Sorry guys, the submissions should be visible now. Copy paste error I didn't notice!

Real as usual, suffer 6 attempts and 2 on goal, hit back with just the one and convert. Looking good for the lot of us putting it all on Real!
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: April 30, 2024, 05:00:21 PM
I see many of us silly people waiting around for Sinner and Alcaraz games -- the latter of course just had to take it all the way to tiebreak, but once he was 3-0 up, didn't need to wait to hit send. Then as soon as I write this, Struff goes 4-3!

Actually really hate to leave it late but it really looked wobbly for them both, didn't it?

Of course, it'll all go to hell when they both drop out at semis haha.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cold Wallet - The First Real Crypto Movie on: April 30, 2024, 02:00:06 PM
The first real crypto movie? I was almost tempted to watch it until I saw the word "heist". At least Dope semi-described what Silk Road might have looked like for some people but why does a Bitcoin movie always have to have an element of crime attached?

I suppose the story of buway the guy who finally found a way to conduct business and send money home without restrictions is too boring for a "real crypto film".

Gentlemen, a gentle prod to enter your picks before the first semi leg kicks off tonight. I'm feeling good vibes for Bellingham tonight, and even Modric. I feel like they're ready to flex, even if Kane wants to say something about it

I think this is all that' relevant for everyone to know: semifinals + final will be counted as one round. You sort out the h2h for yellow caps if necessary.

Yes, and it has been in OP that MD10 will be a combination of all these, since the pool was announced, so it shouldn't be a surprise anyway =)

No one should expect a yellow cap for so few games. I'll be even more specific in future, but who reads all those terms in OP anyway right? Wink

Actually thought Valencia might be a banana skin, but their old "hey, let's play with 10 men" card just came right into play, didn't it? Now just why couldn't Lewie turn up during Clasico eh? Just wonder where he goes or how he plays next season, Xavi must realise he has to lower the fulcrumdowski.

I'd like to bet on Hhampuz against a rusty Buwaytress team  Grin Grin
Yo agree here, this needs a Sportsbet special Wink

Hhampuz beat one top guy already, and he did super good in last season cup IIRC

Why you all be hating on me :p

I backed Chi20 all the way last season but I'd back Hhampuz too -- they seem really good at KO comps. I wouldn't bet on myself, every win has been a scrape, every loss has been devastating (refer to my GD).

Hhampuz will have to wait, though, right now it's one of my old rivals...

Now it is time to get back in BSFL title league run and next game is with brother team buwaytress.
Our supporters are ready for another spectacle Smiley

     vs

Really like your logo! I'll try and live up to expectations. Tennis almost proved to provide some clues to my picks, but everything more or less went as expected in Madrid even if it feels like everyone's expecting Nadal to drop his racquet!
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2024, 05:08:42 PM
Don't kid yourself, we both know, you are playing next season  Grin

Am I so predictable =(

Maybe I should get all these free giveaways some tax-deductible statement haha

Well at least now I know that you couldn't change your team at all, because honestly I was thinking your lineup is FPL suicide.

Egyptian King is probably getting shipped to saudi arabia next summer. It's a shame. I'll still buy his shirt though.

On the bright side, I guess I could have done a lot worse -- but I am ruing the missed chance to swap Raya for Pickford (1 point for 10) whom I was much more sure of a clean sheet. And out some injuries. And definitely not captain/vice the same old dudes again... but knowing me I'll probably forget to make changes again if I wait too long.
128  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE] The Halvening 2024 playing cards featuring Bitcointalk users on: April 29, 2024, 03:54:19 PM
Just confirming that my order was fulfilled also, I'll add an update once the decks arrive -- they're a gift so I won't be able to "review" them but I'll be sure to pass on the feedback. Can't see how I won't be happy though, the samples were enough to convince me =)

Also very glad others think so!

Order placed and paid.
Honestly, this deck of cards is a great statement about the community of this forum.
I'm already looking for the next one in 4 years!

Agree! I built mine around a different community, and maybe nowhere near as illustrious as the Bitcoin OGs, but still a part of the forum I like to think is one of the more active ones =)

Got an early congratulatory message from Renato, good game fella. Sorry for you, tough to lose on a goal chalked off, but that's the margins we live and die by on BSFL.

