461  Economy / Reputation / Re: What Sort of Signature is "FUCK Royse777"? on: February 22, 2024, 11:36:07 PM
I'm positive that I've seen a signature space wearing exactly that on this forum. Never knew someone paid for it. Anyway, I told them no deal. I'm sure you'd see another wearing it if you observe well. It's actually a newbie account so you can't know the person behind it.
Really I haven't come across any member wearing that signature and even if anyone does that,  it won't take long before the account gets tagged by DT members,  this is because we don't welcome such blackmail here in the forum.

And again can you please share a link to the member wearing such a signature, I am curious to know how that signature looks,  and also the member wearing it,  it could be someone trying to get back at Royse by all means and he chose this cheap blackmail.
462  Economy / Reputation / Re: What Sort of Signature is "FUCK Royse777"? on: February 22, 2024, 11:13:48 PM
A member asked for the cost of renting my signature space and I told them. Was kinda shocked that the signature is "FUCK Royse777" What sort of signature is that. Would Royse777 or any member be informed about this mind explaining? Have you seen anyone wearing that signature? I think I have but didn't observe closely. What is the purpose of this signature ad? Is it a sort of promotion for Royse777? Why the aspersion?
That could be an enemy or a competitor trying to use you to promote hate speech, blackmail and cyberbullying against the person of Royse777 who is a notable signature campaign manager here in the forum,  and this can be the lowest point anyone can go trying to destroy the person of Royse.

Just stay away from such offers and better still expose the user here and ignore them ASAP,  they don't mean well for you and other members of this forum.

Lastly,  I still find it hard to believe this accusation to be true,  and I can't  figure out the possibilities, maybe,  you have to share more details about this.
463  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: February 22, 2024, 11:04:32 PM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs? How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?

Many of the casinos we see these days don't even care about age limit so we need not to agitate on that.
Since cryptocurrency market does not determines the age of who is transacting or not, we may newbies especially the underage take the opportunity of this and keep funding their casino accounts to keep betting without restrictions. Few casinos do not ask for KYC and people do take advantage of this to bet.
lol they care about the age limit(pretending to be actually) because each site says they
are letting to register this or that age (but can be faked once deposit is coming)
there is so much to expect in the gambling community but there is also so much that
they are hiding from us.
The possibility of underage and Wrong age usage will always be there in gambling,  and for sure,  not all will be captioned in the KYC since not all accounts are asked for KYC but then casinos can not hide under this to the point of allowing underage gambling at all time,  this is what we have to look at and before a casino will request for players kyc,  it has taken an entirely different dimension and to a point,  it has become a big issue where many underages have flooded the scene and sometimes it's out of the knowledge of the casino operators.

But also sometimes the casino owners may also choose to look away for the sake of revenue and as long as the player did not violate the casino rules and regulations, KYC may not be demanded,  the only way to combat underage gambling is by way of mandating all players to do kyc at the very point of account registrations.
464  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: February 22, 2024, 10:48:24 PM
I am skeptical if small gamblers are counted as early adopters, as when they are referring to it, they are talking about angel investors and strategic private investors
But noah said in twitter that people who gambled early, weight more the formula they are using to calclulate the airdrops. So, in short early gamblers are getting more for their money.

Although i wouldn't have my hopes up with a huge raise for people who didn't gamble a lot of money back then.
I think they will stick to their commitment and if they said about early adopters then all those members who played on their platform should be considered not only the angel investors or private investors. I'm sure each player who adopted them deserves to get some share of the airdrop.

I know that the ones who played with more cash might get more value from the airdrop but the ones who even played with minimum should also get some share from it. You should not lose hope because if they are truly generous then they will also give share of that airdrop to those users who gambled with less money.
Who are the angel adopt and what is their level of holding in the casino,  to be referred to as early adopters and being treated specially to the point of creating a special bonus for them,  we may be getting the team wrong if we assume that anyone that starts gambling at the early stage of the casino should be treated as early adopters,  even though yes they are part of the casino from the very beginning of the platform,  they may still be other core investors who may have sacsacrificedr the casino in terms of finances and hold a share and a bag to honour them and this is one of those time to do so.

