1181  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: April 19, 2023, 07:56:25 AM
You see one thing in life, when one tends to grow higher, he or she decides to take up much bigger task which otherwise means the risk too increases for one to get at the top. Everything about life evolves or revolves around one taking risk in life.
The better thing to say these days is to take calculated risk, not foolish risks.

The "no risk, no reward" mentality although is good has put some people in deeper problems and challenges. I know someone who is heavily indebted and decided to still gambled with money he was paid for a job in expectations that he will be able to win and settle all his debt. Doesn't sound wise right? it was risk he took, but that was not a properly thought out and calculated risk.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: April 19, 2023, 07:42:45 AM
Betting and Gambling are fun activities were there many options to bet or gamble on, but people Play and bet/gamble on sports/games that they have good knowledge about and offers them entertainment and fun. In my opinion that is how it should be, that is bet/gamble on sports/games that you have interest and knowledge in.

Betting/gambling on sports/games that you have interest and knowledge in will increase your chances of winning.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still a digital currency on: April 18, 2023, 09:42:16 PM
Most people being introduced into bitcoin sees bitcoin as a means of investment, precisely since 2018. They don't even care of knowing what it is use for, all they care about is that they can make money from it and this flaw has been exploited by the government and now most countries legalising Bitcoin, legalised Bitcoin as an asset instead as an digital currency.
Your post is quite a length, but from the little I understand is that this discussion is to address the fact that many people see bitcoin as something to invest in rather than the whole image of it where it should also be used as a currency even first even before an investment opportunity. The investment opportunity in bitcoins is very attractive, and if it were just for currency that bitcoin can be used, buying of bitcoins will be low because many people care less about a new currency.
1184  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 18, 2023, 09:29:37 AM
Can you make bets on horses that are AI vs making bets on real horses? I see a new gambling project that focuses on horse racing only and I am surprised that those horses are not real live horses, I went deep doing research and it kinda looks like players will be the ones fine-tuning their horses 🐎 for better performance and go ahead to head with other players.
The future has a lot in store, and as every industry develops, we expect the same for the gambling industry, we expect to see a new type of gambling that will be a step further from gambling with cryptocurrency that was something very unimaginable some years ago.

Do you think that gambling have a place with the metaverse in the future? I had a dream about being able to gamble online with people that aren't living close to me, we meet in the metaverse and it looks real, I know that sometimes when you think positively about something it is possible to dream about it.
Gambling in metaverse will be possible, maybe by then it will be with AI as you have described or another way, but there will be a provision for gambling in the metaverse. The Metaverse will include as many things that will make it fun for people to want to return, gambling is a fun activity so it will have a place in the Metaverse.

Meaning: if you allow everyone into your business, you invite enemies and attackers into your business, and your secrets are your power.
Na confam talk be this.

Proverb: Man wey see how pepper enter e brother eyes go learn to wash hand well after e dun chop, he nor suppose mumu put hand for eye too.

Meaning: Try to learn from people's experience, they say experience is the best teacher, but do not let it always be your teacher.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 17, 2023, 06:16:03 AM
Nobody is saying that we SHOULD play on minor gambling platforms. You could play on any platform you want. Just be careful and don't deposit big amounts of crypto on any platform(it doesn't matter if it's big or small). Just gamble for fun and spend money that you can afford to lose.
I don't know about any small online casinos, that can offer something more than the big ones. Sometimes the players just fall in love with a small casino and the casino grows and becomes a big casino. Sometimes you have to give a chance to a small business owner, who is legit and willing to develop and grow his business, while staying honest to his customers.
This is well said.

Every gambler should be as conscious about themselves and actions as they would want to be about the casino chosen to play on whether big or small. You are a gambler and you are already used to loosing money, It will hurt less if you lost some little money to a casino with issues even when you did not gamble with it than when a large amount of money is lost simply because you have the habit of keeping large amounts of money that you cannot loose on your gambling account.

