Would merged mining be possible? I like the idea mining other coins and additionally mine Doge without extra effort. Shouldn't be hard to find a pool that supports the coin this way.

There's no need to get the coin from 0 to 100 in a week. I think a steady increase looks like a reliable and solid coin which attracts more people to trade/invest than just another pump and dump coin which goes in 4 weeks from 0 to 100 and 4 weeks later from 100 to 0. Just my 2 cents, of course.
