121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - PLEASE UPGRADE VERSION 1.3 (Blockchain Download Fixed) on: February 02, 2014, 02:38:29 PM
Glad yo see EXC is progressing. Whilst I understand the drive to keep the fix simple will multipools end up pushing the difficulty way up when the coins becomes profitable to mine again? What did you conclude on the addition of the KGW?

The plan is to have Kimoto Gravity Well implemented in Version 1.5 once the difficulty has been stabilised and when most if not all users have updated to Version 1.4, to reduce the chances of any problems.

See OP, Version 1.4 released https://www.dropbox.com/s/o9sfjos89xf65u0/Extremecoin_V_1.4.rar (Windows Client)

Basic difficulty fix for this update.

Any connection problems will be fixed on the fly with my seednodes and extra if needed during transition period.

Due to the now extreme difficulty of 129 currency for EXC, the client code is going to have a few more basic changes, to get that difficulty dropped down to a sensible level, after which regular and stable mining increases will happen from then onwards.

Will post more updates as soon as they happen.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - PLEASE UPGRADE VERSION 1.3 (Blockchain Download Fixed) on: February 01, 2014, 05:05:10 PM
Just to get the difficulty under control as it has risen to an extreme high, I will be releasing Version 1.4 that just has the difficulty fixed with as simple as possible code.

Once everyone has got the new client and the mining difficulty has settled and is steady, then we can plan the next update with extra features in the client.

Longer and slower difficulty increase?

I would have a good read up on Megacoin and its diff. algo. the Kimoto Gravity Well. 12 other coins have adopted it since it's release and it works like a charm.

I will have a look at it, thank you.

I am also looking at a few other coins too, it's good to compare the codes.

I am working on Extremecoin Version 1.4 right now and it will be released by the end of this weekend, along with a full website redesign.

Just wanted to keep everyone informed.

Thanks.

Thank you for the support.

To keep the development as community driven as possible do we have a general idea of what the difficulty adjustment should be changed to?

Longer and slower difficulty increase?
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - PLEASE UPGRADE VERSION 1.3 (Blockchain Download Fixed) on: January 30, 2014, 09:53:31 PM
Work commitments and death threats have been slowly development down and reducing the amount of time I can spend working on future development at the moment.

I have asked Artiface if he wants to get on board and be a developer, most coins do not or should not just have one developer else it turns into a borderline dictatorship.

To be totally honest with the lack of interest generally on here for EXC, BigVern not even considering adding it, I actually thought no-one really cared about the coin.

Now I know there is support out there, it is spuring me on to get the mining difficulty adjustment fixed and a updated client pushed out.

If only this could be more than a hobby and I could actually earn a living developing unusual Altcoins.

I am going to put some time aside this weekend to get the Windows client updated at least and the source code update, so the community can compile their own.

The link here is the best most upto date information.

I am working on releasing a client update over the next couple of days to fix the difficulty retarget.

This will make mining it more sensible. and stable.

LOL
I guess the good captain finally did get a business started... seemed to be his goal from day 1.

My "buisness" used to be BBQcoin, now is Extremecoin and setting up a local IT Support company.

I have been on here for two years, do I not even get given a chance?

So far there has not been any proof or facts that I have scammed anyone out of even 1 Bitcoin.
130  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CaptChadd is very likely the owner of scryptasic.org scam on: January 06, 2014, 10:21:22 AM
We have been over this already. The badoo thing is obviously a plant to try to hurt SAI or me. Why on earth would I call myself Scott Davenro on a dating site when it's all over the internet the my real name is David with my username always being CaptChadd for over 10 years.

Why is this thread now bringing up old stuff already discussed in the thread.

If you are going to try and find dirt on me at least make it new stuff with facts to back it up.

And back to my question that never got answered.

What has actually been scammed, how and how many Bitcoins?
131  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CaptChadd is very likely the owner of scryptasic.org scam on: January 06, 2014, 03:34:12 AM
What have I scammed?

Show me proof in total Bitcoins.

Domains is not proof, I had hundreds.

Just show everyone hard proof of the total amount I can scammed.
132  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CaptChadd is very likely the owner of scryptasic.org scam on: January 06, 2014, 03:02:12 AM
They made me sign a non discloser aggrement due to the nature of the project.

Are you asking me to give you his name and address?

Then a week later he ends up in a random car accident?
133  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CaptChadd is very likely the owner of scryptasic.org scam on: January 06, 2014, 02:51:05 AM
I hosted the website and ran it. That it.

Going through the process of handing the domain over to them this week.

Believe what you want. My sole focus is Extremecoin and developing services for it.
134  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CaptChadd is very likely the owner of scryptasic.org scam on: January 06, 2014, 02:12:24 AM
You mean the English language? Yeah that would be the same as we are both from the UK.
135  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CaptChadd is very likely the owner of scryptasic.org scam on: January 06, 2014, 12:27:27 AM
CaptChadd is the sole owner of Script Asic International Scam!

He has now been confirmed scamming about Bitpay, Cryptostocks, and of course the Scrypt ASIC that never existed.

CaptChadd should very afraid right now. He will be brought to justice.

I don't think so.

I am out of that SAI mess. They are all over the place, changing their minds everyday.

I want nothing more to do with them and also I am too busy developing Extremecoin to be dropping everything everytime Scott wants yet another thing change.

My advice.

Stay away from SAI but that is only my advice.

Anyway, I have more important things to concentrate on, like services for Extremecoin and promotion of it.

If I hear nothing back from Scott about the website then I will just redirect it to that Alpha company or something as they seem more of a safer bet but again, that's only my opinion.

The sync issue will be around until the next client update. It just means the difficulty is higher and the global mining hash rate is low for it.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: remove thread on: December 16, 2013, 10:32:44 AM
With the spelling and lots of other interesting things on their website, I don't think Orbit.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - PLEASE UPGRADE VERSION 1.3 (Blockchain Download Fixed) on: December 15, 2013, 12:46:06 PM
it's ok now.@CaptChadd and you should let more people know EXC,there are only two trade platform now,and the trade volume is too small。

There has only ever been two trade platforms for EXC, I have asked loads of time but Cryptsy don't seem to want to add it. I have no idea why.

BTER does has a nice amount of buy orders on it though.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - PLEASE UPGRADE VERSION 1.3 (Blockchain Download Fixed) on: December 13, 2013, 09:29:52 PM
It has only been saying out of sync because not enough hash power was mining it so the block count was correct but the next block has taken too long to be found.

I put 2x R9 290x and 1 x 7970 to solo mine it for 15 mins and things started moving a long. I am away all tomorrow but I will leave my 7970 solo mining EXC to help tick it over.

Not only is it a rare coin but also a hard one to mine.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - PLEASE UPGRADE VERSION 1.3 on: December 13, 2013, 05:54:53 PM
EXtremecoin is so EXtreme... 2 days between blocks is something Cry

Yeah I guess i could use that as an excuse.

I am almost finished testing the client updated code.

Overnight tonight I am going to solo mine EXC with my 2 x R9 290X which are great for mining by the way, this will start the chain moving again.

If anyone else can help solo mining, it would be a great help as I am going to be setting the difficulty adjustment in the new client for a certain block but we do actually need to mine to get to that block lol.

Have you seen BTER.com? There is a lot of transactions happening with EXC right now.
