1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: August 07, 2017, 08:09:28 PM
Yes, to quit gambling, you must have something else to do instead. I tried so many times but after I received my salaries, I kept gambling for many times, it's just like something wanted me to gamble and I can help controlling myself to get away from gambling.
Yes, do something else useful like working is a way to quit from gambling but it's really hard to if you are really addicted with gambling (because suffered with lose before or won the jackpot from there and want to play it again and again) . Although it's not instant to do but it may worth your patience when you are quit from gambling.
keep yourself busy with your whole day work really prevent you to gamble , i mean when you have no time to gamble and too tired to even make a deposit that time you'll never care anymore to gamble. so find a job that require you to work more than 8 hours with a worth paycheck of course, it wasn't easy but it would be the best option you have there i guess.
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: August 07, 2017, 07:55:11 PM
No, I think it's a bad idea to get involved in gambling in anticipation of getting easy money. Gambling is created for pleasure, not for enriching the pocket especially when there is no money.

this is what i am thinking too because if we are playing gambling, we can not win with easy and we must spend more money to win and our chance to win the games is still small. i think playing gambling for ordinary people is just to feel the experience so we can know what is lose and win and we don't spend a lot of money, just small money in our pocket so we can know that if we are lose, we must to leave the games and not playing gambling again.
i don't think so , considering gambling are a game of money that basically addictive there's higher risk for anyone to get addicted rather than those people who gamble for the sake experiencing something new. it's a dangerous thing if you didn't treat it carefully. even when you have no money in your pocket you'll do anything to get started again , include to use other people money.
1143  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is exodus wallet safe? on: August 04, 2017, 08:34:30 AM
If you check their FAQ, they say not to keep large amounts there and to use some other wallet. It s great for every day use but for full time storage, use something else.
that's true and considering exodus wallet aren't in bitcoin.org wallet list , i wouldn't recommend it. for a small transaction it's always worth to try , and of course never be a good idea to store your large amount of bitcoin in a third party wallet provider. sure safer you use your own wallet , i mean a wallet that allow you to hold the private key alone.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know whether its your lucky day? on: August 04, 2017, 07:53:17 AM
I've not really realized this, how do i know if when's my lucky day. But it seems like i feel it when i get more profit / winning than losing it of the day too. It's difficult to know our lucky day, i think we better just do the best and try to be optimistic and can control the emotions, that's the most important i guess.
We certainly can not realize when to get lucky. Because luck usually comes all of a sudden.
Therefore many people say that luck is impossible to get, luck will come when we can win the game.
Luck will not come you should make your day lucky by using brain. Sometimes unexpected results will give you profit that is called lucky day. You know that you can win some money in any bet that we will say lucky day because it's expected. Only the unexpected income we call it lucky day profit. I had this kind of days many times when I did sports betting.
lucky means when you didn't expect at all but it's happened . then yeah it's your lucky day when you won 30 times bet coninuous with a fair odds , or a single huge bet and won it unexpectedly. everyone might has been experienced something like that , and it's actually the right moment for you to leave gamble before bad things come to you after your lucky day.
1145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Reverses – Plans to Allow Bitcoin Cash Withdrawals in January 2018 on: August 04, 2017, 07:34:39 AM
It looks like customers had a case after all.

https://news.bitcoin.com/coinbase-bitcoin-cash-withdrawals-january-2018/

Bitcoin exchange Coinbase has reversed its decision to support bitcoin cash. The company now plans to allow customers to withdraw their new cryptocurrency by January 1, 2018.

Also read: Coinbase Customers Could Instigate Class Action Lawsuit Over Bitcoin Cash

Coinbase on Thursday announced a change of plans regarding its support for bitcoin cash (BCC, BCH), the new cryptocurrency resulting from the August 1 hard fork. The exchange wrote:

We are planning to have support for bitcoin cash by January 1, 2018, assuming no additional risks emerge during that time. Once supported, customers will be able to withdraw bitcoin cash.
Coinbase Plans to Allow Bitcoin Cash Withdrawals in January 2018Meanwhile, the company claims that both bitcoin and BCC are safely stored and customers with bitcoin balances at the time of the fork “now have an equal quantity of bitcoin cash stored by Coinbase.” Its exchange GDAX also made a similar announcement.