As as gambler, stay conscious about your gambling habits.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 17, 2023, 05:57:45 AM
I take part in lotteries but I usually do not make a lot of hope to win a lottery. Participating n the lottery is the easiest thing but getting a win out of it may be the most difficult thing. By the way, its fun participating in online lotteries.
You reduce your chances of winning by not being hopeful and positive that you can win it. To win a lottery is difficult, by why do you keep playing without being hopeful to win? People win lotteries, and at any moment, it could be your turn, you do not need to terminate it with too much doubts. Whenever you take part in lottery and then you do not win, rather than saying you are not lucky, console yourself with a better thought that it is not your turn to win.

1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 17, 2023, 05:48:42 AM
I understand the need for people who know that they cannot control themselves well to stay away from gambling because some gamblers start as responsible before becoming irresponsible after some time, but if you are not like that and you are already a gambler, as much as there are negative sides to gambling, gambling has some positive side too that we often neglect to emphasize. Since we are are discussing gambling in general and some of the negative sides have been highlighted, it is fair that we also bring in some positive aspects of being a gambler and gambling that have been discussed before. Below are some positive characteristics of gamblers.

Quote
-Development of Risk taking ability; to win big in life, you must be willing to try, and gamblers have so developed their risk taking ability.

-Development of the ability to quickly let go of things and move on; Dwelling on the past and the possibility of "what could have been" is really not healthy and it can weigh you down and distract you from "what can be". Though not so easy, gamblers have developed this ability to easily look ahead from the "near win" of yesterday, to try again today.

-Positive mentality (that is always believing that everyday we gamble, it may just be our lucky day for the big win).

- Consistency/ Not quiting attitude; Always trying regardless of  previous results.

A positive evaluation of gambling.

PS: THIS IS NOT TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO GAMBLE
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What font is the B in the Bitcoin symbol? Not the lines just the B. on: April 16, 2023, 07:03:03 AM
no normal font has the B with double vertical strike through
True

no normal font has the B with double vertical strike through

it was made by using adobe photoshop as a image using probably a font like 'emboldened and widened clarendon' then added the vertical strikes

im not saying it is clarendon. im saying is a basic font like that, that was then photo edited
If anyone wishes to get names of fonts close to the one that was modified on the bitcoin logo, there is an application for designers that can be used to detect a font used in a design they may want to replicate.

I use it on my android device and this is a link to the app on the Google Play store. Whatthefont

IOS users can check to see if it is available to them too.

To find out a list of font that look like that on the bitcoin logo, you have to undo the modifications on the logo to just the letter "B", take a picture of the "B" you have modified with the application on your phone and search on the application. A list of names of similar font will pop up.

1190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Gambling 13 years later.......... on: April 16, 2023, 06:33:39 AM
I hope Jimboway is still living to see what he recommended 13 years ago come to reality.
There are a few dreamers that believe in the power of the future, Jimboway and most members of this forum are an example.

Bogdog.com was a well-known fiat casino back then, and they are now one of the largest that accepts bitcoin and cryptocurrency as payment.
It is good that Bogdog.com evolved with time and began accepting bitcoins and cryptocurrency.

Some companies have failed and gone out of business mainly because they refused to rebrand, repackaged and evolve with some important trends, so their profit reduced and they went out of business, over shadowed by the presence of new businesses with trend.

There are so many strange things going on with the US dollar right now, I believe that the US dollar will be backed by Bitcoin someday (the Us dollar being backed by faith is not enough); it may not happen now, but it will happen in a few years.. sounds ridiculous right?
May sound ridiculous to some still, but I believe in the future.
1191  Economy / Economics / Re: How do feels losing money? on: April 14, 2023, 03:11:48 PM
I have not gotten myself this days. Do you feel down when such sudden hits happens to you?
At the news about the loss of an investment, it cannot bring you joy because it is a bad news and not what any investor will want to hear. This kind of news hits really hard when you committed a lot of money financially to the investment, money that you would not have liked to loose. General advice is to first do a proper research personally before committing to any investment, and then invest an amount of money that you can loose because there is always the possibility of loss when investing.

