121  Local / India / Re: [March 2024 update] Indian Board activity on Bitcointalk on: May 09, 2024, 02:17:56 PM
If someone does apply then it would take ages to get approved. It is better if anyone is inclined in getting merits to contact the global merit source and ask them to review post. It has been done previously and if you want @Bitxoin Smith I can help you with a few names. Above all I can request @icopress, if he is now a merit source to look into our board.

After reading all the replies can I say that there is a shadow ban on non-KYC exchange. My straightforward reasoning is that none of us know how to work out to find bad money in the form of Bitcoin. It might be an issue but there are great minds here who could find a solution to this issue. That will be the next step to wipe out Bitcoin's negative fame.

I was never a big fan of KL Rahul, but it is humiliating and disconcerting to see such a pathetic response from LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka in front of a live audience. For me, this kind of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. The question that comes to my mind is, will BCCI take action against the franchise owner? If it was a player then they would have taken strict action and would have fined the player the match fee.

I am still confused whether the owner is angry or is giving advice to KL Rahul. Do remember he is sone in law of a famous Bollywood celebrity who has a commendable PR team that made him a star. He might have used this opportunity to get him placed in the squad of an upcoming ICC event. As per my understanding this is another PR strategy to make KL Rahul look as he is on the recieving end as a captain who tried his level best.
124  Local / India / Re: How whales convert their crypto to INR! on: May 09, 2024, 12:41:39 PM
@Bitcoin Smith, whales never convert crypto to INR. A whale can be considered as an institutional investor or a private investor whose main objective is to gain high profit through market manipulation or short selling. A whale is not like a retail investor who will need money after a certain amount of trade. They invest with certain goals and unless they achieve it they keep funds on the exchange as explained by @Bureau.

Do remember a whale is not a guy who is alone as he will have employees working under him to look into all aspects. They generally don't convert crypto to fiat whereas they use NFT, STO, and other options to hold on to their profits. That is why the NFT market never follows the crypto market which has been proven multiple times, if you do not agree then do a Google search.

I was going through the replies and found most users are condescending to each other. The whole argument again stands on the point, how to find dirty money or how to recognize dirty money? Ultimately it is @Theymos who banned mixer advertisements in the forum and it is his responsibility to decide whether a non-KYC exchange should be allowed to start a signature campaign.

The Sceptical Chymist, argument meant that in the future an exchange like MEXC Global cannot start a signature campaign as they don't know the source of the payment. We know mixers will take Bitcoin and the payment will be in Bitcoin whereas a non-KYC exchange will allow withdrawal in other cryptocurrencies. The problem with mixers is that they allow dirty Bitcoin mixing to get legally white Bitcoin. The concept was always clear but we are making it confusing but now it has been made complicated and in the future, I feel that non-KYC exchanges will not be able to advertise in the forum.
126  Local / India / Re: ED seize and possess funds from scam is new and unexpected! on: May 08, 2024, 12:52:48 PM
I just got this notification in my browser yesterday and I really surprised ED seized funds from exchanges wallets that assumed to be involved in the scam happened in 2022 got back in their possession. If I am not this is the first time I ever read something from Indian government authorities successful going after crypto scam/hacks.

ED seizes funds worth Rs 90 crore kept in Binance, ZebPay, WazirX wallets

This seems good because crypto scams on the rise ever since crypto came to lime light in India especially Bank account freeze because the money we recieved is involved in some kind of money laundering so this kind of actions can put an end to bank freezes?

Since this money is linked with a scam website, I think the action is fair! The scammers need to understand that crypto is not their safe heaven. The reputation of crypto market is not really great when it comes to illegal practices. However, when authorities take action for something criminal, that's good! I hope that no common person has lost their money due to this seizure. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Crypto scams are on rise everywhere. It is really hard to distinguish between legal or illegal transactions.

This is just the beginning and it shows how much ED is now involved to catch hold of these scammers. In most cases, I have seen scammers used cryptocurrency to lure investors by using MLM leaders to convince investors. Those leaders at the top would make money and leave the concept whereas those who join in the lower end are the ones who lose money.

Yesterday Sanju Samson's out was controversial. I felt he wasn't out but the TV umpire goofed it up and further he has now been fined 30% of match fee because of his argument with the field umpire. This is not the first time that TV umpires have given wrong decision after taking help of the technology. I feel the time has now come to replace TV umpires with AI umpires who will take the right decision.