Previously, Coinbase said that it would not support bitcoin cash. “We have no plans to support the Bitcoin Cash fork,” the exchange wrote on July 27, citing the difficulty in predicting BCC’s future market value. “Customers will not have access to, or be able to withdraw, bitcoin cash (BCC).”

Coinbase Plans to Allow Bitcoin Cash Withdrawals in January 2018However, after the fork, Coinbase came under fire for its decision as users demanded access to their new cryptocurrency. “Give us our BCC!!!,” wrote a Twitter user. While Coinbase advised customers to transfer funds away from the exchange to access BCC, one user tweeted, “transfer of funds were halted… I guess if Coinbase doesn’t hand them out to their rightful owners, lawsuits might happen quick.” Recently, news.Bitcoin.com reported that Coinbase customers could instigate a class action lawsuit over the company’s decision to not distribute the new cryptocurrency.

With today’s announcement, Coinbase detailed that its decision to support BCC is based on various factors such as network security, customer demand, trading volumes and regulatory considerations. However, some users are unhappy with the long wait. “January 2018 is too long,” one tweeted. “I smell a class action law suit headed your way. You are basically holding client funds hostage,” was a comment in response to the company’s blog post.

I read this earlier and must say that aside from the fact that it is going to take so long, at which point Bitcoin Cash will be worthless... I think this is a smart and honest business move from Coinbase.

I have some Bitcoin on LocalBitcoins, which claims to use Bitcoin core which does not support BCH. Whether it is true or not, it is not cool losing out on such an opportunity for free money.
yeah reasonable enough. and who knows while coinbase monitoring and develop bitcoin cash from now until 1st january 2018 later , there's some unexpacted things happened like maybe bitcoin cash completely worthless and disappeared. or any other bad things that leading they changes decision to support bch. just another good policy for me.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone sends Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address? on: August 04, 2017, 07:18:19 AM
I was wondering what if someone accidentally sends Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address?

until today and possibly still in the near future both bitcoin and bitcoin cash are using the same keys. this means private key of bitcoin is the same as private key of bitcoin cash.
if you have a bitcoin cash address and send bitcoin to that address you can simply export that private key from your bitcoin cash wallet and import it in bitcoin wallet and have your funds.
if that address belongs to a service like an exchange you need to ask them to do it for you but they may not.

in the future bitcoin cash may change the keys to have a new address format in that case you will be unable to send anything to those addresses because if you put that in your bitcoin wallet it will reject it.

p.s. be careful when using bitcoin cash wallets they may not be as trusted as you may think.
yeah i agree , it's a new coin with new developer and still in developing. even coinbase couldn't say yet that bitcoincash network completely safe at least until next year .... they said. i personally didn't use that strange coin even it's created from bitcoin fork, so i don't care much about that Cheesy . goodluck and be safe.
1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: August 04, 2017, 07:03:24 AM
If I earn a big amount in gambling, first thing to do is to save half of it in my wallet as investment, 25% is for trading then other 25% would be divided to gambling capital and other things necessary to be spent upon or paid at the moment. The important thing when I win is that I know when to stop and be not be greedy.

If you could actually make profit from gambling then the first thing you should do is to withdraw everything and never look back anymore. If you could make alot of money by some tough luck then it is best for you to withdraw it. Some people are foolish enough to keep on playing just later to lose everything
it's still mean nothing when you in the end decide to comeback to gamble later , today you cashed out 10 bitcoin amount as a prize and enjoy it . but then in the next week you gamble and lost 20 bitcoin. it's crazy isn't it? that's what makes people thinking to keep a little bit money left and separate it for various business instead simply cash them out right after you have won.
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: August 03, 2017, 04:28:32 AM
Yeah, I think Yahoo and Bitcoin have same similiarity, early birth people underestimate about them. But time will tell what happen because they are pionier and have superiority in market. But I still don't see the "competitor" show up in next couple years.

