121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What need to follow to play the stress free gambling game on: May 19, 2024, 05:35:35 PM
The most important thing about gambling what gamblers should know is that, they need to take gambling as just fun, and only stake an amount you can afford to lose, this I the level at which the gamblers become more comfortable with what ever the outcome of the games could be, also remember that when it comes to gambling most especially on in house games where the gambler I playing against the house where the house has the highest advantage,  so winning in such games may become difficult since the house edge will play out at all time.

Secondly we need not to be greedy with gambling because the mentality of gamblers taking gambling to mean ways of making money quick or becoming rich at once from gambling is false and misleading for their well being,  to avoid that stress, you have to gamble for just fun, so that you control the amount you stake on those games.

123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Casinos Manage Withdrawal Limits and transaction Fees on: May 18, 2024, 10:51:12 PM
In a lay man understanding I think fees are deducted from the amount in withdrawal,  let say staie have a $1 fees on their withdrawals, so if you have won the minimum witdrawable amount and you hit the withdrawal botton,  your fees get deducted from the entire amount and you get credit with whatever remains from that winning as your credits.

I may be wrong any ways and just as others have e suggested,  you have to contact an operator to get the accurate and clearer picture of how this works.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin specifically for holders.. on: May 17, 2024, 10:25:12 PM
Since one of the most memecoins,  Dogecoin started as a joke, so I won't be surprised at this one also starting up with such a funny caption as project name, although this sound too cheap to hear but then since memecoins doesn't ride their dice with any blue print or ecosystem and just based on hypes, I won't be outerly surprised at thos one also coming out in such manner.

I can't take memecoins for long term investment and if I should have anything to do with them,i it should be in the basis of just speculation and gambling just to cash in on the hype so no long term dream for me with memecoins.

All the same I wish you Goodwick on your choice of coin to take for long term and having to choose a coin with such a funny name 😄.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sidechain Observer - Projects & current state of development on: May 17, 2024, 05:45:52 PM
I am interested in bitcoin sidechain projects for different reasons, but mostly because of privacy and reduction of transaction fees.
Jameson Lopp website is a nice resource for finding more information about sidechain and everything else related with Bitcoin:
https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information/other-layers.html#sidechains

Exactly achieving bitcoin privacy and low fees couple with faster transactions will indeed aids high bitcoin scalability and adoption among daily bitcoin holder's since achieving that won't be putting holes in bitcoin users pocket and at the same time supporting high privacy which is the original intention of having a decentralised asset and currency like bitcoin.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does destiny has influence in the amount we can win in gamble? on: May 16, 2024, 10:33:40 PM
Destiny is what you make of it, and the consistent pursuit of any goal that drive you closer to a stable successful life and being able to leave within such class and level become what we call Destiny,  so for that, i don't believe with the school of thought that view human existence as being predetermined, individual build they Destiny with the concouse contribution to attaining such state of life.

Gambling is based on risk and for that one can nit have any Destiny in gambling, but no doubt that fact that gamblers can hut a jackpot but that doesn't mean that it's their destiny to win, but just luck which can be repeated.
127  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the Worst online Casino you've played on so far? on: May 15, 2024, 07:37:14 PM
There is what I always measured a casino or bookies based on my personal interest,  luck and desires,  which is my ability to win and withdraw my winnings.

My worst experience was on access bets, its a local casino here in my country and their offers sport bets, when I won about #40,000 and wanted to withdraw I couldn't due to some issues that could have been resolved by support.
128  Economy / Services / Re: I am looking for partners(to make good money) on: May 15, 2024, 05:09:26 PM
Lately alot of newbies have being making some attempts to get forum  members attention with offers that are silly and way blow basic principles of dealing fairly,  most of them are all targeted to scam some gullible forum members.

No one here with knowledge about the risk of treating such offers will give this a try so ops need to move on.

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been profiting from memecoins? on: May 14, 2024, 09:45:13 PM
Despite of becoming a victim of a failed and scam memecoins, I still invest with them especially if there's a good hype and i can say that I make some profit out of it though it's risky but you just have to timing it so you will not be trap with their hype. There's still a big chance to make profit in memecoins, and I believe their season is about to begin again as we rally to the most bullish trend of the market, expect more hype for meme tokens, the early you buy the better.
I hold few bag load of memecoins recently, a friend of mine convinced me to buy some of the best performing memecoins, I was never a fan of memecoins before but also I don't hate them that much that I won't give a shot based on recommendations.

But for me to recomend any of such memecoins to investors, is the last thing and a thing I can never do because I don't trust memecoins market at all, but a few of them are worth taking a look at.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accessing gambling sites only on desktop as a means to prevent addiction on: May 14, 2024, 01:16:24 PM
I don't think this will help in any ways as gambling addiction have a way of controlling it victims, into carrying out the act within any conditions and space, although for someone who already know the dangers of gambling addiction before they start their gambling journey this could be possible if they gamble on computer only and not on Mobile devices at least to minimise the excesses of they gambling habits.

But on the rear occasions this works and it works only for those who doesn't have Internet enabling mobile devices and the only way to access the Internet for them I via computers that way the chances of gambling while away from the PC I zero.

133  Economy / Economics / Re: Choosing Between the IMF, World Bank, or Direct Borrowing on: May 11, 2024, 09:54:18 PM
Question
How does a country determined  which of these organizations to approach for funds. If these institutions are always availed to receive. Some countries are not going through these structures rather they borrow directly from the bank of another country. Which is better?
This depends on the availability of credits loans and the amount available for loan in the reserve of the international financial institution..
Second another thing lending countries consider is the amount in interest on the loans and the duration of ti.e for repayment.

