Thanks Stephen, I'll be doing that as a last resort as I'm looking to minimize risk.

Hey all,

I'm looking for $1000, either in MtGox USD or Dwolla USD.

I'm seeking the loan because I want to go long BTC before the reward drop. I have enough bitcoins to sell and cover the loan if btc does go down during the loan. I can prove this via a message signing or predetermined transfer.

I have a good rep here and on -otc so I wouldn't think trust would be a problem, but if it is I will be more than happy to further identify myself.

Cheers,
Garrett

After playing a bit, it definitely would be more fun with instant deposits. To combat theft, you could put withdrawals into a "pending" state on accounts that have not had their deposits confirmed yet.
1087  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: November 22, 2012, 06:55:35 AM
Isn't 2550 of the 10420 up for sale with no buyer?

I was not on GLBSE for the last few days before the shutdown, so I do not know how many were still for sale. If you have this information it'd be most helpful.

This is a great thing to hear.

Also, is there any plans to make Cognitive a legitimate company and avoid the current security exchanges until the crowdfunding laws are up and running?

Optimally, that is what I want to happen. I have no absolute plan as of now (I don't believe any of the assets do), and I will be researching and presenting a plan in the coming weeks. Anyone who wants to help with this process is more than welcome to!

Cheers,
Garrett

I just threw a few fish into the pond. This should be fun Tongue
1089  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: November 21, 2012, 08:32:54 PM
This morning I received a partial list of shareholders!

As of now only 4378 of the 10420 shares issued are accounted for, which is great, but we still have a ways to go. I will be sending a mass email asking shareholders to make an exchange account (likely at http://BTCT.co ) once we get more shares accounted for.

I'll be updating you as I am updated...

Best,
Garrett

1092  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoins? on: November 21, 2012, 06:37:17 AM
and again Garr, the questions still remain?

How is this site being funded?  Solely on donations from us or will advertisement buff up the pool or what.

Also, it shows last activity of back in june?    You might want to update that to show that the site is alive, more folks might be interested in it that way.

Aaron

Solely on donations now, as the ads generate virtually 0 revenue.

Seems Giga received an incomplete list from Nefario, but it is a start

To all Gigaminers:

Late yesterday I received an asset holder list from GLBSE. Per the email received, the list may grow some more so it may not be the final list.

This is good news as it means step one is near completion. I will be working with counsel later today and possibly into next week to finalize the next steps and to clarify what has to be done and why.

Best regards,
gigavps

Awesome! I haven't received a list yet but what exchanges do you have in mind?

I really like BTCT.co and the guy behind it is very diligent about keeping things updated, so as of now this is my #1 choice.

This is a great sign, hopefully everything will be resolved soon.

Best,
Garrett

Maybe shareholders can tell you their preferred choice then you can tally up the results before making a decision.

Of course. I kind of just wanted to get a general consensus on the public forum first so proper preparations can be made beforehand.

IMO, http://BTCT.co is definitely the best option as of now.
1094  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: November 21, 2012, 05:32:18 AM
Is the total mined since the GLBSE fiasco been updated to the latest?

Yes

This is post 1995 for me, the year I was born. I noticed so of course I had to start a thread, right?! Wrong. I'm not Atlas. But this is already written so I'm just gonna alt + s.

Have a good thanksgiving, Americans! Edit: non Americans, just have a good Thursday in general Tongue
1096  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCTC] BTC Trading Corp. -- All new virtual exchange up at https://btct.co/ on: November 20, 2012, 11:57:51 PM
The main disadvantage of OCA orders is that it will likely create a false presence of the bid-side of many assets.
1097  Economy / Securities / Re: GOOD NEWS! GLBSE is sending out shareholders data on: November 20, 2012, 11:54:32 PM
So if gigamining got their asset info on the 19th, its almost the 21st now, has anyone received asset info yet? Wasn't GLBSE going to release info for 3 or 4 assets per day?

Nefario has always been, and admits to being, terrible with time estimations. It's safe to assume +/- 100% of his predictions Tongue
1098  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: November 20, 2012, 11:48:26 PM
According to the latest from Nefario I will be receiving shareholder data within a week!