A real competitor will be hard to come by because Bitcoin has already established some acceptances by people and countries.  But if a coin, such as Litecoin for example, which can process transactions quickly and with very low fees (and allows very low cost microtransactions), it may also starts to gain acceptance.  Once that happened, Bitcoin may be replaced partially or mostly (but probably not complete).

By the way, thank you for writing your first post on this thread.   Smiley
the pioneer indeed not always success , bitcoin itself aren't the first cryptocurrency ever created afaik there's a cryptocurrency launched around 1998 called b-money or something i guess. it's might a little bit misconception. however the phenomenon of competitor product become more successful and replace the pioneer are rarely happened. so far i still can't see a big sign it would happened in bitcoin too.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with altcoins on: August 03, 2017, 04:09:04 AM
~snip~
dogecoin indeed have the cheapest value among other top 5 altcoins , but people should know that it has big risk too, a double risk besides you are gambling on a game you do gamble on volatile price . it's frequently doge move up more than 50% and also dropped more than 70%. if you okay with that condition to take the double risk then you are good to go. gamble with altcoin full of opportunity but also full of risk at the same time.
Why?
Lets say today you want to gamble with doge. So, you go to exchange, buy some doge and then you gamble with them few hours. If you win you can exchange them back to whatever you like, if you lose, well, you lost them. Isn't that the way how gambling suppose to work? Hit big or go home crying?
i said you would have to gamble with double risk , two sides risk! first the possibility an altcoin become almost worthless and secondly the risk in the game itself. is that not clear yet for you? or am i missing something on what you pointed out about "why?" gambling with altcoins even feel like staking 1 bitcoin to get 3 bitcoin with the same value of 1 bitcoin previously when you convert it into cash.
1150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future! on: August 03, 2017, 03:54:59 AM
I think its better to sell Bitcoins soon(secret xD), befor the bearish-phase beginns "soon".
And buy em back when they are on bottom. To make some extra Money befor it gets to unseen highs.

That’s a smart piece of advice. I guess almost everyone is following this simple strategy in order to make a real profit with bitcoins. Bitcoins will undoubtedly soon be touching sky, making it tough for the investors to get into bitcoin trading. I will also like to add that it is a great time for saving bitcoins.
currently the market of bitcoin are saturated , it won't going up or fall down soon. at least until the post-fork are in stable situation, that's what i think. let's just wait for the bearish or even bullish sign happened , who knows right instead going down it's just keep moving up due people interest in bitcoin getting higher rather than move to bitcoin cash or any other strong altcoin like ethereum.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: August 02, 2017, 02:48:28 PM
Perhaps for those who enjoy having fun with gambling will have such an assumption, money isn't everything. But for me, money very valuable. So, if i had been won, i would have left casino immediately.

Actually, that is the right attitude when it comes to gambling, learning when and how to stop. I have some close friends who gambles on a daily basis and unfortunately, some of them ended up in jail. Gambling creates an illusion of people going-in and out of the casino due to the perception of winning. But when they start losing, that is the time when they exhaust all of the money that they should not be betting. In gambling, money may be everything but you also need to consider the effects of it long-term especially when you get addicted to it.

