Blackbytes are distributed along with bytes to all the linked addresses, if you have bytes and/or BTC on linked addresses you'll get blackbytes, for each byte you'll get, you'll get 2.1111 blackbytes. Refer to the first post for the details please.
I linked my address but I only got bytes the first time and after that nothing again in which two other distributions have happened after that. Is there any other thing to do? Maybe downloading a latest version or updating the address somewhere? Although, I am using the light wallet, does that have anything to do with me not receiving subsequent distribution? I think if you're using an old version your balance won't update. So, you've probably received bytes in subsequent rounds as long as you haven't moved your coins, but you're wallet just isn't updating.

Seems someone moving price up a little bit on bittrex. Somebody know something coming, or just people buying anything during this wave of altcoin insanity?

Does anyone know if airdrops pay for decimal BTC holdings? EX: if I have .5 BTC will i still get airdrop bytes?
Yes, definitely will.

Vertcoin and Litecoin both locked in now.

... Especially because btc retracing now.. this weekend should be good for alts again.. VTC will do well
I am kinda leaning towards other way - alts going to dump alongside BTC. There's been a lot of alt pumping going on with BTC rise, I think some people are going to see this as last best chance to get maximum fiat for alt holdings and dump alts for BTC then BTC for dollars.

Curious. Why do AEON blocks always contain a minimum of two transactions? Where is that little one going?
I think it's because each block allows a single zero mixin tx and someone has been spamming it up.

Hi guys ! Could anyone explain what is diference between huntercoin and chimaera ? I recently bought huc and i don't understain if it is better to keep huntercoin or to swap for chi .
They're totally separate, except there was a snapshot to give huc holders some chimaera when it launches. There's no swap, and I think the snapshot was about a month ago, so if you bought more recently than that you missed it.

THE FIRST PART OF OUR MARKETING PLAN IS HERE!https://grsgiveaway.com/Take a look guys, it's a $1200+ prize at current prices and you can get your referral link to have more chances at winning. Soon we'll be implementing Facebook Ads and trying some press releases in conjunction to boost everything. Hope you like it! Nice work kaduwall2, but by heavily incentivizing referrals, are you worried that people will just refer their own alternate email addresses? Anyway, I guess gotta get started somehow, and hard to do these kind of things fairly. Edit: I see in terms you are monitoring IPs and reserve right to ban suspicious people. Hope it goes well!

Is it possible to transfer my simplewallet and other AEON content to another computer via a cut/copy and paste? Are there files stored elsewhere on the computer that I would need to transfer? I only mined for ~55 hours so if I have to start over from scratch it's not a big deal. A bios update messed up my motherboard to the point of needing to RMA it and I was hoping I could transfer my AEON wallet etc before I do that. Thanks!
All you really need is your mnemonic seed to recreate your wallet. If you want to bring your tx history you need the wallet.keys and wallet binary file (whatever you named your wallet and whatever you named it .keys). You might also want to copy blockchain file from the data directory so you don't have to resync; this would be in ~/.aeon on linux or %appdata%\aeon on windows.

7) How can we make this concrete? The problem is not the funding as we already have a investor who wants to fund u in full. Before he transfers the Groestlcoins to me, i want to make sure that you are who u claim u are and that u are able to deliver. For example lets determine the ammount of GRS that needs to be transfered. We have 2 options here: - We transfer 15 BTC of Groestlcoin worth to an escrow (my choosing will be PsychoticBoy). Funds will be delivered to you when you deliver the project. The ammount will be fixed. If the price of GRS rises or gets down then u still get the same ammount. - We transfer 3.75 BTC of Groestlcoin worth to your GRS address and hope we dont get scammed. The ammount will be fixed. If the price of GRS rises or gets down then u still get the same ammount. I prefer to use the escrow btw.
I vote for escrow, if milestones are achieved every month then release one third at time. Agree that this makes the most sense.

Well, if it stays on same server then it is just a matter of giving owner enough to keep it running.

Please let me know if your public node turns to be stable and if so I will add it as a resource in the OP
Based on my own testing, it is rock solid stable. Very fast network connection but it has a data transfer cap after which it costs me more fiat $$. The only problem I encountered is that this server (VPS with Ubuntu 16.04) has only 4GB memory, so it has to swap out the blockchain when it loads, and swap it in when it saves. This is really only a problem on saving because it results in a "busy" message when a remote wallet attempts to sync during the blockchain save operation. Obviously it would report as busy even with more RAM, it just takes longer to save given the memory limitation. I might modify the source and recompile it so it does not periodically auto-save, which would effectively give it more uptime. I plan to keep this server up indefinitely. I'm also working on a second server (physical box) with more memory but which will have a lower speed connection that is uncapped. Once I have the second server up, I will post a detailed description of my steps in case anyone else wants to spin up their own public node. Thanks. You can get rid of this autosaving feature by commenting out this line in the source code and then recompiling: https://github.com/aeonix/aeon/blob/master/src/cryptonote_core/cryptonote_core.cpp#L591It will still save on exit or if you type 'save' in the daemon, but it will stop doing the autosave every hour or day or whatever.

Quote spam. It's a thing. Don't let it make your threads five million lines per page.
Edit: I'm just saying there's no need to keep quoting long conversation threads, you can just snip it to the last comment to keep comments from becoming gigantic. I'm all for digibyte activating segwit.

Hello folks, I'm looking into doing some exploratory CPU Mining and I find AEON to be quite interesting. I have not been able to find a profitability calculator for it and I was wondering if anyone knew of one? Thanks!
There's really no such thing as a profitability calculator for CPU mining, afaik. I think your only real options are Aeon, Monero or other Cryptonight algo coin, or a Yescrypt algo coin (Myriadcoin or BSTY I think). So, maybe mine for a day on each and see what seems best.