It is a sad story OP,  I hope you have learnt from the experience.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout money on: April 14, 2023, 12:42:53 PM
hello is it possible to cash out money  without being the owner without having documents to proof you are the owner  and when the account is frozen?
It is difficult to take what is not yours, maybe this was possible before, and due to many issues that may have arose from this, the Casino's decided to put an end to it to avoid them from repeating itself KYC normally demanded by Casino's to know their customer is also for the protection and verification of customers for these sort of situations, so their money will not be easily collected by someone who has access to their account.
1193  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No b to rush enter tech nah to choose beta tech skil b d mata on: April 14, 2023, 12:11:14 PM
I nor understand..e get any tech skill wey dey useless, you go do the one wey your power reach them nor dey kee body put.
Interest is also something to be considered when choosing a skill. Choose a tech skill that you know is around a field in tech that you have an interest in, do not follow the majority without considering your interest and love for that skill. Learning a skill is the number one thing, the next thing is application of the skill, and without you being able to apply that skill you have learnt, the skill becomes useless. Interest and Passion is what will determine how committed you will stay to applying that skill. Interest and passion is what will keep you going. It is easier to keep doing what you like.
1194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett Blasts Bitcoin as 'Gambling Token' as BTC Surges 35% in 30 Days on: April 14, 2023, 11:18:51 AM

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett doubled down on his Bitcoin criticism today, once again suggesting that the asset is nothing more than a get-rich-quick scheme.

In a Wednesday interview with CNBC, the Berkshire Hathaway boss said he didn’t blame people for wanting to get involved in what looks like “easy money.”

And today he continued his critique. “Something like Bitcoin, it’s a gambling token,” he said on CNBC’s Squawk Box. “The urge to participate in something where it looks like easy money is a human instinct which has been unleashed and has always been there.”

He continued: “It’s so human. People love the idea of getting rich quick—I don’t blame them,” before adding that Bitcoin doesn’t have any value but people still want to “play the roulette wheel” by investing in it.

Warren Buffet is a wealthy man who is old and one characteristic that people who are old and wealthy have is that they are not easy to convince with new ideas, so forgive Warren if he still has no trust in bitcoins. He is old and wealthy and may not live long enough to regret his decision unlike the people who are young, do not have money at all and will follow him in this his belief, choosing to ignore this opportunity to invest and make some good life changing gains in a couple of years.

I will tell people to always learn to form their opinions and not just adopt the opinion of others even if you feel they are at a position better than you.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 14, 2023, 06:52:37 AM
so i am sharing some tips to avoid this type of losing streak or bad luck in slots.
The tips you have shared are what you have learnt from loosing, they are not all valid tips, some are only applicable to land casino's and not online crypto casino's that some of us have become used to currently.

2. if a slot machine does not hit in 7-10 spins, consider trying a different machine. this can help you avoid getting stuck on a losing streak and losing more money.
3. if you have been playing a slot machine for 50 spins and have not gotten any free spins or big wins, consider switching to a different machine.
this can help you avoid wasting money on a machine that is unlikely to pay out.
7. avoid getting "slot psychosis" where you get stuck on one machine for too long. remember that slots are based on random chance and there is no guaranteed way to win.
so, take breaks, switch machines and remember to have fun!
Imagine playing in an offline casino with limited slot machines or in a casino where the slot machine they have are all occupied by users and then you become stuck with one machine, the most important tip is to not chase your losses, and come try another day.