Pleased to progress, now awaiting Hhampuz or leea, the only Spurs fan I know on the forum, went for them against Arsenal, brave choice!

Please explain how I lost in the tennis question If Nadal & DeMuniar won their match on Friday, and they played against each other on Saturday, how can we consider de muniar a loser if he played against Nadal?I thought that considering them both winners was the right decision
I do not protest and I am happy with you whether you win or lose. In fact, I do not consider myself a loser and I am listening with you.

I think we've had plenty of questions in tennis where 2 or more selections could face each other -- in fact, Nadal vs de Minaur was also in the last round's question.

You actually had the edge considering them both winners -- guys like me picked de Minaur and lost both points from Nadal's win. It's a strategy I tried before too (picking both yes to guarantee a point).
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 28, 2024, 09:36:45 AM
Nobody trust Darwin to score a goal except buwaytress

This made me laugh Grin
It has kind of been the story of our season, yeah. We create chances often but miss the impossible - both Nunez and Diaz.

This image from theanalyst clearly shows how poor we've been compared to City and especially Arsenal.

Shush now friends, one must eat the cake that was made for him. Maybe Slot sells him, maybe not, but he's all we got, I have to believe in him haha.

Darwin's goals are all really great for highlights reels, nothing like Salah who has maybe 70% of goals just good finishing. I won't forget that he led the tables for Europe's best with the few minutes he had, but yeah his regression seems to be at par with his teammates now.

Liverpool broke a lot of records this season. Most wins from behind, most injury time goals, and most post/bar hits. In all English league history. I do feel that a bit of bad luck played a part, but I always said this was unsustainable. And it finally broke the camel's back.

Your chart does prove that many teams overperformed expected goals though, while we underperformed. We're usually on the other side of that line...
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2024, 04:12:46 PM
Salah yet again comes up with a below average point. His been just too terrible to let stay through the GWs and minutes he spent on my team. Worst, having no returns for captaincy. Those of you who still have faith in his abilities, good luck with that, Liverpool is in no form to haul and so is Salah.

You gotta feel sorry for buwaytress, his captain ( Darwin) and Salah ( V) subbed in around 80mins. He manage to get 3 points off those two players. Liverpool assets are red flags for now.

You know what's sick? I have been out all day/night since Friday, some unexpected plans meant I couldn't go home, so I wasn't able to change anything on my team (was too troublesome to dig out an account on phone).

All the same, I didn't expect Salah NOT to start. Klopp's always been patient with him, form or no form. Incredible to lose so many points for nothing, after a fantastic week in the Bottlers league.

I'm honestly not sure I should be playing FPL next season. Way too demanding to play properly Tongue #xavivibes

Been following Liverpool but switched off my live text updates as Areola down injured. Think I will save myself some heartache with checking later.

Good news is 2 of my tennis Nos are already out. If de Minaur wins today I should at least get a draw out of that.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2024, 12:36:42 PM
Well. I was always expecting to concede first, it has been our song all season. But cannot remember the last time outside Europe we have been dominated in attack and midfield.

Not even able to watch but the pain seeps through the text updates I am getting. Mournful swansong for Klopp... and a torrid peek behind the curtains for Slot.

Igebotz at least our rebuild should not come with your price tag burden #laughsob
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Natural selection explains why bitcoin will always rise on: April 26, 2024, 07:51:20 PM
Natural selection should dictate that Bitcoin will be displaced some day. Not today, not in our lifetime, but the law of probability should mean that something better, or more resilient, or however you want to put it, better at survival, will displace it some day. No?
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: April 26, 2024, 03:08:14 PM
How does the yellow cap thing work for the final round on Supberbru? Is it semifinals + final?

Correct! Yellow Cap only works for semis + final I believe.

But we will only award the top 3, so even if we have more than 3 yellow cappers, we'll only take the top 3 as listed on Superbru as it counts historical H2Hs on tiebreakers.

Edit: Actually I just checked and I'm not sure now... I always assumed its semis+final but Superbru seems to have arranged it differently. Don't worry, I'll manually decide points for these matches if necessary. Good ask, I assumed too much haha.

