I have offically joined the ranks of retired WO gentleman. Working just seems kinda pointless.
I don't have any immediate plans to sell a big chunck of my stash - I'll just dip into it as needed.
Go Bitcoin go!
Welcome to the club. Living happily ever after is fun and easy. Oscar Wilde: "Work is the curse of the drinking class."

Good morning Bitcoinland and Happy St. Patrick's Day. Still consolidating in the mid-$5xxxx range before continuing our quest upward... currently $54947USD/$68550CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Go Bitcoin go. I was gonna curse you for posting a Guinness pic while I was typing and fetching my own Guinness image. Then I realized yours wasn't even a real Guinness... 0.0% ABV? I thought the Irish stuff was bad enough at 4.2%. I prefer mine at 5% like the ones we brew in Ontario. I also prefer glass bottles, not metallic-tasting cans. Anyway, cheers to you too. Happy St. Patty's Day.

At least we're still in the top 10.

...whatever an acre is.
Approximately 0.4 hectare for those in metric areas. I buy hectares in Mexico and acres in Canada. No big deal.

Good morn Bitcoinland. Sixty grand and fifty eight (Bitcoinaverage).
Here in Canada We're back on daylight saving. It's feeling like spring.
Went out yesterday To see our new lake. The snow was still deep.
We could only walk On well-packed snowmobile trails Without falling through.
Please come springtime come. Covid winter is boring... And go Bitcoin go.

exit strategy is for newbies who don't know what bitcoin is and panic sell when they see price fall. everyone else who understands the technology will keep accumulating bitcoin.
Who has an exit price? Just stay in crypto and use it to pay for things that way. It will reach fiat equilibrium faster if everyone does that - as a side benefit, you'll probably make more money since no one has a crystal ball. And fiat equilibrium will probably be an order of magnitude or two from here.
Most of the people who had "exit points" at $1, $10, $30, $100, $1000, $2000, $5000, $10000, and $20000 etc are wishing they hadn't exited in order to buy back lower because no one knows when the bottom is.
The problem is that many newbies think Bitcoin is like the stock market and that "exit points" are somehow important. They try to use pseudoscience nonsense like "technical" analysis and Elliott waves in an attempt to time Bitcoin's price, instead of following the advice of more experienced Bitcoiners and simply hodling. Sigh.

Good afternoon Bitcoinland and Happy Mindrust Day.
Let's enjoy the fact that we've gone up 1400% in the last 365 days... currently $57304USD/$71468CAD (Bitcoinaverage), up from, $3850 (Stamp) a year ago.
Many people who weren't even millionaires a year ago are multi-millionaires now.
It's been a good year and there's no sign of it slowing down.
Go Bitcoin go.

How many acres total now?
Getting up to near 140 acres now. Already have our eyes on the next (fourth) parcel we are looking to absorb, but want to break ground first on what we have before going even crazier. Ended up deciding we're going to continue leasing the first parcel of land to cattle ranchers, and the third parcel we are buying will continue to lease out to cotton farmers after putting in access to our property. Want to play nice with the local folk there, and not upset their balance too much. Cool. Bitcoin cotton plantation owners. Keep those tenant farmers working! Also ranchers. I'm getting mental images halfway between "Bonanza" and "Gone With the Wind". ___ Seriously, it's nice to have your spread providing revenues in addition to your retirement pleasures... also the satisfaction of seeing your land producing food and clothing and contributing to the local economy. As we like to say: Thank you Bitcoin.

Rick and I just bought another 68 acres of land abutting our existing acquisition.
How many acres total now? I love these Bitcoin success stories.

Nope simple sideways with a slight uptick is best for all, but the shorters. And fuck the shorters. How dare they play shorts.
Shorters are a fine source of entertainment when they get rekt.

BTC is over $54,000, hold or sell?
Buy. That's a good lesson to learn from old school Bitcoin holders here. If you really don't need to sell it then don't. You just don't know what tomorrow will bring. If it's an emergency then go sell it.
Amen.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Bouncing along nicely... currently $56575USD/$71254CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Looking good. Go Bitcoin go. Stop jerking us around and gib $60k already!?
Confirmed it is not going to happen. Well your math and science failed... Proudhon's math and science didn't fail. He has his own special math and science. Works great for him.

Our planet has seen no less than 4 or 5 ice ages. It will come again. They say the climate change will make everything melt too. Better be prepared to live at both extremes. I would personally find it nicer to live in a colder country as most homes can be easily insulated and heated.
Yeah, but shoveling the driveway and getting snowed in has a very limited entertainment value. Snowblower on your tractor and a warm fireplace insert makes this a lovely weekend. I've always said that it's easier to make a heater than an air conditioner out of sticks and stones.

But I have a very short question. Which "Wall street" or other professional investor with clear mind would invest in THE MOST VOLATILE COMMODITY IN THE WORLD after it reached $57 000
Answer: A smart one. After the little correction down to $43k, we're right back up over $57k again. Yes, the Elon Musk news may have been the spark that triggered the rise from under $40k to the ATH, but it was destined to happen anyway. This bull market is still young.

I think you made a typo - the tax rate on capital gains over $220,001 (to infinity - go go bitcoin!!) in Ontario 26.76%
Indeed. I meant to type 26.5%. I just pulled the number out of my memory. I'd remembered it as 26.5% instead of 26.76%. Funny thing that... the 0.26% I'd rounded off represents over a year's property taxes on the land. You had me thinking I was paying too much! I almost had a heart attack. It could be worse. Remember George Harrison's song from 1960s Britain? "Let me tell you how it will be... one for you, nineteen for me... 'cause I'm the taxman." Still, "Three for you, one for me... 'cause I'm the CRA" is bad enough.

When you see someone doing U-turns on what he did or didn't do, and also replying to every post prodding him for his stupidity, you just know he fucked up, and trying to feel better about himself. Just like most traders/gamblers. They tend to be arrogant when they're on a winning streak, thinking they're in control, until they realize they've been working for the house all along.
"This is the end result of all the bright lights and the comp trips, of all the champagne and free hotel suites and all the broads and all the booze. It’s all been arranged just for us to get your money. That’s the truth about Las Vegas. We’re the only winners. The players don’t stand a chance." — Martin Scorsese's Casino (1995)
$27k... Yeah, right.
Remember: Tarders/gamblers should be pitied not scorned. Yes, their degeneracy may be born of stupidity but it's also a symptom of an addiction, a weakness. Just as a heroin junkie or crackhead lives in squalor, panhandling and stealing for that next fix, while the druglords live in opulent splendor, the Tarding junkies moan on internet forums while the online exchange operators and money transferers get rich. It not only requires intelligence to be a hodler, it requires strength.

Good morning Bitcoinland. I see we had a nice little $2.8k correction overnight and then bounced all the way back up... currently $56131USD/$71004CAD (Bitcoinaverage). New ATH soon? Go Bitcoin go.