That was not an out it was a six but the TV umpire goofed up once again. This might be the third or fourth time that a TV umpire gave a out that wasn't an out. I don't understand how do they make such mistakes when they have technology in hand where they can verify their reasoning multiple time. The BCCI should take such incidents in account before selecting the umpires for IPL.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: May 08, 2024, 12:02:52 PM
Another controversial decision by the TV umpire. What was your reaction when you saw Sanju Samson declared out after TV review?

I am certain it was a six as the toe did touch the boundary cushion. Wrong decision by the TV umpire has now become a new normal in this year IPL. If they are not able to use technology to their benefit then why use it?

He does know that this WC will be his last to get the trophy otherwise he will never be known as a captain who won the trophy as for batting he has been over shadowed by Kohli.

Rohit Sharma might not have won the trophy, but you can't disagree with the fact that India's run in ODI world cup was formidable. In finale too, until Rohit was on crease the team's ship was sailing smooth, only when he got out did things went downhill, his dismissal was major cause why India lost the world cup.

Fair point but for how many days Rohit will be gaining the sympathy of the nation after the ODIWC. What has happened has happened but the future is not that bright. He is not fit yet he gets to be the captain. He has not be able to bat in T20 format still he is the captain. He was chosen before the IPL had started and in the meantime everyone was focused on the SR of Kohli in T20.

129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jeremy Rubin coming out of retirement - "You can't deny it's Jeremy Season" on: May 07, 2024, 03:33:00 PM
To be fair not a lot of things come up with Jeremy Rubin when he is searched.

The reason being he is nothing as compared to those developers who tried thier level best to make Bitcoin as big a sit is now. To my understanding he is a controversial individual like OP. If you look into those negative trust you will be able to understand. Who knows he is the same individual who is now trying to promote a frustrated tweet from a developer who left Bitcon and now he is coming back with a vengeance  Grin

Anyway, wtf is going on with Delhi? lol
DC is fully dependent on their opening pair and in particular J. Fraser-McGurk. He did his part and got them a good beginning , as usual they didn't use it for themselves. This is not the first time that he helped DC. What I feel bad is that as soon as Rishab Pant was announced as part of the team his abilities as a batter can be questioned.

For me what we see is what we know. As for me Rishabh Panth is struggling after getting selected. The question now is to know whether BCCI selection team will rethink what they selected. Starting with Rohit Sharma and a few others on that list.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 07, 2024, 02:40:43 PM
It does not matter now if DC wins against RR as the latter is comfortably placed in the second spot on the point table. What I want is whether Jake Fraser-McGurk can again repeat his batting abilities. If I am correct he has not been selected for the final squad of Australia which will be playing in the upcoming T20WC. As for RR, I would love to watch these three batters Jaiswal, Parag, and Jurel. Jaiswal is back in action which is good for the Indian team as he is part of the squad whereas the other two are promising and they might be on the radar of BCCI.

Let me guess, the AI response bots haven't indexed enough information about BIP119 so they aren't able to reply to this thread.

No one cares about a developer who created the controversial protocol and left the scene when he was questioned. X.com formerly known as Twitter is a platform where drunks come alive to vent their frustration. I think this is what he has done with those tweets, BTW, before being judgemental do think about other aspects as there are tons of articles published about BIP119 in the year 2022 a simple google search can do the work.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: May 07, 2024, 01:48:41 PM
MI is now getting into the spoilers party along with RCB, made things tough for SRH who thought will end up in the first 2 positions.

SKY showed his class with 102*, but he is kind of struggled in the midway hope there's no injury or we might see a forced change int T20 squad. Once again MI openers failed and form for Rohit is big concern now for India.

Finally, will they rest Bumrah who needs a break before the WC for sure and there's no point for forcing him to play when there's zero possibility for them to qualify.

They won because SKY made a thrilling comeback just before the T20WC otherwise they would have lost again. Hardik Pandya bowled well if I compare his bowling previously in the IPL, he got 3 wickets and was more economical than he has been. If I am correct with my calculation, SRH needs to win 2 games out of the three left, so hopefully they will not have many problems qualifying for the playoffs. Their NRR is still better than LSG for now but they need to bring it up as it has gone into the negative zone.

Rohit Sharma has been struggling after the ODIWC and might again do it right when he starts playing in the ICC event. The problem with Rohit is that if he goes to bat on pitches that are not batter friendly he tends to lose his wicket too early if not then he keeps on batting till he gets to his half-century. The biggest problem with him now is his fitness which should be a big concern for BCCI. He does know that this WC will be his last to get the trophy otherwise he will never be known as a captain who won the trophy as for batting he has been over shadowed by Kohli.
135  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: May 07, 2024, 10:23:03 AM
Rohit always had a weak link against pacers with the new ball, but his hitting ability is what covered it for long. We should not forget he got a 100 in this year for MI as well against MI.

