i can install vs2015 and try to compile, but i don't remeber now all the things needed, aside from cuda 8 and vs2015 what else is needed? all the dependencies i mean
to compile with cuda 7.5 or older you need vs2013. vs2015 isn't supported. Don't know for cuda 8. |

Mine is SuperJetstream with Samsung memory. They already have bios with increased TDP so they can OC better. Plus in palit thunderstorm utility you can raise gddr memory voltage to achieve better memory OC. actually the 480 does that at a max of 150 watts, 180 watts is just too much for my PSU's
Actually i didn't do correct wattage measurements from the wall. I rely to nvidia software readings ... So I guess it is 170-180watt. I know that bios mod for rx480 can push it to 32mhs eth but only in single mode and no less then 180watt with crazy temps. |

rx 480 does around 26 eth and 470 sia for half the price , that is if you can find any rx 480 lol
Yes, it is not so spectaculars as in lbry or lyra2v2 but it is 30+780 against 26+470 with the same power usage. Now I stop with (31.6eth+630sia)@2050/2400@0.975v. Doubt that rx480 can come near even with bios mods. |

well i feel dumb - just realised my cards have been running for over a week without gpu-tweak running in the background as i had thought it was. I'm now pushing a lot better hashrates!
card1: 2038core(+231), 0.990v, 8380mem (+779), 65C, 110% power target, 60% fans = 281 MH
card2: 1924core(+209), 0.925v, 8344mem (+752), 69C, 96% power target, 66% fans = 260 MH
there is no need to oc memory for lbry, better to downclock it as much as possible (-1000). |

i don't think it work that way, because the 980ti can do only 14MH, but yes i also think a 1070 might do 20MH, but 40MH seems too much
I was able to get 15mh from gtx1070 with high oc on old miner. It is very bad. Good miner will do 30+ easily but again ... this coin is dead ... no need to bother. |

if it was optimized for a 1070 it would be very profitable, should be at least 15MH per card, so the profit would be like lbry at least

Interesting , which clock did you reach such speed on  2126mhz. Then the card (with 170watt tdp in bios) even with +114% in afterburner is power limited to go higher. And I am afraid to flash unlimited bios ... the card is with 8pin only, on warranty and rather expensive. |

1. learn howto use nicehash without nicehash miner
2. learn howto to compile and run cpuminer-opt
3. learn howto undervolt your cpu with Intel XTU
And then nevertheless it will be the risk that your laptop will die due overheating or big power usage 24/7
