1081  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin heading to $4,000 on: June 12, 2017, 07:48:21 AM
to be honest i think like we might hit 10k soon enough, the real problem is  if these high value are really stable or we are heading again to 2k after the pump

the good thing is that all this is reached without solving the issue about the block limit, which mean that a greater value is awaiting us
1082  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen when Chinese exchange will resume withdrawal ? on: June 12, 2017, 05:21:56 AM
no because if they are ready to cash out they shoudl dump at what they think it will be the correct value to cash out, which they cannot predict in any way

so when the withdrawal will be resumed, it could be that it's not the right time to sell and therefore they would keep buying, i can't see the correlation really...

also japan is leading the volume now, china is no longer the big factor here
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries launching their own cryptocurrencies affect bitcoin? on: June 12, 2017, 05:15:25 AM
this si again nothing new, any government seriously thinking that he can overcome bitcoin by simply creating a centralized version of it didn't understand what bitcoin is all about, decentralization

also this was done in the past i remember, but never worked, in fact i'm no hearing any more news about those centralized fiat

i think its not affect with bitcoin as long as the government is not interfere the coins and don't trying to make cheat movements for their coins. i think peoples will thinking before they want to invest their money, they will choose the best investment because what they only want is making profit from what they invest.

interfer in what way, why the government should interfer by issuing his own coin? if he want to interfer he should close the exchange of bitcoin which would put a serious dent on bitcoin, because people will have an hard time to buy more coin
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people start moving their savings to Bitcoin in case of a financial crash? on: June 12, 2017, 05:11:54 AM
this same collapse was predicted so many time it's not funny anymore, and it did not happen each tiem it was predicted, i guess eventually some fiat will crash in the future

but thinking that all the fiat will crash and people start to move on bitcoin is silly, they will play the same game about printing more money out of thin air and paying the debt with more debt
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin? on: June 12, 2017, 05:07:17 AM
investors didn't switch to altcoin, they just buy them to have more bitcoin, they are waiting for the correct time to dump nothing more or less

maybe you are talking about the recent ETH spike in volume which surpassed bitcoin, i rememebr the same thign happened with doge in the past

but this does not mean that doge is better than bitcoin, altcoin exist because bitcoin exist, bitcoin is leading their traction now
1086  Economy / Economics / Re: If scalability is unknown, why are some countries going "all in"? on: June 11, 2017, 09:51:24 AM
bitcoin is not only about scalability, i bet rich people don't care about scalability too much, they can move with this high fee what they want, if they need they will pay more, it's a rally on who pay more now

also solution are there for this issue, it will be just a matter of time until it solved, and investors now these and want to get cheap coin now
1087  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What are the main Bitcoin scams and how do you protect yourself against them? on: June 11, 2017, 06:31:17 AM
it's very easy to deal with all these actually, about exchange just don't leave a big amount there, only small one for trading, against malware i have a dedicated machien that will never install anythign other than bitcoin

just be carefull to install the version from official source on bitcointalk check the checksum, i'm more worried about soemthign they didn't mention there, and it's being scammed in real life

if they know you have  bitcoin someone could murder you to steal your money....
1088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: big transaction fee in Bitcoin , really down the future of btc ? on: June 11, 2017, 05:44:08 AM
I though the whole point of bitcoin is to do what banks can't do faster and cheaper?

If the fees are so hgih, what's the point? Why would anyone adopt a currency that is so prohibitive?

I think we need to get free under control or otherwise banks will win

and it's working for abroad transaction, can you send usd to someone else in another country at the same rate of bitcoin fee? i really doubt it and with the same speed, again i really doubt it

also bitcoin have another advantage that very few people remeber when they compare it to a bank, can you move 100M usd with a bank account without rising several alarma at your bank or IRS or anything?

you probably need permission to move big amount of money with fiat and you are traced...

no of course, with bitcoin you are free to move even billions in dollars, and none will say you anything, this is a big advantage for rich people that want to mvoe their capital from oen place to another of the world
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can It Really Happen? on: June 11, 2017, 05:40:29 AM
If he really wants to sell he could have do it long back or he could not give or keep it as a open source . In worst condition it happens then no doubt that bitcoin goes to its original stage where it started

no it doesn't make sense for him to sell lower than the possible value that might happen in his own prediction, "very big volume or no volume in 20 years"

so i think if he ws really in the mood of selling his coin he would wait the end of those 20 years first(2030), still selling all his coins just to kill the market and his own project is utterly stupid
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the bitcoin function for you? on: June 11, 2017, 05:37:59 AM
it's a safe heaven for me, despite many thinking otherwise, i see lower risk now in holding money in bitcoin than anything else