So for sure, we may have to wait for the team to make a statement about the situation and who the angel investors are and what role they play in the casino to be treated in the most special way.
465  Economy / Economics / Re: The increase of dollar affecting underdeveloped countries economy on: February 22, 2024, 07:21:26 PM
Edited out
Nothing is wrong with the dollar increase and besides we have other currencies that are higher than the dollar both fiat and digital currencies e.g,  1 BTC = $51k+ so should we now say that the increase in the value of bitcoin is causing under development in the united states?

The answer is NO
Why because the US economy is stabilizingd and has the internal capacity to control its economic demands and also working to manage the global economic meltdown,  same as developing and underdeveloped countries around the globe.

Global inflation is high and this is telling highly negatively on the economy of most countries around the world ss its impact is more felt in highly corrupt developing and underdeveloped countries whose currencies are weak and whose internal GDP is in the negative.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 22, 2024, 06:59:45 PM
Every day, thousands of dollars enter or leave the treasury of casinos, and we always hear about a gambler who wins or loses a large sum of money.

The thing that caught my attention is that the casino never loses. The money that you win is not the property of the casino, but of another player. The casino is in the process of recycling the money that the players have invested. There is always a winner and a loser, and when you bet with an amount of money, you bet against the money of all the other players. If you win, they will pay you from their money, and if someone else wins, they will pay himBTCBTC from your money.

So the casino remains the biggest beneficiary, right?
You are absolutely right, this is why building and running a casino is a very profitable business, more reason why we see a lot of new casinos springing up almost every day.
This days, building a casino have become really easy, but the hardest job now is finding players.

In the game of gambling, casinos are always the winners, I mean, no body with the power to build and program his business will do so In a way that he or she loses to his or her customers, he or she much program the business in such a way that his or her customers will continually lose to him or her, with some minor wins here and there from time to time, so that the customer doesn't at any point in time start suspecting that the business is rigged against him or her.

This is exactly the same casinos are built, but in a much more advanced way where by, players are betting against themselves, when they all lose, the casino packs all the money,🤑,  but when some players win, the casino pays the winner from the money others lost, and also keep the rest to themselve.
This makes casinos the most and always profitable ones, as far as gambling is concerned.
Running a casino is much more technical and capital intensive than you think,  casino are paying revenue and cost of running the business coupled with advertisements and promotions all this takes money from the casino and most times,  it's not all a win-win for the casinos there are times that the players win huge sum and at that the casino will have to pay out,  reason why we have some complains of casino not paying out full amount of winning to gamblers who hit a certain high jackpot that it payment can cripple the operation of the casino.

So we need to check all that before we proclaims that casinos are easy and profitable to run,  but then due to the high technicality of the casino, there are sometimes gains that make it easy for them to keep running their businesses.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 22, 2024, 06:49:12 PM
~snip~

I think any gambler has lost money that they regretted losing. Personally, I have not met any gambler who would not lose. If I'm not mistaken my biggest loss in the casino was about $2500. Losing such money is very frustrating, which is why I began to use the tactic of limiting the deposit. Now I do not allow myself to deposit more than $200, so if I lose, I do not lose more than this amount.
Yeah, we all have hard those sad experiences,  losing in gambling is an inevitable thing and for that, we need to get used to it despite the frustrations and bad feelings that come along with losing regardless of how much,  some times when luck is not on our side,  no matter how we try we will still end in loses,  same as when luck is with you,  you win every game as if you control them.

So let's take each feeling as it comes,  on the winning days we stay happy and bad days, and we endure till the next,  this is how it goes in gambling and even in real life.

