Today this problem constantly coming may be there is some problem better try to contact with @TheQuin or @freebitco.in PR through personal message and send them your account id and this txid hopefully they will solve this very quickly. I'm guessing bitcoind has got stuck. I've messaged wetsuit and just waiting for him to give it a nudge/reboot. Edit: it's processing again now. It'll take a little while to synchronise with the network, ~80 blocks to catch up with. |

Anybody knows the people who put like millions of satoshi for the lottery?
I mean are they just wagering a whooooole lot of money or are they just spending money to buy the tickets?
It looks like it is not really a smart idea to put that much money into lottery, it is not a guaranteed win and makes no sense to wager on lottery when you can spend on the dice itself and get tickets anyway while also getting a ton of other benefits (like reward points or higher free faucet or even lambo tickets) so why keep investing all that money into lottery?
I saw people with millions of tickets all the time, well at least it is something not hurting people out but I really hope that people would realize how they could spend it a lot better than how they are spending right now.
Some people have hundreds of bitcoins on that casino and from the annual 4%, they make lots of coins every day for free. These are the people who buy all those tickets probably. I don't think it's that common for people to buy millions of lottery tickets. You'll usually find the same user IDs on the wagering contest page. Typically someone will have a balance in the single digits of whole Bitcoins and have some auto-roll strategy running. An example might be a base bet of 10,000 sats, with average 3 rolls per second that's giving them a minimum of 60 tickets a second and a lot more when the strategy increases the bet size. The interesting thing for me about this weeks lottery was seeing user 3656 in 3rd place. Someone who signed up in the first few days of the site opening and they're still playing now. It must have been someone who found it on this forum because that's the only place it was advertised and they don't have a referrer. |

If I am not wrong, compared to other places that you bet on these things, freebitcoin basically lets you and me decide on the odds. Well technically speaking other places do let you and me decide as well but they change it themselves to make it more profitable for themselves, so if everyone wagers on one side and they are asleep it doesn't change, but here I think it is really us that changes it.
Yes. It's parimutuel betting so it's player versus player rather than betting against the bookmaker. You're correct that bookmakers adjust their odds according to how much they take on each outcome so technically the customers always decide the odds. The big difference is what happens when someone makes a large bet. An individual bookmaker wouldn't adjust his odds for that he would just lay part of it off with other bookmakers. With parimutuel betting, it stays in the prize pool and makes the other outcomes more attractive. |

That means a ratio of your total wagered amount and balance compared to how much we have given you for free are high enough for you to get the privilege of not having to do Captcha. BTW, how to get a Multiply BTC bonus again?

The democrat party nominee bet expired with the very expected result, the odds are flat 1x which in theory doesn't pay but the time multiplier should give something noticeable to those who've bet this months ago over the most recent bettors so interested to see what 'interest' I get from it.
There's a bit of a bonus payout when that happens. The 1.00x odds are calculated on 95% wagered on that outcome and a 5% house edge which as you said would mean there was nothing to payout. So what we do in that circumstance is to reduce the house edge. |

Is this based on actual statistics or is this just a counter to show that the registrations are increasing?
The stats page is cached on Cloudflare and updated hourly so if you reload the page and look again you'll see the total number goes backwards. You cannot tell me that the rate of registrations are continuously increasing at more or less the same rate (24/7/365)  It pretty much is. We cater to all timezones so there isn't really any quiet period of the day. I think that name would just cause more confusion. Likewise, if the number stayed static for an hour and then jumped up ~300 people in an instant people wouldn't believe that either. The number you actually see is a very accurate estimate of the actual number. The counter animation just gives a sense of how quickly it really is increasing. You have to be very cynical to see that as a scam. |

Getting the same errors as you guys since the last few hours. Only difference from before, this time it's a 5-second redirection first that happens and then the same Cloudflare, host server not working error.
Definitely another DDOS attack I would say. Good luck plugging away my friends.
The 5 second redirect is a higher level of protection on Cloudflare. The last couple of hours was us reconfiguring it to hopefully end this attack. |

Few hours ago site was ok for me but now facing same problem its not working and captcha is appearing again and again any update about this could be appreciated from any one what's going on another DDoS or any type maintenance is going on for better security.
Probably just some unwanted side effects of what we did to negate the DDoS. wetsuit was working on it yesterday while I was having a long and painful visit to the dentist and I haven't had a chance to catch up with him yet. Is it still happening now? |

Damn, 2nd place on the lottery had 18% of all tickets... I am wondering if he bought these, or gained these by betting/gambling/referrals?

Because he is his referrals. He's an idiot dumb enough to deposit $100 into each account to remove captcha because he isn't a good enough abuser to use a captcha solver. It's always good when they post about getting banned as it deters other thieves. |

I am lately getting a warning from my Anti-virus when I access Freebitco.in saying, " Download of adware is blocked - https://pushpad.xyz/pushpad.js " - virus ...." HEUR:AdWare.Script.pusher.gen I do not think Freebitco.in has a adware injector on it, but I am troubled that it was flagged only when I access Freebitco.in.  I can access any other site and I get no flag for this... but when I access Freebitco.in it does this. Anyone else experiencing this? Which Anti-Virus software are you using? I am using K7 TotalSecurity and haven't got anything similar to what you said. May be some update to your Anti-Virus is showing that error for the site? I have no updates currently which shows that my software is up-to-date. There is no adware so it's either a false positive you should report to your anti-virus provider or you have some malware that is injecting it. |

Why would anyone ddos a free bitcoin website,
We had 2 days of exceptionally high wagered volume followed by a DDoS attack and a negative SEO attack. wetsuit is of the opinion that a competitor is behind it, I'm not so sure. |