A quick question, regarding the questions that involves a player's goals and/or assists and then those involving the number of goals scored by a team or in a match, is it just the 90 minutes that are taking into consideration right ? or does any potential extra 30 minutes count as well ?

Including potential extra time, unless it is specified in the outcome itself. Only 1 outcome counts regular time, but it's specified and in response below. Hope that clears things up!

Anyways thanks for managing all this Buwa  Smiley

As long as you guys enjoy it, I'm happy!

For M1b, M2b and M3b - regular time only or also overtimes included?

Overtimes included, except for outcome:
- in M1b "Real to score in both halves [regular time, no ET counted] (3.0)"

I think if I understand this form correctly, then everything in Bonus is Extra Time included, otherwise only 90 mins FT, right buway?

Right you are!

Thank you for the reminder.

Just entering my picks against majority of the favourites this week. Nothing for me to fight for, so just hoping for some brilliant upsets and consolation freebets Wink

Leverkusen will complete their season unbeaten, very sure of it. But I'll back them losing every week from now on. Funny that odds on those aren't great though!

mv1986, why you so bad to Little Mouse?!
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samourai Wallet seized by the feds on: April 25, 2024, 09:06:44 PM
Can anyone see a silver lining?
I personally can't. Samourai wasn't a custodial mixer, so that to say this seizure encouraged the adoption of self-custodial solutions, or whatever. Samourai was one of the best and cheap solutions to coinjoin most effectively and self-custodially. Now the second best, IMO, is XMR swap, and I dare to add, XMR in general as it embodies the true spirit of cypherpunks, which Bitcoin failed to. The only problem is that Bitcoin appreciates more in capital than Monero.

Always held Monero with respect, and now that you mentioned it, am wondering why no one's gone for their devs or taken down their gits or whatever. Suppose it helps they have never really gathered the capital or volume as you say.

One must hope "this is not the end" but to bring back the silver lining question I asked and to answer myself, perhaps this is one more reason for people to attempt a "return" to basics. Hurts me personally a little to see recent cypherpunk headlines talking about Pavel instead of some other Bitcoin or even Monero relation.

Gentlemen! It's time for the final matchday. This is the only and final submission for Pot B, while on Superbru's Pot A, I will remind you once the finalists are known.

For Pot B, ML outcomes are on the first legs of the semifinals, with bonus outcomes for the second legs as well as 2 sets of outcomes for the final. Loads of big odds to choose from, many of them are actually based on outright odds from Rollbit, so these aren't (all) guesswork. Good luck for Tuesday!

*Responses for current Matchday hidden until deadline has passed

Please enter your picks for both events. Both event deadlines are kickoff, 19:00 UTC (forum time) on 30 April 2024. Late match submissions won't be counted. Remember to fill in bitcointalk usernames exactly as it is =) For Pot B, Leaderboards will be updated a day or two after final match scheduled for 1 June 2024.

In addition, by the final, I will have converted the 10,000 USDT to BTC. Details will be shared. I intend to pay out winners by 4th June, allowing 3 days for Superbru to finalise rankings and for Pot B participants to scrub out errors.

These users below did NOT submit Bitcoin addresses to me when requested previously. This is a final reminder, if you don't send it to me, and you win a prize, I will assume you want it donated =)

Buwaytress is probably walking home with the highest GW points prize money after this round.

Nah, I see Renato297 with 150 points (we both did well because of Everton players and Bench Boost, can you believe it? If Mykolenko had only stayed on the pitch I might have squeezed out a bit more but Branthwaite scoring was unexpected). I only have two players left and they play on opposing teams, so I'd be lucky to have both do well. Gross is one, and he only made my team because I didn't want a penalty of getting him out.

Lol. I thought I was gathering a group of EPL e-diots to steal their mBTC, but I was actually gathering a bunch of undercover agents. Buwaytress suddenly started hitting 70+ every fuckin week, up from an average of 40+ in the main league. There's NotATether too.  Grin

Salah captaincy field me twice - from 1st to 4th Nah I'm loving this mini league.

Plenty more weeks to go for me to return to my shitty average, don't worry. But at least I'm putting up a decent fight, eh? Don't get me wrong, I'm dreaming of a late charge but I've used up all my cards, and will probably keep Nunez and Salah. So you know what to expect heh heh
