Hello, I got my account banned today morning. May I know the reason? Project's team said they will manage and review applicants. I contacted them about that but they are not replying, so what's my fault? The aim was not incentive posting. We can get the issue resolved if it is for any of the existing threads. Please consider the issue. Please don't review beginning posts as they are not the reason of ban nor I continued to do so. Sir, with your responses insisting the moderators to remove your original account's ban despite of how well the rules are posted, locked, and even highlighted on the top of each and every sections, could lead to another ban of your new account and future accounts you will make just to insist more your complains. Therefore, stop insisting like we don't get how important an old and high ranked account is. Although it is disappointing, all you can do is to make a new account following the bitcointalk's rules and regulation. Have respect sir or spend time posting complains and gain nothing. Stop encouraging the breaking of forum rules. Permaban is forever and includes OP's past, present and future accounts. |

so long story short, i deposited some bitcoins in this exchange to buy some altcoins but when i first tried to withdraw i realized that you need to do KYC verification process first in order to withdraw (you know the typical passport photo ect..) so anyway im currently outta town right now and i don't usually carry my passport with me so i kinda need someone who is wiling to do this verification for me and i will pay him 50$ when my account gets verified.simple as that
so what do u need to have:
a passport and a camera

Can we agree to disagree on how to handle disagreements?
There can be different levels of disagreement I think:
1) I disagree with the rating and I wouldn't have posted such rating but I can see why the sender did - nothing to do here expect perhaps comment on the forum.
2) I disagree with the rating and I think there is additional context needed - I can post a neutral for the recipient.
3) I disagree with the rating and I think it shouldn't be there - that's where the counter-rating comes in handy.
4) I disagree with the rating and I don't trust the sender's opinion in general (unlikely just because of one rating) - I can exclude the sender from my trust list.
Escalating to DT1 may be a bit harsh if it's merely a matter of one rating, and merely talking to the sender may be a bit lacking if the sender is stubborn.

I don't think that ever works. I have seen a lot of people getting tagged, and a few ratings have been illegitimate and they have never been removed, even after having discussions. I don't want to point out names but yes that is the case. Sometimes, countering seems like a good option.
A few DT members have a lot of ego, doesn't matter if they are trustworthy. That ego does a lot of harm than good. This is one of the main reasons why the trust system doesn't function well.
It does more than you think, I've personally done this many times over the years with good results. Nothing you can do with ego. |

First, it's not fake as you claim. I read the link in the Reference and in my opinion, it is justified. Second, theymos will almost certainly not remove it. In extreme cases of spam it would be considered but this is not your case.
It is fake. Negative trust and the warning message: "Warning: Trade with extreme caution!" Indicates that I have scammed people. However I have not. I was given fake negative trust reviews just because some asshole members do not like what I do. This is their problem. But giving negative trust for that is wrong and abuses the whole trust system. How many times I need to explain this: "I don't like what this person does" IS NOT THE SAME AS "This person should not be trusted". How many times must this be explained to you? You were attempting to manipulate a feedback system, that's red no matter how you see it, feel it, justify it or call it marketing. You don't get it because you are being willfully ignorant. You may as well lock this thread because it will go nowhere. |

I believe the counter ratings actually hurt the system. I know theymos has stated they are acceptable in some cases but I think they do more harm than good. What would be the right course of action if there was a rating that you disagreed with, then? If a user was particularly unflinching in regards to changing it, then there don't seem to be many options. You message the leaver of said rating and talk it over. If that doesn't work, you talk it over with the D1 that sponsors that D2 member. If nothing there, you move on and agree to disagree. Seriously, all you did was keep controversy going but turned up a notch. I didn't agree with your counter, should I have left a counter-counter to be counter-counter-countered by another? Not everyone will agree with every rating because we are all individuals with our own ideals. |

I guess you didn't read my original topic. I asked if an admin can help me to remove fake negative trust rating. If theymos can do that, then why no one told about that earlier? Who the fuck cares if you're a Hero Member or a Jr. Member? I don't see why this is something to complain about. You talk about equality and transparency. The only differences between the ranks are post time intervals (to prevent spam, which makes sense) and signature elements.
I guess no one cares. The only problem that only those members can give Trust rating that changes overall Trust of a member. You probably should have PM'ed the one that left it and tried to fix it before the tirades but from this thread, pride is getting in the way. |
