1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cold or Hot Slot? on: June 10, 2023, 09:49:03 PM
Got curious about the title? So am I!  Cheesy

I recently discovered the live RTP feature on the casino I'm playing right now. It shows data on the actual RTP of the game in a certain time frame. This shows what slot is paying the most and slot that doesn't pay at all.

RTP(Return to Player) -  is a term used in gambling and online games to refer to the percentage or prizes that will be returned to a player depending on funds deposited during the game initially. Return to Player is one of the ways to attract players.

(Screenshot from Bitcasino.io)

I'm still in the discovery phase of this feature and I don't know exactly what's the best working strategy. Some users said that it's good to use a hot slot or high live RTP because it's consistent in giving payout but other users use a cold slot or low live RTP for a chance to win a huge multiplier since a slot machine that recently pays huge amount is very rare to payout again some huge amount on short period of time.

What strategy you are using related to live RTP?
To be honest I don't always trust the RTP shown by the games because it's very theoretical and we don't know if it has been checked by an independent third party organization, especially a reliable one, and how they have checked it and certifying it. So I prefer gambling at slots getting a high live RTP, because those games have less chances of being "rigged" or displaying a wrong/fake RTP.

I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

     -  What is that? from your 1000$ starting gamble you managed to grow 100k$? or instead of only losing 1000$ you lost 100k$? did I understand correctly? Because gambling is always a loss and always a win.

That's why if you always experience winning there are only two things, either you are really lucky or you use fraud. Today, the loss of gambling by players often in a casino is normal in gambling and cannot be changed.
You're wrong mate, Mr. Magkaisa isn't talking about gambling at casino, he's talking about gambling at sport bets. Unlike casino games, where you can hardly overcome the house edge, at sports bets, you can do it if you are a very good bettor. Because it's almost impossible to guess the outcome at Roulette, but it's not totally impossible for a match. And if for outcomes @2.00 odds for example you're able to guess the right result 60% of the times, you will make profits because 0.60 x 2.00 > 1

You can lock your bag on Freebitoin  and you will get up to 25% APY on top of your premium program perks. Moreover each quarter 1% of the profits from fun token casinos are burnt. You can also easily convert them into XFUN token in your FUN wallet and you will be able to you use them with almost 0 fees on the polygon network. And since xfun is not listed on exchanges, the more the people convert them into xfun, the more FUN tokens are put out of circulation
1% of profit will be burnt each quarter is one of tools to control inflation of FUN token but is it enough?

I am not sure about the inflation from FUN token staking program APYs and 1% profit burnt, is the burning progress enough to control inflation? I know staking must bring good APY but it only makes senses for investors and stakers if in the long run, token price won't be dumped by inflation that is contributed by the staking program.
1% is for the lay bettors on xfun.bet but on other FUN casinos/games it's 50% of the house profit that is burned. If more people would gamble their FUN tokens instead of staking them, quarterly burns could be way bigger than that. The so-called inflation, is not a real inflation. The total supply of FUN tokens can't increase and almost all FUN tokens are already in circulation. That's why the fully diluted market cap is almost the same as the current one.

Well it reacts to it but not very positively lately. Bounce in 2021 was insane and even the recovery pump, but after that price has pretty much died. I am not saying it wouldn't recover explosively when bitcoin finally moons but before that it needs to discover the bottom, It might even go ATL for all i know so i am not touching it yet.

Is there any other reason to buy FUN except freebitco bonuses? In other words - I do not think it has any value for traders (especially the price is quite stable). And even if you are freebitco gambler usually you just buy it once in the amount you find reasonable (depending which premium level you target) and forget.

Congratulations for all the winners on both pools, what a bad luck for saint loup, losing it in the last round.

In my case i dont know when i lost so bad the train in this pools, but when i wake up it was too late.

