an awareness for anything can take a lot of effort, time and of course money. Bitcoin supporters namely Silvia Bossio and Luca De Luca both deserve a big kudos for this and let's hope that more and more sports events can be tied up with Bitcoin soon.
1049  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Crypto-friendly Bank experiences on: October 03, 2019, 11:12:01 AM

Yung sa Security Bank medyo napag-usapan namin ang Bitcoin and they specifically forbid me to send money na galing sa cryptocurrency to my account otherwise I can be risking investigation and possible holding of the funds.

1051  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not a bubble! on: October 03, 2019, 08:44:54 AM

Here we have a strong argument that supports the fact that Bitcoin is not like the traditional bubble that can burst and will just be gone into the air without any chance of it coming back...or essentially defining the bubble as a one-time phenomenon that can eventually and suddenly just disappear. There is no question that many times Bitcoin do resemble like the bubbles in the past but time and time again Bitcoin had shown its strong resiliency and that capacity to come back against the current. Anybody can have the liberty to call Bitcoin as just another bubble but within its colorful 10-year history lies the answer to the question that some people can be asking. How many financial bubbles in the past was able to withstand the predictions of doom and gloom? I think that on  this regard it is Bitcoin that is an exemplary example. And that is leading us to think that there must be something with Bitcoin making it a great survivor, a leader and a  great success!

I hope they can also be posted in here for everybody's guidance. Thanks a lot.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Quantum Computer Kill Bitcoin on: October 03, 2019, 06:25:19 AM

I am not a cryptographer myself so maybe here we are just discussing on a normal guy's level. As far I know, quantum computing really has the potential to successfully decrypt the private keys and therefore can be the biggest threat to Bitcoin. In the past few days, this topic got spread around because Google announced that they already have the technology at hand which many of us supposed  should still be years ahead. Now, there is that fear in the Bitcoin community on quantum computing and whether this can really be utilized against Bitcoin which can be its end. Nobody can really be sure if the quantum computing developed by Google can effectively be the one to stop Bitcoin. This can be the one we can only wait and watch. As the technology is on the hands of Google, I don't think they will be irresponsible to just use it indiscriminately as this will have many legal repercussions which the company will not want to go through. On the other hand, we have to remember that if there is a demand someone will eventually fill the shoes therefore we should be expecting developers to come up with ways to counteract the power of quantum computing to balance things out. And this can actually make things exciting.
1054  Economy / Economics / Re: The re-accumulation period is in on: October 03, 2019, 02:37:34 AM

I could not understand why many people who are into Bitcoin can easily be led to desperation whenever there is a dip in its price movement. All they have to do is to search Google to look for answers for the "predicament" that they think they are in. Bitcoin is not known to be very volatile for nothing and what we experienced in the past few days is just manifestation of this character and nothing to worry about. I am happy to see that some people made the effort of posting charts so as to tell us the truth that this is just a very temporary thing and that instead of looking at it negatively we might as well increase our Bitcoin exposure or holding. This is the time to accumulate more.
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 Years From Now on: October 02, 2019, 04:05:44 PM

I am not good in predictions and we know that most predictions on Bitcoin even by people who are supposed to be experts can be way out of market realities. Honestly, nobody can be sure about Bitcoin within another span of 10 years. Will it be finally playing its role as a currency or medium of exchange with maybe around a billion of people or will it just be another footnote in the continuing saga of human development? Well, all I can say is that I am wishing that all the positive things we are dreaming for Bitcoin can come true especially for the holders and believers.

1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now Among The Top 30 Currencies in The Entire World on: October 02, 2019, 12:54:07 PM

Rather than for me to find out what can be wrong with that article, I would say that maybe we should just be happy that Bitcoin is now recognized and on the map as one of the top currencies of the world. Of course, Bitcoin is not perfect though it is still evolving as it just left its 10th year anniversary. Compared to other fiat currencies which existed for decades and even centuries, Bitcoin should be considered as just a teenager in this game and so still has a big space to grow with. There are issues with its adoption and other things but those are just normal concerns and will hopefully be address gradually. There is no question that Bitcoin is now popular and has been bearing the flag of the entire cryptocurrency industry and this forum in the first place could not have come about had it not been because of this coin.

If we want to be fair, the Bitcointalk sentiment should be limited to the analysis in the wall. The noise that accompanies any rise or collapse is associated with the human nature that hates the loss, but the more a person knows how to profit in any case and also increased confidence in the system of cryptocurrencies. Ratings in Twitter seem to people with experience about cryptocurrencies because what drives them to publish is personal motivation, unlike forums that may be a large part of the publicity or beginners trying to learn. I see the recent correction as healthy.

I agree with your analysis. We live at an era where all people can express any side of human nature using the many available platforms online thus we can now gauge human sentiments and emotions on-time hence we are always bombarded with things that we agree with and with those that we don't. As far as I know, the noise made by some on the recent dip of Bitcoin is just a temporary thing and I would say just adding up to the overall dynamics happening everyday. Yes, it is the weakness of human nature to express fear and sometimes desperation when things are not going well (either real of just perception). The way I am seeing it now, there is that consensus that this pullback is quite a healthy one and should be viewed positively especially in the light of Bitcoin's 10-year history. There is nothing to be alarmed and we should just be calm, relax and just for Bitcoin to get back to its feet once more.

I am aware that in its previous campaign here in the forum, Yobit created a chaotic wave of spams and unccessary posts dahil nga gusto nating kumita ng pera. Right now, I am always careful to know more on the rules and to make to sure I am following them all the time. I am just curious...do we have the exact definition of post bursting? Some are suggesting at least 15 minutes interval between each post...any comment?
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is in Short Term Accumulation Stage before Halving FOMO on: October 02, 2019, 04:30:42 AM

As one of the many Bitcoin faithful holders, I am hoping that next year's scheduled halving can be the catalyst that Bitcoin needs to do the much-dreamed bull run or at least for the price to get near the $20K it once reached in 2017. There had been a good deal of good news so far this year but none of them was able to push Bitcoin higher than it should be. The commencement operation of the Bakkt platform instead of catapulting Bitcoin to new heights became a big disappointment (for now, at east). In the past, halving events were all taken as very positive news for Bitcoin and I am sure that in 2020 it can be the year;s most anticipated and celebrated occurrence.