But losing money always comes with its own peculiar pains sorrow and regret especially when you fail to take actions that could have saved your money at least.
468  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: February 22, 2024, 06:34:34 PM

This issue of gambling scams/cheating could happen to anybody and the most legit casinos could be greedy at a point too, it all depends on the teams involved and the amount won by the bettor at that time. You see, a casino could have been paying the person for years, but at a time, they might turn their back, and I do not even know what to call that. Should we say they are not legit again or what? Because they will continue to pay others and still let them believe they are good, which is why I like to balance my opinion based on investigation and the proof provided on both sides when disputes arise between casinos and their customers and not take a side ignorantly as some would do.
In my understanding and believe that,  those casino that hard long term of reputation but suddenly turn bad is as a result of either attack or other for issues,  sometime only one among the team member will betray the company and then pulled an exit on everyone involved.

But many times,  most of the reputable casinos have had a long-term of good reputation without many issues and unless some few ones that hard technical challenges but are back online now,  this is what differentiates legitimacy casinos and scam casinos,  the level of consistency and good reputation iswhatdifferentiatese them from each other.
Quote
Well, I still blame this on poor regulations. Had it been there are strict regulations, the authorities could have weighed in and made the casinos accountable for their liabilities, and even fined them if need be, especially if further care was not taken after persistent issues and warnings. This alone will make them sit right and do the needful. Every casino should be accountable for winnings and pocket the losses proudly, that's how it should be, and liquidity or not, they are obliged to settle the winners' winnings, they do not just have any excuse to do otherwise. They should have rejected such a bet if they knew they were not liquid enough to take care of the potential winning. However, if they accept the risk, they should be liable. Their inability to pay makes them irresponsible and a scam.
Yeah, government need to put mechanisms in place to regulate everything that goes on in the ecosystem,  this is very important to the development and safety of all,  but aside from the government,  we as individuals still have the responsibility to guide ourselves and make sure to identify and expose fake casinos,  no matter what their tactics are and how long their choose to play the game.

But also we have to promote those that are meeting up to the standards of things and taking the time to build a good reputation for themselves,  and as much as possible operating in the most consistently accurate ways and manners whereby ttthesatisfactionn comes first before anything.
469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey! it's $50k today. on: February 21, 2024, 11:23:03 PM
Bitcoin ETF came with a lot of hype and positivity for bitcoin and many bitcoin investors think and prediction of a new all-time high market before the next block size reductions,  although we may not be certain about that,  but also we may lack the analytical tools or data to speculate accurately what will happen in the next couple of weeks to months to come,  but before then we have to enjoy the positive impact of the ETF approval that has ushered in a new price dispensation.

So for sure, it may have been delayed before the positive effects of the ETF approval but then we have it now and the possibility for Bitcoin to go above the 50k region is very high even before Bitcoin halves comes.

So let's wait to see what action Bitcoin will be taking in the coming days,  but we have some positivity already to help us make near-accurate speculations of the market instead
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new ATH before halving. Is it possible? on: February 21, 2024, 11:12:32 PM
We are a few thousand dollars away from the last all-time high and at that bitcoin doing a 52k price is definitely changing the narrative and way expect to see an all-time high price before Bitcoin halving, and if that happens that we have a new all-time high price before the next halving,  it does make it the first time in Bitcoin history where we see all-time high before Bitcoin halves and at that, we may say that this is a repeat of what had once been recorded.

And since the last few months,  many speculations have changed position and a lot have been calling for pre Bitcoinhalvesn bull market and the current market condition is pointing in that direction and with time,  we will likely know which position the market is going.

If Bitcoin could reach 58-60k before the next two weeks,  it will become obvious that we are set for the new price high and so we will have a different view and records for the future,  but not the first time that is happening.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: February 21, 2024, 09:45:57 PM
My question is do you think gambling every day is better? From his reasoning and points of narrations.
For me personally, gambling every day would make me addicted, and I'm not sure that my mind can stay clear enough to make wise decisions anymore. If you consider gambling as a game, playing games every day is enough to make you tired, not to mention if you lose continuously, the feeling is even worse. In gambling, sometimes we can win a large amount of money at a certain lucky period, but it is not certain that we will continue to be lucky after that, so if you keep gambling every day, I think it will increase your chances of losing money. Choosing a good time to gamble I think will be more reasonable than trying your luck by gambling every day.
Aside from the tendency to get addicted while gambling every day,  it is important to note that gambling result is not guaranteed and for that, if you do it consistently,  you increase your chances of losing money more,  but none the less,  I have personally experienced this that the more you gamble the more you lose and the less you gamble the less you lose so for that, restricted gambling is the best form of precautions towards safe gambling and some time,  what affects us mostly is the fact that we can't draw a line between when to stop and when keep playing.