I expect the next year can be more competitivie in all the pools and not only in one or two.
LOL thank you very much for the support darxiaomi but I'm very happy with this second place and its prize of course even if it's almost half of the first rank prize, that's still a very nice and big price for such a pool. I knew it will be very difficult to manage to keep the first rank since several contestants were just behind me, and the competition was very disputed. Anyway it would be boring if this kind of things wouldn't happen. So congratulations to Leea-1334 and all the winners, and thank you very much to Trofo, Sportsbet, and to all the participants, for this awesome 10 months long contest. I don't think I will be able to dedicate the same amount of time to the pools in the coming year, but I think I will at least try to subscribe in order to support the pool for the next season. So see you soon in August I hope.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 09, 2023, 09:28:06 AM
It's also a shame to see some parents not to know what their children are doing in secret, i count it as being insensitive enough to know that your child is gamble being a student whereby gambling requires money to do it, also i will blame the parents the second time for the kind of upbringings the child was exposed to that has led to his thinking about comitting suicide, how did they arrived at training their child having that kind of mentality, he would have been so used to making friends or too used to an open environment full of different atrocities.
The biggest shame is for the casinos explicitly targeting youngsters though. They know they are unaware of the real value of money, they know they are hardly able to manage it appropriately, they know they are more likely to develop a gambling addiction, they know they are less likely to sue them or to make any other things against them if they are scammed. But they don't care, they have already made billions of USD from them and they continue to target them through social medias and streaming platforms like Twitch or Kick. But behind those losses there are tragedies.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 08, 2023, 11:58:28 PM
How many times have you successfully invited some gamblers to online casino? What is your experience doing so? I know many will find this hard to believe but I kinda prefer bringing in gamblers than investors into crypto, why? They understood the risk already, there is no talk and talk over again, there is no dealing with someone fear and confidence..

I have successfully brought in four people into crypto gambling, and it was the easiest thing ever, they came asking if it's possible to use crypto for gambling and I said yes, but I told them that I am not ready to introduce any platform for anyone, but these guys then showed me there past gambles on a local website that only accept Fiat, that's when I got soft with them and I showed them the websites I use for gambling.

The thing is, they are small time winners and big time losers, I mean they lose more than winning, it's been two weeks and two of them tell me about their loss and gains, but they make it feel normal, to them it really is, not like the crypto investors today, always in hurry to double their money, some are even scared of investing in Bitcoin, which is the safest of them all.
That's an original point in the crypto world, especially because you need to discover cryptos before being able to use at casinos or elsewhere but I understand what you mean, it's better to introduce crypto as a mean to easily gambling online than as an investment plan from which you can make money. It's better to talk about the risks of gambling introducing a new comer to that activity though.
1188  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 08, 2023, 09:59:38 PM
What they check are

The original source you are using for the register at the time you are registered + your ID origin being used for the verification. Based from my own perspective they will match the source like IP + ID.

It's the same or not, and then once you have a new section or maybe activity from not the original source you are using at the first time you are using. It's gonna to give the flag or warning to you (especially to your account).

Every service doing these, even an exchange will can lock your account for security purpose. If you have different section, but if you using "VPN" for avoided your country restricted the problem are on you because you are should be restricted and broke T&C.
No, don't say it's a normal thing to lock an account because an user is using a VPN please. Using a VPN is a right in almost every country of the world, many people always use a VPN when they go on internet and there are now browsers with integrated VPNs into them like Opera. Except scammy ones, exchanges don't lock accounts just because users are using VPNs. Usually they just send a link within an email to confirm you are the real user if they detect a change from your usual locations, it's more than enough with the 2FA security. But accepting funds deposited by an user using a VPN and then locking his account when he wants to withdraw them is what it is, a scammy practice.