That is the only century that he has got in IPL 2024. Out of 11 innings he managed to get 326 runs after including that century. His batting abilities in the present time are no matches to what he used to do in his younger days. As a 37 year old this will be his last try to get a World Cup trophy. If this time he is unsuccessful then his PR team won't be able to help him gain sympathy from the country.

He is in the worst form of his career, he has fitness issues and has the worst stats in this IPL. Considering all the above issues why BCCI still wants Rohit to captain a team which is going play the T20WC. Media and every cricket fan are so much obsessed with Kohli that they forget about Rohit's batting for the last three or four years. If today Kohli retires then it will be an end for Rohit career as he will be forced to retire from all formats of cricket.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Got 1 Million $SHIB airdroped in a trading competition! What Should I do? on: May 06, 2024, 02:37:31 PM
It sounds good that most of the time you make investment in Bitcoin which is a prudent decision in view of leading its leading role in cryptocurrencies market with it distinguished features. As far Shiba Inu, whether to hold it or sell them in bullish market is ultimately your choice depending on your fincnail circumstances and risk tolerance level,  however if were in your shoes, I would consider converting most of them into Bitcoin.

After I decided to keep those tokens on my local exchange, I discovered that my country's tax law requires me to pay a 30 percent tax on any capital gains and a 1 percent TDS (Tax Deduction at Source). This means that if I sell those coins, I will end up paying more in taxes than I would make from the airdrop. Therefore, I have decided to hold onto my Shiba Inu tokens until they have a USD value that is high enough to cover the taxable amount. In short, I am not going to do anything with these coins until I believe they are profitable for me after taxes.
You've pretty much summed up what you should do now, considering the tax law in your country, because it won't make financial sense to sale at a lose. As it is, it's best to hold on to your Shiba Inu, till it's value reaches what can be meaningful to sale and convert to fiat or reinvest in a reputable crypto like Bitcoin. Although I consider Shiba Inu, as a top altcoin that is worth holding, because it's not a scam project, people are however speculating that it's market cap, could make it not to be very bullish in this season. Your not left with much choice but to keep holding it, good luck.

What you are saying is what I realized after a day. The government will make my life hell even though it is a small amount of money. It is better for me keep it dormant unless those tokens are giving me a good multiplier, to which I am expecting somewhere around 10x or more. Already those tokens are again pumping due to sudden surge in Bitcoin price. I think it is evident for me to keep posting returns from those tokens for everyone here to contemplate whether meme coins can make them rich in some time or not.

~snip~

Great! You took it to the uncle's and auntie's level 😆. This is nothing but Jay Shah trying to get some political gain and satisfying the orthodox vote bank. I am confident  that we will now see shit debates on those shit Hindi media houses who have already created a mockery of themselves with thier shit reporting.

This is not about hiring the best designers, this is all about saffron colour. I don't dare nor I care where this political gimmick is going to get with discrimination, what I cared was my team wearing a Jersey that signifies being blue and bleed blue.
There is virtually no need to go that route, don't forget our flag has saffron in it and there was no Jay Shah or BJP at that moment.

Even the 2007 T-20 and 2011 WC winning teams had Saffron on their jerseys and again there was no BJP at that time.

I am not going into that route but I am concerned with these guys forcing to include the saffron colour for everything. Even if they did it, which I am assuming they should have made it look superb, they should have made it look good.

You have already talked about the stripes and indeed those white colour Adidas stripe on the the saffron looks ugly. I am assuming they would have made those stripes shining something that the MI team has in the form of gold colour stripes. Don't  you think that MI are not doctoring the BCCI or influencing the BCCI selection.

I think it is a good time to ask BCCI to move their headquarters into a neutral location. Mumbai has been a place where an individual  player like Dada, who after screwing Dalmiya's daughter still got the position of a secretary of BCCI whereas he wasn't anything but a good captain for me.

Leaked picture of Indian jersey for the T20 World Cup

If this is the actual Jersey then it is one of the worst Jersey that I have seen. What were the designers smoking while thinking about the colour combination. What do you guys think about this Jersey?
Billions of dollars in the piggy bank but these fucks can't hire decent designers for literally anything.

With this color combination, those white stripe on the shoulder looks absolutely hideous. It reminds me of a group of uncles/aunties who play badminton and practice yoga in the morning.