I had an ugly gambling experience last night,  and today again,  I was engaged in betting as a way to recover from my yesterday 'losses but to my greatest surprise,  I lost all the amount I deposited and at that point, I realized that it is a risk to gamble every day and to avoid heavy loses I need to take a long time break from gambling in other not to get addicted chasing the loses.
472  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Forex Crisis: FG plans to clampdown on Binance, and other crypto exchanges on: February 21, 2024, 08:12:18 PM
You guys can take a look at the Binance regulatory statement about this situation, the thing is that,  the news caption got it all wrong but what do you expect from a newspaper or bloggers, They just want to sell the news at all costs,  but then with Binance statement,  set a lot of records straight.

Link
https://nairametrics.com/2024/02/21/naira-value-binance-explains-actions-on-trading-by-nigerians/

But in general,  the current economic situation in Nigeria needs all the action that the government can take but in the right direction there is a lot of tax linkage in Nigeria and this is the main issue that is affecting our internal economy.

Cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance and the rest have only served as a gateway to bitcoin adoption in Nigeria and by the way we should also look at the taxation of cryptocurrency firms because they are making money from the Nigerian traders and not giving back to the country.
473  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: No Deposit Bonus 20 USD in BTC - Blackjack.fun on: February 21, 2024, 06:13:02 PM
Nice to see Blackjack back with some bonuses for bitcointalk members,  but the sad is that,  the requirement for the bonuses is almost impossible to reach and still come out with any winning because we have to look at some of the things that we should look for with this offers.

But the second thing is that this bonus may be for free play time and not the winning so it's still a welcome-back bonus from the casino, The 200x wager requirement is indeed huge to reach and by doing so the gambler will already have a long period of game time,  this is why we have to take the offer.

Thirdly I won't to know an old accounts on the blackjack platform take part in these bonuses,  so for sure we have to look at some things that we have to consider before subscribing to this bonus as old account holders on blackjack.
474  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino vs. Stoc,Forex&Crypto Broker: Who's Really Playing You in the Money Game on: February 21, 2024, 05:19:04 PM
Your points are good, but we can still further argue the subject out based on the context of your narration. In both trading and gambling, we need luck, only that the level of luck we need varies, and that's if we want to view the expression called luck as existing at all. I must say that many times in my trading experience, there are instances that I could truly express that luck was at work for me, so it exists too there. Take, for example, a trader who analysed the market quite well and opened a buy position with 250 pips take profit and 100 pips stop loss. But suddenly, the market started moving against him abnormally without a valid reason, and for this, it (the market) changed the short-term trend to bearish, which is against the position of the traders. After some times of scary movements against the position, the market now almost hit the stop loss having moved 99 pips of it and remaining just 1 pips to hit it and close the position at a loss.

But suddenly the market could not proceed further with just 1 pips to hit the stop loss but just threatened for hours but still couldn't hit the level. Due to this, the trader could have just taken heart and abandoned the trade and closed his gadget believing he had already lost with no more hope. On getting back to the chart after hours of closing the gadget, he now met the trade in huge profits. I see that as luck and something similar had happened to me many times in trading. Also, the sports betting aspect of gambling could be likened to trading. The two are not so strongly the function of luck but expertise. This is especially true if we limit it to the buy/sell in trading and lose/win in gambling. It's the casino aspect of gambling that is so reliant on luck, even though the expertise in trading will still yield better results than the expertise in gambling.
When we want to discuss the context of luck in trading vs gambling,  we must bring so many things into bearing and as we go along with the analysis we should have at the back of our mind that luck is a subjective thing,  just as skills is subjective,  luck don't just happen,  you must position yourself for the luck so for that when it comes to trading,  luck plays a minimal role and, skills is what have the primary role in trading.