Quote
Coinbase, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has been charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for operating as an unregistered national securities exchange, broker and clearing agency. The SEC also accused Coinbase of failing to register its crypto asset staking-as-a-service program. The complaint alleges that since 2019, Coinbase has facilitated the buying and selling of billions of dollars' worth of crypto asset securities without proper registration, combining the functions of an exchange, broker, and clearing agency.
Source : Bitcoin Magazine

https://www.economie.gouv.fr/tracfin/comment-et-quand-declarer

https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/codes/article_lc/LEGIARTI000041593434

https://twitter.com/CryptoHold4Ever/status/1665709411581435906

A more important factor to consider is a tokenomics, token inflationary scheme that will decide the token rally from bottom and make a new bottom. I don't read about staking programs for FUN token but I hope that the team have good thinking to prevent inflation on this token.

Price won't be able to climb up if inflation is increasing and won't be stopped.
I agree with you 25% or 20% APY is pretty high IMO, it could be relevant at the beginning in order to attract new comers, but I don't think the investment plan still attract many people. It can even worry or frighten them by making it looking like a HYIP. On the other hand it's hard to guess what would happen if those rates were decreased. Some people would certainly stop locking their tokens and would sell it.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 06, 2023, 06:19:36 AM
Breaching the TOS is enough reason for a casino to lock our account.  Whether they confiscate the fund in that account is for the casino to decide.  For the given scenario of @OP specifically what is stated in the platform TOS, the player is already breaching the TOS the moment he uses VPN.  For me, it is enough to Ban the player's account and confiscate all his winning since the gambler is accessing the site's service illegally. Whether they confiscate the initial fund or not is depending on the casino TOS,
I don't know how often you gamble at casinos but it's a very common practice though. Casinos usually don't care much about that because it's technically not easy to prove an user is using a VPN, and because it's a common right of people to use a VPN in almost every country. You claim casinos have the right to lock user accounts and even to confiscate money for that purpose. But are you sure Curaçaoan or Costa Rican laws are allowing them to do such a thing? Even if one user breaches a clause of some ToS, it doesn't mean his money legally not belongs to him anymore, especially his deposited funds. It could be understandable to cancel winnings when essential terms haven't been respected, but it's not honest at all to seize people funds for such a thing. Some casinos like 1xbit are red tagged for doing this kind of thing obviously, so I'm a little bit surprised some users like you are advocating these practices here.

Thanks for playing and don't forget to send jeremypwr and Sportsbet some love. Without their sponsorship this pool would be no where near as fun and we'd just be playing for the peanut entry fees  Cheesy. Hopefully the pool will continue to grow year on year as it had done so far.
I've received my prize too thank you very much, and thank you to jeremypwr and Sportsbet as well for their generous sponsorship.

I think there is scientific basis for cycles, even in sporting clubs. And unfortunately, Liverpool seem to be in 7th season funk, which especially appears to be true for Klopp -- I can only hope that we buck the trend. Am most nervous about how on earth we're replacing the midfield, something long overdue and now even more urgent that we've lost 3 key players in the position, should retire another, and will lose even the backup loan option.

Saint-Loup, conqueror of all pools...
LOL buwaytress except for the Liga and Serie A pools I don't think I got very good results in pools until now. Liga and Serie A pools were quite small and several participants have dropped out of the contest on top of that, so it was certainly a little bit easier to get lucky than in other pools. I know this is a bit controversial, but some casinos are looking the other way... when people are using VPNs. I know it might be legal in some instances, but you are still taking a risk by using it.

Online gambling is legal in my country, but sometimes I have to travel to a country where it is illegal. I then use a VPN to be able to access the site. This is one of the reasons why some casinos allow people to use VPNs..... but you are still taking a huge risk.

Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?
Usually reputed casinos won't lock your accounts and steal your balance for that, except if you are a good sport bettor or if you are "abusing" their bonuses and promotions or if they suspect you to have found a loophole in a game or some tricks to get an advantage over the house. In addition you shouldn't forget that in some countries it's not forbidden for the citizens to play at online casinos while authorities prohibit casinos to let their citizens play there. It means users won't break the laws if they manage to play at those casinos, and casinos won't break the law of those countries if they show they don't let their citizens to play normally there.