yeah mostly ended with a very bad story , and jailed are one of the worst scenario might happened to you when you have been crossed the line. money always important no matter it's in gambling or in our lives , but yeah ideally it's not everything . money can't buy something like a frindship or specificly a limited and exclusive entertainment in gambling.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: August 02, 2017, 12:20:46 PM
I think it is not a good option for a long time, it is totally dependent on luck, it is not a business procedure.gambling is just a game...
at first, it has been created for the entertaining purpose not for making a profit. yes, it has some options to make a profit but not for the long term period.
yeah everyone know about that i guess but still didn't care when it comes to gambling. a game where used to make money steady for those people who greedy enough. gambling full of things that you'll never imagine before. and mostly give you a bad experience. i wouldn't gamble for money anymore it's just wreck your life.
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe to make transactions now?! (2 august 2017) on: August 02, 2017, 12:08:59 PM
Hi everyone,
I was wondering whether can be safe to make transactions now without they get lost in the network ending in loosing bitcoin.
I've tried to make a transaction two hours ago for 0.007 btc (o.001 btc fee) and seems to work properly as I already received 6 confirmations.
Before proceeding with a larger sum I wanted to know who experienced delays or whathever else...
Thanks

I think there are some misconceptions because it is safe for now because the only issue is the confirmation of bcc that has somethings thats currently being dealt with. Btc is ok as it was before, that usually depends on the amount you are trading. Not unless you are trading with bcc then i too still am waiting for some updates and news from fellow members who is going to trade bcc before dumping.
yeah i guess people still confused. theymos previously suggest everyone to not send / make any transaction during and a couple hours or a day before the fork happened. but they didn't notice that clearly. they still feel insecure even after the fork happened. i personally can vouch that it's safe to do that as i have done made a couple transaction today and everything just okay .
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat? on: August 02, 2017, 11:14:31 AM
We suggest that you should be able to plan a budget and limit in any gambling game not loosing you have too much. and it'll make it when you are playing in a game of dice will feel happy if get the victory in a game of gambling that we play so if we are going to defeat should stop game sessions Wink
Learn to master the how to control skill, whenever the games is not in favor of us then stop at the moment then play the other tine,we should not push things weren't for us,we will win eventually if it's fated to be it since even we have skills and experience sometimes it isn't enough.

when the games against us ( not in our favor ), that's the hardest time to control our temper unless we never break our limits. So, if we can afford to lose only 0.001 BTC in a single session, then stop when we already lost such amount. It should help us to avoid to meet the hardest time in gambling. Start again after our feelings have become good.
it's hard to play a game like dice even if you have a bankroll management or having a good emotion control. as the game of dice give you an instant outcome, an instant profit . everyone would surely fall to this very good offers. but one thing that i believe that you would never find any game out there that gives you a huge pressure that makes your heart beat more than when you have been exercising.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are? When will you stop and withdrawn? on: August 02, 2017, 10:47:12 AM
I only target profit not more than 20% in every gambling and maximum lose 40%. When target has been achieved, i will leave game for the day. And continued for tomorrow.
you sounds like have a good plan there , the question are do you really can make it happen? i mean to keep following what you have planned without breaking or ignoring your rules? as i'm sure mostly when people have got faced with the game and needed to take a quick decision people would just simply ignore everything that you have set up on winning/losing limit , that's the biggest problem in gambling i guess.
making a decision by not ignoring the original planned is very difficult. I often ignore my calculations if lost or profits when gambling especially if you can't control yourself the early plans are very difficult.
not just you , but everyone i guess mostly do the same mistake as you. gambling are something that you can't really deal with easily. there is a lot of consequences and risk , everything always happened unexpectedly. and the greedy you have on doubling money make it even worse . i'm not blame you , that's what always happened when you gamble irresponsibly.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: August 02, 2017, 10:28:20 AM
Gambling is one of the most popular recreational activities to be enjoyed. One factor for the gamblers to be addictive is the experience of early big win. Winning a large amount can be sometimes overwhelming and the fact it arrives early means that the player think it is easier to land such thing.

One of the best thing to have fun nowadays. I dont need to change my shirt or even get out of my room because I can do it just like that. I can open my computer and access my favourite site without leaving my room. I can also get some money from it that is why gambling is a very addicting and entertaining things for me
there's always a good and bad things , when you gamble online you might have a flexible way to get entertained and earned money through of it . but you wouldn't have a good time to hangout together with your friends , talking bullshit but funny with people around have a lot of experience during that time. however what makes gambling addictive actually not about what you have said above i guess , but more to how your mindset think that gambling are the easiest way to make money. it's completely wrong!