But above all every country should avoid passing debts burdens to the next generations, so borrowing either with interest or not is a bad approach to solving countries economic crisis.
134  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Naira have been recorded to be worst performing currency in the world on: May 11, 2024, 06:21:45 AM
high time Nigeria government through the CBN re channel their energy on other factor's of the economy like boosting local production and consumption of locally made Nigeria good, because it obvious that fighting to recover the value of the naira against dollar is a fruitless fight if the right thing that will sustain the naira value is not put in place.

For God sake, no one cares if naira gain value to 100# to $1 if the price of goods in the local market is still extremely high and increasing daily, so what the fight for and why struggling to be the best currency when the internal economy is in high inflation?

When I saw all the shenanigans the CBN governor was putting up against currency speculators and traders it becomes obviously clear to me that the government was already fight a lost battle since price of goods and price of fuel was still going up and remains high.

There are major determinant factor's that boost economy,  and currency value is not the number nether is it even number 3 among the list.

135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your top mistakes in crypto - learning from others experiences! on: May 10, 2024, 09:45:27 AM
1: All of us have learnt one lesson or the other while engaging with cryptocurrency,  but the highest mistake I made was to sell off my jackpot winning from stake, I one time won about 0.03 in sport bet on stake.com but back then the price of Bitcoin was extremely low instead waiting for the market to recover I went on to sell it off and in few days after that the price of Bitcoin skyrocket ushering in the bull run.

2: Secondly is when I failed to check the receiving address there by sending a good amount pf my bitcoin to a wrong wallet address.

3: investing in coins that were solely based on hypes,  this time I lost almost all the investment and that thought me a great lessons that I will not repeat same mistakes again.

4: buying Bitcoin with the hopes that the price will skyrocket in the next minute, not knowing that bitcoin investment is a long term investment

5: storing my bitcoin on exchange that fold up, this thought me the importance of self custody.
136  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Centralized Exchanges already violate customers privacy right by asking for KYC on: May 09, 2024, 05:04:20 PM
!

Why exchange go collect kyc from customers in Nigeria when their are not licensed by government?

Waiten them dey use the kyc documents for and who authorised centralized exchange to do kyc for their customers when the don't have licensed which AML are their trying to protect?

You were there when the Nigerian government as asking government for Nigeria accounts that has traded in p2p in 2022-2023 and Binance refuse, they later asked for top 100 by volume that has used p2p but Binance insisted and they reufesd. If Binance didn't request for KYC, the Nigerian government would have probably charge them more for processing transactions for terrorism, fraud and other form of cyber crime.

What centralized exchanges are doing is that they are trying to follow up the international law regarding anti money laundering, it's not only one government that watches over exchange activities, even international organizations like UN are watching and they can decide the faith of exchanges if found guilty because that's a combination of many countries. They need your kyc to avoid extra charges that may come later in the future.
You have very well said it all concerning binance International protocol and users privacy right, although the fact that the kyc is already with the exchange makes it clear that the operates within the international standard for financial services operations although even though the data's can be handed over to the government on special cases the Nigerian government asking for Nigerian p2p trader's information is way out of the right of the exchange and the privacy rights of binance Nigerian users.

None the less also I understand that centralized exchange does not acquire license of any country or own a physical office in any country but request for kyc verification from users which is what trigger my thought to bring up this topic here.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Individual efforts and the progress of BTC on: May 08, 2024, 07:34:58 PM
El Salvador is one country that have taken the leads  in bitcoin adoption and legalisation and with their high interest in bitcoin investment the country have been able to put in a large amount of the national reserve into bitcoin and this move have set the past for the country in terms of the ability to profit from bitcoin on the long term bases.

Many countries have hard one form of regulations and the other but still we need to identify that many countries still plays the anti bitcoin role instead adoption, so for sure bitcoin will be pushed more based on individuals rather than government.
138  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Centralized Exchanges already violate customers privacy right by asking for KYC on: May 07, 2024, 11:09:59 PM
My people I say make I bring this one to our notice sake of say, many things dey happen for the naija cryptocurrency space lately were demand our alertness and questioning on how thing the go before now.

No doubt gov recent activities to take down centralized exchange that engaged in naira trading when theor are not licensed to deal such deal or even have any government certificate to under take such services.

If you look well well, to some extent the government fit get a point oooo, sake of say why the exchanges go dey ask customers to submit their documents and go through kyc when their know that their are not authorised by government to do so since their don't have licensed to operate it make them become Lord over their own system when then their self no follow thr right principles to operate such a service within the jurisdictions.

So make we chuck mount for the big yan we're be say!

Why exchange go collect kyc from customers in Nigeria when their are not licensed by government?

Waiten them dey use the kyc documents for and who authorised centralized exchange to do kyc for their customers when the don't have licensed which AML are their trying to protect?

140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FED action against bitcoin & crypto on: May 07, 2024, 07:29:27 AM
Sec in various countries need to do more in terms of regulations if their ever want to create an enabling and secured cryptocurrency environment that allow wide spread adoption of this 21st century technology, because by doing that, it will reduce the chances of individual firm CEOs from committing all manar of criminal acts such as money laundering which is prominent within the cryptocurrency space today most especially centralized firms.

Currently the government in my view is taking a wrong approach at least in the case of my country sec vs cryptocurrency regulations, government need to be pro active because that is the only way they can stop those crimes before their happen in the cryptocurrency Industry,  and with good regulatory the government will draft a formidable framework that allow free flow of taxation from. Cryptocurrency ventures like exchange and other services within the cryptocurrency space.
