1122  Economy / Auctions / Re: 1 oz Silver 0.5 BTC Lealana Bitcoin Funded MS-69 on: July 24, 2016, 07:42:04 AM
Pretty sure this was an auction coin that was funded before shipping to the winner.
It's a black address coin without a "buyer funded" lasermark, it's been funded by smoothie.
Lasers are not used to mark coins "buyer funded" when the buyer declines to fund coins purchased directly from smoothie. This marking is hand carved. The process is actually outsourced to wood collector who does this personally.

Lol this gave me a good chuckle
1123  Economy / Auctions / Re: 1 oz Silver 0.5 BTC Lealana Bitcoin Funded MS-69 on: July 23, 2016, 09:37:47 PM
That is correct. All of the addresses were created by me (assuming the origin holo is in tact and not tampered with in any way).

Direct funding from me stopped in early 2014. Since then buyers have the option to prefund the coins to avoid the laser marking on the holograms.

but am willing to attempt to engrave any image.

Are the face images going to minted or engraved as a separate part of production?

There is a probably a difference between minting vs engraving.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 23, 2016, 05:03:12 AM
I think the weakness of Monero is the constant inflation.

I think the weakness of monero is that it answers a use case which a lot of people either don't understand or don't care about.

Its a dilettante's coin really.

People understand the concept of not having their bank statements plastered all over the internet for all to see for eternity right?

Same situation applies to bitcoin and monero.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 23, 2016, 05:01:55 AM
Explain to me again how people buying BTC to trade for ETH brings BTC down?

again ? i have btc, i trade it for eth. btc demand goes down, eth demand goes up.

~LOL~

But your example has nothing to do with fiat price where there are on and off ramps for BTC<-> fiat.

BTC doesn't go "down" because people buy ETH with BTC...in fact it helps grow BTC's utility by being able to buy ETH.

Not the reverse.

1129  Economy / Collectibles / Re: AUCTION: New Physical Dual Cryptocurrency, BTC and ETH on: July 23, 2016, 12:57:58 AM
How does the redeeming work? Do you need to remove the gems?

redeeming works the same way, e.g. as visiting blockchain.info and sweeping your btc private keys. Yes, you'll need to remove the gems to retrieve the physical private keys hidden inside.

How does one "find" the private key inside if it is hidden without accidentally destroying the private key?
1130  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Introducing Supreme BTC " Signature Series" In honor of bitcointalk/Halving on: July 22, 2016, 04:43:26 AM
Thanks for the information, I look forward to seeing a coin once produced.  Smiley

Awesome! Sales close Aug 1st 2016  so snag one up if you'd like one of our signature series. Auctions for #1-10 coming shortly

So to be clear after August 1st, 2016 you are not going to be selling any more of these coins?
1131  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Introducing Supreme BTC " Signature Series" In honor of bitcointalk/Halving on: July 22, 2016, 04:38:32 AM
I will have sets #14 and #15 for all flavours Smiley

They are yours!

Please Pm or post Tx Id: & names for the coins  Smiley

Gimme a couple of days to think about the name and payment Wink

And where is the chosen signature going to be located on the coin?

Also dunno about others but it's not like I can get holos just like that, for the price no chance to include numbered holos on the coins?
Or if the coins are numbered (engraved) just some simple ones to go with them?

One more thing, maybe others here know you, but payment before actual pics of the coins is a bit unusual.
I'd give up the custom name (as that's probably the reason for early payment) and wait for the coins to be in hand as other manufacturers do.
Feels like crowdfunding for the coins to be made.

What do others think?

This ^

I know nothing about the OP's reputation and am not speaking for or against them.

Coinographic did the same thing by getting pretty pictures posted and taking preorders.

I'm not saying OP is a scammer (I don't know). I implore people here to be cautious, ask for escrow options or actual pictures of the product you are purchasing before paying.

Of course in the end it is your funds, do as you wish.

.0018? This leg down is quite low in volume...

Im seeing more like .00249 floor and .00335 next leg up, but who knows

for the movement in the price...the volume is very low.

I smell accumulation in the air.

1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: July 17, 2016, 11:04:54 PM

It's pretty simple, any investment has risk.

Saying "you can make 8-15% return" is not a complete statement without saying "you could lose 100% of your investment as well".

I'd probably have to agree with that. Clarification is useful on all sides because "ROI" can mean different things depending on the investor's priorities. I think of it as 8%-15% because I'm accumulating Dash not dollars (at least as far as masternode collateral is concerned). On the other hand someone who was looking for a dollar investment and wanted a guaranteed return in dollar terms would have to put their money in the bank (if they can find one with a +ve rate  Shocked ) ). That type of investment is clearly not the same as one where the (dollar) principal is at risk.

Thank you for at least acknowledging this.

I think BMB is trying to say you can't just Humpy-Dumpty your way with words. Language means what it means, you aren't neutral.
But it's off-topic. He's a notorious stray.

It is also impossible to assert one's stance fully without asking them their position either.

Assuming never does anyone any favors.

Let's agree to disagree.
1139  Economy / Goods / Re: 1 iPhone 6, 128GB, Priority shipping. 0.6 BTC. on: July 17, 2016, 10:29:46 PM
This offer is too good to be true, a new iphone 6 with 128 GB will never be sold for 0.6 BTC.
This is either a scam attempt or u will get somethimg else than what you paid for.

I got it for free as an offer from my phone company, hence why I'm selling it so cheap.
If you are willing to accept escrow I will buy it.
Please send me a PM with the warranty and the resuit.

I think that I have the receipt chucked somewhere in the house, I'll have a look later.
And I don't think escrow is necessary for 0.6 BTC, I've done over $200,000 BTC worth of deals on here.

Who on here can vouch for you who is a trusted member of the forum?

You have 0 trust on this forum under that account.

electricity..not so much
an old computer...few bucks
monero reward.....priceless

And it comes with free entertainment on a forum too Smiley
I mine about 0.1 XMR/ day and it feels the same as in 2010 mining 0.1 bitcoin/day just with my PC.
In any mining effort of any altcoin, it is important to think of the future price, not the quick rewards.

Many look at the price, but overlook the technology.