Gambling can be the easiest way to make money but there is a caveat: it is also the easiest way to lose all your hard earned money. So gamble with caution and only play just for fun and not for profit because you do the latter, you will only be disappointed and stressed out.
yeah there's a high risk when you found an easy way in gambling , no wonder. people know already about that i guess. just the matter how you can deal with it , take it easy or get panic whenever you have crossed the line. an addict usually gamble with their emotion instead use their head, their brain to make a decision. that's what makes them always get addicted.

When people are really into that moment where they so engage emotionally during their gambling session, it most of the time ends up in loss and disappointment.
so do you think when you can control your emotion won't make you ended up with loss ? it's still addictive by the way , gambling would always make you want to play again and again , that's the nature of gambling , makes people hooked with its huge multiplier but actually you have a very little chance to make it happened. becareful.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: August 02, 2017, 10:01:26 AM
I think we don't need any experience for gambling, we need experience in managing the money while gambling. Many people will feel that we need experience for gambling. I have been gambling for more than a year but I don't find any experience required to gamble.
but to me i think experience really matter even in gambling. experiece is too much important all field of life.even in gambling where we mostly depend on our luck. i think those people who have some experience and gambling skill so they can show good result in gambling and specially in sports gambling.
it might help you in several cases , but not always. honestly depends on how you can maximizing that experience and apply it to any activity you have and in this case are about gambling. we can see that a lot of professional gambler survive to earn money steady through gambling and i guess it's because of they learn from their own experience and successfully make it happen, but as i said , it's not always. don't expect too much.

Experience helps in so far as bankroll management, sessions creation, no emotions involve betting, and the like. But at the end of the day, we should be well aware and keep reminding ourselves that the casinos has house edge advantage against us.
yeah basically it's helpful for non-technical. overall experience doesn't really matter , but for those people who think experience in gambling are an important think i guess those people are a little bit addicted and obsessed . just take it easy , gambling would never makes you profitable in the long run , treat it like your other hobby like playing golf etc.
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Casinos on: August 02, 2017, 09:37:08 AM
BCH is basically an altcoin now so the casinos have every right not to support it if they want.

They shouldve given a warning to their users about what happens to the bitcoin they hold though (whether they credit them or not).
FYI miners want bitcoin cash invented and most miner are chinese. and people would remain want and use the old bitcoin , the last fork are really confusing just make things like in chaos , especially for a newcomer it would make them really confused. i bet most casino would remain use bitcoin instead the new one bitcoin cash .
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminders for today: #1 DON'T PANIC! on: August 01, 2017, 10:46:33 AM
It seems the price is getting to feel the impact of the few hours left for the activation from the $2900+ back to the $2700+ currently and this post comes to mind because when panic sets in, decisions are made which most times one will end up regretting and this is something everybody must try to avoid at this time. We have hold on for so long, keep holding, few hours left for light at the end of this long tunnel that I cant wait for it to be over.
those people who preparing for the fork properly wouldn't feel panic at all . they even would take it as an advantage to make profit on the volatile hours like what currently happening. you can easily grow your bitcoin quickly , and waiting for the result later to make another step. this event just make bitcoin even more beautiful!
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: August 01, 2017, 10:15:25 AM
Money keeps me coming back.
I like to take my chance to win money without doing nothing.
I lost almost every time tho, small cash, but somehow it turns to bigger loss in long run.

At first you already know that you can lose more in the long run but why are you still taking a chance on gambling . You cant earn because of being lazy not even gambling will give you more money , i know its based on luck but are you lucky enough to win in gambling?
you would ignore every common sense you have once you decide to start to gamble , as when you are in the game everything are really happened spontaneously. before the game you have swore that no matter what happened you wouldn't comeback. the reality says different , the way money gaming works always lured you to play again and again , profit are always in your head but the house edge beat it all.