6. if you do hit a big win, consider tipping any nearby players who may have been unlucky or busting. This can help spread good karma and keep the atmosphere positive.
This is superstitious and just what you believe.
1196  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: April 13, 2023, 06:11:29 PM
The chance of being successful won't be hindered by age but rather by our lack of motivation to strive higher. We should never lose confidence if we are aging because as long as we are alive, we will always have the chance to reach our dreams.
I want to agree with you, but to agree to this statement is to tell ourselves the partial truth. There are some dreams that are tied to certain age range after which those dreams become no longer achievable mainly because of your age. The sooner you realize this the better for you so you can work harder to achieve that dream while you still can. Imagine someone whose dream is to be a professional footballer of an athlete. If they passes a certain age, they will no longer be eligible to achieve their dream even if they do not let go of the dream.

Know your dreams and determine if they are tied to time, if they are, work hard to achieve them while you still can, if they are not, then do not put yourself under too much unnecessary pressure.
1197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I earn only from cryptocurrencies? on: April 13, 2023, 05:05:37 PM
I wonder, how many of you work in crypto full time, and how many use this as an additional source of income?

If you want to, you can share with us what you are doing in crypto. Is it trading, aidrops, writing articles, marketing, etc ?
Choosing crypto only as full time is not good advice to me, multiple sources of income is always better any time any day. Multiple sources from one field is good but not still the best (e.g engaging in trading, investing or hunting airdrops are all under cryptocurrency). Multiple sources from different fields is best (that is being engaged in other things that bring money like Real Estate etc just as you are involved in crypto). If you are just into cryptocurrencies and depend on it, be ready to face rough times when they come.
1198  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW Flush.com Crypto Casino - ♠️ $BTC ♦️ $ETH ♣️ $DOGE ♥️ $LTC on: April 13, 2023, 04:36:39 PM
The new DEV team completely updated the UI of the casino.
The new UI looks sleek and beautiful, I did not see what the UI was updated from, but I am pretty sure this looks better and more attractive.

The new DEV team completely updated the UI of the casino. Perhaps, the old DEV team didn't give the permission to Flush.com owner to continue with the old in-house games. I think the new DEV team has wiped out the old statistics of the users when they launched this updated version.
These are terms to seriously consider with DEV's currently for the future to avoid these sort of situations from repeating itself. It can be discouraging for old users to loose statistics on their games, some may not have the mind to start afresh.

Moving forward for new users, I am sure this is something the Flush team has made efforts to ensure does not happen to them and also something to ensure does not repeat itself for the old users who stick with Flush and start their games afresh.
1199  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asking me for KYC although their site explicitly states no KYC on: April 13, 2023, 04:19:21 PM
I have been playing some time now on justbit.io. Won some money, and my account stands approx 8 mbtc. I asked to withdraw 5 mbtc and today they asked me for KYC procedure (ID and other stuff). By their site states explicitly that they do not ask for KYC if crypto was used to deposit. This sounds me like scam. They will not pay me
Sounds like when you were going through the terms and conditions of the casino before you started gambling there, you only searched for terms and conditions regarding some key details like KYC verification and did not take time to read through the whole thing. You did good even trying to read the KYC in the first place, but you will do better just as everyone else here if you read the whole thing. That I know can be stressful, but it is advisable because only then will you get the whole scope of the terms and conditions and know if you will still play there or not.
1200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF ONLY EVERYONE CAN EASILY ACCEPT CRYPTO on: April 13, 2023, 03:55:38 PM
High rate of crypto illiteracy still makes me sad.
Don't spend time being sad about the situation, when there is something that you can actually do to change it. Many members of the forum have identified this same problem of low or wrong knowledge about crypto in their environment and they are actively taking steps to try to influence the situation and change things. You can organise a seminar for people who are interested in learning about cryptocurrency.

-Tell them the difference between bitcoins and other altcoins.
-Tell them the potential of bitcoin and why it was created.
- Tell them the benefits it will have.

With a little effort in educating a few persons, it will spread from there and other people will hear in a little time. You can actually change things.

If bitcoin is highly illegal in your country, you should try another approach that does not expose your identity easily.