Gambling is based on luck,  because there are some games that you pourly depends on luck to win them, most of the times games like spin and dice and even football bets this have been the norm with gambling this is why we have more trust in trading than in gambling and just like I have said before, in gambling you can lose all your money 100% but that is not so in trading because as a leader you already have your stop lose limits and once the market get to that level your trade will just automatic execute and then take a lose at a point.

But we have not seen such happening in gambling unless if you take a cash out and that doesn't come when your games are a loss,  there only give a percentage at which you already won,  so in all you have to depend on luck at all time because even with your luck you still stand the chances of losing the bets/games most especially on in the house games.
475  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: COULD THIS BE CALLED ADAPTATION? on: February 21, 2024, 04:47:54 PM
Is very funny how we complain about so many things going wrong in our economy but at the end everyone we tends to grow a thicker skin and adapt to the system and it will be seen like nothing happened within a Short time, now my question is, should we keep adapting and growing a thicker skin? or we should be expecting war because I don't really understand where our government is taking us to, A lot is really happening. What is your opinion on this?

It is nothing other than suffering and smiling, it is a race of the survival of the fittest, I also wonder about the same situation whereby you discover many people are complaining about how bad the economy is and yet, if you go to the market, you will be surprised on the rate people are buying and selling and the markets are moving, then I wonder how they were able to get the affordability despise the ongoing inflation, so this has brought me to my conclusion that whether things cost or not in the market, we should only focus on a purchasing ability because while we are complaining, many others are not being worried and they are buying and selling, we should get adapt to this.
You are very correct despite the high cost of things,  people are still buying and selling and most times buying things they don't even need and yet we complain about the high cost of things,  this should be looked at from the inward perspective and how they tend to affect us,  most times the Nigerians people are more of the problem because even some goods that are locally produced are being sold at a high rate,  this is why it has become almost impossible for government efforts to produce any results.

Other things that we need to look at are the government policy on price regulations,  how much government involvement do we have in market pricing and what are the cost of import exportation rate, A lot of corruption has led us to this point and at the moment the government are busy chasing shadows.
476  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria's Economic Problems on: February 20, 2024, 11:41:16 PM
Despite the fact that,  this thread is economic related,  I feels it will be fair and better if you have this topic on the Nigerian local board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=275.0  and if you take a read through that board you will find several related threads as to what the economic situations is in Nigeria right now.

But also note that there is a global meltdown and the aftermath effect of COVID-19 is really telling negatively on the economic condition of many countries around the world so Nigeria's own situation may not be totally different from other countries around the globe who are suffering economic crisis and rising inflation.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: February 20, 2024, 11:22:24 PM
From my little activeness over here in the forum and my involvement in gambling I have been seeing some changes in me and it's gradually beginning not to please me anymore I don't know If I will say I am becoming too emotional with my funds but sometimes it's very painful to place a bet for about 2 to 5 consecutive times no winning and this is what is beginning to me make feels sad. I know is a game of luck but sometimes whatever we do and not feels happy we should try to quit it.
You are not alone in this,  just few minutes ago I almost lost all my balance due to this experience of betting multiple time without any recorded winning but thank goodness that my last bet won so I was able to recover my money even without any profits, but I am ok at least, I didn't end the session in total lose.  this is a normal occurrence with betting and it's painful sometime,  but then you must not allow your emotions to get in the way you have to make up your mind to accept both the good days and the bad day,  today may be a bad day,  but tomorrow may be good day,  so never give,  but always gamble within your bearable limits so that the loses won't be unbearable some time.

Quote
I just have to bring this to know the category of people who belong to this sets that always feels bad or are emotionally touched due to their games has been constantly bursting without winning. I don't know how to channel it but at least the gambler should be happy most times i will notice that only 1 game does take me away from winning and most times there will be an option to cash out I will have full confidence that all will be successfully played without knowing games change even at dying minutes.
I you want to gamble and be happy with the result regardless of either winning or losing,  you must gamble with a small amount of money and only do so just for for the fun and nothing else in mind,  because I have come to realize that, what makes many gamblers unhappy with the outcome of the bets is the fact that,  they already made so many plans and emphasis on the total cumulative potential winnings.

