121  Economy / Reputation / Re: FAKE NEGATIVE TRUST SCORE FROM CORRUPTED USER. on: June 21, 2018, 09:32:48 PM
If you don't like this forum, you are free to start your own. Please give the link and we will go there, bitch and take over.

Such a stupid advice. If all people would do that, we would have 1000 Bitcoin forums. What the point it that!

And about complaining and taking over. I though Bitcointalk was supposed to be decentralized like the Bitcoin, but here some jerks run the show. Bitcointalk is the opposite of Bitcoin. I think these guys should rather run FIAT forum, it more aligned with their philosophy.

Stupid is what you and a few others are doing because you don't like the way the forum runs. Take it up with theymos and stop spamming the forum with useless posts.
Stupid is trying to change a forum to suit a handful of malcontents.
Stupid is not education yourself on things you think you know but really don't.
You can lead a jackass to water but you can't bend his neck.
122  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 21, 2018, 09:28:34 PM

Counter-ratings make sense in this regard. Don't you think so?

I believe the counter ratings actually hurt the system. I know theymos has stated they are acceptable in some cases but I think they do more harm than good.
123  Economy / Reputation / Re: FAKE NEGATIVE TRUST SCORE FROM CORRUPTED USER. on: June 21, 2018, 09:23:19 PM
I've been here a long time and have put up with a lot of know it all Newbies. There was a Newbie Jail at that time.
If you want to bitch about Merit and Trust, complain to the one that implemented it, theymos, I had nothing to do with it.
What gives you any right to join a forum and want to change it to suit your needs?

I'm not blaming you. But the way this forum treats "newbies" is just ugly. I though Bitcoin was about equality and transparency, but this forum is the opposite of Bitcoin. This forum is like old school bank world where cronyism is ruling.

As I stated: When people come into an established forum and try to take it over, people get pissed. Add to that most Newbies are really not Newbies but alt. accounts trying to scam others or spam the sig campaigns. When you see this over and over, it makes you a Newbie skeptic.
If you don't like this forum, you are free to start your own. Please give the link and we will go there, bitch and take over.

Post something worthy of reading.

I have posted a lot. Go check my other topics.

What did you do to earn your 1000 Merits?

Don't know much about this forum, do ya?  Roll Eyes They buy them to make $$$$, spamming for BTC.

snip

This is because old users do not give Merit to new users.

Post something worthy of reading. Selling accounts has been going on for a long time, early days it was for pulling scams, now it's to earn BTC.
Seriously, you don't know as much as you think you do, I suggest you read up on the Trust system, why it was implemented, account selling and forum etiquette.
126  Economy / Reputation / Re: FAKE NEGATIVE TRUST SCORE FROM CORRUPTED USER. on: June 21, 2018, 08:38:03 PM
It is fair in the sense that those users did not start on it, DT2 members did not start on it rather they earned their positions with the contributions they made for the forum.

What contributions? This is just bullshit.

This is also the reason why people keep buying Full Member, Hero or Legendary accounts. Because members are not treated equally!

Attempting to abuse a Trust system, got caught and complaining that the same was done to you is just priceless.  Grin
You may end up with even more red.
128  Other / Meta / Re: Banned - Can a Mod please take a look? on: June 21, 2018, 02:29:55 AM
I think everyone deserves a second chance. I think we need to be careful with the torch and pitchforks mentality. If someone has bad intentions, sooner or later they will break the rules again (at that point they will not have any excuses)

Not when one cannot be bothered to actually read the rules.  Roll Eyes Must be nice to live in a fantasy world where everything magically revolves around self and there are no consequences.

"Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
For security, your account has been locked. Email acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com"

You shouldn't get both those messages together, the first would have the user name instead of Guest.
130  Other / Meta / Re: Banned From the Forum. Why is it so? (Hero Member) on: June 18, 2018, 10:23:33 AM
I agree that i have done a huge and uncertain mistake and therefore i apologize for the poor activity of mine. Next time i will be careful with such activities.

Sorry Rick  Sad

No next time, you must leave this forum.
131  Other / Meta / Re: let's cut the bullshit on: June 18, 2018, 01:58:07 AM
Most of the high ranks here are hypocrites as well, preaching to others that they should only be here to learn while wearing signatures for the money.

Spread the word!  To advance past Legendary you need to have not shown a paid signature for 180 days!

True dat!  Grin Cool

It turns out that the source not included causes the blocking of my account? I may be wrong, but it's too cruel. For me personally, one warning would suffice with an indication of my mistake, so that I would correct everything and do not do this in the future. I am very disappointed by the attitude of the moderators.
The attitude of mods you kidding, just think from the point of the editor. Let's say you wrote a huge ass article by spending several hours doing research and finally you see someone just copy pasting your hard work without actually giving any credit to you. I mean it may not matter in this situation and they are aware that there are assholes like you who copy their hard work. You completely deserve it as you are definitely not the first user to get banned for doing such a thing and asshole like you should reduce on this forum
With research, I agree with you but no more. This is a normal practice when successful people express their thoughts and they diverge on the world wide web of the Internet. I can be mistaken, but this is my point of view.