i like to do small purchase with it now, and save the big one for the future when the value will allow me to use less bitcoin, it's true for now that bitcoin will encourage hoarding

and it's a good thing it make the value stronger and bring more people in the equation, when bitcoin will be mature enough and accepted everywhere you will see a massive usage, like a currency
1091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does regulating bitcoins is necessary for global adoption? on: June 11, 2017, 05:34:13 AM
if you want average joe to join us yes it's necessary, if we are ok with only tech savy people that eventually will increase the value anyway because some of them maybe are rich, then we don't need regulation

but i think regulation will only do good to bitcoin, i can't see anything bad in that because if you are afraid that the echnage will be controlled more, just do private trading, with bitcoin you can actually choose if you want to be regulated or not not the government
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm advanced NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.2.4a] on: June 10, 2017, 12:40:17 PM

   ]}
]

when i run the miner it say initialized and stop there, no hashrate or anything, i'm trying with 2x1080ti, what's wrong?
1093  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment for Bitcoins on: June 10, 2017, 08:54:27 AM
bitcoin mining is not dead, with current value of bitcoin you can do good profit and hit roi fast, but altcoin mining is far better

if you want to start just use your gpu gaming for mining, you would find easily that it's worth to mine altcoin now

investment would be zero in your case, i'm sure everyone nowadays have at least one gpu for gaming
1094  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: When does it make sense to just buy the coin instead of a mining rig? on: June 10, 2017, 06:58:23 AM
it's really simple i've explained it many time, when you mine you are essentially buying bitcoin at a very lower rate than buying, this is what make mining profitable otherwise it would be pointless

the onyl advantage of buying is thta you can have many bitcoin quickly, instead with mining you get them very slow, unless you have a very big farm

so..converting electricity in bitcoin is far cheaper than converting USD in bitcoin
1095  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much power does Bitcoin consume? on: June 10, 2017, 05:45:24 AM
it's curious to see the total consumption of the bitcoin network with the one with the gpu network

right now an antmienr s9 consume 1400watt, and the total bitcoin network around 500MW

instead gpu ahve around 1.5M unit deployed mining, each one around 150watt we can say, so 225MW

we have around 1/2 of the consumption for the gpu world
1096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how is difficulty determind? on: June 10, 2017, 05:41:41 AM
the value have a sort of an impact on the diff of course, but the diff don't change directly because of that but only as a consequence

because if the value increase the hashrate increase and therefore the diff increase, this is the way it work

usually you see the diff retreat if the value go down because the hahsrate go also down first, there are moment where the diff increase after the hash even if the value is stale, because there is a huge margin of profit maybe like it is now...
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What goods have you got from bitcoin results? on: June 10, 2017, 05:35:18 AM
i bought an entire rig using bitcoin, very satifying, not a second hand used here, but i bought one on caseking which accept bitcoin a little expensive but was worth it

i also like to buy foods with bitcoin, using purse.io, for now i would not buy more expensive stuff, as purse.io seems to no work with expensive item, no buyers, and all4btc is not 100% trustable
1098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you For or Against "Government" Regulation of Bitcoin. on: June 10, 2017, 05:32:20 AM
i can't see how regulation is bad, you see on japan regulation mean more adoption and acceptance, if regulation mean seeing bitcoin as a currency i'm all for it

if it mean restriction of usage then not of course, the only reason why the government want to regulate bitcoin is to get taxes out of it, but if this also lead to more average joe using bitcoin, it's welcome for me

also they know they can't stop bitcoin anymore, therefore the only wise decision for them is to regulate it and take their profit

and with regulation they can track better some transaction movement that go to exchange like the european are doing with some exchange or like with coinbase
1099  Economy / Speculation / Re: how long till cryptos hit $200 billion? predictions! on: June 10, 2017, 05:28:12 AM
i think from now the increasing will be faster due to better adoption, not linear but exponential, until we need more adoption to go beyond the ccap we will hit with the current one

another 2x this year is certainly possible, but i won't bet that will be also stable, one thing is sure, the crypto world will increase a lot in the future i can already see this
1100  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: June 09, 2017, 07:53:16 AM
if they do then the value should be much higher, consider for example the amount of money Bill gates has, he is exceeding the whole bitcoin marketcap with easy, if he invest even half of what he have the value would be $6k already

i don't think for now any real billionaires is investing big amount in bitcoin, but some millionaries for sure