So when their expectations fail to come,  they become emotional and disappointed which is a result of the high allowance of greed tendency in gambling,  so to be safe,  never expect too much from gambling at a time
478  Economy / Reputation / Re: Plagiarist DiMarxist is back. No signature ban? on: February 20, 2024, 05:32:47 PM
For someone who has been banned for a while due to plagiarism and now given a second chance to be back on the forum, he may not have an automatic jump start to a quality poster at once,  there is a chance that in the next few pages, we may likely see some low-quality posts in his history before he finally picks up,  it's a normal cycle that he must pass through considering how long he have been off the forum and the nature of his previous offence that got them banned in the first place,  Cyrus with his wealth of experience knows better to have handed him out none signature ban,  second chance it is,  so we have to look away from a few things for a while before taking action against such member if he continues that way by making low-quality posts consistently after this time.

Secondly, I think earning merits from those posts indicates that at least his post makes sense to some other forum members,  that is why they gift him merits,  and in the spirit of support for a fellow forum member who is on a second chance is to correct him as much as you can,  and by the way did you reach out to the so-called member to at least advice him on the quality of his posts after his come back?

If your answer to the above is NO then I think this thread may be uncalled for,  or aimed at further worsening his already bad situationons, what he needs is support and advice but if the member fails to adjust to you may report his posts that you think are low quality, or if you have anything against him you should wait until he breaks one of the forum rules then you can create a thread to discuss that.

Next time this could be sorted out without dragging others into it,  the forum has admins and moderators,  let allow them to do the job instead of forum members turning  themselves into forum judges and in here admin's decision is final because they see what forum members can not see,
479  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: February 19, 2024, 05:57:10 PM
Like it or not, we can never come to a time when every person in the world will automatically know what to do when they want to choose an online casino to play on, many people and fond of not learning from other people's mistakes but only learn from their very own mistakes. For people like this, they will always fall victim to one scam or the other before they learn the proper way to search or look for something before engaging in that thing, so as they don't fall victim again.

It's no longer a new thing that most of the victims who are scammed by 1xbit always come to this forum as newbies, and their issue with the site is usually what brings them here, this tells us that, some people only begin or start researching a service only when they have been scammed, and this is what leads many people into falling for the 1xbit tricks..
Ask yourself this question,

How easy it is to follow another person's mistakes, and try to learn from them?

The answer is almost none,  why I pointed that out is because many times we read and hear many other people's stories and experiences and are unable to follow the lessons,  this is why it is better to experience things yourself to learn the best lesson and that way your experience will fit into your personal environment,  this is why we need to learn to take the time to seek for help and also try to experience things ourselves.

Most of the victims of 1xbits are mostly newbies and those who don't have any information about the notorious scamming and will only learn about it when they have already become victims of the scams.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: February 19, 2024, 05:47:14 PM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?

I have this problem, and based on my personal experience, I find that sometimes I get challenged but not too greedy because I don't have a problem quitting when I'm winning. However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.

That's why I shared it here; I feel that some of you may experience the same challenges, and I'd love to hear your ideas or experiences on how to win this battle so we can enjoy gambling.
A lot of gamblers have experienced the same thing. When a gambler experiences losses while gambling, they may become eager to recover their losses quickly. They may start placing larger bets than usual, hoping to win big and make up for their previous losses. This type of behavior can lead to negative consequences such as accruing a large debt, selling off assets, or even engaging in illegal activities to obtain money for gambling.
Those set of gamblers that have such mindset have hard alot of bad experience alot of loses compared to their earlier loses,  and for that it is not advisable to chance the losses in an attempt to recover what you have already lost.

This type of pattern of play has affected many gamblers and even it has forced some to slide into a worse situation aside from the losses.

The majority of those who became gambling addicts were people who lost and tried to recover from their losses and were unable to.