Your point of view and forum rules are in conflict. Forum rules win.
To a large extent, this is not a conflict. My is not attentiveness and poor knowledge of English while studying the rules, that's the problem most likely.

Your poor knowledge of forum rules is one problem. Your feelings or point of view do not supersede forum rules.
Let me help you a bit. From: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Should have read the forum rules. With so many accounts banned for plagiarism, how could not see any of them?
135  Other / Meta / Re: You have been banned by a forum moderator. on: June 17, 2018, 12:42:52 AM
I would wager the ban will stand. Remember: A permanent ban is a ban on you the user and any accounts past, present or future. You are not allowed to make a new account and continue on.
136  Other / Meta / Re: You have been banned by a forum moderator. on: June 17, 2018, 12:06:47 AM
Greetings to all members of the forum!)
Today my main account "sibnia" was blocked.
http://prntscr.com/jvsbo5
This fact happened after I received a message that one of my posts was deleted. It was written on the topic:
Bitcoin Forum> Local> Russian (English)>  Альтернативные криптовалюты (Moderators: LZ, xandry, Xal0lex)> Аналитика, анализ, прогнозы, новости.
This is my main text, it was written in Russian: "The SEC does not plan to classify Ethereum and bitcoin as securities," said William Hinmen, Director of Corporate Finance at the All Market Summit: Crypto in San Francisco: "If the crypto-currency network is sufficiently decentralized, and buyers do not rely on a third party in the management issue, the coin is not a security". This excerpt was taken from a popular site https://forklog.com/sec-ethereum-ne-yavlyaetsya-tsennoj-bumagoj/
Can I get an explanation for what happened?
That I did something for which I received such punishment?
If my actions are my fault, I am ready to take into account all my violations.

Did you credit your post with the source?
137  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned for unknown reason, help needed. on: June 16, 2018, 05:32:00 PM
A ban is never without a reason. He would have got a message explaining the reason for the ban. And the account was a newbie account, so he can make a new account. But ask him to follow all the rules carefully this time.

Also, you should consider removing the Name of the person from the message if it is his real name. Can result in privacy related problems in future.

Please read and learn forum rules. Permanent ban is for the user and all accounts.

@OP, you are allowed a new account only to post a thread in Meta about your ban. You are only to post there, in that thread about your ban.

Reading through your Trust left, you did not have any trades with them either?

In fact, they scammed me. Those are the accounts of ICO scammers. I translated their material for the bounty that I have never received. Get it now?

Obviously you don't get it now or ever. You have no clue how Trust works.
139  Economy / Reputation / Re: Regarding my negative trust on: June 16, 2018, 11:25:52 AM
From: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.msg2221664#msg2221664

I added a trust system to the marketplace sections. When you're logged in, you'll now see something like this next to Marketplace posts:
Quote
Trust: 1: -0 / +12(3)

The first number is the user's trust score calculated based on how consistently they've received positive feedback. Probably no one will get a score above 0 until the system has been around for at least a month. The second number is the number of reported scams. The third number increases with the number of positive reports, as does the fourth number in parenthesis, though the fourth number is more resistant to abuse. This text changes color depending on the score. Users with a negative score (attainable through scamming) get a red warning attached to their posts.

These scores are taken from your trust network. They are not global scores. You can edit your trust network here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust
If your trust depth is set to 2 (the default), you will trust feedback by people you trust, people they trust, and people they trust. I might change the default in the future; we'll see how this works. Your trust list is public.

On feedback pages, you can leave trade feedback. There are no rules for this, but here are some guidelines:
- List all of the trades that you do with people (or at least the major ones). This is not like #bitcoin-otc where you give people just one score.
- Do not rate people based on the quality of their posts.
- Older ratings count for more, so don't delete old ratings if you can avoid it.
- "Risked BTC" is how much money you could have lost if the person you're rating had turned out to be a scammer. Or, if they are a scammer, it's how much you lost. Use the BTC value at the time of reporting.
- It's OK to post a rating about the person in general, not tied to a specific trade.
- If you want to make a rating stronger, increase "Risked BTC". 50 extra risked BTC is equivalent to an additional rating.

If your trust list is totally empty, you trust "DefaultTrust", which includes some trustworthy people that I'll select. But if you add anyone to your trust list, even if they don't trust anyone, DefaultTrust will no longer be considered part of your trust list.

In the near future I'll add these same ratings to PMs.

Tell me if you see any bugs. I didn't test this much yet.

140  Economy / Reputation / Re: Regarding my negative trust on: June 16, 2018, 11:02:54 AM
I am pretty sure merits are not moderated (says on local thread made by local moderator)... After all, this score is still untrue and misleading because NO trade was made.

Scams are not moderated either. Having a trade is not a prerequisite to leaving Trust.

You don't get the point. This feedback is STILL false. I did NOT request anything (money/merits) in return even though that person sent me. But Lauda says we did a trade.

I have a solution: Let's completely remove Merits of both or give back to their owners and Lauda remove this feedback.

I "get your point" but it does not matter. Lauda is the only one that can remove the rating. Get it now?

Reading through your Trust left, you did not have any trades with them either?
