In previous halving price moved $10 to $1000 then dropped to $200 & steady for a long time So, growth = $10 X 20 = $200 Simple calculation After this halving price will go $200 X 20 = $4000 ? back then only few people knew about bitcoin. the price surge to $1000 invited a lot of new users and because of that the price stayed above $200. it might be different this time around.

Let's start this thread and have some fun figuring out who here was a member on their site what's the point? you're just going to invite spam, you know that?

Nice! That works;) It seems when there is only one page in the thread it shows the date of the last post in the results which make it appear to be out of order but if you open the thread, the order is correct based on the date of the first post. How did you figure this out? I had it bookmarked since forever. I think theymos posted it somewhere once upon a time. edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=917683.0

above $600 and below $1200 (if I'm forced to narrow it down I'll go with $700-$800. the halved block reward should begin to take effect by then if it hasn't happened sooner.

when i click on manage address i new nothing no address there
so i cant get the private key myself ?
blockchain guy is asking for password of account i think i am out of options now
you can't get the private keys of non-imported addresses using that method. normally you can get the private key of non-imported addresses using the method I posted on the very first reply. if you think you can't get the bitcoin back without their help (I think so), then you should give them your password. but change your wallet after that.

private. it's client-side only.

yes i am using new blockchain.info wallet
i go to setting than addresss than My bitcoin wallet Next to it it says SHOW xpub i click on it it says Extended public key and warning i continue it and it display the xpub id
i put the id on blockchain its says O transaction 0 receives 0 send
this blockchain account i created a week ago and that was the first transaction i suppose to receive
But when i put my wallet address it shows my wallet with balance
IS it strange?
it is strange. like I said the xpub should show all transactions of its addresses. this means blockchain.info gave you an address that is not associated with the xpub of that account. I'm afraid all you can do now is contact their support and explain what happened. step to export your privkey from new blockchain interface click on settings tab and choose addresses, click on "manage address",choose more option on the address you want to export, click private key,and import
that would only work with imported addresses. newly generated address doesn't have that option.

Hi --Encrypted--
this was helpful
what i did is
found my account id than
i copied the xpub code First checked in blockchain its saying 0 transactions
than i paste the xpub to BIP32 extended key
than i changed Derivation path to custom
and custom path to m/0/ tried 1 to 300 numbers
When i change the value of # the child index doesn't change its value is same and the last which is ADDRESS it keep changing when i enter try new #
i have tried 1 to 300 numbers but cant see my wallet yet
upto how many number i need to try
and is it normal that child index value is not changing
really appreciate your help sir
are you sure you got the correct xpub? the xpub should show all transactions of the addresses which it generated. the guy from the other thread also have this problem, I don't know what caused it (all my xpub shows correct transactions.). check all your accounts' xpub just in case. if none of them shows that transaction then you'll have to contact blockchain.info support. and yes, the child index not changing is normal.

contact blockchain.info support. don't forget to provide your address. or try importing the address to another wallet. you can find the private key using this method. looks like someone got the same problem here. i am using new blockchain.info wallet and does anyone knows how can i get private key the process seems very difficult you just need to enter Blockchain.MyWallet.wallet._getPrivateKey(account#,"M/0/index#"); in javascript console (CTRL+Shift+K for firefox). replace account# with your account ID. for example, the account ID for the default account named "My Bitcoin Wallet" should be 0. as for the index#, the easiest way is to copy the Xpub (check it on blockchain explorer just to make sure that you have the correct Xpub), go to http://bip32.org/ and paste your Xpub below "BIP32 Extended Key". set the "Derivation Path" to custom and type "m/0/#" without quotes (note the lowercase m.). replace "#" with any number starting from 0 until you find your address. it might look hard but it doesn't take that much time.

Thanks guys! When did you have a problem, Shotev? Since the new interface upgrade? So, trying to import my stuff to Electrum but I need the private keys. I can't find the export option anywhere on the site since that recent redesign. Might start a pool soon on how long till blockchain.info announces a 'hack' Possibly bit early, but their support is going a bit Intersango, if you know what I mean. All I've had out of them this past week is one copy and paste and a bit of mansplaining. FWIW the error message has changed to "can't get a transaction lock". https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-2l6xOqcbjs9QWEqSh72RD1d8EEdvG_hQuEXw_f_o6w/editfollow the instructions written there to get the private key. that google doc was provided by blockchain.info, btw.

first thing sathosi got to do is explain how it is a scam.

what he said: I’m going to go out on a limb and say 35,000 USD/BTC. This is based on the assumption that all exchanges and measurements will move to mBTC as the defacto denomination rather then BTC at the moment. source. now why would changing the denomination to mBTC results in 7000%~ rise? edit: wtf? the source is from 2 years ago and newsbtc only posted it yesterday.

your transaction does have dust and quite low fee but I wouldn't rely on bc.i estimation as they're often incorrect. it looks like you first broadcasted the tx around 2 hours ago which is quite normal for 0.0001 per KB fee so give it some time.
you might want to increase your default fee to at least 0.0003 per KB for future transactions.
