That's the problem, even if Satoshi did post here, nobody will ever know, if he is real or not.

He should evolve the BTC protocol to include it's own exchange and it should be manipulation proof.
Most of the stuff going wrong, are exchange or wallet service providers, having control over strangers money in a centralized manner.
The scamming is a whole other beast, but that happens to all currencies., not just BTC

I know there have been thousands of knock offs of Bitcoin but I want to make my own coin. I have some ideas which will hopefully make it a distinct coin and a legit coin which will actually be worth something. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills as far as programming and other things to make it and I was wondering if anyone was willing to help
One piece of advice, just don't.... too many shitcoins allready, what would be different in your concept?? |

I am so feeling cheated, I bought some bitcoins 3 days ago and damn what is this, I lost so much in just 3 days. I am now thinking of trading them to litecoin, is that feasible now? I probably should have gone for litecoin from start.
Don't sell man, you just had some bad luck, one piece of advice, never in dec jan, those are expensive months where many miners, btc holder and bitcoin accepting companies will sell more then normal, hence the price drop. If you believe in the tech, then your investment is long term |

I believe what he means by miners wasting time(I believe he means hobby/home miners). I did my math some time ago, for the units I run, if the value of BTC drops below $250 USD then my miners will be operating at a loss.
At the end of the day, the plethora of Chinese mining farms running thousands of machines is killing mining which will harm BTC. The chinese don't use the BTC, they mine it and dump, mine and dump, mine and dump etc. They don't care what they get for the btc either since the machines cost them little to manufacture, power is cheap, labor is cheap. They don't want btc, they take any and every method to stockpile USD. Mining becomes harder for everyone else, people lose interest.
A crypotocurrency is a magnificent, revolutionary idea but is flawed.
I said this in another post. Who else remembers how the chinese killed any form of gold mining in online MMO/RTS/RPG games? AOE Online, WoW, Diablo 3 to name a small few.
Go to google and search chinese mmo gold mining. They ruin everything just to take the usd. Once they have a market hold, they will ruin everything further by scamming and rorting the system.

Thx voor de snelle reactie man, snel aan de slag, een physical coin moet wel gebruikt worden waar het voor bedoeld is dat is wel zo, als ik het goed heb gaat hij nog een filmpje maken hoe het in ze werk gaat, die echte coin heb ik ook en bewaar daar op ook 5000 nlg je weet het nooit over 4 of 5 jaar ff een vraagje over jouw qr generator, echt super cool om het logo erin te verwerken. Ben alleen een beetje huiverig. Als ik de QR code van me client vergelijk met de QR code op jouw generator, zitten daar grote verschillen, terwijl het om hetzelfde adres gaat. Misschien snap ik iets niet? |

Ik wil graag echt 5000 nlg op me coin van criptoe zetten. Ik wil dit graag doen dmv het exporteren van de public & private key terwijl ik mijn client offline opstart met een nieuw wallet.dat bestand. Kan alleen echt niet vinden hoe ik deze kan exporteren, iemand een idee, het liefst met qr codes e.d. |

As a miner, I don't like the price drop at all. I feel it will drop to $250 over night. If that is the case it will no longer be feasible for me to mine. I will have to switch off my miners and see how things flow out. I don't mind if the current BTC I have will drop to something worthless but I will not lose money running miners for nothing.
There is no reason to be happy. This will turn off a lot of miners. If we lose a big portion of the hashing power, how much power will there be before transactions take too long to process. New people will not be getting in either since the risk of being scammed is quite high and the returns are low. There are FAR too many people using online wallets, keeping their BTC online.
The network is far bigger then needed atm. The big problem with bitcoin, the hardware armswar, will be contained a bit by this. That's why the miner from the OP is happy. You needn't worry about slow transactions, the bitcoin network grew much too fast, because of the hardware armswar. Satoshi himself warned after the development of ASIC, that ASIC companies should agree to a gentlemen's agreement that the HW slowly be turned up, yet we all know how that went.... In my view, the problem with bitcoin is that we as a people are not ready for the responsibility the decentralization of bitcoin (crypto)tech provides us. It's way ahead of time, because the revolution on moral grounds to end corporatism that's destroying our only planet hasn't started yet... The tech is here, yet the will and the sheeple aren't ready yet. In that way it makes me think about communism, if people were perfect and really equal in their hearts, communism is the perfect system, yet man is not perfect, and therefore communism can't succeed, because greed makes people wanna have more than the other. It's also a shame that the biggest movement that wants to change that, Zeitgeist, doesn't see bitcoin/crypto as a way to distribute wealth equally, yet as purely as a new kind of money, which they wanna abolish in the resource-economy. I think crypto IS the way to be in resourced-based economy, no manipulation, fairness by protocol, only the distribution will be the challenge |

Sorry for not speaking English. Bram, by using a semi-transparant background it will stay nice and you reduce the "busy-ness" a bit. You can also play a bit with the amount transparency. Also, you will never be able to satisfy everybody. Knowing never to be able to satify everyone, takes alot of stress away. Offcourse he's right, but objective arguments are something to think about, then again, you created it, so you decide |
